This Computer Repair is included in the category of Electronics store.
The only bad part about this place is the cost- very expensive. I broke my computer screen and brought it in here to see how much a replacement was, and right away they said it would be a flat rate of $800. I paid it because I needed my computer, but brought it back a couple months later with an internal issue and again, $800 flat rate. The guys are super helpful and do everything they can to try and get to avoid these high fees, but in my case they could only help me with the second, which was still amazing. Great quality, great service, just prices through the roof.
My friend went to this store to buy a new computer since his old MacBook Air had a broken display. The employee that assisted him had difficulty getting his card to work and started scratching at the magnetic strip on the back of the card. I offered to use my card instead to pay for it since the employee started to rub the card on his jeans as well. We knew that only some stores in the US accept his card type and offered to use my card in case his did not work. However, the employee insisted on trying to get it to work. Today, I contacted the store to inform them that the employee ruined the magnetic strip on my friend's card and he is no longer able to get money from any atm. Since my friend is from a foreign country, he now has no support while he is here. The manager at this Apple location told me that the employee was only following company policy and that they have no way to compensate him for the trouble that the employee has put him in. Fortunately, he will be going home in a few weeks, but if he was going to be staying for longer, he would have extreme difficulties. This store should be held responsible for the damage and inconvenience that they have caused. Do not go to this store. It has a complete lack of courtesy towards its customers and its employees are only focused on up-selling to receive a better commission.
Very poor customer services would avoid going to that location...
Good size and layout. Everyone was kind and courteous, however wait times were longer than were needed.
Service was great! Staff was "on top of it."
Great salesman. Showed me options and educated me into getting an iMac.
Service can be either very quick or LONG ! Unbelievable! These folks at this store aren't my frustration but rather the service. I came here on a Monday to get AppleCare and it literally took me 2 minutes. It was so swift and hassle-free that I went home to advertise this store to family and friends of how swiftly they maneuvered. THE NEXT DAY, I come with my brother who owned a iPhone 6 PLUS which was malfunctioning internally (touch wasn't as responsive and freezing). Upon arriving I'm told the wait time is 75 minutes - I arrived at 10:45 AM & the store opens 10 ..how can their be such a long wait time already? So then we come back at 12:40 upon receiving a text that we were up next. We then return and wait another freaking hour before even having a worker come over (who called someone else to "fix" issue). Long story short, we left the store at 2:30 pm (approximately 4 hours) and didn't have anything fixed. I'm never coming to this store.
The store is fine but watch out - parking is hard!! There’s only street parking and a spot is hard to come by. The service was fine but I’m usually extremely impressed with how friendly and knowledgeable Apple employees are - I wasn’t quite as blown away here.
The wait was way too long and I will never go there again
We were seated for over an hour before we were taken care of. Mind you, I had an appointment. Seen others who checked in way after I did serviced. That really blew me. It was literally 5 mins to go over the repair issue. And I was out. Every apple store is like this. Customer service is not their niche, I guess.
If you’re Latin or any other race, the people in front (who are only playing games and comparing their apps) won’t treat you as a customer, even when you want to spend thousands of dollars on it... to get out of the way, they send you to your carrier... I wanted to get an IPhone X and a Mac book... they sent my to my carrier... So. Ty... I won’t back here!
Racism at the Uptown Apple Store in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I brought my I phone 7 plus for repairs at the uptown Apple store, and was provided with a loaner phone, and was accused of bringing back a different phone during check out, and was very intimidated by the technician of fraud, and he apparently called his manager to deal with me, and the manager, quote/unquote accused me of the same, and indicated that I was unprofessional throughout the accusation, and later went back to review the security camera at the store, and figured out he was wrong with accusing me of tampering with the loaner phone, eventhough I was crying then of the humiliation he put me through. I am a honest hard working person, and I am also a black African American. and I never looked for any easy way out of my life. I will file a complaint with the State Commercial Department, and also forward my displeasure with the CEO of Apple, who apparently motivated a lot of the employees. Thanks
good service, but must make a schedule
Brought phone in for battery replacement, Apple tech BROKE MY PHONE !!!! Offered a new one, but so what, I lost all my pictures, and had to go drive to the Boost store to turn it on, couldn't activate it from Apple store, major headache. Apple did not offer any deal, or price adjustment, in fact, THEY STILL CHARGED ME FULL PRICE FOR THE BATTERY REPLACEMENT !! UNBELEIVABLE
Not impressed with the store. Was convinced to upgrade our I-cloud subscription so the phone could be backed up and sent in for repairs. Only after wasting time dealing with passwords and upgrading our service that we were told it would take hours in the store for the back up to complete (we didn't have hours to waste in the store). I asked about transferring the phone contents to the loaner phone but was told it would only be a 16GB and wouldn't have enough space. Also in order to have the loaner would we have to return to the store with it to receive the repaired phone and that this couldn't be done over the mail to our home which is 2.5 hrs from the store.
