I have lived in Georgetown for 18 years, before this store opened.The staff is polite, helpful and knowledgeable. They have gone out of their way to solve problems. I am impressed that the store has hired employees with disabilities. These employees provide the same excellent service I would expect. Apple is an asset to the community and brings in business to nearby merchants and restaurants.

The staff here is amazing. Kevin at the Genius Bar was a pleasure to hang out with while he helped me. The other guys also kept checking on me and invited me to take one of the Garage Band classes as I waited an hour for my Genius Bar appointment. Really great experience today. One note, this store fills up super fast. So get there before the doors open and don’t move.

Until Apple innovated with their unique shops, most in this business are content with dingy and dreary shops to offer unappealing products. Apple shops are design to project a solid image of modernity where you can be connected to the future. The products on display appear limited adopting a minimalist approach to the arrangement to promote circulation. There are sales and support people who are ever ready to help patrons with whatever issues that they have.

Apple is truly driven by high profits!!!!! Those dubious emotional Keynote stories for electronics and innovation every year are all scams, they value profits far greater than human life. Even while they reported for the year of 2018 total revenue at $265.6 billion to officially announcing in 2019 they are joining the Banking and Financial Service Market with its Apple Credit Card their practice is to still scam its devoted customers. My recent store experience was total scam. I reported in 2018 while under warranty many issues with my laptop, one of which was the battery not lasting long, which they even noted on their records and even on my receipt (see picture), however I discovered at my last Apple Store visit they never replaced the battery at all. Even while they could actual see hard proof through their records that I reported battery issues in 2018 while under warranty there I found myself back the Apple Store for the exact same issue in 2019. However, now they are telling me they can replace the battery, but because I am now out of warranty they are going to charge me $200. • I reported battery issues in 2018 under warranty • Apple chose to not replace battery in 2018 while under warranty • I reported battery issues for a second time in 2019 out of warranty • Apple is now requesting a $200 payment in 2019 to replace the battery while out of warranty Apple is trying to scam me for $200, even though they chose to not replace the battery when I reported it while under warranty. The saddest part about this deplorable situation is I’m only asking for Apple to fix their own product I paid nearly 2K for (see picture). It becomes really appalling when understanding this matter is surrounding a $200 battery (that would cost them maybe $3) with a company who reported $62.9 billion dollars in revenue less than a year from now. Apple success appears to be driven by scams exactly like this one. Push a flawed product only to evade the customers paid warranty is a SCAM!

Absolutely reprehensible service. After receiving a product that my damaged product was ready for pickup, I waited for 1.5 hours with no explanation as to what was taking so long. In addition, the employees don’t care in the slightest about product quality or service. They will charge you maximum prices for repairs you aren’t responsible for. Ridiculous.

My God this place was awful. of course it's clean and all that. But I ended up spending two hours on the phone with Verizon customer service because they didn't know how to install a SIM card on the phone I bought, and the employees were pretty much clueless as to how to actually solve any sort of tech problems whatsoever. On top of that, I got a call from Verizon the next day saying that instead of being charged for the iPhone 8 that I bought, they had charged me for 3 iPhone XS Maxes, which I did not buy. I usually don't do reviews online like this, but these guys were SO bad. You'd think that an Apple Store would know how to set up an iPhone.

Very crowded, mostly tourists. I went for a warranty service of my iPhone and I was told I have to pay because of the water damage. I did not recall any water damage to my phone. I refused as the phone was still under warranty. I was in Tyson Apple the next weekend and they happily services my phone without any cost as the service was covered by warranty. The staff at Tyson was way friendly.

I was called Boss by an African American employee ...since I’m not his “boss” why did this Employee refer to me with a term that was used in the “old South” and as a form of servility during Jim Crow? Unless this Employee is calling every customer “Boss” he shouldn’t use it at all. There are words that have no place in today’s society and even less in a professional setting.

Wow. The customer at the Georgetown location has gone downhill. Is Apple investing resources in training their staff.... apathy reigns supreme. I ordered an item using the Apple Store App. Excellent user interface which allowed to follow the order as it was being processed for pickup. 20 min later, I arrived at the store then 2 min after someone came out to hand me the product. Awesome service.

