A lot of guys standing around not doing a whole lot of anything. I walk in an hour before they close and the guy says on sorry we can't help you you have to come back tomorrow morning. Absolute worst service you could possibly ask for. The employees nick are terrible at his job and have no understanding how to help customers in a timely fashion. Will not be using apple products any longer due to the lack of understanding among employees at this location. Couldn't help me out in any way. Say goodbye to another customer. I had a issue with the Face ID but he said your back screen is crack we have to send in to our warehouse but after they hold my phone 4 days someone from apple call me and told me I have pay $500 ... which I didn’t have any issue with my crack screen except Face ID

I scheduled an appointment for a battery replacement for my iPhone 6 on the Apple website. My appointment was scheduled a WEEK in advance. I show up for my battery replacement and was told the battery would need to be ordered, and wouldn’t arrive for 3-5 WEEKS! Why schedule an appointment and then be forced to come back?? Why couldn’t Apple explain this online when I scheduled the appointment? What a complete waste of time and gas- ridiculous!

Not happy with this place. I would actually give it a negative one star. We had an appointment here and when we arrived on time we were told it would be a 10min wait which turned into we will get to you as soon as possible it make take an hour! As we decided to leave the person who does the appointments was not friendly and said well you mind as well reschedule at this point anyway and see what happens next time. Wow, no thanks we'll try elsewhere.

Really need to work on the customer service aspect. Their initial walk in system could use an overhaul as names get dropped , texts, emails never sent and really is especially bad if your phone is inoperable and you sit waiting.

I am very upset with the Apple Store in Ridgedale Mall. My brand new Iphone X had a crack on the back side of the phone. I have Apple Care. I walk into the store a week ago to make an Apple Care claim and replace my new phone. Despite my appointment the wait is over 1 hour. They inform me that there is an issue on their end and I need to return a few days later for Apple Care to fix the problem. I make an appointment for today. I wait over an hour again despite my appointment. I go in to swap out my phone and I am told I am sorry we need you to make another appointment because we are out of stock. Excuse Me! I have to drive an hour each time one way to get to the darn store. Then I have to wait another hour only to be denied twice for the service I am paying for and each time told to come back and waste more time out of my day. I feel there is no excuse. If I have a scheduled appointment and you are aware I am swapping out my phone should you not have one ordered and on hand ready for me. I am very uphappy with this store location. No other Apple Store has ever given me a run around in the past. I have been an apple customer for over 10 years. I want to rate this store very, very poorly. I do not appreciate being told, "Well if you don't like the service then you should not have dropped your phone." I am sorry I did not drop my phone. The phone vibrated and the vibration was so strong it vibrated off my end table and it hit the side of the bed and cracked. It was not dropped intentionally. They make me feel not valued, they make me feel that I did something intentional to make the phone crack. So now I need to wait more days with a phone that has sharp glass that is scrapping my hand for several more days. Not cool

I scheduled an appointment for a battery replacement for my iPhone 6 on the Apple website. My appointment was scheduled a WEEK in advance. I show up for my battery replacement and was told they didn’t have any batteries. Why schedule an appointment and not order a battery? Why couldn’t Apple explain this online when I scheduled the appointment? Complete waste of time and gas. They claim the battery is in now, I guess we’ll see.

Personally, I am not sure why this place has such terrible reviews. I went to have the battery replaced on my Iphone 6, and the service was simply amazing. I had to make an appointment of course in order to have the battery replaced, but a lot of places are that way too, so that is certainly not a reason to not go there. The staff was great, and they were not pushy at all. This place lived up to Apples reputation for having friendly and helpful service. I will most certainly go back when it is time for a new phone or computer.

Won't buy anymore Apple products until quality controls improves! I love Apple don't get me wrong, but have an iphoneX, replaced the screen at $290, and now my face ID stopped. The store said, it's 3 months out of warranty so I would have to pay an extra $290. I told the manager why would I invest more money in something they don't make. He offered to sell me a new phone at a higher price, I walked out. Again, I like apple, but the quality has gone to shit. Buyer be ware!

Bought an electronic toy ($100) for my nephew, and was told I would be emailed a receipt in lieu of paper. I never received it, and the toy needed to be returned. Wouldn't give a refund but did exchange the toy.

The Apple Store location in Ridgedale was amazing. Bill was a phone saver and kept me from leaving Apple entirely. After trying multiple avenues to repair/replace my phone, he was able to get me a replacement phone for absolutely free. Props to Bill. Other than the dude up front and his shorts being way too short, it was a great expierience.

