Calvin is the best - he assisted me in replacing my daughter's beloved MacBook Pro and checked out one used computer (it was a mess) and then another - winner except for battery so another being sent and Calvin will check that too! He remembered my daughter needed a matte screen and analyzed her old omputer and the used one I purchased to make sure the new one was even better than the broken unit! I know nothing about Macs - luckily Calvin knows everything and if you have yet to stop in and speak to him about your Mac you owe it to yourself OR call him on the phone where he also can share his genius- he is a fabulous resource for Mac owners in NW MT!!! Thanks so much Calvin!

Got a diagnosis on my mac and was able to get the issues on it fixed or quoted.

Allied is by far the best Apple store in the area. Calvin really knows his trade and repairs/upgrades are always done quickly and the work is impeccable. I would HIGHLY recommend this business!

Calvin at Allied Computing goes above and beyond. He set up my older iMac for resale same day after I realized I couldn't do it myself because the appstore no longer carries High Sierra. When the new owner started getting a hold of me with complaints a few weeks later, I called Calvin. He kindly offered to get to the bottom of it. He quickly assessed that the issue was due to user error and validated that the iMac I'd sold had been mechanically and operationally sound the day he bought it.

This is the 2nd time I’ve been in here first was for my Mom’s iPhone and they worked on it for over an hour, no charge! Got it completely fixed and haven’t had any issues since. This time my personal iPad wouldn’t get off the update, would get a millimeter from being “done” and would just hang until the iPad died. They plugged it in, ran every test they could, then did their last one which is a last resort before you have to send it in, she did it...bam! Back on! No sending in and no charge again! I had my 1 ye old and am 35 weeks pregnant, I didn’t want to be long for my comfortability and keeping my 1 yr. old happy. They did awesome! Still had a happy kid, I’m happy. I’ll never take any of my things anywhere else!!

I don't know if they are competent or not, Devona told me on the phone that I could "walk-in", but when I did, the only employee in the store --Devona-- was trying to help a couple and another woman, while another gentleman (maybe another customer) sat against one wall using his computer. I stood awkwardly and uncomfortable in the center of the room for 15 minutes without any acknowledgement that I was there. No eye contact, no ""I'll be with you shortly", or, "Can you come back later, etc".... Absolutely NO greeting or glance or even a head nod. I decided that their customer service model apparently doesn't include common courtesy, so I'll try to get help another way. I can't say anything about their abilities or quality of repair, but blatantly ignoring a customer is enough for me to take my dollars elsewhere.

When I talked with Apple Care (official apple techs), they were professional and generally pleasant to work with. They directed me to an Apple store in a near by town (Missoula, MT) where I could have actual Apple techs inspect my issues. I found Allied Computing and saw that they were Apple certified and could fix my problem. I brought them my stuff (a mouse and a keyboard) and they told me they would contact me later that day. After over 2 weeks going by, I gave them a call and asked what the status was with my stuff and when or if I was going to get it soon. I was told I would get a call back within the hour. I never received a call that day. I called and got the answering machine so I left a message. Finally I received a call back from a very rude, mean tech at Allied Computing not only telling me the bad news that Apple care doesn't cover either the mouse or keyboard, but he accused me of beating my mouse and keyboard. He used a loud, accusing voice treating me like a child in trouble. "There... Are... Dents... On... The.. Mouse... Like... Someone... Beat it... On the desk!!". This was the first thing out of his mouth toward me after saying that Apple care isn't going to cover it when I questioned why it's not covered. Wow. So not only was I getting bad news that my stuff isn't covered by Apple Care, I also have this mean tech guy (who is one of the owners) accusing me with a raised voice of beating my equipment. That would make anyone upset. When I tried to let him know that I didn't beat on my mouse he got really mad and repeated again now yelling it over the top of me as I was talking. Naturally, I got really upset because I was now cut off from talking to have this guy yelling at me an accusation towards me. I told him I didn't appreciate him treating me like a child and he continued to yell at me then hung up. I called back to tell him I was getting my stuff back (me now with a firm tone) and again stating that it's uncalled for him to treat his customers that way. He hung up on me again. I was hung up on by him 3 times and once by a lady that works there (also an owner) accusing me now of being rude to them for telling him that he was rude. Ok, I could go on all day about this. I finally talked to him and told him that I wasn't mad that my stuff isn't covered by Apple Care, I was mad that I was treated the way they treated me. He didn't get it, he never will. Very bad experience at Allied Computing. I would not recommend them to anyone. Not that they can't fix stuff, but I don't trust them and they are mean to customers.

Calvin is a genius with Apple computers. The first time we took our computer to him, it was in pieces from another store and he fixed it in a day. The second time it turned out the problem was with our home Wifi and he figured that out too. Wouldn't go anywhere else!!