I got an iPhone XS and with in a week it got damaged(screen broke) when I stumbled and it slipped from my hands. I was so disappointed. It's been only a week since I got that phone. I immediately went to the Apple store and they replaced my phone, no questions asked. I walked out of the store with a brand new iPhone XS. The guys in the store are very friendly and am really happy to write this review for them. I definitely recommend this store in particular for any apple products for people in Georgetown

Good location, staff is helpful and kind! Obviously like any Apple store, there will be a wait and they are probably a little behind, particularly during rush hours. Nonetheless, they do their best to see you as promptly as they can. NOTE: this is the only Apple store in DC proper, so I would strongly recommend avoiding walk ins, particularly during the school year when university is in session.

Great place! Interesting how, in such a millennial driven egalitarian environment, the "genius" came to the counter and looked at me and my friend (a female classmate) and asked me, "how can I help you?" I wasn't the person with the appointment, whose name on the appointment reservation was clearly female. But, the presumption was, "tech = guy stuff". I was merely there as a friend. Guess that this younger generation is not so different from those before.

The Genius Bar does not have power supplies for Macs, so they cannot even diagnostic Macs. That is after Apple Phone Tech Support telling not to bring power supplies with you if it is just a software issue.

Hit or miss. Incredibly crowded at times; comfortable at other times. Genius Bar reps are not as professional as they used to be; it seems like the true "Apple geeks" reps have left. You would think sales rep are better, but I've personally experienced being bounced from one to another (which entails being sent to stand at different corners of the store) until I was served. They love talking to each other more than to customers. All in all it's a large store in a central location so you'll probably be able to get the phone or tablet you came for.

Dropped my phone off yesterday for a cracked screen repair. Went back an hour later and picked up my phone and paid $170 for the repair. When I got home the button on the front of my iphone no long works. Now my phone is completely useless and I have to wait 2 more days before I can get an appt to have them fix the button they broke. I'm very disappointed in this service, the lack of quality control, lack of empathy when they make a mistake, and refusal for apple to take responsibility when they make a mistake. If you have repairs done here, make sure you stay in the store and completely test all functionality... because obviously they don't pay much attention to detail and quality.

Took my laptop in for a failing keyboard and trackpad. The woman who looked at it ran some diagnostics and said she thought the problem wouldn't reoccur. Two weeks later, it died again. Brought it back, and a different tech showed me the notes from the first. She had written that I had refused to leave the laptop, which is a straight up lie. This is the vaunted Apple service? I've had better experiences at used car dealers.

Absolutely TERRIBLE management! A sales agent without proper training by Apple messed up my account with Verizon and a simple Iphone purchase. Waited for hours for the managers and the new sales agent to get back to me saying they were not sure if the problem would be resolved. It was only after a while that another sales agent jumped in and was able to fix their mistake at my account. It looks like the sales agent was more knowledgeable than the managers. It is shocking to see that a company like Apple hires unqualified people to manage such important store in Georgetown. I rate zero for the lack of knowlege and customer service from managers at Apple Georgetown.

Consistently tried to make an appointment here for a battery change. Apple only takes appointments 5 days in advance and is always full ever since there battery scandal. I just want to get a simple battery changed. I can’t work directly with the store, only through Apple care.

Worse apple store I’ve ever been to. Manager named Joseph Nicynski was very rude. I just asked for tax exemption and I was paying full price for the phone. He first of all denied giving it at front. Whereas he got no right to do that. Second he was so uncooperative and tired of customers that he just wanted lose customer. Manager was so incompetent and argumentative. He said go to any apple but I am not going to give you tax exempt. Very unprofessional and Uncooperative staff. Don’t go there.

