Great store with super-helpful staff!

Nolan Taylor

Great mac Genius staff.

lane E

nice store, kind of tricky to check out? not clear where to go or who to talk to to check out. stood in front of an employee at the front waiting to be checked out until a lady went in front of me and he checked her out first. Still a nice store though!!

Alan Burdine

The place to buy and with very knowledgeable people there.

Recommended reservations for appointment to have technical support

Monia

I got help, but the appointment system was crazy. They said it will be a 5 hour wait then they changed it 2 times. The technician was very nice and helpful.

Went to get my new battery for my iPhone, arrived at 6:30 for my appointment, waited 45 minutes before my appointment started. I was promised 2-3 hour window for the work to be competed prior to arriving, however once at the store i was told I would need to leave my phone overnight. Unfortunately my job requires a phone at all times so there was no way I not have a phone for the first part of my work day. Plus the battery would cost $30 plus if Apple cracked my screen I would be required to pay $120 to fit it. I love Apple products but very unhappy with this experience!!!

Ryan Hunter

Fast check out, great customer service

Always crowded but good service

Dan, who greeted me at the line in front of the store, gave exceptional customer service and set a high bar for customer experience once inside the store. I was assigned to a table where Miss Vargas helped customers on the left and was very attentive to them. The guy on the right side of the table had such poor customer service skills that I wished I was being served by Miss Vargas. The guy, who's name I did not get, was more concerned about wanting to be a Runner, that he did not even say hello to me and did not thank me for being patient in the busy store. He was overall unfriendly and rude. His body language was horrible. As I stood in front of him for 10 long minutes, he proceeded to turn his body toward the customers of Miss Vargas's line. He made me feel invisible and an invaluable customer of the Apple brand. If he had given me an update or acknowledged my presence, the experience might have been better. Finally, he left to perform some other duty and I was helped by Miss Vargas. She greeted me, asked how I was doing, and made eye contact as she began my transaction. She informed me of my waiting time to receive my product, which was just 2 minutes. Due to that one guy, I will not recommend this store to anyone. Customers should go elsewhere.

Packed like sardines, but an aesthetically pleasing place

Marcus Lasarko, Sr.

This place is lame, horrible wait times and poor serivce. I dread having to ever go here but it's a necessary evil.

Michele Lowry

I would give zero stars if possible. All they are interested in is getting you to buy an over priced phone before they even try to fix the issue of your phone . The iOS software should come with a warning label that it could crash your phone like it did mine and make it worthless

Heather Stein

I came in today in hopes to get my battery replaced on my 2011 air. I checked in and was helped within 5 minutes. I don't remember the woman who initially helped me but she was super friendly keeping me occupied while I waited for my "genius". My genius, Lindsay, was so so nice!! I overheard there were only 2 geniuses on staff today (which is stupid. Its a weekend there should be more). I knew she had to be overwhelmed even though she didn't show it! I love the customer service aspect of this store. I'm not going to take a star away like so many of the commenters below just because the store is busy. Thats not something the store can control. I gave 4 stars because I am disappointed I couldn't get a new battery for my computer. Yes, my computer is 9 years old but it runs great, the only issue of course being my battery life, which is expected... again, its been 9 years. Unfortunately, Apple no longer carries the battery I need and they couldn't even run diagnostics on my computer because it is "outdated". Lindsay really tried multiple ways to allow the system to diagnose but it just wouldn't. I am overall disappointed apple knew they didn't carry my part in stock but still had me come in and waste my (and their) time. I should have been notified saying they wouldn't be able to fix it and then provided the list of trusted repairers via email. I wasted my time today going there and leaving without a repair. I do not agree with the way apple (as a company) forces you to buy the "latest thing". Personal values aside, I wanted to give praise to the staff because they work hard and deserve recognition for faithfully providing excellent customer service.

Bryan King

Service was awful. I signed in when I got there and then stood around waiting while sales associates who weren't helping others wiped down iPads. I went back over to the sign in woman to ask how much longer it would be. I was told I was next. I went back over to the assigned table and waited some more. Finally the sign in woman noticed I was still waiting and got one of the associates who wasn't doing anything to help me. All I wanted to do was spend $800 on a new phone for my wife as a Christmas present.

Nur Afmeged

Love this store. All the apple products you can dream about. A bit pricey but well worth it

Wenlan Sima

I went to have my Mac battery replaced, the young white woman who was assigned to help me continuously ignored me and served others who came later. After waiting for more than half an hour, I had to complain to their manager. Totally intolerable and feel deeply disrespected.

Gabe Beach

Staff is always eager to help!

Brandy Hamilton

Horrible experience. First and last time here. No one would help me by restoring my iphone. Then they told me it would be a 2 hour wait for anyone to assist me. Meanwhile 10 people are walking around doing absolutely nothing. Take your money elsewhere.

Pavlo L

Jeff K was great. Thank you for your help. Great

dr.druc4o5

What an amazing woman Deanna K is. Thank you for helping me; I got an A on my exam.

I had an appointment made for a set time and when I got there the staff put down the wrong time and the person that I set it up with left. So I waited around for 2 hours for a time that I thought it was supposed to be at and come to find out I had to wait for another hour so I left and told them I’ll call them when I have the time to schedule an appointment.

Moudy Light

Very bad customer service. Wrong information and rude . Some body gave me wrong information on Sunday about my I pad and when I came back today. They said we can't do anything for this wrong information

Nathera Monroe

I waited for over 30 minutes just to purchase some earbuds and never got waited on. The store was not crowded. I was told by the greeter to wait the headphone section. I drove to Best Buy and got everything I needed in less than 10 minutes. I already knew what I was coming for and just needed to make a quick purchase.

Emad

Nice place for daytime visit.

Jean-Paul Courneya

Very busy place for a weekday afternoon. Showed up as a walk in for the genius bar. Wait was a little over an hour. No prob though plenty of food and stores to browse in the meantime. Despite the wait still left the store with mission complete earlier than of I had taken the open appointment so I'm happy for that. Parking at the mall is a bit confusing though...

Lauraanne Borkowicz

Everytime I went I made an appointment and still had to wait either overnight or four hours to get my one small issue fixed. Service here sucks. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Apparently appointments mean nothing. Whole point is to get in and get out most definitely didn’t happen

Tanya Parker

I hate apple products. You always have to make an appt..wait dor hours even tho you have an appt. I wish my kids wanted samsung instead of apple.