Unknowledgeable and pretentious staff with a constant wait time even when you make an appointment. The were really helpful once (so the extra star) but it seems the exception and they were very aware they were actually doing me a favor. I would say this is Apple at its worst but it seems more like par for the course now.

Terrible customer service. Condescending snobs were not going to cover warranty work because Apple Watch had dirt in the slot where the band attaches to the watch. Not a lot of dirt just a small dot. He acted like it was covered in mud. Super rude! Actually wrote on my receipt three different lines about this dirt smudge. My husband finally demanded they cover the broken watch and after going in the back for thirty minutes they did. Avoid this location at all costs.

I can’t say enough positive things about my time in the Ridgedale Store yesterday. They struggled a little in repairing my phone (but were extremely informative and cordial. They ended up not even charging me because it took longer than it was supposed to. Highly recommend this store!

Came in with questions about the Apple watch and wasted 15 minutes of my time. Not once did a single store associate say anything to me, no greeting, no checking in with me, nothing. I even made it a point to make eye contact with 5 different associates who were not with other customers and still nothing. Thanks for nothing.

It started off well but then... I went in to get audio issues fixed on my iPhone. The first person I talked to got me into the queue and said it would be a 45-minute wait. I would get a text message when they're ready for me. He confirmed the wait-time by showing it to me on his device -- it said 45 to 55 minutes. He was helpful and nice. I come back exactly 45 minutes after I was put in the queue even though I didn't get a text yet, just so I don't risk missing my appointment. The intake person at the door looked me up in their system. She said I need to wait 45 minutes. I told her I've already waited 45 minutes -- I was confused. She said she doesn't see anything in their system about my waiting time from before except now it's a 45-minute wait. She checked the time I was put into the queue (45 minutes ago) and said all she can tell me is that I have to wait 45 more minutes. It just felt really weird because she was dismissing and ignoring everything else that had already happened beforehand. I asked a couple more questions. Turns out they had the service I needed wrong, so she changed it to "audio issues" but that's all she did. She said things like "If others don't show up for their appointment, you might get to see a technician sooner. Appointment times fluctuate a bit...10-15 minutes. You'll just have to wait." I reminded her that I'm on time for my appointment (why is it that others have to miss their appointments for me to see someone for my scheduled appointment?). I also mentioned 45 minutes is different from 10-15 minutes. She just kept saying she doesn't see any info about me waiting 45 minutes to begin with when I was placed in the queue. I came back a few minutes later and asked her if it's guaranteed I'll get help if I wait another 45 minutes (since it didn't work the first time). She eventually said it's not guaranteed unless we schedule ahead of time. I asked what that meant and how I could schedule ahead of time (isn't that what I just did 45 minutes ago?). She said she can schedule me right then for tomorrow. What a game...I don't think so. I ended up saying no thanks and decided to leave. It seems like they messed up and didn't want to do anything about it. Or, they just have a terrible system. I'd understand if I need to wait another 10-15 more minutes or if they were pretty busy, but that experience was so confusing and frustrating. We've gone to this store a couple of times in the last few months to get help but never ended up staying because they were booked or it would take 2-4 hours. I was hoping that this time when I can wait, it'd be worth it. Not returning to that store of course. That was messed up.

Was told I would be out of there in 15 min. 30 min later I left never having been helped- I was told that someone must have been looking for me and not found me and deleted my name from the list. I was standing in the same place the entire time. So I asked to be readded to the list. 10 min later I asked how much longer and the same person said he had not added me! What? The store was basically empty btw.

Truly disappointing service and a poor reflection on Apple. I bought an Apple Watch for the first time and picked it up last night shortly before closing time. Not a lot of traffic and yet the person that was initially helping me seemed not very knowledgeable and eventually wondered off. In a store full of personnel with no customers and not occupied with other duties such as tidying up, I could barely get anyone’s attention to assist me. As a loyal and devout Apple customer for the last decade, if I ever purchase another Apple product it will not be at this location. Cannot overemphasize just how DISAPPOINTING it is to see the level of customer service at such an abismal low.

I have only had good experiences at this location. I am a Mac user in part because of the service and the ability to receive technical and hardware support in person. Like all Apple stores, it is always busy and there is generally a wait. Go into the store expecting this and you will be pleased with the results.