Called once got a quick response, then hung up with out asking if I needed anything else. Had to call back and the girl was also very short on time and didn't answer all my questions. I'm an hour away and not going to waste my time here. Trying a different location.
An absolute joke calling the store and trying to get to a live body. The world's worst automated attendant. 4 minutes 38 seconds to reach a live body only to be required to "schedule" time for a simple device replacement. Comcast almost looks like it is user friendly compared to Apple
They're not even trying to help you .
Cracked my phone, they thought I stole the phone and want me to bring the receipt which is at home. I had to pay park and def not worth it to back n fourth. ill take it to the ridge dale mall or Mall of America.
The service at this Apple Store has been the best I've experienced! Needed help with my iPhone freezing and Armon, the genius I worked with was very helpful and knowledgeable! I would highly recommend this store and the staff to anyone in the Uptown area if you need help with your apple products.
Had a great experience buying my phone here. I was not excited about the possible long wait but we were helped extremely fast and with very knowledgeable staff. They helped us return a phone and also set up two new ones and they were very fast and nice.
Good prompt service if you have an appointment. If you don’t, wait is not as bad as at other locations in the Twin Cities. Can be tricky to get here and find parking at rush hour. If you don’t like paying for parking, there is free street parking a couple blocks to the west.
This is one of my favorite Apple Store locations. It is not nearly as busy as other locations in the area, so it is much quicker to browse and/or get customer service. As with all Apple Stores, this place is clean and crisp making the experience simple and easy.
Apple is a RIP off on repairs. Go to any 3rd party repair shop for a significantly cheaper price.
The employees are really really good people
Marybeth was awesome! She was extremely helpful with my computer diagnostic and didn't try to sell me anything.
Very appreciative of the team here. I was seen right on time for my Genius appointment, and although they couldn't fix my laptop at this location they sent it out for repair immediately. It was back to me in 3 days and didn't cost me a penny under warranty. I also fully expected to lose all my data since I never backed up this laptop, but everything is still here! The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because parking is a nightmare.
I called ahead to schedule an appt for a screen replacement. When I arrived they were running very very behind. Although I just needed a screen replacement, i was informed that it would take them 3 hours. I was given the option to replace my phone which would take them less than an hour. I was happy to help clear up some time for them. Well in their trying to rush, they failed to double check that the iCloud back up and restore went properly BEFORE completely wiping my old phone. The back up and restore DID NOT go properly which is when we realized that we needed the old phone. In their haste, they ERASED 18 MONTHS OF PHOTOS!!! (2500+ photos) MY CHILD’S ENTIRE LIFE IS GONE!!!! He isn’t even 2 years old yet. Because they couldn’t take the extra few minutes to make sure everything was being done properly. And it gets worse! The employees! DONT EVER HELP THEM!! They stand around with their thumbs up their asses half the time anyway. Of the 20+ employees you see, half of them are bullshitting with EACH OTHER the entire time. Literally turning people away because they are “so behind” when they were standing around doing nothing. I watched customers sit and wait for help for OVER AN HOUR when employees could have been helping them but were too busy chatting about their personal lives with one another to notice. It wasn’t until the customers made them aware that they received assistance at all. Watching them and their disrespectful behavior made me sick. So big on political correctness, that you forget what basic human decency is..?? Their blatant lack of integrity for their job performance is disturbing. I will honestly refer anyone and everyone to any other store but this one. And I drove over FIVE HOURS one way to get to there!
