The wait time is less than ideal: I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, and ended up with help over 25 minutes later. Other than that, once it came my turn to get help, the experience was excellent. Jesse was very attentive and went extra miles to make my experience as good as it can get. Based on my experience, it's advised to note their busiest hours and plan accordingly, since at 3pm when I went the store was packed full and the wait times were as I described.

Completely incompetent. Asked to wait 20 minutes even with an appointment; asked the tech support guy to email me diagnostics. The email didn't arrive immediately while I was in the store so I asked him if he sent it. He assured me that it had been sent... but of course, the promised diagnostics email never arrived. Had to go back to the store the following weekend (with another appointment at the Retard Bar, and another long wait) to do the same thing, and the same thing happened -- diagnostics email never arrived. You will find better customer service and more competence at the Dollar Tree.

We have been loyal Apple customers for ages.we have never had a bad experience with the incredibly helpful staff and They do what they can to assess your needs. Last week we brought back our Apple 15.4" MacBook Pro Notebook for an unfortunate fan issue. Yesterday my Husband called to check on my laptop status.He was told the laptop is up and running . Apple is everything that you need, and who wants to live in a world without Apple? Cool folks and never any attitude.

Not happy with the customer service in here. I literally have the smallest ears ever and I have some Powerbeats 3 at the moment. They were gifted to me. This is the second time I’ve had these because the hook that goes around the back of the ear keeps bending to the point where it eventually snaps. (On both sides) I have to adjust them all the way because they’re a way too big for me. I pulled them out today to video chat with a friend and the hook was separated from the base where the Bluetooth button is. I’m very disappointed at the moment because the manager Bernai and the associate Matt were extremely unhelpful and downright rude by questioning my intelligence. They consider this normal ware and tare, so my suggestion would be to not buy any Powerbeats at all. They were telling me that I could send them out, but it would cost $200 and I asked her if that made any sense at all because they’re literally only worth the $200. I could just replace them in store instead of all that effort. I said I would take the $50 hit for any of the other headphones if they could just replace them for me now. They weren’t friendly or considerate of my situation. Instead all they’ve been doing is whispering about me. I would highly suggest against coming to this store. This is definitely why they have the lowest rating. Such a shame.

After an hour of commute, I finally arrived at the store, only to be told that there was a 3.5 hour wait time or I could make an appointment for next week. Why didn't they tell me this on the phone when I called? I was told that "just bring your laptop here".

My dad's iphone (which was fairly new) was completely unusable (would not turn on). Came to this store to get a replacement. Mind you, we had to pay for the replacement. They said they would email my mom the receipt (she never received it; they couldn't even spell her email address right so please tell me what they're doing right). So she calls Apple to get the receipt, and when they asked for the serial number, they discovered there's no info on it because the phone is old. WHICH MEANS IT'S REFURBISHED but tell me why when she goes back to the store, they tell her it's not refurbished and that the serial number on the phone is my dad's old phone. Yea, my mom goes home and checks my dad's old phone box for the serial number and they DO NOT MATCH. I'm writing this now, but we will be back. Be ready.

Every time that I go to the store to get some help I always come out very frustrated due to the lack of flexibility that I encounter. I understand that there has to be some policies but sometimes things do happen and we need help right away. There should be someone available to help with technical support if it is an urgent matter and not make us come back hours later.

It was awesome ! We got there & they greeted us from the door .. Send us over one guy & then another one. Took my information & told me to come back in a hour and twenty minutes. Mind you I didn't have appointment ! It was great ;) got my phone fixed and left in less than two hours exactly!

Getting an appointment at the Genius Bar means you have to wait in line for some time even though you are at the time of your appointment, if you have a real problem with your phone you have to give a solid argument otherwise they would just send you home. Waiting almost for everything, and avoid getting the screen protector put from here.

