Staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and thoroughly professional. I'll happily recommend this place to anyone who asks.

We switched over to Computer Rescue 911 just over a year ago. They installed a new server at our office and have been our I.T. company since. They were less expensive and more thorough than the other quotes that we had received. As far as day to day operations they have done everything that they have said they would and are prompt with their responses. Our rep, Rob, is always cheerful and pleasant to work with...even when we aren't the same.

Excellent service! Gary was able to help restore my mother-in-law's iphone. Fast and friendly service! Thank-you. Highly recommend them for any iphone or computer repair.

Isaiah Hageman

Great store, good selection of laptops most of the time.

Daniel Bolhouse

I've had my PC cleaned up two times by Computer Rescue 911 and both times they have done an excellent job in a timely manner while keeping my out of pocket costs down. Thanks and I will be back!!!

Steve Kotman

ABSOLUTELY TERRRRRRIBLE!!! DO NOT GO THERE. They are idiots. I brought in my computer that worked except for a BCD File error. I paid the $34.50 just for them to look at it, and they determined it would be $169 to reinstall Windows 7. That was too expensive for just a reinstall (someone is now quoting me at $60, another at $75), so I paid the $34.50 and took my computer back. Brought it home and it doesn't work to even boot up and show a screen. I can't even open my CD drive. When I told them this and brought it back in to complain, they said that is what happens sometimes. Sometimes stuff works, sometimes it doesn't, that it wasn't their fault. Just the worst customer service ever. I hope this review costs them in the log run. They need the BBB to knock on their door. EDIT: Yes, of course there is video footage of you opening the CD-Drive (to obtain my Windows 7 disc that was forgotten when it was worked on)....and then 5 seconds later it is you powering off the computer incorrectly. I was right there when all of this happened, because I wondered where my disc was. My computer was not treated properly. You have zero computer knowledge, and yet you own a computer store. Ridiculous.

The entire staff of Computer Rescue 911 were helpful every time I called or visited the office (and I called a lot with a lot of "stupid" questions). They ordered my new laptop (MacBook Pro) for me, even though they didn't get a commission for doing it, and spent a lot of time explaining the parts that were totally new to me. For someone who hadn't had a new Mac for 11 years, they were very helpful (and sympathetic) to my questions and concerns. They also have Rolling Stone mag in their waiting area so great reading material while you wait!

Jordan Barrett

OVERPRICED. I had a bbroken display on my laptop. They quoted me nearly $200 for a new screen and about $80/hr for labor. The laptop is only 8 months old and cost only $300. Anyways, I took 20 minutes and found a brand new screen online for $46, installed it myself, and it looks and works great. Save your money unless you're absolutely desperate or can't find a replacement part yourself

They did what they said they would but because we didn't pay extra to be put at the top of the list, we were left at the bottom. I didn't like feeling like if we didn't "pay more" they didn't have time for us. We waited days for our PC to come back when they said it would take one.

Computer Rescue 911 has always taken exceptional care of our business IT needs. We have had multiple instances where our server crashed and Computer Rescue came out immediately to get us back up and running. The quick response has saved us time and customers on more than one occasion. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and rates are fair.

Tracy Parsons

Computer Rescue 911 was a fantastic experience. Within a day, they were able to diagnose and repair my MacBook Pro. (My HD failed). The prices were very reasonable and the service/explanations were top notch. If you have an out-of-warranty Apple product in need of some help, this is THE place to go in Grand Rapids.

Called in and worked with a gal who scheduled an appointment with me. Had a technician out there 1 hour later and all was fixed and they explained everything in easy to understand language. Would highly recommend.

Dealt with Josh. He explained everything thoroughly and was lovely to work with. I would go back to these guys.

We have used them for many years for my small business. They are always very responsive, friendly and helpful. I recommend everyone to them, large or small.

They were extremely quick and accommodating when I dropped off my computer. They were able to remove a virus and get my computer up and running the same day. The price was right around what I expected. They walked me through what happened and what to look out for in the future. I would recommend them for any computer needs.

Excellent and fast repair to remove virus from my laptop. Smart people, friendly and the small cost is certainly worth it. I've also used their services to set up a new laptop while transferring from a desktop. Excellent also. Hope you don't need repairs but if you do, this is the place to to go.

They rescued me! I needed on site network help in Grand Rapids. I am 200 miles away. I could not make it to town for a week. I called Computer Rescue and they made an appointment for me on short notice. I appreciate the help, guys, you saved me.