Apple has decided to "kill" my iPhone in the hopes that I will buy a new iPhone. I pay the extra money for Apple products because of longevity. Because they need to drive up their stock price they "kill" old phones and idiots go buy new ones?! This business model is not sustainable and I would seriously reconsider buying Apple stock because of if. Had good service at this Store several times over the years, Not so Tonite! I asked for help with Facebook., "We can't help you, even though I'm familiar with Facebook" "since it's not an Apple program. " "You'll have to go elsewhere" Amazing response! This representative graduated from the Anti Customer Service School, did a good job of explaining "our rules" !!!!! So where should we go if Apple reps don't want to assist their customers any longer? Best Buy? Verizon?

I came in to get a cracked screen replaced. Had an appointment but still ended up waiting for 20 minutes. The rep claimed that I didn't have Apple Care on my phone, which I added through my phone provider and had e-mail proof. He brought over a manager, who claimed the same thing. They were not willing to work with me whatsoever, no were they nice and helpful. They tried to convince me that I was in the wrong and should be paying the full price for a screen replacement. I went to t-mobile afterwards and received a note that I have indeed have Apple Care, but will try a different store for the screen replacement, as this store was very difficult to deal with.

I called Apple support asking about my battery replacement options for 2 phones. They told me I could schedule an appointment for later in the week or walk in and and risk waiting. I had to go on the weekend because I work and live far away from the store. The man checking me in said they could replace both batteries but it would be a 3 hour wait. It was a brief conversation with a man who lacked customer service skills. I came back when I was texted at sat waiting for a service person. This guy was nice, but he told me they couldn’t replace my batteries because so many people procrastinated until the end of the year and they were backlogged with customers. I told him that I was told it could be done today. He went and got the manager. She came over and told me that I was no more important than any other person waiting in line that had already scheduled an appointment to get batteries replaced. She was rude. I reminded her that I had scheduled appointment 3 1/2 hours ago and was told by her employees that my batteries would be replaced that day. She apologized and said I could get them done if I waited another 3-4 hours. Nope! I have to drop the phones off again, and they won’t guarantee how long it will take to replace the batteries. I was told 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending how busy they are. But, they wouldn’t schedule an appointment time for the work to be done. So very frustrating! Why are they taking walk in appointments if they really can’t help those customers? There were so many things wrong with the procedures in place at this store. I wish I didn’t have to go back.

Few days back one of my friend walked in and changed the lightning cable. I was with her when she swap the cable. However, i bought my phone less than a year and i got here on the next week with my lightning cable which had a year of warranty and it was malfunctioning. One of the staff said its not gonna happen and i have to buy a new cable. I asked for the manager and he claimed himself as the manager. Their customer service is really really bad. I explain the situation saying i was there when my friend swap her cable and i also mention, not all their staff are well trained as they didn’t maintain the same rules. I would recommend “DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE” .

Shop here at the Apple store for your new electronics needs. Apple is like Best Buy or Walmart, just they only use apple products & accessories there. Full price no discounts, however! A used electronics place could be cheaper. New iPhone X purchased at a cost of about a thousand dollars. Nothing is cheap - UGH! Midsized warehouse worker so it is an affordable “fun” thing. Mormon church recruiter is panicky again & needs me to say something in social media about it

Not sure why this store has such low ratings as I had a excellent experience. I mean you do have to remember that people rate places based on the individual day and/or person. My experience was when I bought my 2017 MacBook Pro and I picked it up in this store and the staff were helpful even though they were under stress with tons of people there for new Apple products. They have me advice on products and accessories with no pressure or selling tactics. Overall I have to rate it 5 stars and recommend this Apple store for anyone.

Visited this store on 11/15/15 for warranty screen replacement on my iPhone 6, had to set up an appointment 3 days prior. Once at the store customer service was great. Warranty issue was completed on time. A better customer experience than I was expecting.

Bought a pair of Air Pods on the premise that if they were lost or stolen I could track them down. They get stolen and Apple refuses to do anything even though they can see that the serial number that belongs to me is tied to someone else's phone and now I cannot track them.. excellent customer service. When you call, a friendly machine man tries to "listen" to you and forward your call to "a specialist" when suddenly "Due to expected high volume, your call could not be connected. thank you for your patience. I don’t know why this place has such a poor review. I went there to replace my battery on my iPhone 7 and after they did the service, I found out that Touch ID isn’t working. So I went back the next day and they replaced the display for free of cost- no question asked. As an electrical engineer myself, I know that hardware can go wrong while working on it and I love it when people take responsibilities for their own actions. I would have to say they were very courteous, apologetic and professional. My wife also had her shattered screen replaced and a battery replaced on two separate occasions and the service was impeccable on both occasions. I think they deserve a lot of credit for their behavior, professionalism and owning up to their mistakes. I appreciate Rodd’s help during my last visit. I would have given them more than 5 stars if I could.