I spilled water on my Mac pro! I flipped it upside down and turned it off at the same time. I cleaned it and dried it with hair dryer. Next day (March 06/2014) I showed it up to genius bar at this location "CambridgeSide". I tolled the guy there everything and my Mac was still working at the time I shut it off. I told him if it possible to clean it more from inside and to check everything. I waited 10 minutes, the guy come and said " I have good news (your HD still working) and bad news (your Logic board is not working "toasted" and the reason that all inside got rusted!! He said "we charge $750 flat rate to fix this and needed 6 days to do that". I was in hurry, I had flight to my country next day so I decided to take my Mac back with HD outside so I can recover my data and come back later to fix it. I went home and decided to turn it on and was working!! I put the HD back and turned it on again and WALA it is working like nothing happened. Still working until now with no issues. I have no idea why he claimed its permanently damaged and need to spend that amount of money to fix it!! Is it Apple policy to do so?! or the unresponsible act from the guy that tried to rip me off?! I'm glad that my flight reason saved me and my Mac worked again. I really hate that... Apple!

I love Apple. I love that every time I've had an issue I think they take care of me to the best of their ability (it helps that I always buy a full warranty). However - my laptop was recently repaired by the Galleria location and they told me they'd contact me in 3-5 days to let me know when it would be returned. They did not. Today (day 6) I called them. An automated computer told me to check the status online. I did and my laptop is back at Apple, repaired, as of yesterday morning. I tried to call the store which brings you to a national service which routes you back to the store - just to be put on hold for 7 minutes with music. No one was going to pick up my call. I'm going to go there and get it now - but someone giving me a call to let me know I could have gotten it yesterday (I use my laptop for work/my living so it's important) or answering my calls would have been nice. C'mon Apple.

I had an appointment at 7:05pm. I got there earlier then I thought I would when I made the appointment Saturday afternoon. So I asked the greeter if I could be seen earlier. He got snappy. And said no there is a three hour wait. Made it seem like he just wanted me gone. So I came at 6:55 pm. Took my seat. Almost twenty minutes late. Not impressed. I make a appointment at a certain time I expect you guys to be on time or close to it. The guy I worked with was a little helpful though.

This showroom is big and you have all the available Apple products on display here. Yes it is an huge showroom located on the Ground level of the mall. You have many staffs to assist you. When the store is crowded there is normally a waiting time. As all other Apple store not much discounts are available, but you will get your products.

[Update:] Thanks, Apple, for wasting my time. After having been to the store a couple of times (see below), it took them five days to order a replacement battery to their store; I went there again to drop off my macbook when the battery arrived (because – luckily! – I had chosen not to leave my macbook there); but the installation would have taken 3 to 5 (!!!) days. For the steep prices I expect stellar and prompt service, particularly since replacing the battery on a 2016 macbook air is quite an easy task. It´s just not acceptable to deprive a customer of a device they need in their day to day work for that long. So now I will do it myself (which will also save me a lot of money). [original post:] Genious Bar is really one of the great misnomers of modern marketing. I came in with a battery issue on my MacBook on a Monday, they only had an appointment at their so-called Genius Bar for Wednesday afternoon. At the actual appointment it took the employee roughly 2 minutes (why did I need an appointment again?) to look at my MacBook to determine the issue (which I had already determined myself). But - they didn’t have a replacement battery in stock although they had on file since Monday that i had a battery issue. So again: why did I have to make an appointment? It was and continues to be a great waste of time since now I have to return for a third time. Two stars because they are generally very friendly.