Chani Springer

Clean efficient very good sales Very big selection

Jeremy Reichwein

25 minute wait to buy an over-priced phone. So you are telling me I will have to stand here and wait for 25 minutes to give you $900? Now that is customer service. I get that Apple wants to be cutting edge and do things their own way but can we just get a few cash registers for the people who know what they want and just want to buy it and leave? Does it all have to be so cultish? Seriously Apple, you are weird. Not good weird, bad weird.

MrShortybig .

I just brought an apple iPad and it locked I couldn't remember password and went to the store to get some assistance and was turned away because their techs was too busy and there is no available appointment until 2 days later and it's just something I never experienced or expected going to an open store to receive help only to be turned away and the next available store is 1 hour plus away. I don't know who to be upset with. The store or the product

I came into the store with my godfather to purchase a computer. My god dad requested help with his computer from Scott. Scott opened the conversation stating that he can not help him if the issue is extensive, which I understood because they have the Genius Bar and other products to help people. My god dad is a senior 90 years of age and he usually finds really good help because he brags about this location quite often. Scott did not setup an appointment or offer any classes to my dad. The question was referring to an update that popped up in the upper left handed corner. Scott remedied the issue by telling him that if he wants to download it he can or just opt to not download it. It was very dry and he proceeded to help someone else. I was a little disturbed. I watched to see how my God father felt about it and he said that I guess he doesn’t really want to help me. It was the same feeling I got. I approached him again and expressed that he seemed to not care and that we were also looking to purchase a Macbook. I told him that it was obvious that my dad was not clear and asked if they have other services that can give him the attention that he needs. Money was not an issue ... we were coming in to purchase another Macbook in addition to the one he had questions about that he purchased a few months ago. Anyway he aloofly responded, yeah he can get that kind of help and I can get a sales man to help you 15 minutes. He never explained what options it was just clear he didn't want to be bothered which is what I expressed again at the end of the conversation. I asked someone for information on how to write about our experience to the company and because Scott was the General Manager... no one wanted to get involved in what seemed to have become politics. There was an asian guy by the name of David we asked as well and he blatantly said that he doesn't want to get involved and doesn't have to give up his name and promptly walked away... it was weird and rude. I don’t know maybe they were tired and cranky… but it was excuse … there were too many other reps in to the store to do a pass off if you couldn’t deliver. Sometimes guest could take you so use each other to pass off the steam maybe. We weren’t anything like irate customers at all… no yelling just expressing how we felt. We always use this store and spoke about the great customer service. I don't know what is going on but if the Manager is like that I see why the guy felt it was ok to just walk off... oh and get this lol… upon leaving the store David nodded his had back looking at me as if to taunt me lol… Why would you think that that is ok!? You just walked away from me rudely and nod your head head as if you wanted to physically fight standing next to an officer might I add just awful lol I wonder if that was ok because I was a black dude at that point. It was nuts… Anyway we purchased computers in 2008 and 2009 and were coming back to upgrade our vintage computers. I’m not spending my money in a store like…I didn’t let that stop me from using apple. I went to Columbia and the team was great! My god dad started of with his question they sat and answered him then I purchased a MacBook from a team member that conversed with me for about an hour and a half. Terrible apple Towson it was unacceptable on too many levels. It’s ok to spend 2 grand on a MacBook but don’t have a question about the product you’ll see the color melt away to reveal the true colors in no time.

Very responsive and great services of staff.

Busy, but they know there stuff, lots of staff, and a pretty good system. Different staff to help with different issues, so it keeps you moving

Avoid Apple Towson like the plague! I’ve been an Apple user since I bought my first Mac, an iBook G3, back when I started high school. I’ve had the iPhone since the first unsubsidized model, and have owned multiples of every generation up thru my current Black iPhone XS Max, my second XS Max which replaces my 3rd X, which replaced my 8 Plus, so and so forth. I’ve spent easily $250,000 with Apple in the past 17 years or so since I first switched to Mac from HP, and my experience on 7/26 at the Genius Bar has left me broken hearted. Last week I dropped my beloved XS Max onto concrete and shattered my screen. I quickly opened a chat with AppleCare and since I have AppleCare+ I was presented with a few options and initially decided to use the Express Replacement but upon learning they would have to put a $1450 hold on my credit card which I wasn’t comfortable with the AppleCare rep made me an appointment made at the Towson Apple store where I was told I could pay either $29 for a repair or $99 for a replacement just like the express replacement program but without the need for the hold. Upon arriving I was informed that they do not have anything like the Express Replacement in-store, and that I would have to wait for 1.5-2 hours while my screen was replaced. At this point I wasn’t happy, but glass was falling out of my screen and I was tired of cutting myself so I handed over my phone agreeing to the $29 repair. About 10 minutes go by before another employee approached me. The approximately 40 year-old man with a spray tan that can only rival Donald Trump himself (he refused to give me his name or any information other than identifying himself as “the man in charge of the floor”) informed me that because my iPhone was running iOS 13 thru the public beta that they would not be able to do the repair as they couldn’t use their diagnostic tool, but he also refused to do a replacement. He informed me that I could borrow a computer and sit at the bar to revert my phone back to iOS 12. Now, everything I had agreed to and read told me that once the phone was on iOS 13 it could not just be “restored to iOS 12”. So I called the priority AppleCare+ phone number and was connected with tier 2 tech support, who also informed this man that downgrading back to iOS 12 was not supported and informed me that it would actually void my warranty. This man than told me to choose either phone support or “his Genius Bar”. Again, I relented and agreed to the repair as long as he changed the software since I wasn’t comfortable doing that, but before he would do anything he ordered me sign a contract that explicitly stated that neither he nor the store or Apple would be held responsible for any physical or software damage. Who would sign that and let a random guy with no name tinker with your $1,400 phone after being told by an actual Apple Corporate employee that what he’s trying to do not only is unnecessary but dangerous! I was getting so anxious at this point and I didn’t know what to do, so I called my mom to get another opinion on if I should even let this guy try to fix my phone, but as soon as I put the phone to my ear he said “oh god, what are you calling Apple Care again? I already told you, no matter what happens you are not getting a replacement device”, and than he throws my phone back down on the bar, rolls his eyes, and walks away... I was taken aback by this employees complete lack of any customer service skills but also lack of any self control. After talking with my mother for 3 minutes he came back over and said “it’s obvious you’re not actually here for any help and just want to fight so I’m going to have to ask you to leave!” I was in complete shock. I have never, ever been asked to leave anywhere in my life, and to have it happen while I’m in the store trying to have a 3 month old device serviced, and happy to pay for it! Instead, I collected my things from the bar, with tears running down my face from the anxiety attack this employee gave me.. I guess this is Apple in 2019. I went to ATT & bought a Samsung S10+ instead..

