When they don't work, computers can freeze progress in some areas of life and be VERY frustrating! I tried for 6 weeks to find answers with an issue that was crashing my work in excel. I was using the "help" that came with MS 365. It took hours and, in some instances, made it worse. I finally gave up. In the past, Dover Computer Repair had done a great job fixing a laptop with a cracked screen, even lending me a portable screen to use. but I wasn't sure how they could unwind this mess. I knew I didn't want to be without what was working in my computer for who knows how long. And I know how busy they are, but I really needed help. I went there yesterday with my Samsung galaxy S2 Tab. Talked to them on phone and got a price to replace the charging port. I said ok. They wanted to see tablet to make sure they ordered the right part to replace it. I thought I'd replace internal battery as it's a year and a half old while they had it open anyway. When I got there they took a look and gave me a new cord. This one fit snug and worked great! It's on charger as I write this. It's actually charging up instead of slowly losing power as I use it. This has been going on for last 3 weeks. They could've ordered parts did work, but they were refreshingly honest and charged me two dollars for cord!!! Yes that 2 bucks!!! I ran it over to DCR and Jim was very nice, he immediately knew that we would need to replace the old hard drive to a solid state drive. On Monday, Jim called with an update, and by Tuesday I was able to pick up my laptop, it's running better than ever, it's great! I called Andrew he detoxed my computer in short order remotely from DCR. His fee was more than reasonable. He is very kind, compassionate, and patient. When I lived in Georgia I used to go to what was considered the best computer store around (for repairs and purchases). For purchases I still say it remains unbeaten, but for repairs it most certainly has been dethroned in my heart by DCR. In GA I was charged an arm and a leg just for diagnostics and even more for repairs that stuck maybe 50% of the time. I have a new computer now that recently blue screened for the first time. DCR fixed it in under a week (ordering a new part and everything) and was very fairly priced. When I got home I discovered my network adapter card was on the fritz, called DCR and they walked me through some troubleshooting and now it works beautifully again. God forbid I have any more computer problems, but should I need to get my desktop looked at again, DCR will be at the top of my go-to list.

So...I dutifully applied an update to Windows and then (wait for it), it would not restart. It sat there inert. I took 'er in to the Dover computer guys. They diagnosed the problem the same morning I dropped it off. They had it fixed by the afternoon and its been working fine ever since. I found the price very reasonable indeed. I would recommend you check them out if you are having computer troubles.

When I lived in Georgia I used to go to what was considered the best computer store around (for repairs and purchases). For purchases I still say it remains unbeaten, but for repairs it most certainly has been dethroned in my heart by DCR. In GA I was charged an arm and a leg just for diagnostics and even more for repairs that stuck maybe 50% of the time. I have a new computer now that recently blue screened for the first time. DCR fixed it in under a week (ordering a new part and everything) and was very fairly priced. When I got home I discovered my network adapter card was on the fritz, called DCR and they walked me through some troubleshooting and now it works beautifully again. God forbid I have any more computer problems, but should I need to get my desktop looked at again, DCR will be at the top of my go-to list.

First, if you are looking at this, then you should read all of it; you will find this very helpful. I needed a place to take my laptop, so I did some searching on the net. I took the time to read the reviews for each place I considered. The reviews for Dover Computer Repair (DCR), were very compelling for me to use them. As stated in at least one review, they were very helpful on the phone and in it of itself, I found them the go to repair shop. They know what they are talking about and they know just how to repair your computer the first time out. I took my 5 year old laptop to them to replace the display cable. As promised, they had the job done in a few hours. All of the DCR employees are very knowledgeable and I found that they also have integrity, people you can rely on and the best part is, you get more than you expect. When I took my laptop home and tried it for the first time after the repair, I discovered that not only did they repair it, but they made it look as good as new and work as good as new. I’m telling you my machine was so clean, I could have had dinner on it. The display was clean as a whistle, the keyboard has never looked this good expect for the day I bought it. My fans were all cleaned out and you can barely here them run. Yet my machine has been well used for 5 years and after service at DCR, like new, really!! Last thing you should know, they will not cheat you with an absurd price for the repair. If you are unsure as to if you can afford the work, talk to them, they can most times tell you upfront what it will cost. They are well worth your time to give them a call, you won’t be disappointed.