Geoff an Apple employee for 5 years is ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL, PROACTIVE, AND EMBODIES WHAT USE TO BE A VERY ENGAGING EXPERIENCE WHEN GOING INTO AN APPLE STORE. Geoff took ownership of my issue, handled the "sign in" junk. I left the store at 11:04, I got an email at 11:44 that my issue was resolved & my iPhone fixed---it had a broken screen. So, why the suck rating. Nancy Nancy Nancy. She just happens to be the "Store Manager" who was on duty. She is a buffoon w/ zero ability to rationally engage people in a manner that befits a Manager who is seeking to resolve, remedy, and be proactive toward the client. (yet those are just words...what follows is a brief description to support those words.) My iPhone screen is cracked. I tried to make a reservation at the Cambridge MA Apple store online. After combing through 9-10 menu screens, the Apple site asked for my phone number. I provided it, and promptly got a text msg (they were trying to remotely diagnose my issue---without any customer engagement). After that failed, and considering that I was literally looking at the issue (a broken screen)---I phoned Apple...the person I ultimately spoke to was sufficiently pleasant, however the only Appt at Cambridge was for 3:15, so she suggested I simply walk-in early. Store is on my way to work as I commute...so I found a 30 min meter, parked, and went to the store. It wasn't crowded. Yet, I became agitated with the gentleman trying to help me---and raised my voice---no yelling screaming---just reiterating "WHY DO I NEED TO WAIT, I DON'T WANT TO GET A PARKING TICKET. YOU SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, JUST TAKE IT, I WILL SIGN WHATEVER AND PAY...JUST TAKE THE PHONE, I GOT 20 MINS LEFT ON MY METER...IT ISN'T LIKE THE SCREEN JUST CRACKED & I SUSPECT AN OVERHEATING LITHIUM BATTERY...NO I DROPPED THE THING...JUST TAKE IT". Then Nancy came over & stonewalled and stonewalled me----telling me it had to be at least 25 mins until the phone could be "signed in" and taken. Her primary concern was that I was talking loudly---mind you, I wasn't yelling, I wasn't cursing, etc. All that Nancy could do for me was offer to break a $1 bill so I could put more quarters in the meter. Nancy is the Store Manager, or so she claimed, she could have been proactive seeing what the obvious problem was---but she suggested it could be far worse and a new screen wouldn't "seat properly". I told he no way. But she refused to expedite anything...(look if this was a "real" issue like the phone didn't download apps, I would have respected the non-sense policies)...but this was a cracked screen. Nancy walked away from me...I assume she was going to break the $1 bill, but she went to check in on some other customer. Geoff appeared out of nowhere---took my phone signed me in, had everything done for me to leave the phone completed within---perhaps 3-4 mins----GEOFF IS A SAVIOR, HE OUGHT BE THE STORE MANAGER. I got my dollar back from Nancy---who, unfortunately I must state again is a blithering imbecile. I was out of the store at 11:04am. I got an email in my office at 11:44am that the phone was repaired and a new screen had been installed and it was ready for pick up...which I will do on my commute home. Nancy embodies the Apple of today...a cold, idiot, bureaucrat. Geoff embodies the Apple that once was---full of wonderment and proactive client engagement. Thank you Geoff...I've reached out to Apple Corporate....Nancy...well, your mentality is why this store has a suck rating to begin with. -David

I am beyond disappointed with the service I received from Ms. Kovach. The only thing she managed to do was humiliate & ruin my day. Spoke on the phone with store and care regarding headphones that had the audio end joints detach. Had no receipt and manager was able to replace my headphones within 3 minutes of entering the store. This is why I'm a huge fan and love going to this store. They get it.

Like many other reviewers I set a reservation and over the phone and it was lost. Not only did they lose the one I placed over the phone. They lost the one I made in person, at the store. I stood around for 20 min, not knowing my reservation was deleted. You would think they'd keep better track of people planning on shelling out $850 on a phone. The only reason this store gets more than one star is because the staff was very courteous when I put in my third reservation to buy a phone.

Okay, I happen to be there the day after the iPhone X came out. Need I say more? They were busy. But, I did get to message around with the new iPhone and the service was friendly. I can imagine they stay busy with MIT so close. Good clean place and a great Cambridge location. It's clearly an anchor store at this location and the only thing I would have wanted if I was Apple was a front facing window on the outside of the mall. It's MIT and it's Apple, you know they are popular and should be on an exterior spot instead of the Cheescake Factory.

