I took my Mac book pro for repair, they couldn’t even find out what was wrong with the computer they first told me that was motherboard but when I checked it I found out it was screen which I had replaced just 1.5 years ago and Although there was no Crack On the screen then costumer rep. put that down as crack screen. to sum up what ever your problem is they will find a reason to blame you for the issue.

Long wait despite having an appointment, some staff are nice and helpful but not all. Like DMV workers but with God complexes. And shameful that there’s no bathroom available to customers. Plus despite paying for the Apple care, they charge you for repairs. I’m not sure why Apple has its excellent reputation, This isn’t the first time I’ve been unimpressed. But it’s my own fault for buying their products.

I went there last week and it was a great experience! The store is huge and very crowded, but as soon as we walked in Kara greeted us with a big smile. She was super friendly, explained everything we needed to know and always had that friendly smile. We absolutely loved her, she made the whole experience so much better! Apple | The Flagship Store of 5th Avenue (Please Note: **AS OF THIS REVIEW** This Apple store has been under construction for some time. They are doing a redesign (and restoration) on the glass as well as the store underneath. It began in 2017 and has been estimated to be completed in late 2019. While you won't be able to enjoy walking through the glass cube just yet, you'll still be able to see it (from behind construction walls, haha). At the very least, stay tuned any and all news pertaining to Apple as this will be a massive re-grand opening of one of the city's LARGEST (and most photographed) attractions.) This Apple Store on 5th Avenue has attracted visitors from all over the world! The iconic glass entrance as you walk down the stairs (or the elevator) down to the massive store right underneath your feet is marvelous and a very cool experience each and every time. Not only will you get top quality Apple customer experience/support from the top quality team, but you'll also get to enjoy one of 5th Avenue's best stores, the best in my opinion (I'm biased haha!). Be sure to check it out if you are traveling from out of state or country! You won't be disappointed by this awesome Apple marvel!

They aren't all given the same training so on any given day you'll get different information from different technicians. I feel like Starbucks does a much better job at training and they're job isn't as cool as working at the genius bar. Experience was horrible and I felt like they treated me like I was lying because he's kept saying " that's not what we do" .

I visited the Apple 5th Avenue store on it’s opening day, which coincided with the release of the new iPhone 11 series. Needless to say, there was a very long wait, over two hours, to get inside the store. The people on the line had pre-ordered phones and I expected fast service, but in reality it took 15-20 minutes to complete each phone purchase. I am hopeful Apple can devise an Express Line for people who just want to pick up their phone and leave without going through the setup /activation process at the store. Anyway, I am writing this positive review because once I entered the store via a beautiful spiral staircase, I was greeted with a truly beautiful experience. The underground space is airy and well lit. The skylights are an excellent touch. There are many trees with seats around them and a wall of fern-like greenery, making this store feel like it’s not in Manhattan. There is a large high quality video presentation screen with ample seating. In the center is a shiny round chrome elevator which also has the effect of reflecting everything around the store. It was worth waiting outdoors to have such a non-crowded experience indoors. The store carries ample stock of all the latest items, including Apple Watch Hermes and the new iphones. Everything is laid out beautifully and I felt very relaxed once inside the store. Apple did an excellent job with the interior design of it’s iconic 5th Avenue store. I am impressed. I highly recommend a visit.

The experience was great I preordered and payed for the New Iphone 11 max pro before coming. And set it up for pick up I scheduled it by 12:30 and I arrived by 12:15 .They Take you and put you in a separate line until your time since I was the first one there I got to be servered first they were helpful and asked me if I wanted to set it up there. But I decided I could do it at home and left in total the time it took for me to be in and Out was 15 mins at most , very helpful and I will do it next time I need to get an upgrade.

I had a freak accident happen to my laptop right before I had to DJ. When I first arrived I was told there was a 3 hour wait time; I said I’ll wait but is it ok if I try to troubleshoot and google by one of your computers they said it was fine. One of their employees (Peter) went out of his way to google some stuff and even told me about an app where I can chat with an Apple tech live while I wait. That same gentlemen got my appointment pushed up and the technician (Justin) was knowledgeable, patient, and very helpful. A++ for these guys! They truly were my saviors tonight.