It's an apple store. If you have been to one you have been to them all. Located in a nice area and staff were very friendly and helpful. I was there very early though so hard to say what it might be like when busy.
We had a quick question for Josh without an appointment. He was excellent. I can count on one finger the times in my life where service exceeded expectations. He delivered. Thank you for making my day
Very expensive and they make you come back almost after 45 minutes or more.... They don't negotiate nor give you discount. Whatever price the person who's helping you comes up with is the final price (period).
One of the store managers David and Sarah have provided some of the best customer service I've experienced in some time. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I left satisfied. I cannot have asked for a more understanding group of people. Next time you are in, please make sure you thank them for their service if you get the opportunity to work with either of them.
The knowledgeable people here make it easy to make a decision. Apple alwAys reliable. Great location.
Why do I have to wait 90 minutes to do a simple return? In the future buy a product from a company who values your time. They clearly don't here at Apple.
Very helpful. LOTS of staff. Parking can be difficult.
Wonderful service! All of the staff was extremely helpful in setting up my new phone and telling me about all the features.
Great customer service!
Came from St Cloud to get iPad screen replaced with AppleCare. They swapped it out for a new iPad (co-pay of $50 or so) and reserved a replacement screen for my laptop. I didn’t make it down that week, but came the next week. AppleCare on the phone said it might be $600+. A St Cloud independent computer repair place quoted $550. Apple Uptown said $475-ish. But when I came in, it turned out to be free because of a defect in the screen coating, which wasn’t even my main issue! Parking is actually fine, btw—very handy parking ramp by Calhoun Square!
Very helpful
Awesome
Kevin was amazing. He was super knowledgeable in helping us replace our IPad- which thankfully crapped out while we were still under Apple Cares warranty- and giving my son his own Apple ID (we had been sharing but now that he’s older it’s nice to have our own). Clean store, good A/C!
Calling the store, sends you into A.I. hell, but they could just staff enough, to have someone answer the phone it seems to me.
Great staff and great service they find what's right for you.
Consistently S L O W
They are really nice I can't remember the young lady name but she was tall with glasses she was nice she also swapped me out for some new head phones she was really patient with me because I didn't remember my password..
It gets so annoying when you walk in to any apple store and you meet someone who takes your name and tells you to go stand by a TV. I am watching 5 employees walk around not talking to anyone just staring at the "iPad" and I commented can't you just sell me some airpods since your standing here doing nothing with 4 other people doing nothing? He said no. Think of how much money this company could make if you allowed people to purchase items when you walked in the store? I was appalled as I have been in management for years and I would make sure any customer who wants to simply buy something was handled differently and serviced immediately. Especially with 5 employees doing nothing.
No joke, in and out in less than 2 minutes, the longest process was my card being accepted, thxs staff and thxs Pete for the quick work.
The store is nice and spacious and clean. When we're told that we had a 15 minute wait ended up being an hour is annoying.
I love the genius bar! They are so helpful and always there.
Low traffic store generally if you need something quick. Had to return a phone due to unsatisfactory performance and the manager was even unaware of the newly released phones specs
We went to the apple store because my phone wasn’t working from a recall, we had a appointment scheduled and we still had to wait 20 minutes even though we were on time. They “fixed the problem” but 5 minutes after leaving the place my phone stopped working. We went back in and they told us to buy a replacement phone for 400 dollars, the problem with the phone wasn’t even our fault. The man who helped us was pretty nice though
Simple check-in process and helpful staff (Thomas was awesome!). Parking nearby can be difficult or pricey, but that's typical of Uptown.
Knowledgeable associates and friendly customer service both can be seen in this apple store, I have had not so great experience with other apple stores in twin cities, no wonder this store has better ratings and reviews in google vs other apple stores. I went in to access my failed MBP and also to recover data out of it, both was performed quickly at no cost. Also I thought to make a new MBP purchase and associate pointed me to a computer which was 1000 less than what I thought to buy and gave me some ideas about setting up a 4k monitor etc... overall setup came much cheaper and highly recommend this store to anyone looking to buy new products or to get your existing products serviced.
