My dell lap top was having issues with charging. I researched online and found it was a DC jack problem. It wasn't something I could fix myself. After getting ridiculous quotes from the big name computer repair places, I contacted Moses. He ordered the replacement after telling me how much it costs, offered the option of expedited shipping and informed me when the part arrived. I took my laptop to him and was still driving home when he called to inform it was ready for pick-up! He fixed it at half the cost of other repair shops and asked if I was ok with him doing something extra to make sure the replaced part was firmly fixed. In all of this, he was friendly, courteous knowledgeable and affordable. I highly recommend him and will go to him for all my computer needs going forward.

I needed immediate help and repair for one of the computers in our business. One of our offices is in Gaithersburg. I contacted Geeks in Rockville to have someone come to our office. I didn't realize it, but the call was handled out of a call center in Phoenix, Az. Very pleasant gentleman. He asked a lot of questions and assured me that they could schedule an appointment 3 weeks down the road. My feeling was that if I needed help in 3 weeks, I would have called in 3 weeks. Very happy with the service. My laptop battery stopped charging and the entire machine died quickly. Moses diagnosed the root cause on the spot, and proposed to fix it without ordering the new part to save time and money. But the quick fix didn’t work out as planned. And he ordered the parts to fix it for good. He ended up opening the machine twice but only charged for the price of one. Very reasonable price and the service is done at a timely manner. My computer was having a hard time with updates and was shutting down every other other to try to update just to undo update. It was driving me crazy. I was sent information on this at home service that I held on for a few months but finally decided to give him a call. We talked and he said he would be able to fix it. So, after calling around to the big box stores for a repair quote for a laptop that I was a little rough with – I was shocked at the price of a simple diagnostic. I determined the price was not worth it given the cost of the laptop and shopped around until I found Moses. He answered the phone right away – offered to let me drop it off that day – asked me if I wanted to come in and wait for it once I got there – ran a diagnostic on my hard drive – replaced it with a new hard drive – loaded it up with new software – and I was out the door – In 1.5 hours flat! All this for 30% less than the lowest quote I received from Best Buy. I cannot recommend Moses highly enough. Exceptional work and customer service to boot.

Moses did a fantastic job helping me solve an issue I was having with my laptop. It had been getting incredibly overheated as well as the battery draining far too fast for an only two year old laptop, and when I had contacted Dell customer service I was told the issue must be with the battery and that I would need to pay to have it replaced. Moses was available for a same day appointment and in about half an hour as I watched he was able to open up my laptop, diagnose and explain the actual issue as having nothing to do with the battery, and simply apply a bit of gel to one spot and solve the problem for a fraction of the price I would have paid to replace the battery as previously advised (which would have been entirely ineffective). He demonstrated an abundance of knowledge and gave me plenty of information so I could understand what was going on as well as possible future steps if the issue reoccurs, and since then the laptop has been much cooler and the battery life has improved tremendously. Absolutely recommend to anybody that is having an issue with their device!

This guy is AMAZING. I was absolutely desperate. It was the weekend, the rainbow spinning wheel on my MAC had taken over, and I could not get any work done. I had multiple deadlines and to-dos, and I did not feel comfortable leaving my laptop with sensitive information at a standard “overnight service” repair shop. I called “At Home”, and this company came through with flying colors. I was able to schedule a repair with the owner within 1 hour of contacting him, then he agreed to see me the following day - which was a Sunday! I took the Mac to his site, and sat there waiting while he repaired it. The whole process could not have taken longer than an hour. Not only is he an expert, but he communicated the problem so that I got it - no mind-numbing “tech talk.” Although he sells computers, he wasn’t in the market to try to sell me anything. Nevertheless, while I waited for him to finish, I checked out a refurbished desktop he had for sale and he gave me such a GREAT price, I had to get it. I found "At Home Computer Service" on the Internet when looking for local PC repair services. I called the number and Moses answered immediately and he asked me a few questions about my problem which appeared to be a faulty power supply. I asked him if I could come over and drop if off, not expecting that he would drop everything and take a look at the problem immediately. He made a few tests and confirmed that the power supply was bad. Since my PC was a custom build (many shops won"t touch custom builds) the solution of replacing the power supply was not straight forward since my harness was extra long to reach the mother board connection. To order a replacement might have taken weeks since it appeared that the power supply I needed was in China. Moses did some splicing of harness wires of a power supply he had and solved the problem. His service made me feel I was in a small town with a friend I had known for years. He is all about making his customers happy and and his fee was ridiculously low. I can't say enough good things about Moses, he is a special person.

Where should I begin. First of all when I turned in my laptop and noticed an error right away. I tried everything I could to try to resolve the problem. I figured I would give myself time. I tried again later that afternoon and realized I was at a dead end. I searched and found At Home Computer Service. Moses told me I could come that very same day. My desktop died...wouldn't come on. With help of YouTube and other articles I able to diagnose and replace the PSU. But, despite that and spending hours trying to root-cause it, I couldn't get it to boot. I took it to Moses and dropped it off. Even before I made it back home, he called on my cell and said, "turn-around and come back. It's fixed"! Silly me...I had overlooked to plug-in one of the connectors. He and anyone else could have charged me hundreds of dollars. BUT, he didn't! I won't say how much he charged, but suffice it to say, I was delighted to pay whatever he asked. No company gets 190+ 5* reviews unless they are asking people to write a review for a discount (against Google terms) but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. Sure enough, a repair price was quoted that was "discounted" if I gave him a review. Seems like a nice guy but I find this practice to be extremely dishonest so I will go elsewhere. A follow-up after Moses responded. You are a nice guy Moses but the conflict of interest is you giving a discount to customers for posting reviews or paying a 3rd party service to create them for you. Most accounts have only a single review and that is for your business. Even if you are the best businessperson in the world it is statistically impossible to get so many reviews (either good or bad) in such a short period of time. I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt but I called you out once you suggested a discount for a review. You are probably good at what you do, no reason to fluff the review numbers.

Had a Incredible experience getting my laptop repaired with Moses. He was responsive to my inquiry for the very start, kept me up to date, and returned my laptop to me fully repaired in tip-top shape. When I woke up one day after falling asleep while using my laptop on the couch and discovered the screen had been disattached from the body I figured I needed an entirely new laptop or would pay heavily for the repair. Best Buy wanted $80 before they would even give me a quote and this would not be applied to any of the part that needed to be repaired. Moses repaired my laptop for cheaper than it would have cost for Best Buy to even give me a quote and the experience with Moses was exponentially better that I would have received at Best Buy. I will be recommending Moses for laptop repairs to everyone I know and will continue using his business for my laptop needs in the future. A truly 5 star experience.