1.5 - 2 hour wait from the time on your reservation and that's only if you have a reservation, and at best mediocre support. Apple has really dropped very low sadly. The lines are either incompetence or a marketing ploy taking advantage of their users for a little free press. :(

Currently under construction. So that cool glass entrance with the elevator isn’t an option right now. But hey, the store still exists and has everything you need! I had a great time trying out the newest iPad. I loved that it came with a pen that wrote really well and was easy to use. What fun!

This store gets really busy. I went for an iPhone issue. There were no appointments available on their website so i ended up walking in. They said the wait was 40 minutes so i was put on the walk-in list. Stepped out and received a text message 15 min before my name was to be called and then started walking back to the store. They really operate efficiently here. Update: New Apple store looks amazing. So much bigger, bright, and same amazing staff.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENTS. THEY PROMISE STUFF FOR PICK UP AND WHEN YOU COME TO THE STORE THEY REFUSE TO GIVE THE ITEM BECAUSE OF SYSTEM ERROR. PLEASE DONT ORDER ANYTHING HERE!!!!!!!! I ordered AirPods for my brother, we paid for it , and it was saying available for pick up today. We came here to the store and they are not available, they have the AirPods on the stock and they refused to give them to us. Very bad service, we called costumer service and they were very rude saying if you want to cancel your order we can give you the money back in next 5 business days. Very disappointed with this store, very bad service. Wasted my time and have to wait 5 days to get my money back.

Really good experience in this place almost 10 years ago, back when apple was awesome. I remember getting into this store and being amazed by the architecture and products. I bought a pair of headphones and the team of people were super friendly, helpful and professional. I've been using my iPhone for 3 years now and I'm desperate to change it, and would love to go back to this store and purchase it. But the truth is that I find the new iPhones dreadful, that notch is simply unbearable to me. Hope they get the design right once again.

Okay I tried to get in over the opening weekend and I was prepared to buy a new iPhone MAX Pro and Ceramic Edition Apple Watch 5 but due to the 2.5 hour wait I decided to walk away. I couldn’t understand why there wasn’t two lines, people that were going into just walk around vs customers ready to purchase. Oh well, lesson learned.

Very bad service regarding Apple Watch, I bought Apple Watch with apple care package and when it broke I came to the store to swap it but they told me they can’t replace it in the store (like iPhone devices), instead they need to send it to the depot to swap which will take two weeks, I told them I am traveling back to my country Saudia Arabia tomorrow, and they told me we cannot help you, you have to have a friend in USA so we can send it to him. I believe apple care and apple in general should have better policy than this, specially at this branch where it serve many foreigners from all around the world, you cans confiscate people from their right to receive an equal treatment as Americans do.

Definitely not my first choice of NYC Apple Stores to go to for anything— technical support and purchases alike. The staff aren’t as friendly at this store (in comparison to Soho, Grand Central and UWS). I’ has several poor experiences in this store... plus, they’re doing construction of some sort, so the entrance is just a temporary set of metal stairs. The nice thing is that this location is 24hrs... but unless you break your phone in the middle of the night and need immediate service, go elsewhere.

Two stars just for the costumers service that try to help, but for Apple itself I would give no stars. Previously I asked apple to recover my account and they made such a big deal about it up to close my account permanently which made me switch to Android and so happy with my decision. Today I went there to help a friend of mine to recover his account, and guess what, they came up with the solution that makes us wait 14 day so they can verify the account. What in hell do they need to verify for 2 weeks, are they getting a lawyer and go to court? So irresponsible of people's need, my friend can lose his business since he can't access to any of the client's numbers or addresses saved into the apple account. I would suggest to everyone I know and anyone seing this message, Move to Android and you'll be much happier.

I went to the Apple Store yesterday with a friend.We went there after our visit to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center.Since I saw the building the Apple Store was next to from atop of the Rock,I asked my friend if he wanted to go there and he agreed.My friend's a huge iPhone fan.I'm not.As he was looking around at the different iPhone models at the store,I thought I'd surprise him by getting him one.His current smartphone is an iPhone 7 and he wanted to upgrade to the Max so badly,but just couldn't afford it.I also saw how frustrated he was at the Top of the Rock when he wasn't able to take anymore photos because he ran out of space.He was so mad he literally wanted to throw the phone over the building!I started talking to a sales person about a phone for him.He saw us,but I don't think he cared.We had a long day and he just wanted to go home.After I payed for the phone and the set up,about 15 minutes later I got the phone.I told the sales person to hold on to it because I didn't want my friend to think it was for him.We went upstairs to the second level of the store,sat down at a table,and I told my friend the phone was his.An XS Max (256 gigs),in gold.My friend,who doesn't show a lot of excitement,just simply said "thank you" to me.I could see he was grateful for the gift though when I saw him playing around with it.

