I was so happy with my service at Gear Up Electronics. I had my computer serviced with them before and got a 60 day warranty. My computer ended up having problems 2 months after the warranty was expired and they were still willing to make repairs for free! I purchased a cheap used laptop from my work. Gear Up Electronics cleaned it up and put on freeware; this laptop is now wicked fast. They also checked the battery life and told me not to waste my $75 on buying a new battery. I appreciated them saving me money. :) This laptop is now a perfect, laptop for my kids. I also had Gear Up Electronics replace a screen on my Iphone. They have done an exceptional job making sure that the screen is perfect and working at 100%. We've had to go through a couple of bad screens but they have made it right every time. Very impressed with the customer service. I would definitely recommend them!

I had two laptops with severe internal problems from the manufacturers that were beyond what they can do at the shop, and they did NOT charge me anything while they took weeks to look into the root problems. Not impressed at all. Took a DJI phantom drone to Kirk and he said he could have it fixed within a “few” days. After 2 weeks I messaged him asking if it was fixed and he informed me he hadn’t worked on it yet but would get to it in the next day or two and call back. After one more week he never called, so I went to the store and picked up the still-broken drone he never worked on. Would not recommend

After breaking my screen on my iphone 6s I thought for sure it was done for. The phone was also having battery issues at the time it broke, after talking with Kirk he said he could definitely help me out. He ordered the parts and installed them for me in a timely manner and my phone is working like it is brand new! This is THE BEST place in Lincoln to get your phones fixed! Kirk is always honest, and prompt. He always tells you exactly how it will be, and if he has to order a part, he always gets you the best price. I have taken my daughter's phones there a multitude of times, and he was able to fix them PERFECTLY every time - that was after I doubted that they could come back from being so smashed up. I brought my iPhone to them to have the screen repaired. After about 3 days it was popping up and so I took it back in and they glued it back into place. Wasn't thrilled that my screen popped up so quick but whatever. Now 4 months later it is the same thing. I tried going back and was told I had to pay this time. Well that is was annoying, avoid this place!

They never pick up the phone, take 4 times longer than they say they will, can't fix the xbox anyway, and then lie to your face. How could they have "lost" my phone number when it is printed on the ticket and I've called 8 times in the past four weeks? I understand that some things just cannot be fixed, but it should not take a month to figure that out. If it takes 4 weeks when you request a quote how bloody long do actual repairs take? Just awful customer service, complete waste of time.

I recently had an issue with my iPhone 4S. I described what had happened and Gear Up said it would be 1 of 3 things. We first tried charging it up and my iPhone could not hold a charge. Gear Up switched out the battery with a new one and I patiently waited for the phone to charge. 10 minutes later the iPhone was still charging. Gear Up told me that instead of waiting I could just take the phone home with the new battery. I asked how much and they said if the battery charges up and the phone still doesn't work, bring it back in and we'll try something different. If the problem is the battery and it just needed a new one (to my surprise) they said go ahead and keep it and just write us a good review...and here I am today! Thanks so much for the great customer service and free battery

Well, the shop is a bit rough on the eyes. But I've had two systems repaired here, and both were fast, inexpensive, and kept me informed. The employee that worked on my ps3 took a look, called me when he had identified the problem, gave me a price quote, and had the system back to me in under a week. The same happened with my Xbox 360 when it got the red ring. I highly recommend this shop.

Wanted to add a hard drive. They somehow fried my existing hard drive, telling me they had to send it to the manufacturer. Once they got the hard drive back (supposedly) they lost it. Lost pictures, music, art. This took four months. Negative stars.

They've always done top notch work at a fair price. I've taken a few items there for unusual repairs. A PC that wouldn't boot, they found the videocard had fried, and replaced that. Another time they identified it as the power supply. Latest repair the power switch on my gaming console no longer worked, and they fixed it up good as new. The charge port was loose and it was replaced the same day and the second time was to reset my phone and replace the battery. I've also taken a few laptops there. They offer a 60 day warranty on their repairs, although I've never had to use that because the repairs are done right the first time. I brought a glass screen protector and they put that on for me for free! Very good communication! Explained every step to me so I understood. Completely satisfied as always! Went in to diagnose my overheating CPU (installed by another local repair shop while gear up was moving locations), the problem was immediately identified and fixed on the spot for me. Love this place we took my son's Playstation 4 to him on a Thursday and picked it up Tuesday my son's playstation would not turn on and was full of dust he cleaned it up re did the cooling system and fixed a few things on the motherboard that was burnt out saved me from having to purchase a new playstation 4. TLDR: if you need a phone screen replaced give Kirk a call. Gear up electronics is one of the best repair experiences I have ever had. I was told it would take ten minutes to replace my broken screen, it took maybe five and the cost was $20 under what other places were charging. Kirk is one of the most personable business men I have had the pleasure of working with.

Had blue screen issues and a possible hardware failure on my 4 year old laptop, they conducted a free estimate within a couple of days and promptly got back to me with their estimate. They have extremely competitive prices and I was pleased to have them working on my system. Turns out that the original problem wasn't the only cause to my issues and they didn't hesitate to troubleshoot further. After figuring out that my ram was the cause they replaced it with some they had on hand and let me use that until the new ram came in. Best place in town for computer repair, one and only place I will go from now on.