Really helpful friendly staff
Great accommodating staff. Very friendly
There are a million reasons to hate it, a thousand to mistrust it, and dozens of conspiracy theories validated by Apple's retrograde strategy -- "No, actually... Clicks suck. Bricks are good for places where stuff is sold. Boo to Clicks!"
they just don't answer the freaking phone! it's amazing. the freaking answering machine puts you on wait listening bs music and you stay there until you're sick of it. i waited more than 10 minutes, then got sick of it and hang out. it's easier to drive 5 miles to this store than to make a call. unfortunately, for this store, phone clients or the use of a phone are a worthless cause.
Very friendly and pleasant environment
Staff is friendly, easy to find in uptown
Nice to have right up the street
Apple store customer experience, service and products have gone way downhill. They are no longer ahead of the competition and the Apple store experience has gotten exponentially worse, take a look at all of the twin city area Apple stores and look at their horrible reviews.
I like this apple store friendly staff. Kayle from the tech support was very helpful and give us great service. The only downside long waiting and terrible parking.
Horable customer service. My friend and I waited for assistance and kept getting told “someone will be rite with you” and “ what’s your name, let me check you in.” Meanwhile two employees stood there taking to each other, barely helping anyone. Then at one point 6 STAFF WERE STANDING AROUND TOGETHER NOT HELPING ANYONE. I left . I love apple procusts but not this store. They need to change/work on how they implement their customer service . Plus played for parking
In my opinion, this is the best store in Minnesota for new product releases. I came here the moment the iPhone X released and tested it and seen demos and this made my decision easy. I ordered my iPhone X from this same store and staff were helpful and cool store. Whether you are a Apple product lover or just want to try and see Apple products, this is the place. If you drive, parking is tough but you’ll find it around nearby neighborhoods, plus it’s located near best eats and bars so there’s no downfall to walking around uptown.
Good place with fast service.
They didn't have the battery I needed.
Great service, area is a bit nuts for parking, but that's not their fault.
Friendly staff and fast service
If you want normal wait times and proper support, don’t go to this apple retailer. I had to wait 45 minutes to pickup a phone i already bought. From what i could tell, there were roughly 13 employees that were literally doing nothing. Any one of them could have walked to the back, grabbed my devise, and brought over the tablet for me to sign. This wait time issue happened with my brother when he bought his tablet a few years back, and again when my dad bought his laptop. At this point the issues are too consistent to be considered a rare case. Maybe the fault is with them, maybe it’s with management not allowing a more robust team take care of waiting customers. Regardless, I will not be returning to this outlet again, and I advise you to do the same if you don’t have hours to spare.
Excellent help - easy to review the merchandise.
This is the only Apple Store I will go to. Everyone that works there is extremely friendly and helpful. I'm horrible at making appointments, so when I walk in, they really do their best to accommodate me.
Great service and truthfully honest workers.
Rude staff. Greedy corporate policies. Tech. refused to replace the battery in my iphone because the previous battery repair wasn’t Apple certified. Technician claimed that doing so would be a safety hazard for their techs. BUT they ALSO refused to sell me an Apple battery so that the issue could be fixed properly elsewhere. AND they also refused to replace the battery even if I had the third party battery removed first by another vendor. Their solution was to buy a new phone! Have been an iphone and macbook user for 8 years. No more, after this experience I’ll be switching to Android and pc. Will not miss the charging cables and power supplies that constantly break and have to be babied.
great employees
Had to make an appt last week for this week. Staff were courteous, knowledgeable and experts in customer service. Worth it!
I had missed my appointment and they still got me in within a timely manner. Worked with Garrett who represented the company very well and provided awesome customer service. I'm thoroughly impressed.
Went there today. Had a XR with a broken screen. They refused to fix it and only offered to replace it with a new refurbished one for $399. The tech would not even open it to check if he could fix it. So I went to world of wireless and they put a new screen in it for $150. It works perfect now! DON’T BRING YOUR REPAIRS TO THIS APPLE STORE! THEY WILL NOT REPAIR ANYTHING! THIS APPLE STORE IS COMPLETELY WORTHLESS FOR REPAIRS! THEY ARE TO LAZY TO REPAIR ANYTHING!