AMAZING work. On Tuesday night, my (aging, 2011) Macbook completely died, requiring a major ($600) hardware fix. It was a known issue that Apple had acknowledged and issued an extended warranty on...that expired two months ago. I took it in to Allied. After some testing, Calvin called me and advised me on how to pursue the warranty despite its recent expiration. I followed his advice and called Apple and described the problem. Apple made good on it and agreed to pay for the repair. They even overnighted the part. It's Friday and I'm now typing this review on my repaired, working-like-brand-new, Macbook. It cost me $0. Thanks Allied and thanks Apple!

Sometimes you have a customer relations experience that makes you feel like you are walking in some sort of dream. For some, that dream is a nightmare while others never want to awaken. The latter was the case for me this morning. I purchased a Macbook Pro 2017 computer this week. Last night, I noticed that bubbles had formed on the screen. Horrified, I contacted Apple Support. They connected me with Allied Computing as they are certified by Apple. I walked in around 10:00 and was greeted by Devonna. I showed her my laptop, explaining my issues. Instantly, she explained that there was simply a screen protector on my screen, causing the bubbling. She called for Calvin who peeled the screen protector away and restored my hope in Mac products. The fact that I was helped so quickly was lovely. But even more than that, they spend time giving me advice about how to protect my computer and which products they recommend and potential products to avoid. Later, Calvin even gave me an extension for my charger. Total cost to me? Free. #customerforlife

11/20/15 Brought in Apple Mac Mini, keyboard And mouse to be troubleshot because they were not being recognized by Mac Mini. No problem found. They walked me through troubleshooting what the problem might be at my house. The monitor was not allowing the keyboard or mouse to connect to the Mac Mini. Without Calvin's help I would have been banging my head against the wall for days. Excellent tech skills and customer service. Thanks Calvin

Calvin went above and beyond in getting my business computer fixed. I am a programmer and its very important to have my computer running and available to me. I dropped off my computer on Friday and somehow he had parts ordered, installed and had my computer fixed on Monday. Absolutely amazed with the new hardware installed and his level of expertise. Will definitely be using Allied Computing again in the future!

I am new to the area in the last year. Had a great apple guy in California but was not sure about here. Was referred to Allied by Apple technical support and have been overwhelmed in their kindness and expertise So glad I could find such knowledgeable and kind people

Kate Whipple-Kilmer

This place is AWESOME! They went above and beyond to help me out when my computer died and explained things clearly but never condescendingly to my un-tech-savy self. I live 2 hours outside of town and they worked with me to make things easy for me to drop off and get back my things!

You need look no further if you need to take your Mac, iMac, MacBook Air or other Mac for repair, cleansing, refurbishing or malware removal. Calvin is the best Mac technician I've ever come across. Knowledgeable, easy to deal with and reasonable fees. Why bother with the Geek Squad, etc when you have an authorized Mac dealer right in Kalispell. I'll be back when needed. He figured out every problem I was having on my iMac with a quick turnaround. He also had some good suggestions.

Vera Smith

If you need help with your Apple phone or Apple computer this authorized Apple dealer is where you should go. Calvin is brilliant, ethical and can fix it! Service provided by Calvin and Devonna is outstanding.

Sam Newton

I've had multiple computers have various issues. They're quick on the turnaround and will talk to you exactly about what the problem is. I appreciate their work. If you have an Apple product that needs service, take it there. They do charge $60 for a diagnostic if it's not under warranty, but I think you've got to pay people for their time, so I don't find that unreasonable.

Stefan Anderes

Calvin is great. I brought my MacBook Air in expecting bad news...had a water damage incident. Geek squad told me they couldn't do anything other than send it to Apple (4 weeks). Calvin found the problem, replaced the part, and got it back to me within 3 business days (most of the waiting was because of shipping time for the new part). And to top it off, all at a very reasonable price. I don't write reviews often but wanted to share my experience with Allied Computing.

Burket M. Kniveton

We rely on Allied Computing to keep our machines functioning at the highest level possible. Calvin has helped us design our network, design 'company best computing practices', fix hardware malfunctions, and he also advises our company when we run into issues with our computers. We are consistently impressed with Allied Computing.

Jamie Thomas

Did amazing job! They Explained everything to me and fix my phone right away! Thank you

Clinton Heath

Help as always.

Patricia Zanto

After waiting well over an hour at the Geek Squad desk, I was told there was nothing they could do and referred me to Allied Computing. What a refreshing experience! Calvin was quick to assess the problem with my MacBook Air. He ordered the parts and fixed my laptop promptly. Excellent service.

susan montana

They only work on Apple products. And, do a great job.
