I brought in my beat up laptop to have the fan fixed and the hard drive cleaned up. I also mentioned I had take it apart and had some trouble getting it all back together and in the process had lost my mouse pad. If they could fix my mouse that would be great. I preferred to put a deposit down and they gave me a quick price of $200.
I got a call a few days later giving me an update and that the new fan would be in on Monday and my computer should be ready the next day. In all he would have my computer for a little over a week, mostly due to waiting for the new fan to arrive. So far I'm pleased.
Upon arriving to pick up my computer and he showed me the old fan and told me that he could fix my mouse, but would need to order a new part. I thought to myself, why didn't he mention this earlier. I asked how much for the work done and he thought a little and he told me $125. I mentioned I had already paid $200, so I figured I would get a $20 something wireless mouse.
After putting my choice of mouse down on the counter he seemed to indicate that we were done. No receipt, given for the work down, nothing written down for the mouse taken and now the $125 he just quoted me seems to have increases by another $50 cause I paid ahead. I asked if we were even and he said yes.
Upon getting home the error code I get when I try to install Google Chrome still pop up. I was hoping that if he cleaned up my registry that I wouldn't get these error messages. I now doubt he cleaned my registry. Also every time I log in, I get this pop up screen asking me to pick a program for something that is trying to open. I mentioned this when he booted up my computer when I went to pick it up and he quickly did something, but upon returning home, the problem is still there.