Great service and they also sell everything Apple.
I went to the store when my phone stopped working. There were some difficulties with my provider and getting the phone activated. After a couple hours and the store closing, I had to come back in the morning to try the process again. In general, not an ideal experience, but also no one's fault. The staff at this store was incredible! At one point the store was closed and there were 4 people trying to help fix the problem. They worked with my schedule and let me come in before the store opened the next morning. I'm terrible with names, but Meg, Brady and a blonde fellow were a pleasure to work with, as well as the store manager.
Simple, clean, and friendly, just like you would expect from any Apple Store. I recently went in for a battery replacement. They had my name on a list, took my phone for the replacement, and were done within the next few hours for me to pick it up.
Bought a pair of Air Pods on the premise that if they were lost or stolen I could track them down. They get stolen and Apple refuses to do anything even though they can see that the serial number that belongs to me is tied to someone else's phone and now I cannot track them.. excellent customer service. I've spent tens of thousands of dollars here and will never buy Apple again.
Date of visit: June 26, 2014 Took my nearly-new phone in because the headphone jack quit working. "Genius" claimed moisture sensor was tripped and it would be an out-of-warranty replacement. The reason this phone is new is because the dock connector on the LAST phone mysteriously had a moisture sensor tripped and I had to replace it. I got more irate than is my usual style because I go to ridiculous lengths to protect my phone from the elements and it's nearly impossible that this is water damage. Went back and spoke to the manger who's entire life is apparently controlled by moisture sensors. Took it to a third-party tech who found the piece of lint the Apple Genius missed. Apple used be famous for their service and support. This experience shows those days are over. At least in Minneapolis.
Looks cool
Nice and big store. Good staff.
Great service, my phone was totally messed up and they fixed good as new. All of the staff there are super helpful and nice. Overall great experience.
Usually I have a terrible experience going into Apple Stores. They have a lot of sales people and a few technicians. Wait time is usually at least 2 hours before they can see you and sometimes they can't help with the issue. This is experience was completely different. I still had to wait an hour, but wasn't an issue. Kinda expected at this point without an appointment scheduled online. My three issues were with my Macbook, iPhone, and Apple Watch. They replaced the Speaker and Battery in my iPhone. Replaced the Apple Watch Completely by sending it to my house and fixed the login issue on my computer. Everything was quickly resolved and I was extremely happy. I'll drive the extra distance to go this Apple Store even if parking is tricky, just for this customer service.
Apple seems to do everything possible to NOT get you a human on the phone. I understand technology, tech company, etc. but... Isn't apple's goal to make things easier? Spending 5 minutes going through prompts with a computer trying to have a conversation with you when you have a question that will take 10 seconds to answer is infuriating!!!
This Apple Store is in a convenient location, though you will need to put some extra thought into parking. There are on-street meters in front and paid lots nearby. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and numerous.
I’m waiting in the Apple store in Uptown in Minneapolis and I’m just wondering how they let their employees come to work in cut-off shorts, hair not combed or very unkempt?? I spend a lot of money on my Apple products and expect the employees to look professional and not like they just rolled out of bed and put on the first thing off the floor!! Very unprofessional!!! I know Apple has that bohemian, laid back kinda vibe but you people need a better dress code.....
Actually not the best service. I had a walk in and I was sitting for over an hour. I live in MYC and they are not even that bad!
Hilldale Madison - replaced battery. Next day I had display issues - they noticed the screen was not an apple repair. True I had a cracked screen - fixed about 6 months ago - no screen issues. The technician at Hilldale said I needed to pay the $149 for the display fix. Hennepin Minneapolis - same story ( we were visiting for the weekend ) - Manager did an override and fixed it. In fact, technician suggested a cheaper plastic film as it offered better protection than the more expensive one! Bottom line. Tech from Hilldale did not even talk with a Manager for an override - said NO. Hennepin talked with manager ( without me asking ) and had this fixed. This Apple location is worth 10 stars!