No charges... just so happens I was also in the market for new phones and after this experience I ordered 2 new iPhone Xr's.

Made an appointment with the Genius Bar using the Apple Store app. I arrived for my appointment and was assisted right on time by staff. They quickly assessed my phone, which had a shattered screen, and repair was finished in an hour. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

This is possibly the worst Apple Store in Minnesota. Do not bother doing a walk-in or appointment here - both will take more than an hour to two just to speak with a "specialist". You will have to wait until closing to pickup any repairs. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

I had a 1:50 appointment with a genius so I showed up 10 minutes early just in case. When I walked into the store an older gentleman who worked there very politely greeted me right away. He told me to go check in with another lady who was talking to someone else, but very quickly and nicely checked me in and directed me where to go. I waiting only a couple minutes before I met with a genius. He was very helpful, polite, and comical making it a very pleasant experience. I got two problems with my iPod solved in about 10 minutes making my experience there very positive. I have absolutely no complaints. Thanks Apple!!!

Upgraded my phone here and backed up all my information through iCloud. Before I could verify all my photos went to my new phone the employee helping me reset my old phone deleting everything. They should be held accountable but instead they simply said sometimes that happens. So if you upgrade your phone here double check and make the employee wait an hour if you have to, to make sure all your information and photos are on your new phone.

First of all, I made an appointment in order to fix my phone. The guy who was supposed to fix it did not say his name or did not have any other identification on him. It took him about an hour to run diagnostics, which to me sounds a bit long. Anyways, my speaker had distorted sound coming from it, I bought this phone less than a year ago, did not have any visible cracks or damage. I noticed the problem about a week ago and brought my phone almost right away. I also did not have any water in it. But the guy refused to fix my phone under the warranty because of a little split off piece of glass on the right upper corner of my phone. I dropped my phone MONTHS ago and didnt have any problems. I do not see any connections with my distorted speaker. Also they guy made me pay a dollar (WOW a whole dollar, I know) for the icloud so I could do a back up, which I did not need. This is very unprofessional. At the end, after I said that I'm leaving because I do not want to pay 170 bucks, the guy LAUGHED at me. Very disappointed, had way more expectations from apple. Also the technician was a total disaster. I also recommend you to provide your customers with at least some of official documentation after appointments that includes everything that was done to customer's devices. 1/5.

Too much waiting for a Mac book repair, came two days for an appointment. Do you think everybody should have two Macs? If a battery replacement need to be done, should we leave the job and wait for two hours? Knowing the trend and demand why don’t you add more technicians ? Obviously you are charging more than any other place, you could train and employ more people.

I had a hardware issue with my phone and they ran diagnostics and offered to replace the phone. I wasn't expecting that and appreciated the fact they replaced it! the person helping me was professional and helpful. Since I had to give away my old phone the screen protector from non-apple brand had to be taken off. I am one of those persons who does not like a phone without screen protector and since I was travelling for next few weeks and was on a time crunch and with no time to get a warranty replacement for my screen protector in 2 days that I had to travel, I requested the person helping me to replace the screen protector as well as It was not my fault that the device was faulty. The guy calls his manager who was absolutely outright rude. I had also bought another iphone while getting this one replaced in that hour...which means I spent atleast $2200 on the phones at this store and here he was rude about giving me a $20 screen protector. I have never felt so devalued or demoralized the way this manager made me feel. He was very blunt and in my face saying no...I was polite and said tried to explain the situation...but no this guy was rude! I walked out of the store questioning does Apple really value its customer...why was I made feel as if they were doing a favor? and for what a $20 screen protector? Never wrote a review, but I felt I had to for this one. I empathize with the other reviewers and agree with them!

I bought a phone online with in-store pick-up. They got me the phone quickly after I arrived. He asked if I needed any help getting it setup and I said yes. While I had owned another iPhone, I had never set one up and told him that I had specifically selected to purchase there for the assistance. He stayed with me for a few minutes and then said that I would be fine and he was going to leave me. He asked if I wanted him to check back and I said yes and that I would like him to check my old phone for a battery replacement. He said he would come back, but never did. I ended up having to ask a question of another employee while she was helping another customer. Her response was that she didn't know if an SD card was installed and then handed me her key to look for myself. I told her that someone was supposed to come back and help me but he seemed to be avoiding me. She didn't comment or offer to get someone else to help me. It seemed that if you over the age of 70 they assumed they needed to actually go over things with you...but I didn't qualify for assistance even though I had just spent hundreds of $$$ with them.