Update: Shortly after I posted my original online review I was contacted by a store manager. I don’t write reviews often unless I feel very strongly affected one way or another so I greatly appreciated the prompt response. Kevin was very understanding of my unhappiness and I could tell he genuinely cared about finding a better resolution and improving my overall experience. While it’s nice to ultimately find a solution, what matters most to me is the effort put into resolving the issue and feeling like I was heard and cared about. It is hard to find businesses that value their customers in this way and so it is for that reason that I have decided to modify my original review. 1/5 Apple users, go elsewhere! The keyboard and trackpad stopped working on my MacBook Pro rendering my laptop completely useless so I was referred here by the Apple online support. I brought my computer in, paid the $50 fee so he could run diagnostics and when he didn’t find an issue with the software he said he would have to take a further look at it. I get an email the next day saying my computer was fixed and I had to pay another $50 to cover the cost of labor. That wouldn’t be a problem except two days later, the same issue occurred and I come to find out that the only thing they had done was restart my computer and the everything apparently “fixed itself.” The computer tech did no actual work on my computer besides running a basic diagnostic program and I was charged $100 for them to just restart a laptop. If you’re an Apple user, save yourself time and money and just go to the Apple store

David Morgan

I would give 6 stars out of 5 if I could. I stopped by with a broken key on my laptop keyboard, that my IT company at work couldn't fix without sending it away for 5 days to the manufacturer. These guys fixed it in literally 5 minutes and didn't charge me anything. Amazing. Kudos to Josh Wilford.

M Dornbush

Great advise, Excellent quality products at reasonable prices.

Super friendly, fast, courteous service! My laptop wouldn’t start up. I took it to Computer Rescue 911. They fixed it, installed a new hard drive all within about 48 hours. The price was extremely reasonable and the staff is very friendly. I will highly recommend Computer Rescue 911 to friends and family!

Every time I have needed help with my personal computer the people here have answered my questions both on the phone and in person with professionalism. I have used the service to "get to the front of the line" and the first time I got my computer back the same day. The second time I got it back the next day. (The quickness obviously depends on the service you need but I felt it was well worth the money both times.) I would highly recommend this place for anyone's personal computer needs.

Sandy Kowalczyk

Have been using them for many years and they are prompt and knowledgeable.

Sheena Olivia Nolin

I had an incredibly nice tech to talk with today but I just needed a new battery for my iphone 6. I was quoted at least $170 for parts and labor. I found this ridiculous for an older phone!! When I mentioned the Apple website only charged $79, I was told they would also charge upwards of $170 for labor as well. Doubting this, I left. If you have to get something minor done, like me, I would not recommend this place - way overpriced.

Timothy Mask

Took a laptop in which was not working. Diagnosed with a damaged hard drive, replaced, and working fine within four working days. Staff extremely professional and helpful. Would certainly use again.

I am extremely pleased with how Computer Rescue 911 helped to take care of my needs. Josh worked closely with me to understand what I needed for a home office setup, and went out of his way to provide excellent service! Robert took care of the setup in my home and he too represented CR 911 as a first class business to work with!

They have been servicing our computers for 5 years and we are very happy with the price and service.

Nice people very helpful and they fixed our pc, it works like new, thanks

Eric Cheadle

Awesome service to my place of business. Very quick and experienced service!

I can't afford a lot of downtime. They have an "Express" option for $35. They looked at my mac, diagnosed the problem, ordered parts and let me take it home so i could continue working. They called me next day when the ordered part came in… i was back there within an hour, and had it back within 2 more. They are one of only 2 Apple-Authorized repair shops in Grand Rapids. HIGHLY RECCOMEND

Snazzy Finazzi

Their rates are $88 an hour to work on computers and $98 an hour to work on any Apple products. They won't work on anything longer than an hour and a half before letting you know what is going on. Overall a very good place and they manage to fix my computer.

Carol Stouten

Apple couldn't get me in for a day or so and said Computer Rescue 911 was authorized. I took the appt. and was very pleased, Josh did the repair on my MacBook Pro on time, quick service, courteous. Yes, I would go back again. Thank you Josh!

After spending 2 frustrating hours at the apple store only to be told that "we can't find anything wrong with it, and even if we did, we couldn't work on it because it's a 2011 model". They recommended I take it to Computer Rescue 911 to see if they could figure it out. Well I wasn't in there two minutes before they said "oh yeah, we've seen this before, we'll take care of it." And boy did they ever! Their service was fast, friendly, and efficient, but most importantly HONEST! The very next morning one of their techs (Josh) called with a progress report and said "listen, I'd love to sell you a bunch of parts and bills for labor, but the fact of the matter is that if it needs a lot done, you may get away cheaper and be better off just buying a brand new computer." (which they don't sell btw) I thought that really said something about the integrity of this company. In the end it turned out to be that the old mechanical drive was starting to wear out and slow down, They installed a new SSD drive with a lot more RAM, and now my unit runs faster than it EVER has, for less than a 1/4 of the price of a new Mac. Needless to say, next time I'm not even going to bother taking it to the Apple store, Computer Rescue 911 now has a new long term customer.

D J MichaelAngelo

The technician who fixed my desktop computer, Robert, was friendly, outgoing, polite, and extremely knowledgeable. They do charge a lot for house calls (almost twice the hourly rate that another smaller one-man shop in Rockford quoted me) but overall I'm glad I hired them, and would recommend them to anyone.