I bought applecare + for my daughter's mac book pro. 13 months later the screen failed. Now it takes a week to get an appointment. Best buy at least looked at it. They will ship it out for a 14 day repair. Why do people want Apples. This sort of service is ridiculous.

Rude staff, will not acknowledge your concerns when sending in for repair. Even though its due to a fabrication issue (and they have ordered and delivered the part already) they will still ask you to leave your computer for 3-4 days while it 'waits' in line. Their solution: buy a new computer.

I just wanted to buy a phone, didn't need advice. Made me wait, said I was 2nd in line. After 10 minutes I was suddenly 5th in line yet loads is free advisers standing around looking confused. When I said I literally just want to pay for the phone and leave to catch a flight the guy organising the cue just responded "that's what everybody wants". Rude!! Left without making the purchase.

Mr. Brege provided an amazing service when helping my friend that was looking to replicate a prior purchase, but wasn't carrying its specs. The attendant approached us as he noticed we were waiting for long and solved the purchase in minutes, by using my friend's email address to track specs via online receipts. Others seemed confused about how to find the data, but Mr. Brege did it with excellence. Although l I'm not an Apple user, I have to say thay this was a good customer service.

I didn't have an appointment, but they snuck me in anyways. I explained the problem and they compared to my records from a few months ago (from a different store in Canada, I'm impressed by their organization). Because it was a similar problem, they waived all costs of repairs. I didn't request this, they just offered to do it for free. Service was performed in a reasonable amount of time as well.

Determined with Apple phone support that my mac laptop was eligible for a warranty extension repair program that fixed a known video problem. Made an appointment over the phone for the Apple Store in Cambridge at the "Genius" bar. I dread. I show up on time. Wait 10 minutes while the Genius behind the counter tells his life story to the lady next to me. Finally, a Genius comes to talk to me! How lucky I am. He informs me my laptop isn't under warranty anymore and that I will have to pay for the repair. I explain the call to Apple phone support. The genius has found the little app on the apple web site that shows my laptop is indeed out of warranty - but that doesn't take into account the warranty extension program. No dice, he isn't budging. I could have argued more but I would have started swearing after a little more of that abuse. I went home and called Apple. Tyler was great and sent me a box for me to ship them my laptop in overnight. All will be fixed for free. Avoid the Apple Genius bar at all cost.

I am here at the newly renovated store. The lighting is really bright. There are games for sale here. There are a few large computers to use. The apple watches are on display. The iwatch you would think you would see more of those around. I have not noticed those on anyone. I might get an apple watch when I start my job.

I was second person on the list and I was watching 4-5 employees were in funny conversation and I asked them why I am waiting 40-45 minutes and they said this is not our job you have to wait !!! Wait time isn't too bad if you have an appointment. But the person who helped me had a totally different story from the person who helped me via chat. And he seemed so done with his job. There are a few enthusiastic employees and that's nice. But this location is usually where parents just leave their kids while they browse some products so you see a lot of children running around.

Bought a LaCie external drive today. It was important that I received a receipt TODAY. "We'll email it to you" said the young woman. "I need it today" I stressed. Well........it's now 8pm, there's no emailed receipt and I strongly suspect that there isn't going to be one. Shoddy.......very shoddy.

The new apple store in cambridge is really sleek and futuristic. There are long wood tables that display the apple line of products. There are wood blocks and a large screen in the center of the store for classes and demonstrations. There are apple watches for sale and routers cables accessories to take a serious look at. Also for sale are toys by Pixar movie Cars and Star wars robot a shade of white sphere with silver accents and orange circles and the top consists of a half dome with antennae and camera. From the STAR WARS collection. There are also parrot mambo the drone and tankbot kits. Gives us the idea that we should desist from the lure of the internet once in a while and built a robot from found objects.