Horrible service. They didn’t care about my problem and blamed the problem on me. I went in again to fix my battery drainage problem because the technician I had 2 days ago told me if there was anymore problems, to come to the store again and they would have another solution for me. This time, The check in person was rude and said it was my fault and for using my phone too much when I only use it to listen to music and I also told them that the battery dies in 4-5 hours but they said that that’s because I use it intensely. I barely have anything on my phone. Very unsatisfied. Some technicians are nice but today, I met two that were very impatient and rude. They just blamed the problem on me.Before I got a battery change, I could probably use it for a day but every since I changed the batteries, I would only use it for 3 hours. The second time I went in, they changed it and now it lasts 4-5 hours but it’s still not much so I went in and the technicians were just blaming it on me.

An amazing Apple Store. Very big, well placed and on two floors. You can buy a lot of things. Of course Apple devices but also DJI products, BEATS headsets, Philips Hue etc. People there are very kind and helpful. If you need any advice, don't hesitate to ask them, they will help you very well.

Went in for a walk in, the greeter at the door was incredibly rude during the initial appt creation. I had told her that im here to replace an item. She barked at me asking when did i purchase it. I told her a couple months back. She then snapped at “i said how long ago.” First of all, I worked at Apple previously and she definitely did not meet the apple steps of service. Given all the training Apple employees had received I definitely was not expecting that. I did not get her name but even my friend told me afterwards that she felt the Apple employee was so rude towards us. It definitely left a sour taste in our mouth. The dude at the genius bar was accommodating, efficient and knows what hes talking about. Got us in n out in 10 mins. I was debating to speak to a manager regarding the greeter but I didn’t want to waste my time with her snobby attitude anymore. The 3 stars is for the guy at the genius bar.

The level of apathy amongst the staff was shockingly high. I had a trade-in that was inspected and ok'd but when I returned a week later after receiving the phone's replacement, they said they changed their policy a few days ago and won't be accepting the phone. Once presented with the situation, two separate employees had said "this was not their problem". Very uncomfortable experience.

Exceptional staff and management team. my daughter was at the store in the middle of her mid-terms and her computer was not rebooting. The staff and Management team works around clock in assisting her with her issue. Next day I get a phone call that is ready and to be picked up. The staff is exceptional. Easy to see right off of 5th Avenue servicing Midtown and the adjoining areas of Manhattan. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. New York City prices so bring your credit cards. Staff is nice. We will definitely be going back.

I went to this store on a week day and was not so crowded. The attention was really good and I found what I was looking, in my case was IPhone X cases. In my opinion is the main store in New York City so if you are looking for Apple products you must go there first. Enjoy it!

Disappointing customer service. They recalled my macbook (over 3000 dollars) line because of a battery issue. Plus, I paid over 600 dollars to fix my computer few months ago. Why couldnt they fix and find it back then? Also They made it think it was my fault. Took almost two weeks which meant I couldnt work. Horrible. I called the apple care customer service, it's really long wait on the phone to get someone and the line disconnected easily. The voice quality is not good during the phone call. Today 07/15/2019 I came to the apple store to check my phone which had some problems. But Their service is sucks! Misinformations lead long wait. Very frustrating! Great store! The best apple store I have ever seen and experienced. I like store atmosphere and the entrance to the Apple Store. Service is excellent and staff is very friendly ,attentive, patient and also could solve the most of your inquiries and issue. I love the interior of the store as well as the lighting system. The Apple Store on Fifth Avenue is a great store and a great tourist destination for so many reasons. This is Apple’s flagship store & it’s right by Central Park. Architecturally speaking, I like the glass box entrance (even though it does remind me of a Borg Cube). I also love that this store is open 24 hours, so if you keep odd hours (like me), you can come here and not have to wait so long for help. I came here first during the afternoon, but wasn’t prepared for the crowds, so a came in after 2 in the morning and it was kinda surreal cuz I’m not used to making large financial transactions in the middle of the night without worrying if I’m going to be arrested… I got the iPhone that I wanted in the color I wanted with no problem!