Great service and very down-to-earth staff. Really cool and interactive camps for kids this summer.

john sparby

Horrible customer service. ordered online to avoid the long lines and still ended up losing my entire lunch break to some really rude employees that literally went out of their way to be rude to me. When i asked to speak to management, I was told that no one could come speak to me for over 30 min, what a shame and embarrassment for an apple store. STEVE JOBS IS ROLLING OVER IN HIS GRAVE with today's debauchery.

Mark M

This was a tough one. Usually I avoid the Apple Store because of the lines and overall hassle of everything. The wait this time was per the usual. Long and long and long. I kept thinking does anyone here want my money? Then the genius came over and was very professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Really good experience. So how do you reconcile the two experiences? 3 stars, down the middle.

Ryan Pugh

Because of "unknown technical issues" it took two and a half hours after we were called for our scheduled appointment to upgrade my wife's iphone 7 to an 8. The staff seemed to be lacking in knowledge about their own products. Very disappointing.

Faith

HORRIBLE customer service today, I am never going back. It was so bad that I returned the items purchased because I don't want to remember how I was treated when I use the laptop. Long story short, the apple associate was very rude and unprofessional. I asked to speak to the manager, Jesse, and she wasn't any different. I replayed how rude she was when I was walking to my car, and I turned around and returned it. I can't pay all that money and get horrible service

I went to the Apple Store at the Towson Mall on Saturday evening with my godson. The store was fairly busy , but we were able to talk to the store manager. We had planned to buy a new computer for my godson. Before we could ask about the computer purchase, I tried to ask about a message that has been sent to my less than six month old computer telling me to install a new operating program on my computer. The store manager told me that he could not help me with technical questions and that I should go to the App Store to figure out what I needed to do. I am six month short of my 90th birthday and all this technology is difficult for me to navigate. When I bought my computer in July from this same Apple Store, I was given personal attention and specifically told not to install any new programs on my new computer, so I thought my question was kind of legitimate and to the point. If this employee isn't new to his business and his products, he should have been able to answer my question on the spot ? Instead I received a curt brush-off from Scott who happened to also be a manager we learned. There was another employee we asked for help from David a young asian guy who appeared to be nice but said that he did not want to be involved. We asked him his name and he responded, "I don't have to give you my name" and walked off. It was very strange, rude and awkward. We left. I have been a customer of this Apple Store for over 10 years and this kind of treatment did not only not help me but made me wonder where the Apple Company is headed. We did attend the apple store in Columbia and received a much friendlier welcome from John who very excited about the product and service. We addressed our complaint to Chip the manager. He seemed very concerned and gave a us a few platforms to voice our experiences. So thank you Apple Columbia and the computer is working wonderfully! Hellmut Bauer

Great experience all the time. Thanks

Hello Wireless

Horrible! I went with a issue, and rather then helping me they told me to live with this issue as they didn't want to exchange my iPhone x which was acting up and 2 months old.Really? they wasted my 3 hours, change LCD,and same issue ,finally told me it could be software issue..LIVE WITH IT! APPLE PLS CLOSE THIS LOCATION OR TRAIN THEM BETTER. i spent $1200 on phone, not to waste my 3 hrs in the store and finally being told to live with it.

Always busy, no matter what time you go. Waited for an hour last week, and then left. The best way to do business, if you know what you want, is to order online and pickup at the store. The item is usually ready for pickup within about an hour if it's in stock. Then you're in and out in minutes.

phil825 .

Be prepared to wait for-ev-er for help; it’s a 50/50 chance that said help will actually be ... helpful. Good luck!

Harrison Smith

We were greeted when we arrived, tech helped immediately, even when our was busy. Great experience!

Adam Grue

One star for consistency. You can go there and have an amazing experience but there is no consistency. Never know how long wait will be. Not holding it against store for review but the phone support does not let you talk to them and will tell you something completely different than store will. On top of that, pricing. Apple will charge you arm and leg for stuff and barely ever admit faults with their devices. Chaos within the store itself most of the time. If there was more consistent experience within store I could rank higher because I do have great experiences here but I also walk in sometimes and get passed around and end up spending over an hour there on something I thought would take couple minutes.

tara yenrick

Worst customer service. I purchased an iPhone X With a case and I recommend making your Apple purchases through Apple online Retail store. Dealing with this store/location has been awful and I would never purchase another product from them EVER again. So glad my husband did not purchase a MacBook Air he was looking at. I will be giving my future Apple business to their online store.

I B

Another frustrating appointment with this location. Scheduled appointment online for battery replacement (again). Busy is expected on a weekend, but telling a customer to return in 1 hour (reasonable) then telling said customer it will be another 45 mins to wait since they are so busy- not reasonable.

Sequoyah Reynoso

I came here yesterday and saw Dash at the genius bar, who took care of my issue promptly and entirely. I had a bit over an hour and a half wait from the time I walked in to make an appointment, but I was able to study at a free table during that time. Thank you Dash for your help and solidifying my choice to stick with Apple!

Christina Hittel

I was having a terrible day. Macbook suddenly stopped working overnight and they said it was SUPER DEAD. I’m an upperclassman college student with a LOT on my plate. Almost $600 in repair fees and my computer would be gone for a week. There was no way I could afford that. I was super upset because of the stress and started to cry. The manager, Rick Coleman, saw that I was upset and really helped me out with my repairs. He offered to help me out with 50% of my repair fees. Faith in humanity is restored, and I am extremely thankful for you Mr. Coleman!!!

Chrons

I’ve never had a problem here usually there is a lot of people and it’s busy but that’s never surprising I know they try there best to get everyone what they need whether they need help at the Genius Bar or if you need help buying something.

