He offered to diagnose and repair it by later in the day even though it was already after lunch. He fixed it good as new, it's running faster than ever and the price was very reasonable. I asked him to wipe the removed disk and recycle. He didn't do so immediately and I was able to call him to get the disk to recover some data I failed to back up. When I got there, another customer was just leaving. He told me that he was a very satisfied repeat customer. John asked many questions to determine what was wrong with my laptop. He was able to repair it that day. When I picked it up, he told me that we might have to revisit the connectivity issue - he told me about a possible solution involving an additional part but thought I should try to see whether it was necessary. I took it home and tested it but the problem remained. So I brought it back and John added the part, all as part of the 30 day guarantee. Everything is working beautifully now! I'm very pleased! John knows computers, he is thorough and a pleasure to deal with. No question that I would return if I needed help again. And I will certainly recommend him.

I had serious issues with my Dell desktop computer freezing not loading programs along with a Microsoft word program the company failed to install as promised. What made me even angrier, the computer was fairly new like two weeks old. Anyway I later randomly searched for local computer repair service in my area, it was late Friday evening which most of them told me give them a call on Saturday if not by Monday the soonest they would be able to help. Finally I made contact with Baltimore PC repair, although it was slightly after business hours plus it’s the weekend the technician told me he’d be more than happy to help come over as soon as I can. Not only did he install Microsoft word full package at an incredibly low cost an excellent value, but he also removed thousands of viruses from my computer using an anti-virus protection now my computer works like new again a loads fast. John was a delight to work with. I had an issue with my custom desktop randomly shutting down after a blue screen. I took it to Best Buy, and they charged me for a diagnostic, and then promptly called me the next day and told me they didn't work on custom built computers. I got my diagnostic fee back, and took it to John. He asked very good questions about what was going on and was able to actually diagnose the problem before he even touched the system. He did his due diligence any and did all his testing to ensure what he thought was wrong was actually the issue, and was able to get the problem fixed. He kept me well informed through the process, calling me every day to let me know what was going on. When he had is fixed, I was pleasantly surprised to find that he actually factored in the cost of my diagnostic into the repair, discounting the repair by the amount of the diagnostic fee. I arrived in Baltimore on a Sunday morning after a redeye form California to demo at a legal security techshow. When I tried to boot my computer, the error message said "no hard drive available". I began calling every shop in town that I could find and got no responses. I finally found Baltimore PC Repair late in the afternoon. John had me stop by his shop at 7:30 pm and diagnosed the problem (the hard drive was in fact DOA). He calmly told me that he could have a new hard drive installed, with a compete OS, Microsoft Office suite and security software, all by 8:30 the next morning. Good to his word, my laptop was ready for pickup that morning and I was ready to connect to the internet and demo my software. John performed above and beyond my expectations and he did it at a very fair price. No hesitations, call John if you want excellent service. He delivers!

I took my laptop to Baltimore PC Repair on 11/18/16, after wasting two weeks of having it at Computer Clinic in Cockeysville, MD. When I went over to Computer Clinic earlier in November, I gave him my computer on a Wednesday and he didn’t email me with quotes of what the computer needed until 2 long weeks later and after doing an easy google search, it was obvious he was price gouging me in both parts and labor. Hector Lopez from CC quoted me: “I have the diagnostic and estimate to repair your laptop, I've found a defective video cable, defective LCD screen and also the Hard Drive has errors but it is still usable (bad sectors on the surface). For an estimate, please see details below. Parts: - LCD Screen, $ 139.95 + Tax - Video Cable, $ 69.95 + Tax - Brand New Hard Disk Drive (500 GB), $ 99.95 +Tax <==> OPTIONAL Labor: - Screen replacement, $ 89.00 - HDD replacement, $ 159.00 <==> OPTIONAL” The “required repair” totals he quoted me were $298.90 before tax, with the “optional repairs” being $258.95 before tax. First off, I never even mentioned to him that my hard drive was having issues or was slow, second off I was incredibly frustrated that he took two weeks, tried to price gouge me, and when I got into the store to pick up my property he told me I needed to replace my hard drive or else it was going to die, compared to the email exchange saying it was okay but could get worse. This felt like he was trying to scare and intimidate me to leave my computer with him instead of going to another store, when I flat out told him I could take it somewhere else for cheaper costs. John from Baltimore PC Repair ONLY CHARGED ME $135 for PARTS AND LABOR. John also took one day to call me back and say, hey this seems to be the issue (a bad video cable), what the other repair tech quoted you doesn’t seem to be true, I will go ahead and buy the video cable with your approval and try that first since your screen seems to be fine and you haven’t mentioned any issues with your hard drive. The wait for the part to come in didn’t seem bad at all considering the repairs were happening around Thanksgiving and I knew he would be spending time with his family. As soon as the computer was fixed, he called me, I picked it up the next day, and the price was still only $135. John was polite, helpful, informative, and also fun to talk to. I didn’t feel intimidated or nervous leaving my computer with him nor did I feel like I would be ripped off, considering the other extremely positive reviews left for him. In summary, do not go to Computer Clinic in Cockeysville!! Hector Lopez will absolutely rip you off for both your time and money. If you are in Hunt Valley, Cockeysville, or Timonium, it is worth the drive over to Parkville to get your computer fixed properly and by a professional who you will treat you right. John is very easy to talk to and it is very easy to set up an appointment over the phone to see him at your convenience.

I am currently typing up this review with my newly repaired Lenovo computer. This was a computer that was only a year old, but about six months ago, I ran into an issue with it. My touch screen stopped working, my USB ports stopped working, and my computer would often run into issues and restart whenever it wanted to. I went to Baltimore PC Repair because it had good reviews here on google, so I was expecting a 5 star performance. This repair shop exceeded my high expectations! I called to make an appointment right at 8 AM after the store opened and made an appointment for 8:15AM! John was the professional who took care of my desktop computer. The repair shop was sort of hard to find at first, as the building looks like your average house - with a sign indicating that it's a PC repair shop out front, and parking in the back. The reason I needed help was that I had tried to upgrade the processor myself but had botched the installation somehow, and the machine wouldn't even boot up! I gave John my PC and he repaired it the very same day. The service I received was truly remarkable. I got calls every couple hours with updates regarding the state of the repairs. Here's the play by play. I learned at 10AM that I had bent the pins of the new processor that I had tried to install the night before, and that John was going to try booting up my computer with the old processor to see if anything else was damaged. I got a call an hour later that my old processor still functioned perfectly fine, and that he would try to fix the processor I had bent and see if it could be salvaged. at 3PM I got a third call that he had managed to bend BACK the pins on my new processor, and successfully installed it on my computer! I picked up my computer at 5PM, all systems go. All in all, my trip to Baltimore PC repair saved my skin. It's been over a week with the new processor still works perfectly, with no problematic signs whatsoever. I highly recommend this repair shop!

I was in trouble when my drive crashed on my laptop, but John handled me just as he says, "same day turn around". It was good communication and great service. In addition, I remembered I had two old hard drives from 2002. A 8.0 GB and a 10 GB. He had to do some magic, but he was able to recover all the information on them.