I came in yesterday with a MacBook Air issue and an iPad issue. My genius/tech was Tex, or Tyler, who went so far above and beyond what was needed to help me with both issues. He spent so much time fixing the connection issue on my iPad and even, after spending 45+ minutes on the phone with Verizon to fix their end of it, also managed to have them refund my account for overcharging me after looking at my account. He helped me change settings to improve battery life on all my devices, helped me pick out rechargeable cases for my iPhone, and helped me back up my MacBook. When I need to buy a new computer (sadly, soon) I will definitely be going back to this location after my experience. Thanks, Tex!

They don't know how to fix Iphones. They just look into there tab and they only know the reset phone to fixing up . My phone was fixed by my friend where he is not professnal as they are .

The staff are not always knowledgable about the products and apps that they are selling. This was very nerve racking and a little maddening because they would give answers that were completely wrong. I was interested about using the IBOOKS AUTHOR program. I was getting a new computer because my current computer was not capable of handling the software. The first guy had never heard of the program and was reading about it to answer my questions. I asked to talk to someone else. The second guy did not know about it either. So I asked to talk to someone else. The woman I talked to said that you could absolutely use the IPAD as a tablet for the mac air and that there were tons of programs. I had read about this and new there was one program that did not have a good rating. This was when a trainer came over and said that 'no, you could not use an IPAD as a tablet. There seems to be a 'fake it until you make it' attitude that if you don't know say with complete conviction the answer you think it should be. I told them this was not encouraging when I was going to spend over $1,000 for a computer. After found the answers I needed by reading something on the computer while I waited, again, for help, I decided to get the computer. After that the woman that helped me was very helpful and actually encouraged me to get some of the less expensive options.. I was impressed with this. The man on the floor that was helping me set up the computer seemed bored with the process. I am sure it is boring but he is a salesperson representing a company and should be consistant with the overall friendly service that apple offers.

I went there to buy a gift. I felt like I was being interrogated, simply to buy a charging cable. You have to give so much information and wait a while in order to buy anything. That was my impression. Apple should simplify this process.

I walked into that store yesterday, and it was so busy. a young gentleman (asian looking) was taking reservations on his IPAD. He took another person even though I was waiting before that person. Fine, so he set up an appointment for that person than when it was my turn "of course" he said: we're booked for tonight. I explained to him in 30 seconds what happened, but he just repeated: we're booked for tonight. I was so mad, I forgot to take his name. I dealt with Jesse before though, he was awesome.

Every time I visited this place never gets help or resolves, either they don’t know what they doing, or something including the manager. I took Uber just to make it before they close the store 6:50 for 10 minutes I got answer they closing Time can’t resolve, :(

They lost my appointment/reservation at the genius bar. This wouldn't be terrible if they weren't always over booked!! I was disappointed because my last time at the store went way better than I could ever hoped - they replaced my phone for free when I dropped it within a week of receiving it. One other thing - if you have to pay to replace your phone when you bought Apple Care, I'm not sure this is a great deal. Can't the geniuses at the genius bar figure out how to fix the phone instead of just replacing it?

Last night we visited Apple CambridgeSide. We waited for a few minutes for a sales rep to join us. We started asking a few questions about an Apple Watch, and the sales rep acted like we were the dumbest people in the store. Her attitude escalated, and soon enough we felt uncomfortable being in the store. We requested for a different sales rep, and the manager came to assist. The manager was understanding, but still no help. We ended up leaving the store and purchasing apple watches at Target! I recommend not going to this store and visiting any other Apple store in the area, all of the others we have had positive experiences at.

I took my iPhone 6 in because of the new iOS update made my phone stop connecting to the internet so I went in and asked for them to fix it and they removed everything off my phone and they said they couldn't fix it after they removed it then they said I should just buy a new phone then the guy next to me got a new phone when it was his fault that he cracked his screen when it was apples failt my phone isn't working

Any time I've ever had a problem with any of my Apple products they've been beyond helpful here! They also informed me that Verizon has given me a refurbished for 4S iPhone and the proper paperwork to show Verizon that it wasn't a new phone. I currently have the new 6+ iPhone with Sprint and I'm looking forward to taking classes here it's a great store with the best Apple employees I've ever seen!