Martin Githuku

It's a nightmare for truck drivers. Find out freight elevator location before arriving

Kendal Riley’s Vlogs

I visited this store on 8/10/19.I recently decided to take advantage of their trade in program and I traded in my IPhone 6s Plus to get credit towards a purchase of the IPhone XR and I’m super satisfied with the customer service here and overall friendliness of this well kept Apple Store here in Towson,MD.They will take time in make sure you are comfortable with everything before you leave the store and that’s how I walked out with a “Fully activated and working IPhone XR” which I’m loving to death wit the new features!

Sarah Genco

They have no costomer service they were very nasty. I was dealing with the mgr. He didn't want to even try to help

Republic of Macadamia

0/5 stars for Apple, 3/5 for "genius" service with long wait time despite scheduled appointment; 1.5 stars overall. Bought 256gb iPad pro July 2017 and it broke down October 2018 with a dark screen without provocation. The staff were not able to revive it with two attempts of forced software update + reboot. They told me my only remaining option is to buy a replacement for $449. I'm sorry but I did not purchase a $800 device just to have it spontaneously die 3 months outside the pitiful 1 year limited warranty window. Apple Care strategy is a blatant insult to the consumers who receive poorly manufactured devices. Will not purchase another Apple device.

SuperCraig Janelli

Holy wow. I’ve never been to an Apple Store in which everyone I spoke with was super rude and disrespectful. Avoid this store if you are able to!

Reedy

The people who work here got the job done. I’ll give them the credit they are due. I had a cracked screen and went in to get it replaced. The staff are fine. They were pretty quick and efficient at helping me. My qualms with this specific store are mostly about location. This place was total chaos. Completely packed with people, some of whom were loud and pushy. It’s a crush every time i go in/pass by. The atmosphere is a bit overwhelming, but if you need to come here, you’ll get the help you need.

Ashley Roberts

The wait time at this store is horrible the staff seems to take their time and does not seem sure of anything. Very nosey and crowed. As a lifelong apple supporter I am highly disappointed in my visit today !!

Hillel Glazer

It's a very pretty mall. Very clean. I can't stand malls, find the layout confusing, the placement of stairs unintuitive, and despise their parking garage. I go there for one reason and hate that I must use that location.

Tech Help Portal

If you like apple good, but if you want affordable goods go to ebay

Amy Hall

Very large shopping mall with high-end stores. During our visit it was very crowded but we easily found a parking spot and people were polite. There are a couple of parking garages on site that are free.

Jon Washington

Nice mall with high end stores and ample parking.

Alan Scharf

Gary Levine and David Teischman provided absolutely superb service. They are the reason that we buy Apple products!!

Keri Grap Tartaglia

Fantastic staff! Patient and knowledgeable which is exactly what I needed as I purchased my 1st iPhone (secondary to my main phone which is a galaxy) since the iPhone 4 lol

Whitney Monahan

Went in last week to have my husband screen repaired. They told us it would be a 2.5 hour wait. An employee suggested if we didn’t want to wait, to schedule an appt in advance and then come in. So we scheduled it for the following week. We want in with our appt, and they still said it would be 2 hours. Somehow we ended up waiting 3.5 hours for a screen repair, even with an appointment. I thought the point of setting up an appointment was to avoid a wait that long? Mind you, we had our 1 year old and 3 year old with us since we aren’t local.... you can imagine how waiting around for 3.5 hours went. Very disappointed.

Chris Howell

Place was really crowd had Appointment for 2:40 to get my screen fixed on my iPhone X I was in and out within two hours great customer service

Andrew Vidal

Girlfriend took her laptop in for the keyboard and mouse not working. They acted like everything was great, said it'd be only $10 to fix. They even pointed something out that was wrong and covered by warranty. We were super impressed by the customer service at first. A few days later, we got a notification, not even a call, that something was up. She goes in and they said they saw "liquid residue" and because of that, despite the problems had nothing to do with the liquid residue and there was no damage associated with the residue, they could not fix the other things wrong with the computer. She never once spilled water or anything on her laptop. She goes to pick it up, and when she gets back, the computer wont even turn on. She is in the middle of writing her thesis. She now has lost all of her software. Luckily she had it backed up but now has no where to work. Not only did they not fix the problem, they destroyed the laptop in the meantime.

Idalee DiGregorio

Very easy time getting what i needed. The staff was great and helpful and very efficient.

Charlie Sacco

The only complaint I have is that they did not give me another screen protector under the warranty that kept my screen replacement free.

Brendan O'meally

Anna was extremely helpful when it came to fixing my work ipad!

Cherie Von Haack

Very good service

Doug Winslow

I made several visits here after calling Apple to get iPhone problems repaired. They do not have a discernable line to stand in, and some employees are rude and condescending. After a verbal exchange, their security guard initiated a physical altercation and bent my iPhone after I was asked to leave.

Shuifang Chai

My husband and I have checked in to have our Mac Air battery replaced. After being asked to sit a table and waiting for half an hour, it turned out that a young white woman taking care of other customers next to us should serve us first. She continuously ignored us, and used lame explanation that she didn't know. In the end, we had to ask others for help. It turned out that we just left our Mac there, and the technician would replace the battery later on. The whole process took less than 3 mins, but we waited there much longer for no reason. Totally feel disrespected. Is it because we are Asians!

Claire Conger

Went there with a friend who has an iPhone. We made an appointment with a person who helped him with his iPhone. We had a short wait time but everything worked out great. The people that work there are great.

Alexandru Galetus

I edited my review from two to one star. I wish I could give zero stars because after this ordeal, my phone's 3D touch broke in the hands of Apple technicians that made me wait for 3 hours. The people helping me out were friendly but I waited close to 3 hours for a battery replacement. When I turned in my phone I was told that I'd be waiting about 2 hours for it to get fixed, that's fine since it's a busy day and could obviously see that. However coming back and then being told that I would be waiting an extra 45 mins on top of that is just wasting time and shows that the store hasn't done anything yet to fix the phone. I could go to a third party store and get the battery replaced upwards of 10 minutes since it only requires prying the screen off, removing several screws and popping out a ribbon cable.

ka G

better to go in the store than on the phone. scammers are everywhere now. the guys in the store are very helpful.

Anna Princess

I waited there for almost two hours, and some other people who just came in got there iPhone first. They didn’t even have a appointment( pickup). Then they FINALLY got to me! BUT I clearly said I wanted a 128GB iPhone 7 Plus! They gave me a 32GB. I’m not sure if 128GB sounded like 32GB or its just plain racist!