This is the absolute worst place in the metro to have (or even attempt to have) *anything* done: 1) There's no parking whatsoever. If you're not into walking many blocks, forget it. 2) Highest sales taxes due to in-Minneapolis (rather than suburb) location. 3) Worst automated telephone system on earth. You will wait FOREVER for a human, and it simply will not pick up. Do not buy from or even waste your time visiting this place.
Half of the staff is super friendly, one I asked about my place in line and rather than providing good customer service he was rude and dismissive. Luckily the tech people were awesome and friendly.
Fast Check in, Fixed like new, and covered it under warranty.
Probably pretty similar to every other Apple Store in the world. I think the service could be quicker when someone has a question about the computer. I also think that they should be able to hold a device rather than having to spend the time waiting to get it serviced. Other than that, they have a lot of beautiful, high end aluminum electronics that are priced accordingly.
Great place but its best if you make an appointment before going in for help.
My second experience with Uptown Apple store At 10;06 this morning I called to cancel my tech appointment at your store. They would not take a phone call saying I needed to do it online. A computer was unavailable to me at the time. I am not proficient to do that on my IPhone. Now I have a computer at my hands, 1 1/2 hour later and you need my ID to cancel my appt? Really! I had none. And I was registered under Caitlin for a 10:10 appointment. When they said they would get someone on the line to help me but first I needed to answer a few questions, that was all it took for me to hand up. Your store gets a minus 10 from me. Joan
The Apple geniuses here are amazing. They properly diagnosed a broken component in my Macbook which gave me the information I needed to purchase said part and fix myself. Thanks to them I have my trusty old Macbook back. Worth every penny.
I went there twice one employee said they can fix my phone another employee said it would take two and a half weeks confused
Worst place to go for service. I went there 3 times for the same phone issue and I didn’t get the help I wanted plus am driving from Saint Cloud and when I ask for the manager he didn’t want to resolve the problem and I use this phone for my work
Nice service. Cool stuff
Helpful staff but they did not have the item I wanted in stock.
Horrible customer service. I would never recommend this Apple store to anyone. Go to another one in Minneapolis or just another stare.
They NEVER answer their phone. Whenever I call I end up on hold forever until I give up. It's kind of ironic given that they have such a fancy automated answering service.
Good place, friendly and competent staff!
If you're looking to buy an iPhone this is a wonderful place to go they usually have all the iPhones you could ever imagine
Yeah Please, uptown girl me today & in the future. And, I recommend highly the Korean Michelin star yet to be awarded luncheon. Plan a meeting at the "Bonchon" Resturanteer; venture in for cuisine that dazzle and inspire your buds. Its Devine darling.
Well located apple store.
They give you a desk, time and help to transfer contents from your old phones to your newly purchased phones variety of colored cases for your phones available
I've been to this location several times and I have never had a negative experience. Despite the fact that it tends to be crazy busy at all times, all the representatives gave me excellent service. My laptop was stolen on Saturday night, was able to get a brand new one Sunday afternoon. By the end of the experience, didn't even feel bad about losing my laptop anymore. Several staff members helped me; one even talked to my dad over the phone to get the order straightened out. All Apple stores are fantastic, but this one especially!
helpful staff
I am so happy there is a place that will help you with your phone or computer and do it with a smile and understanding.
We were having problems with texting (just between two phones). The apple tech was great. Really helpful working with my mother (81). She (tech). Listened and worked with mother and got it all working great. Thank you
Daniel at the Genius Bar saved my last 2 years worth of pictures AND my phone. Give that guy a medal! First time I’ve actually had a great experience at the Genius Bar.
Was lied to when sold a product about AppleCare. When asked for resolution on the matter the current manager at the time, Amy Sullivan, was extremely aloof and offered ZERO compassion or possible solutions. When I asked for her manager she so ARROGANTLY REFUSED to even give her supervisors name. Unbelievable her lack of customer service skills. One would think a company like Apple would take the time to train management. As a customer service business owner I am speechless at how Amy Sullivan handled this.
Apple refused to replace my battery because my screen was replaced elsewhere. There is nothing wrong with my phone. It just had a worn out battery. I’m paying you to fix it. Do you Job. Apple’s customer service rips you off every way they can.
Dude is funny talking about apple isnt responsible when you got manufacturer defects on there products.... bruh ya apple, who am i suppose to go talk to Samsung.... about my ipad....stop talking you sound dumb.
