Paul is the best....I have been a client for five years...always repairs my personal computer and laptops. He also has repaired our computers in our law office....can usually fix things remotely and has always worked on a rush basis for us. I would and have recommended him to many people and will continue to do so. He is very knowledgeable, efficient and his charges have always been fair and reasonable for any work that he did for us.

“Total frustration” is how I would describe our experience with Paul’s Computer Repair. On August 8, 2018 my son dropped off and paid $590 to have a repair done on his computer. The repair was supposed to take just over a week because Paul said he could only get the part from China. Well it’s September 11, 2018 and I just picked up the computer... five weeks later. So many things could have been handled differently to alleviate the frustration, such as being given an accurate time frame or offered a refund when the original part had to be reordered. I am writing this review because I feel it is my only recourse. Hopefully it will make someone think twice before having repairs done at Paul’s Computer Repair. Oh, I never actually met Paul because he was never in the shop.

Paul is a Seasoned Pro! Temp of my computer was 210 deg F which is very dangerous for the unit. Paul made an immediate diagnosis of what the problem was. I got he computer back within a reasonable period of time and the temp is no longer a problem. Paul is experienced, honest and fair.

Initially, Paul quoted us 4 hours of work to clean out our laptop due to a spill. Around 3 weeks later, our laptop was still not ready and the date kept getting pushed further. He asked to be payed in full upfront, by check, and citing money issues he was having and that his credit card machine was not working, which should have been a red flag. We were given conflicting accounts of the status of the computer over the first two weeks, hearing that the spill was cleaned and the computer needed to just be put backtogether, then the next day being told he was just getting to cleaning it. After two weeks of checking in with little communication, he finally told us the battery needed to be replaced, and asked us to order the part to his office for him, again citing money issues. He told us he was searching every day that second week for a battery to order for us and wasn't finding anything, my husband looked for 2 minutes and found multiple in stock on amazon readily availabile. We start losing faith in the project, and tried to get straight answers on when it would be completed. We were told one day that if he "worked another 12 hours on our computer we would still not have it completed that day," however magically a half hour later he calls my husband and tells him to come in and that the computer would be ready and that we made him feel bad. After getting the battery into the computer we were still met with a "Replace Now" error, and the computer would not stay on without the power cord(problems that we did have before dropping the computer off,) however when we asked Paul if the original battery maybe wasn't the issue he told us he never actually tested it, meaning we ordered a part out of pocket for a battery we didn't actually need. After swapping the battery the trackpad stopped working, an issue that set us back another few days. My husband left his office empty handed. Once we heard about the trackpad, Paul told us he would buy the part this time and 2-day ship it on a Tuesday (thus arriving Thursday). When we went to pick up our laptop on Friday, we finally got in touch with him after dodging my husbands call, but when I called a minute later from a different number he answered. He asked if we could wait until Saturday because the part wouldn’t be there now until Saturday morning, and had no recollection of telling us about the 2 day shipping. When arriving Saturday, he tells us the trackpad part that came in was the wrong part and would like us to come back again on Tuesday. At this point we pull the project, not having confidence this would get done in a timely manner if at all, and having paid in full already we were SOL. We asked to have the laptop put back together in the best working order he can for pickup, when arriving home we realize now the keyboard no longer works, the fan is running on full blast when the computer is on, and there are now large scratches on the top of the laptop from poor handeling(issues all of which were not disclosed to us.) Of course, calling Paul after getting home we were once again met with our call being dodged and not returned. I would not recommend using this service if you would like your equipment taken care of and properly fixed. Our laptop came back to use in far worse shape and after almost a month, we still need a professional to now fix it further.

I have read several reviews about this business, most notably two of them stand out, one from Paul S from Whitman and another from Cheryl S from Saugus and I want the world to know that I do not agree with the review that both of them have posted. In fact I am appalled at the trash that they wrote about Pauls's Computer Repair. It could not be further from the truth. Are they both on drugs? Are they sure they have the right guy? There is something rotten in Denmark about their reviews. I have done business with Paul's Computer Repair for several years and he is without a doubt the BEST computer repair guy in the business. He knows exactly what he is doing...........there are no flies on him and if there are they are paying rent. He has fixed numerous problems that I have experienced on my computer many times over the years and he has always been reasonable with his prices, He is the BEST IN THE BUSINESS at diagnosing and repairing computer problems, he treats you in a professional and courteous manner and the repairs have always been completed in one day. I could not be happier. He is the GO TO GUY for any problems you may be experiencing with your computer. I mean......where else are you going to go? To Best Buy where they bait you with a low price up front then shove it up your fanny until it comes out of your mouth when it comes to charging you for the repair? Not me. I love Paul and if you do business with him you will too. You will never go wrong using his services. You can take that to the bank.

RUN! I contacted Paul to repair my 10 month old Dell Inspiron laptop after a coffee spill. He assured me he could repair the laptop with a 'new mother board' and there would be no residual issues with it or the operating system. I paid for the repair. After four weeks of back and forth, Paul advised the parts he ordered from ebay in Guangdong, China hadn't arrived yet! An additional two weeks later, still chasing this man, I retrieved my laptop. The motherboard is NOT an exact replacement and laptop is trash!

I just started a new business in Peabody MA and on my 4th day of business, I came into work to find that both of my computer had gone down. I was scrambling to wonder what the heck I was going to do. I googled computer repair and Pauls Computer Repair popped up. This was a 6:45 am. I called Paul he answered the phone, I explained my situation and he handled it very professional and told me not to panic, we will resolve the problem. He was in my office at 7:30 that morning (45 minute later) troubleshooting the issue. He diagnosed the problem and needed to bring the computer to his shop to troubleshoot further. Within an hr he had a resolution. I was back up and running within 3hrs. Needless to say he totally brought me out of panic mode. He then took my other computer and had that up and running in 45 minutes. Paul was a SAVIOR and he could have charged me any amount of money knowing the situation I was in. His price was unbelievable mind boggling at a very low cost. I highly recommend Paul as he was professional and most importantly made me feel really confident, that he could fix my issue and totally gave me a piece of mind. Paul is AWESOME!

I'm really glad I found Paul's computer repair on the web. I called him and described in general what happened to my PC. He stated what he was sure what the problem was and that he would fix it. I delivered the PC the next day, two days later it was as good as new. He not only fixed it, but went ahead and did a lot of extras at no charge. Speaking of charge, his price was way more than fair. I would recommend Paul's Computer Repair anytime I was asked.

I had given up hope on my father's laptop when he spilled liquid on the keyboard. It shorted out the display, motherboard and keyboard. Paul was able to restore the machine to perfect working order for 1/3 of what it would cost to replace it. He also gave it a quick tune-up and it runs better than it has for a long time.