Daira C.

When you get locked out of your phone, a must!!

Aram H

It is so cool to just hang around Apple products and try them out!

larry wardlow jr

I stood in this store for 30 minuets and watch people come in after me and got serve. I don’t know if it was because I was black or look like I had no money and then when I finally got help he sent me to the wrong guy rudely and he sent me back. I just wanted to buy a iPad Pro I knew what I wanted. I was treated so rudely

Apple needs to do better. It should never be this serious. U make an appointment. And u still ja e to wait 30 minutes for help. Uour products should be better a d should not have these problems. Android for life

Geoff Phillips

Long lines and poor service for my family today. My in-laws went into this store at 2:30 today to get the infamous battery issues resolved on their iPhones. Lines we’re out the door, and reps took their information and took their owns and we’re told it was a 2 or 3 hour wait. The person helping them walked out the door without handing off the process. At 5:00 pm, my family checked in, and were told work wasn’t done. At 7:00 pm, they got phones back. Manager would not make any effort to find our family in the store that had been waiting This store is constantly understaffed and almost impossible to get into. 9 hours of wasted time between 2 people to change a couple defective batteries replaced. Suggestion: support your products (and fix your defects). Hire more people and/or open a new store ... or subcontract out your work.

Amy Pullifrone

Took my son to get Airpods and we were in out within 10 minutes. Fast and easy chechout.

Terrible customer service (esp. some boy named Courtney.) Went to the Genius Bar for an appointment I made a week prior. He had no clue what was wrong and asked three others and although my hardware issue repeated itself before his eyes, he and everyone else claimed to be unaware of issue. I went along with these antics for about 20 minutes while he pretended to take my computer in the back and look for anything out of place (screws were untouched because I have 3M skin over it and it was untouched as well. This is when I kicked into geek-mode and spoke-up using technical vocabulary, descriptions, etc. He literally starred at me for a few seconds THEN claimed he was indeed aware of the issue I was having and that a few other MBP users came in for assistance as well. It's funny how computer "techs" or "geniuses" stop feeding you lies when you know what you're talking about (with proof from the official Apple forums.) Long story short, nothing was resolved and I walked out with a failed "solution" performed by this clueless boy and no alternatives. What is the point of having a 1-year warranty and a proven issue YET APPLE CLAIMED THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. Horrible customer service, horrible wait times, horrible organization as a whole at this location. Other locations I've been to were never so over-crowded with people fighting for seats at Bar and yelling across store for assistance while half of the floor staff stands there looking at you like you're out of place. Apple, you have blind loyalists because you sell them a dream at any costs--customers front the overhead of course. NOT because Apple makes innovative products that aren't riddled with at least one major, one or two minor bugs/design flaws, software issues, etc. Train your staff to know the products and stand by them by allowing the customer some sense of security IN THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNERSHIP--NO LESS. I would give zero--that's how much Apple cared about my $2600 problem. My first and last :)

James Carl II

Nice ,but as you can guess from being in the Towson area it's not cheap.

Bobbi Sommerman

I spoke with Apple support who gave me a case number and told me to walk into any Apple store and because i was just replacing the battery i did not need an appointment. I drove 45 minutes to the store with a screaming infant and paid for parking only to find out by the employee that i could not be seen. I explained that i spoke with Apple and had a case number and they said i did not need an appointment all he said was he didn’t know what to tell me i do need an appointment. This was a waste of my time. Apple you need to get it together and communicate with your stores. So my time was wasted, my phone battery still dies within 3 hours, waste of gas and money. Thanks Apple.

Gary Rhea

Very crowded but the line moved fast the apple employee’s keep things very organized I was trying to buy a new iPad it took about 40 minutes. I love the store did not like the wait.

Jennifer Reeder

Not about the store. A big F U to Apple starting with iPhone 7 that I paid $600 Per phone that doesn't have a headphone jack. How much have I spent on splinters in the past 2 years?? About $100 more dollars. They work occasionally. I will never buy another iPhone until there is a headphone jack. They don't care. They've already gotten thousands of dollars from me. F U..

Monch Rod

Nice mall location. Can get busy, busy!

Charlotte Minor

Received information for my IPAD. Was done in a timely manner

Brittny Winter

Horrible customer service. Paid $450 for a set of ear buds. They never had the order ready after I waited an hour and took time away from work on lunch. Now I won’t get them for a week and they wanted to charge me ANOTHER $500 without receiving a refund for the first purchase to even get the ear buds. They didn’t care to resolve the situation at all and just told me I was out of luck and they couldn’t do anything to help and didn’t want to help. In the middle of the one gentleman helping me, he completely ignored me and left to help another customer. I just purchased my iPhone outright and paid a lot of money to be treated like this. I’ve never experienced such horrible service in my life.

Amrit Baral

Terrible place to shop. I went to buy the new iPhone X’s max but was told to wait on queues. I had to spend an hour unnecessarily before a customer representative actually showed up. I saw a lady wanting to buy two laptops in cash but refusing to wait. She was let to go easily. Seriously? Businesses need to value customers. Looks like they earned enough.

Steven Herpel

Location of store was 40 minutes from my home. I was told to arrive approx 25 minutes ahead of time to check and I was told I was too early when I got to the store. I was checked in around 3:00 PM for 3:10 PM appointment. My appointment didn’t start until approx. 3:35 PM. My technician was great, friendly and answered all my questions and gave me some tips to help. All personnel I spoke with were very friendly. Store was very crowded and loud. I did get the results I needed and at no cost to me for my iPad Air. Thanks to the personnel for their help.

Alice Cromwell

Awful Awful...worst experience! I am totally shocked that a well known company is very unorganized. There was not one employee to help you. So many people were sitting around or looking baffled. I was going to purchase a laptop for my daughter but when I looked around and saw this chaotic Towson location, I walked out and said I would never purchase any apple products. I told my family and friends how can a brand name company attend to the consumers with this awful customer service. I could not understand why customers that are not making purchases are located in the same space for customers who Really need assistance. These customers were using the computers, charging their phones and having consrvations. This is Apple not Starbucks.