This is a very well-run and well-staffed store -- the best Apple store in Twin Cities area, in my opinion. Be prepared to walk a few blocks if you want free parking.
I left this comment in my post-visit survey, and I thought it would be good to share it here as well. I was told originally that the screen and battery replacement/repair for my phone would take about 2 hours, but due to unforeseen circumstances the repair took much longer than expected. I understand that things come up, but I wasn’t exactly pleased with the way that it was handled. After two hours, I returned to the location to ask for an update on the repair, only to be told that the repair would be another 30-45 minutes. Considering this was a relatively small amount of time, I decided to renew parking near this Apple location and just wait on site. After 45 minutes had passed (total: 2h45m) I once again sought an update on the repair, only to be told it would be another 15 to 20 minutes. Again, I waited in-store. 20 minutes passed (total: 3h5m) and I was told by another Apple team member that the repair was still not finished and I would have to wait again (this time there was no time estimate). Finally, after another 30 minutes (total: 3h35m) I sought help from a different Apple team member, who was aware of the amount of time I had been waiting in-store, and they went in person to talk to the Genius Bar technicians and relayed to me the information that my phone was giving particular troubles and had failed the post-repair diagnostics twice. After all was said and done (waiting another short time before getting my phone back and paying the replacement fees) I had spent 4 hours inside the store and renewed my parking 3 times more than expected. Most Apple team members I interacted with were very kind and understanding, but I still felt that the lack of communication from repair technicians to front of house (and transitively customers) was a bit of a burden and my time would have been better spent elsewhere. Aside from the exorbitant repair prices and the inconvenience, I’m just glad I didn’t have much else to do on that day and my phone is fixed now. I guess that’s all I can expect.
I was helped at the genius bar within 15 minutes of my appointment time. They helped me figure out the issue and got me free service because of a manufacturer recall. Service was complete in about a week. Can't ask for much better service than that when trying to solve computer issues.
Apple stores are great, maybe hit this one at a bad time. Went in to buy an iPad. Stood around the ipads for about 20 minutes, was never approached by a staff member. Saw lots of people come in and get helped after me. I could get anyone's attention so I left. Will try again some other time.
Wanted screen repair. Was put in queue and told to come back. Arrived when I was texted and was told to wait for next technician. After 30 additional minutes, I asked for a status and was told several people still ahead of me and I’ll have to wait an additional 35-40 minutes. Horrible queue management. Terrible communication and expectations setting.
It wastes my time! Even there’s lots of employees standing around and I had to wait a hour to get my phone fix!
Very good service and same days work done
Not sure why there's so many horrible reviews for this store, compared to the Ridgedale Apple this location is really nice & the staff is much better. I didn't catch her name but I had a super helpful girl with pinkish/purple hair who went above and beyond for me. I had a really great experience buying from this store!
I had a great experience bringing my mom's Mac in here for repair. Don't be late for the Genius bar!
Went in as a walk in for a battery replacement only had to wait for 15 minutes and really friendly people working there
Came in to browse, not even planning on buying anything, and the staff were still very friendly. Noted an interest on one of the 5S leather cases, and the staff member went in back and grabbed one to let me see how I liked it - never got that at any other store, even another Apple Store. Overall great service and experience.
They are nice people, but they need to hire bilingual people to assist those of other races
I expected so much more. Went in with an issue with my brand new iPhone Xs and after waiting for 45min and explaining it several times to the gal she still was dead set on Exactly what I didn't want. She was not as experienced as I had hopped for or there is a major Training issue there. Maybe both could be the problem but I do know I will never go back to that store.
Awesome customer service!
Well organized
My phone wasn't charging, and after doing some careful preliminary cleaning, I decided to bring it into the store. The guy who helped me was rude and treated me like I was completely incompetent. When asked, I told him I had tried cleaning out the charging port. He proceeded to roughly dig out a small bit of dust that had accumulated inside after slightly scolding me for my cleaning methods. To be honest, I didn't want to do any damage to the pins inside the charging port, so I figured bringing it to the store would be a good idea. Fortunately, I left with a phone that charges; but unfortunately, I also left with poor customer service from an employee with a poor, slightly aggressive attitude.