The worst experience I have ever had at an apple store. I went to buy a new phone and a watch and I was helped really fast but was there for 2 hours and left with my phone not working. I have Boost Mobile and the 3 staff that helped me had no idea how to active my phone with a new sim. I then went to the boost Mobile store and the guy there said oh “they just didn’t switch your number over to this phone and then they should have activated the SIM card” WTF. Apple store that your job learn how to do it ...! I will never go back to this store again. I have had Boost mobile as long as I can remember and In the past when I get new phones I have always gotten them from Southdale apple store and have NEVER had this problem there. Pleae learn how to do your job the right way and get some other people in there then young guys.

When trying to call a local store directly, it doesn't work and the call gets retouted to apple care and they really want to have your full name and email and record everything. Seriously? I just want to know if they could replace the battery of an old ipod, rather invasive, and the wait is too long 1:30pm on a weekday.

My battery replacement appointment went fairly well (despite a longer wait than anticipated, while even having scheduled the appointment a week in advance), with one large caveat: when I got my phone back, I noticed later that night that there was a large crack in the screen! I know for certain this crack was not there before I brought it in. Even so, in the description email that was sent to me shortly after I dropped it off, said in the screen status section: "No physical damage." THANKFULLY, it was only the screen protector itself that was damaged, and I had another one on standby that I replaced it with. So this means that someone dropped the phone while it was in their care, and might have hoped I would never notice? Just be warned: if you bring a device for them to service, you may not get it back in better condition than you brought it in with.

Brought my iPhone to the Apple Store to get the battery replaced. They stated the phone had water damage. And wouldn’t work on it. They would trade it in for a new phone for $300. I brought the phone to CPR cell phone repair across the street and they repaired the phone by replacing the battery for $59. Phone works perfectly! Apple store liars! Additionally, the water damage strips inside the phone showed no indication of water damage.

After taking quite a few trips to the Apple Ridgedale store, I can solidly say it’s a great place to go for an Apple need. I had a unique situation with my computer that they eventually resolved generously. Great customer service. I also came in recently with my new Apple computer, and though I didn’t have an appointment, they took time to work on the issue with me within 10 minutes of arriving. The problem ended up being something my 3rd party device, but they were generous with their time and resources despite that. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name that helped me, but thank you sir! And thank you Apple Ridgedale!

I would not be coming back to this Apple Store. Bad services let me tell you. My brother needed help with his Iphone 8 that he just got in May. His phone had something wrong with the charging pins and all they said was he would need to pay a fee of 386 or somthing around there for a replacements because apple care didn't cover that. We decide leave and go to the location they have at Calhoun. Let me say way better service and my brother left the store with a replacement Iphone 8 without paying a fee.

Went in with a friend to upgrade his ipad to a newer model. We had someone with us for a long time walking us through backing up and transferring over to his new ipad. We also scooped a 55 dollar giftcard for trading in the ancient ipad mini he had. Clay helped us out and we were happy with what we got. I've not been anything more than a casual shopper in a real apple store, It was nice to see the whole process and it went very good.

I went here to get some replacement nibs for my Apple pencil. They told me I needed to wait for an associate because it was "in the back", which would be 20 minutes. When I came back I had to wait another 10 minutes. Once I fannaly spoke with someone they told me I needed the pencil to get the code to get the right one- I was then told by the guys who brought them to me the pencil nibs are universal. - That means I waited 30 minutes to have someone bring me a 4 pack of nibs. Dumb, would not recommend. Buy online, don't waste your time.

Horrible customer service! My son shattered the screen on his iPhone 6S plus. I called four days ago to schedule an appointment with their Genius Bar to have this repaired. That required a 20 minute phone call. You can't contact the store directly. I ended up talking with a person from Austin, TX. Within 2 minutes of our connection, we were disconnected. He called back 15 minutes later. We showed up at the store for our scheduled appointment (an hour round-trip drive for us). We checked in, only to be told that they didn't have the screen needed in stock to replace my son's screen. Are you kidding me?! How does a store schedule repairs days in advance only to have customers show up and not have the parts on hand to handle said repairs? Guy helping us only shrugged his shoulders. Said he could call another store to see if they had the part in stock. Why would I trust that I would then schedule an appointment with that Apple store, only to show up to find out they are out of stock as well? Gladly went to Batteries Plus to have the same repairs done on the spot for $100 more.

Horrible repair service. They wouldn't listen to what the problem was, had the computer for 5 days, didn't fix it, but I still got charged. I asked them if they actually turned it on and tried to operate it past their "diagnostic test" multiple times. They had not. Lame chop shop.