Kim S

Place was packed. But it was really difficult to know where to go to find someone to help us. We finally found someone who pointed us to someone else to check us in. But that person was also helping another customer with something else so we had to wait until she was finished. But then some other people walked right up and got on her list before us - it was just really disorganized.

Kofi Jamal Simmons

The two people who helped me were great and I was able to get my needs meet, special shout out to Marta (I believe that's her name) who was the best. However I spent several minutes waiting for someone to assist me. With so many people floating around the store, including a security officer, I figured someone would be a point person of some type. It's customer service 101.

Richard Lee

Great people there to help you with whatever you need! My iPhone kept turning off randomly after the first few weeks of being used, and after I took it to them they were able to give me a replacement! Great people over there, and they all know what they're doing.

Karla Hilliard

Horrible set up.. I went on Saturday , I made an appoiment at 2:30, we left at 4:30. It took us 30 minutes after checkin to be seen. Took 1 hour to replace the iPhone battery, they told us to pick it up at 4. Then it took another 30 min just to get it back. I’ve never experienced this when having an appointment at any other location.

Jigga .

Ordered my AirPods at 6:50pm.....stores closes at 9:00pm. Was told that they would be ready in 1 hour. I know it’s cutting pretty close but I never got them within the time frame promised. I went to the store before they closed because I was taking a flight in the early am and really wanted those pods. The staff acted as if I never ordered the pods. Service is terrible.

Cynthia Wilson

Not crowded. Quick Pre-Christmas shopping. Loved it. Lots of stores to choose from.

Subash Pokhrel

Employees are awesome and they are hungry to work.

K. Steph

Glad this is somewhat nearby. Prepare to have to wait for quite some time regardless of your reason for being there. They need to implement better system for getting simpler task started and finished. SO many employees SO shouldn't be an issue. Frustrating to be have your time not be valued.

kuku luku

Black people who works there are so rude and they don't know nothing about devices.

Suzy Banister

With so many employees, I'm not surprised some customers experience unsatisfactory service. However, I have yet to be disappointed by this Apple Store location. As long as I go in with the mindset that I could be waiting a while to be seen for a repair or inquiry, it really isn't that bad. It's an Apple Store, there are tons of products to play with and look at while waiting and you're allowed to peruse any area of the shop while waiting. You can even leave and come back. Once I tried getting phone help as a walk in at 10am and they said that their next available time would be 5pm so I left and went home to eat lunch and do laundry, got a text that I could be seen as soon as 12pm and used the texting option to push the appointment 30 minutes to allot travel time back to the store. Pretty simple and workable. As for the employees, they've always been nice and helpful. They help me figure out long term solutions to simple issues with my computers and iPhone, and they always have patience if I forgot to backup my device prior to the appointment. I've seen these workers get absolutely berated by customers, but in my experience they have always come through. I think you have to keep an open mind when going to the Apple Store. It's a tech store, they are always looking to upgrade, change, adapt- which in my opinion means sometimes you're going to run into unorthodox customer service methods like how they don't have cash registers. Not everything they try is going to be successful but better to move forward than to stay stagnant.

Helen Stephenson

Needed info on a feature in my phone. Helped quickly, great

Ian Sadon

Poor customer service. Had to wait 7 hours plus just for them to tell me that my screen needs to be replaced and had to wait until tomorrow to get it fix. They told me that it’ll be ready for pick up. Come in the next day to pick up my phone and then they tell me that my phone is out of warranty and that I would have to pay 149$ to get it fix. They’re not considerate for peoples time. It would of been much appreciated if they were to tell me my opinions up front instead of making me wait a day and a half to tell me my apple care wont cover. It makes me think is it even worth having an iPhone if I continue get poor customer services. Especially when it’s been reported that apple intentionally weakings the phone for you to constantly visit the store.

Heather Felmey

Wait time was very long, but Eddie, who helped us was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable. In fact all the staff we dealt with was great.

JSS

Jon B and Jason - both Tech specialist were informative on getting my battery replaced. Download the apple support app and make an appointment. With the battery recall it can take up to 3 hours to get a replacement. using the app to make an appointment- it downloads your phones info and this store will save your battery for 3 days. Thank-you Jon B and Jason for your invaluable help.

G M

Very nice establishment and the staff of very friendly and efficient

Kenneth Vennie

I was very disappointed with the service I received. I was unable to use my tax exemption because they didn't know how apply it to my purchase.

Bechak Ojulu

Very excellent

I never write reviews, but I felt that I had to add this because of my wonderful experience at the Apple store. My laptop had suddenly crashed, and I was very scared that I had just lost a year's worth of work (I had a backup from a year ago). None of the Genius Bar appointments worked for me so I did a walk-in, but I didn't have to wait too long. When I was called up to the Genius Bar, the employee was very patient and assured me that the likelihood that I had lost everything was not as great as I had feared. Sure enough, he was able to extract the files from my laptop before wiping it, so I didn't lose anything. While we were waiting, he made small talk that made me feel more at ease. He explained what he was doing so I understood what was going on, and he even gave me advice on how to optimize the features on my iPhone as we waited for the laptop to restart. He was kind and very helpful. I feel quite grateful that I was able to have him fix my laptop. Thank you, Joe!

Elena Wengert

In my despair, Apple has always been there. Quick, efficient service, even though my Mac had to be sent out but I will never try another suggested retailer again - strictly sticking with the Apple Store.

keith rawlings

The most amazing service by a young lady Alexis, she greeted me and helped me thru a password problem with my phone , was so patient helping me , but helping others. I was so impressed by how she multi tasked helping so many so fast.....she is a huge asset to The Apple Store....hard to find this type of service these days!

K. S.

I had a problem with my MacBook. It kept crashing and restarting itself. I made an appointment to take it in (recommended). Going into the store I was greeted right away and let them know I had an appointment. They looked me up and had me sit at a particular table to wait for a tech. The tech I got was named Phillip. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and patient (all the techs seemed to be). It took some time but he was able to fix my laptop and I'm one very happy customer. If you're about to purchase an Apple item I would highly recommend buying the extended warranty. I did and it covered everything needed to repair my laptop, which would have cost more than the warranty (you'll save money on the long run trust me). I only have 4 stars rating because this location is extremely busy and noisy, which gave me a horrible headache after having to be in there more than an hour. If I had brought some noise canceling earphones/earbuds it would not have been so bad. But if you're sensitive to loud noise like I am, I would recommend either getting an earlier appointment or bring some earbuds. Besides that I would still recommend this location because the customer service is amazing.