Never waited so long in my life in a damn near empty store. There check in process is terrible waited a whole hour before I got helped. When they finally came over to ask and looked up my name they told me someone checked me as not there? Y’all gotta do better
Super busy. As all Apple stores are on weekends.
Uptown store doesn't place to business, and I'll never purchase Apple products that will be a final decision. Apple does not have value for the customer but cares sale products and profit.
We went in with a locked iPhone, the person assisting spent a good amount of time with us. Ensuring we figured out where data was backed up and explained everything.
Great!
It's an Apple store. If you drink the Apple Kool-Aid you will be in Nirvana. If you are a do-it-yourselfer it can be incredibly frustrating.
So lucky to have an Apple Store right in my neighborhood! The genius bar folks are always helpful. Fixed several of my tech problems quickly and for no charge. Considering how much I spend on Apple stuff, that's nice.
Had a lovely expirence! Came in looking at new computers cause mine is moving at the speed of a turtle stuck in the mud! She had a rough life... Meg the young, bright, energetic customer support specialist helped me. She explained to me what all the bells and whistles meant! Learning that the ram isn’t an mountain goat that is living in my laptop was a plus! The store was clean, well maintained and the employees all seemed to be either engaging with customers or anticipating the next costumer to walk through the doors to greet. There was also good music playing... always a plus! Thanks Apple.
Set an appointment with the Genius Bar & had wonderful help. I was patient & flexible and ended up talking to a couple different geniuses. We got my issues figured out & I was very happy to have their help. Thanks!
An elegant hipster luxury technology spot for those with a grand to drop.
Fast customer service
When I entered the Apple store I was immediately greeted and they told me where to go to pick my phone up. Someone was with me in no time and it was fun to play with the iPhone and macs on display. When I got my phone they were so helpful with helping set it up. I honestly love this Apple store because parking is great and you don’t have to walk thru a whole mall to get to it. This is an Apple store everyone should go to!
Like any other Apple store it seems to always be busy and you always have waiting times. Why an Apple store is never staffed to where you don’t have to wait at least 30 minutes for repair evaluations is beyond me. After they evaluate the device you will usually have a wait or at least another 2-3 hours. What’s the point of making an appointment? For sales, the wait is not too bad but for repairs it’s inexplicably long just for them to look at it.
Good service and fast turnaround on my MacBook repairs
I went in today for a charging & voicemail issue with my iPhone. They were swamped, but James took careful, considerate care of us. He listened to the issue and even went as far as to talk to the Verizon rep who ended up fixing the issue. It took over an hour to figure out and he was great the whole time. He was also great with my pronouns. Also dog-friendly store! We saw two bulldogs meet.
Although my problem couldn't be fixed by the staff, Laura and team helped so what they could to make my experience go as smoothly as possible. In the end, my computer needed to be sent in to the repair center, but I felt in capable and comfortable hands throughout the entire process.
I received superb service at the Genius Bar here. Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient.
Janna helped us out. She was very friendly but to the point. Good service overall.
I tried to get my phone fixed. We had an appointment and we scheduled it for 6:30. We were around 10 minutes late but the first employee I spoke to didn’t care. Then when I finally found the employee he was referring to, she said I was 15 minutes late and it got cancelled. Then she said they couldn’t and wouldn’t fix the phone anyway, because they had too many. But what confuses me is that whenever an appointment is made, they get the phone model and what’s wrong with it. Instead of calling us beforehand that they were full, they wasted our time. The employee who didn’t honor our appointment at all also had a terrible attitude and would not help help us at all. Terrible customer service.
I’m lucky I can bike to uptown and a lot of places in it. I haven’t been back in a long time, but they were really nice in replacing my phone back in December 2017.
No handicapped parking how can they do this????
I pay premium prices for Apple products because they offer premium service. I needed to prep my old laptop for sale, and they installed the OS for me, repaired a broken key, were super nice, and charged me nothing.
These people are always super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. It's nice to play and tempt yourself with new technologies.
3 hr wait .... you decide how great that is?
Very friendly staff, parking not so great.