Janet Galanis

Robert Schabel, our tech, VERY PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, PATIENT, BOTH A PEOPLE PERSON & LISTENER, NOT IN A RUSH TO DO THINGS & EXIT OUT. This was our first experience with 911. Hope they keep up to our expectations. Being in our 70's, explained things that were on our level, as we are not into all this technical jargon. Jim, my husband, is one who gets frustrated & very nervous when things go wrong, computerwise, etc,. So one has to be patient and make it simple. If a tech installs something new or replaces something, it has to be simply explained to Jim. In all, again, five stars to Robert, we each give him two thumbs up, and if there is a future issue, will personally ask for Robert, if available or wait until he is, if nothing major. We feel comfortable that after a while, we know the tech and the tech knows us. Thank you Robert!! Merry Christmas!! YOU WERE APPRECIATED BY THE TWO OF US. We hope nothing else develops before the end of the year. Regards, Janet & Jim Galanis

Professional, friendly service - paid $110, nothing resolved, found someone else repairing two for less... BUT... they got right back with me and resolved it beautifully after initial posting, even refunded a large portion of the bill, again highly professional but also apologetic, genuine... I would definitely return and trust them with any of my electronic devices.

Rochelle Visser

Had an overall good expirence. Will use again.

Changed from 3 to 5 stars I had previously recorded 3 stars because I felt that Computer Rescue 911's services were a bit overpriced and that I had been overcharged for a second visit. Upon seeing this 3-star review, they contacted me, agreed with my explanation as to why the second visit was related to the first, and offered me a portion of the second visit's cost as a refund. This shows concern for customer satisfaction and alleviated the cause for my 3-star review, so I am changing it to 5 stars. Regardless of the pricing issues, ComputerRescue911 was very technically capable and resolved the issues with my computer promptly.

I'm not sure about their service since I went in and purchased a 250gb Kingston SSD and installed it myself but they completely ripped me off. I went online because I thought the $100 price was high and i realized that I could have bought it myself for $30. I mean, a $70 price hike is just absurd and I certainly will never shop here again. Update: I got in contact with the owner. We spoke and he ended up giving me some money back. He and his colleagues were very nice over the phone and were quick to remedy the situation.

Michael King

Any way to give these folks six stars? My hard drive failed on my old iMac 27" and this place was recommended by Apple. I brought it in late on a Friday and I got a call early Monday with the proposed fix. It was ready for pick up on Tuesday. I was upgraded from a hard disc drive to a solid state drive. And what a difference! Before the actual failure, I would have to almost plan my day around booting up the iMac because it was so slow. With the SSD, I press the power button and it's pretty much up before I sit down. If I had done this years ago I would have saved myself a ton of anguish and lots of foul language. I cannot compliment the staff too much. They are professional, helpful, knowledgeable, reasonable and prompt. Don't waste your time shopping around. If you have a computer issue, this is the place to go.

Stephen Nichelson

This place has great technicians and a wealth on information. If you have any questions at all about your MacBook or Apple devices this is the place to go. If you want any kind of work done to any of your tech bring it to Computer Rescue 911.

I live in Florida and was visiting my family when I dropped my computer it was beyond repair. I was so worried that I would have lost everything on it including all my family photos. The staff at the store listened to my needs and guided me toward a great laptop and transferred everything for me. The hard drive was in bad shape but they were able to recover it all! I was very happy shopping here and wish there was a store in Florida!

My Mac became completely corrupted due to the Sierra OS software update the day before Thanksgiving. Apple couldn't accommodate support at the store and recommended Computer Rescue 911 as an approved service provider. I'm self employed and can't live without my laptop. Sadly, I was completely out of commission and in a complete frenzy. They escalated my issue (you pay extra for this, but so worth it), communicated with me proactively, worked hard on my behalf with Apple to do what was right to save me extra steps and headache and recovered all of my data (when they thought they couldn't) - all by Friday afternoon. I plan to go straight to them versus Apple for any future issues. A+ service and team!

Recently bought a storage drive here, unlike buying online they explain how to activate the device.

Had a major email problem that four techs from my host company and two from a computer repair company couldn't fix. Until I brought the laptop to Computer Rescue 911. Owner and chief tech Kevin Damaghani had a look and took no time to get rid of the issue. Most impressive.

Jessica Fox

This place deserves all the rave reviews it's already received. I was there today to get a battery installed on my old macbook air and I received the absolute best service of my life. This sounds like hyperbole, but I swear it's not. I walked in with a laptop and a laptop battery and explained that I didn't know how to install it and I didn't have the screwdrivers required even if I did. The extremely nice man behind the desk fixed me up with a new battery, ran some tests on it, and even cleaned it up for me, at no charge. I've already told three people about this place today and I refuse to shut up about it until everybody in Grand Rapids knows about it.

Jason Glaser

The service is fast, competitively priced and highly professional. Staff is knowledgable and helpful, they'll always do their best to match prices with even online deals and it's the kind of place you can build a relationship with. Local business is key and they do great work.

I had a virus that completely locked up my computer. After unsuccessfully trying to recover the system myself, I gave Computer Rescue 911 a try due to the positive reviews. I dealt with Kevin who was able to get it back up and running within an hour. He even checked in on it remotely later in the week to be certain the issue was fixed! Above and beyond!

Excellent, friendly and professional people. They are there when you need them! They have been great helping us with our small business and personal computer needs.