Mz. Nikole

Staff was extremely helpful! Made an immediate in-store appointment for me within an hour to resolve my issue.

Aron Finkelstein

I have gone to this store several times and have purchased Iphones for myself and my wife, one of the new Mac laptops for my daughter and at least 3 ipads. We have never had a "good experience" because of the crowding and disorganized feel to their system but we like the product and went for convenience. I will not be making any future large purchases there again if I can help it. My Ipad screen cracked and I brought it back to figure out what to do. The intake employee put me in a line that she said would be approximately 2 hours long. When I checked in after waiting one and a half hours, another intake employee told me the line had increased by another hour. I explained that I would never have waited that long as I had a commitment and she said let me introduce you to this other guy who can help you. The other guy cut me off with an attitude after I said one word and explained to me how it works. When I told him that I would never have waited this long and that I had a prior engagement he said "okay we can just cancel your appointment." Zero understanding of my situation. Zero apology. Zero attempt to resolve the situation. They just did not care about customer service. Unbelievable. I escalated the issue to the manager. While I found the manager to be more sympathetic to my situation, She provided no resolution other then to reschedule and have me come back on another day. So I rescheduled. I will update this post AFTER my next appointment. Overall just bad experience with some employees being rude and condescending and no one respecting my time or patronage.

Marcy Hendricks

Horrible experience. Made an appointment online giving specific info. Came all the way to store only to tell me I should have bought your iCloud storage and giving me a business card for a different company. You were probably hoping I would buy something in your store before you failed to help me. Super shady. Never coming back here again.

Ulugbek Kurambayev

I have been promised by store manager to make an exception and fix my 2k macbook pro laptop screen after I had dead pixel only after a year. But not they just dodging me and trying to ignore.

Chodie Doinks

This store is very busy. My sister and I got there 10 minutes before open and they already had a line of people waiting on Sunday AM (I thought a new iPhone was getting released at first lol) We scheduled an appointment for my sister's laptop at 11:20 and got some help around 10 minutes after the scheduled time. I'm here to give Emily my 5 stars, she was one of the nicest employees in the whole store. We got taken care of and we felt very comfortable with her, it was not rushed at all despite the commotion going on in the store. Keep up the great work and positivity, Emily, and thank you again for your help today!

PIERO FELIZZOLA

The WORST OF WORST iphone 7plus got water damage from holding it against a cup and they would not honer there garentee.......so if Google says its water resistant that's a lie apple small print says no......iphone is not what it was when Steve Jobs was around......

Christopher Davis

Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff.

Jill Smart

Great store with tons of employees to help so wait was non existent when we arrived. We were able to purchase a new phone, transfer everything over and walk out with in 40 min.

Keith Hupka

Staff chose to ignore me for roughly 5 minutes until they heard me talking to my wife about the crummy service. A "team leader" finally came over and was quite rude. She was asking me questions and then talking over me when I was trying to answer her. God help you if this is the only place you can go fpr Apple products.

Dog/*

So I am an apple fanboy and every time I go to the apple store I get happy (Google Cut out) when I go even though their prices are not the best, I still love going there and they have some cool stuff that some stores don’t have. I would recommend going here if you are a tech geek like me

Melvin Garrison

They helped me out

adam hoover

Reasonable but I enthusiastic assistance.

Gregory Keihl

Great service and products as expected. Other retailers can learn from apple.

Gurpreet Kaur

Very Bad and Poor Service! Who ever stops at the store is not coming with attention to change the device. If you cant help it out professionally, pls pass it to better Techs who know what they are doing. Super negative for you!! Pls don't Stop At Towson Town Center Apple store, They still need lot of training with how to deal with customers and with product itself.

Magic Mike

MUCH better, friendlier, quicker and effextive than the Annapolis location, hands down.

Robin Kaestner

Had an appointment and they helped me for over an hour! Great service and really nice clean store

Blu Skyz

Cool products but the wait for svc is unreal

Michael H

Dont support apple. They're known for ripping people off when it comes to warrenty and repairs

max none

Apple stores are what drove me to get a Samsung. I'm not sure what to do if anything goes wrong with my phone now, but it can't be worse than an Apple store in a mall on a weekend. It's not the store's fault; everyone has iPhones, so there's a lot of demand. But this place is a mad house.

Steven Harris

Everybody is willing to lend a hand to make sure everyone is satisfied

THEY ACCIDENTALLY RECYCLED MY MAC MINI INSTEAD OF REPAIRING IT. Please, everyone, be forewarned by my experience, back up all your info, pics, etc. on your tablet, laptop or PHONE before taking it ANYWHERE for a repair. The reason for my “2-star” is because the tech I used was really good, understood my problem, diagnosed the Mini the same as I did (a failed hard drive) and the manager ended up giving me a brand new Mac Mini at the end of this experience. I won't slight them for not putting in the effort and, generally, resolving the issue. The tech even offered a solid-state HD option with a place down the street. I took it there but they said my machine was not “vintage” and they would put in the same hard drive as what Apple would put in (but for more $$$). They recommended me back to the Apple store. No biggie, good to know. Back to the same Apple store the same day. I checked in and dropped off Mini for repair. I asked if I get a receipt, they told me “no” ... but showed me on screen that it was “in their system.” They had to order my part and it would take 3-5 days for the repairs. 2 days later I receive an email saying my part is in and to bring in my Mini. I called them and told them that they already had the machine. They then confirmed with me that they had my machine. The day after that I get a PERSONAL call this time from the Apple store again saying my part is in and to bring in my Mini. Another call to this Apple store and I could not get an immediate answer. Later that evening the manager on duty called and apologized for the length of time it took for her to get back to me. She said she pulled the security tapes and saw that I had brought the Mini in when I said I did, handed it over to an Apple employee and it DID get into their system for repairs. But, by what she said, the person who brought my Mini into the back area for repairs was holding someone else's device that was supposed to be recycled. Long-and-short-of-it, you probably guessed it, hands got crossed and my Mini was pitched into the recycling pile, most likely, before I hit the door on the way out. The manager confirmed that she was able to see on video the person who brought my machine to the back area do just that. They must have cameras back there too. Again, more apologies by the Apple manager. They ended up giving me a new FREE Mac Mini comparable to what I had + a $50 gift card. Now I have to start loading everything back onto the new Mini. It was just all the leg work that I had to do to prove that I brought in my Mini that was the pain. Once telling me they had it, a second time they weren’t sure, a third fessing up that it had accidentally been recycled. Without a manager who took the time to review security tapes, confirm what I was saying and be honest about it, I most likely would have been up-the-creek. Use my example WHEREVER you go for your repairs. Back up things, put them on the Cloud ... do what it takes. Otherwise, your tablet, laptop, or PHONE that is going in for repairs could be pitched into the recycling pile before you get out of the store.