A beautiful all glass building. You have to see it if you're at 5th Avenue. Apart from apple products, they also have a nice collection of audio accessories on upper deck. I am a tourist here, and so visiting the place was a privilege, even though I didn't intend to buy anything. What I didn't like is that the apple watches and mobile phones weren't marked with names so sometimes it was difficult figuring out which model it is. Oh, and mac pro is a work of art!!

I went a month ago because my son’s phone broke they charged me $350 for a “brand new” replacement phone. When we got home the volume button was broken. My thing is how can a “brand new” phone out the box have a broken button.

They Always have every apple product in stock. last three months i went there to get my AirPods, i was searching for them in multiple apple stores, but all of them were out of stock in which they recommended me to order online. Apple fifth Avenue was my last choice, as soon as i went inside the customers service employees were too friendly and guided me to get my new airpods. The experience there to me was amazing I highly recommended.

Worst Apple store experience. This store is a circus with no ringleader. Apple's tourist trap. During peak hours they only have two people checking in customers at Genius Bar except, wait, there is no Genius bar. So be prepared to ask 10 people where to find these two workers who are dressed like every other employee in the store and search for them in nondescript location. Then be prepared to wait 20 mins after your scheduled appointment before anyone comes to help you. One of two workers came over to check in with me after I went to verify I was checked in. He was very nice, as was the employee who eventually helped me. The new iphone was recently released so this may be contributing but even still.

For the most part the customer service is helpful and kind but sometimes you get the feeling that they don't want to be with the customer. For the average apple customer, I would personally recommend a smaller store. The smaller size and smaller ratio of employees to customers just makes it a better experience overall

What customer service? My son went there on July 28 and found out he had a defective product. He was to receive a replacement as it was still under warranty but they didn’t have any in stock. He was told it will take 5 to 7 business days. After waiting for 10 business days he called and was told that its on back order and will take longer. “Maybe next week” was what he was told. They’re not even sure. Really??? After all this wait?? My son’s been waiting desperately and they didn’t bother to at least let us know? They have all our contact information. If they can’t cover a defective product still under warranty in a reasonable time like 10 business days, couldn’t they just replace it with any similar products? I’m not asking for free upgrade here but then don’t make us wait forever. Now I know this was a VERY conditional warranty all along. I’m just so upset and disappointed with their customer service. Learn from Samsung and BOSE when it comes to replacements.

This place is not as big as the original one that they had, but still really helpful and friendly staff. Expect to put your name down in line to see a genius but it is expected since this place is filled with tourist due to this place's popularity. The displayed products are typical of any apple shop. Overall this place is nice except for the tiny staircase that leads to the shop, they could have designed a better looking and probably safer entry into the upper level shop entrance.

This location is great for trying new products before you make your selection. You are assigned a team member who will walk around with you and answer any questions, then they check out your purchase on the spot which is really convenient. If you go late in the day the people hanging around to charge their phones can be an issue while you are trying to make your selection. There are a few of each item on display so person walking around with you can usually show you to another one on display that you may not have noticed. This location is also great for repairs, though my experience has been that you have to check in with them. Twice they lost my reservation, but after checking the confirmation that I had received they worked to fix the issue and get me out the door in the same amount of time it would have been if everything went perfectly.

Very bad experience. Spent many hours on the phone and in the store trying to figure out how to buy several iPhones to a delegation. When could not face the fact that they made mistakes and provided me with wrong instructions, they sent a person could “Zoe” to dismiss me . She was the worst . Very rude . It was like the DMV not apple store.

Quite a few employees here look like they’re just here to socialize. I couldn’t get a diagnostic done on my phone, after it shutdown unexpectedly, because they’re standing around talking to each other endlessly. Even after asking multiple employees for help, I was shuffled off to other employees and finally got fed up and left. At least the first guy we talked to at the door was helpful, but after that, forget it.

This is my part-time hustle. This is the only Apple store in the world open 24 hours...yes, you read correctly...24 hours. Hell has to be freezing over in order for this store to close it's doors. Went to get Mac repaired at genius bar, it was busy and they still managed to accommodate me within few mins, employees were super helpful, took care of the issue and shipped it to my home within 2 days despite the standard 3-5 business days turnaround that was communicated. Terrible service, the people who prepaid an iPhone and scheduled pick up time should stay and wait outside about three hours to get inside. However, some people who just walked by just get inside right away and a few people from the line who has impudence just went inside. What the point to allow people to make an appointment on specific hour if you cannot make it.