Robb Will

It is overly crowded and eveb tho they have plenty associates working there, was told would need to schedule a time and come back though I dont live close. We at first felt like the associate didnt want to bother with us. So qw went and asked for a Manager. She went out of her way to help us while we were there. She was able to resolve our issue, and even though very busy we gotvoutvof there in a little over 2 hours.

D A

Friendly staff. I highly recommend making appointments because it can get really busy here.

Cathy Barber

First experience with zac and the female manager was AMAZING!!! Second experience with "Scott" was horrible !! I had no idea Apple supported combative, argumentative, disrespectful and unproffesional behavior!! I am ending my contract 4 months early!!! Great job!!

Donnie Ramsey

Amazing Mall multi-level with live birds flying throughout it. Had a great time and spent over 5 hours there with my kids

Vincent Lidie

I had a terrible customer service today. I was given incorrect information by someone at check in. I asked to speak with a manager and someone named Josh came out to help me. Josh was not only unable to help me but he insisted on talking down to me, accepting no responsibility for a mistake the store clearly made. He was so insistent on speaking down to me that he eventually dismissed himself from talking to me by telling me that he had nothing else to discuss with me and just to make sure he had a last jab at me he sarcastically told me that he hoped my day would improve (Keep in mind this Apple Store and Josh were the only things making my day less than). I have been loyal to this Apple Store since it first opened. the level of blatant disregard for my situation or the problem I'm having with my apple device is deplorable. Josh needs to understand that even if a store is as busy as the Apple Store it never warrants him the ability to treat a customer the way he treated me. I'm so turned off by my entire experience with Josh and apple that I have to reconsider my relationship with this brand. Everyone is fantastic the second you walk in saying there is something you want to purchase, but beware if you have any issues with the device or the lack of service in the store because these once smiling apple employees will turn on you and treat you like dirt. This is coming from someone with over 10years in customer service retail. I know that there are things you can not control but you can always control how you treat and speak to your customer.

Jonathan Brice

Excellent experience

Mark Henderson

Scheduled an appointment with the Genius Bar. My daughters screen stopped working. The guy runs some supposed test and says the screen needs to be replaced. "$150" for a iPhone 7.. I said no thanks I'll just get her a new phone. So I order a new phone from Verizon. We are having issues starting service with the new phone because we couldn't turn the phone off. The Verizon rep tells me to do a "hard reset" ... The phone restarts .. screen comes on.. ?? Genuis Bar?? I would have thought they would have tried that before trying to charge me $150. Ridiculous..

Oscar Morris

Great customer service but the wait for someone to get to you is way too long. I had already decided on the model and colour before I got there but it took 50 minutes for someone to attend to me and 10 minutes to get the device and 5 minutes to bill. That's more than a hour which should have taken me no more 5 min in total. If it was during a launch of a new product it would have been acceptable, this was not

Alex Cronin-Scott

Great service, Chris the tech and Diana the manager were amazing to dea lwith.

Pray Live Network

Devin was a great help when made a purchase and I will return to the store. He knows the key to increase a loyal customer service base.

Rob Zerhusen

Ive only had to use the Genius Bar once throughout the years but had a great experience nonetheless. After the first “genius” booked me an appointment time for the same day because the display on my 4 month old iPhone X had taken a dump the previous day, he messed up the appointment time and when I came back to the store 2 hours later I wasn’t even in the system. So now a new “genius” did everything he could to get me a seat at the bar as quickly as possible. I was literally only there for about 30 minutes and because the display could not be repaired/replaced they had me unwrap the plastic on a brand new iPhone X (New China smell included). Footnote: In no way was the term “genius” used in a sarcastic manner during the making of this review...

Susan Immelt

I had a good experience at the apple store in Towson. I went in on Wednesday and requested an appointment. I was told it was a three hour wait. I was encouragd to call in or use online help. I’ve trued phone and online help and it just doesn’t fit me. Then i was told to try coming in early before the store opened and I would probably get an appointment in about twenty minutes. Since I am retired, this seemed like a good plan. I tried the online help when I got home, and as expected, i put in all the info I was asked for. No one responded for hours and then they asked me for the same info all over again. So, this morning, I got to the store at 9:50. And was called for appt at 10:10. EMILY was my genius at the genius bar. I told her I didn’t need a genius. I’m just not too savvy. She talked me through the questions I had and explained in a way that made sense to me. At the same time, she was helping two other customers. I liked this, because it took the pressure off me. It took me some time to try out the things she explained and i didn't feel hurried. When we were done, I found it was sll free and i was very satisfied. I hope everything is all set, but if not, i know what to do. Kudos to person who told me to come early, and kudos to Emily, who got me straightened out!

Starbound Be Mack

How can you not like a apple store .. is it crowded? Uh yes.. is the service great ? Yep .but that should be well expected. This is a great location

Diko D

If only there were a -5 star option.. I was there for an hour last night trying to figure out my apple id passcode so that my screen could get repaired. When we finally unlocked my phone i left it to get my screen replaced, mind you it was working fine when I left it other than the glitches. I sign and he says My mom can pick it up at 11 am. Shes there right now and theyre saying she cant pick it up. and finally they let her and they say my phone isnt working but they fixed it. How does that work? Now I have to get a new phone, waste of my time. Just terrible customer service. never again.

Keystal Nieves

Great service they found what I was looking for and for a great price

Ken Gauvey

I’ve been standing here for 30 minutes after checking in to buy a $3k iMac. Literally waiting to tell someone that I want this, have them grab it, pay for it, and walk out. Not a single person has even attempted to ask what I’m looking for since checking in. Complete waste of my time. This is not a retail store. It’s an extremely poor attempt at a social “experience.”