The Genius Bar associate named Derrick was professional, knowledgeable, and committed to helping me successfully transfer my academic files. Even when the situation seemed bleak... he didn’t give up or brush me off. He took great care with my products and concern. I walked in apple with two other woman I held the door for as we walked in a sales person by the name of MILES approached he step to them to ask how may he help after they talked he walked them over to someone, I was waiting for him come ask me so I could explain why I was here as I looked at him he looked away a little show a co-worker and started small talk then his co-workers tilted his head toward me and he looked over and said oh how can I help you, I said to him you saw me here and looked away he said oh I didn't I apologize, I smh and told him I was here to get my phone fixed he looked me in the face and said of I'm sorry you're have to make a appointment for another day we'll booked up, I ask him to speak with simesome else he said of he can help speaking of the whom he was just talking to I said no someone else and I went to the back and was helped by a nice guy name RJ. Not overly impressed as I got a little attitude from the front-of-house staff. A warm welcome would feel different, for sure. And getting a bit mono-syllabic with me just because I repeat a question for clarifying purposes - I don't need that when about to spend a significant amount of money. My experience with Apple Stores back in California was definitely different. Now living in DC, I hope this is not indicative of Apple staff's general demeanor over here.

Omar was very impatient with me and did not even let me finish asking my questions before shutting me down and telling me to call Apple rather than taking up another employee’s time to troubleshoot the problem with me. I’d waited in line to speak with someone and I know their time is valuable but there was no respect or acknowledgement that I had already wasted my time trying to troubleshoot BEFORE I’d come to ask seriously for their help. When I was there, there were maybe two people in line behind me and a handful of un-engaged employees walking about in the store. This is the first review I’ve ever done of anything, that’s how mad I am right now.

Of course, they couldn't fix any of their broken product without us paying absurd amounts of money. I wish I could give zero stars. This is the worst Apple service I have every experienced. I went there to purchase an Ipad Pro (it is the second generation and a new release) the staff didn't know much about the technical specs of the product. At one point while a staff member was trying to show the different cases for the Ipad, he said "I think the pen goes here..." he tried to attached the pen just like it happens with the magnetic edges of Microsoft's Surface Pro, the pen feel off (Ipad Pro doesn't have such feature) and then he said "I guess not...". I asked a few questions, he didn't seem to be on top of things then he said he will send someone else to help me and took my name. I waited for 30 mins. No one turned up. I asked him again, he said I am second in the waiting list blah blah blah. I left the place without buying anything. I AM DISAPPOINTED WITH APPLE. They should better train their staff. What a shame.

LOST ALL PHOTOS AND VIDEOS DESPITE BACKUP TO iCLOUD!! I purchased a new phone and the apple employee did a back up to the cloud before receiving the new phone. Then I had all data transferred to my new phone but 90% of my photos and all videos were missing. And not on the cloud. I have been paying extra for backup of my phone for years and now lose all my photos, including many very special photos.

The last couple times I’ve come here for Genius Bar réservations or to pick up repaired products I have been subject to the most indifferent and underwhelming service. I tried to pick up a repair today before a flight and advised I had 30 minutes. I called ahead to check if this was feasible. I was told by one staff it was plenty of time while other staff continually told me ‘just 5 to 10 more minutes.’ I asked politely and explained my situation. After more than 30 minutes I was forced to leave without my product.

An absolutely horrid experience on a 3 month old iPhone X. The senior manager (Joseph?) was arrogant and obnoxious. They absolutely lack customer service and common sense. Would not give email address to the GM so instead of a private email, they will get a public review. Will be switching to Samsung for phone and watch. Horrible experience.

I tried to by an iPhone XS In Georgetown DC. I was not seen at all so after 20 minutes I just decided to leave. I spoke with 2 persons ; the no1 was the wrong one and he directed me to ”the iphone”-capacity. I told him that I knew exactly what I wanted to buy - so he directed me to a new table. And there the story ends. After 10 minute's waiting I left the store - and googeled a new one. So perhaps tomorrow there is a chance.. Apple Georgetown: not recommended

There is a problem going on in the leadership side of this store. Id actually start firing leaders that are not leaders one by one if they worked for me. Very disappointed for Apple standards at this location will be contacting corporate so these "Leaders" Can change their attitude towards working here and helping each other out. If you don't like the job you have find another there are people that are actually genuine people that care about one another and set good expectations in the workplace when it comes to attitude. Fix something now before you get the confrontation with the boss. Like I said if you don't like the job quit, that bad attitude you bring to work spreads and ruins peoples life both on the consumer and employee side that's why you are given a leadership role to keep things afloat and everyone happy through difficult times. People rely on you when they are having a tough day and you just put more on their plate to deal with. The floor people are great though. Will not return for now.

My MacBook Pro needed a repair and I went to this store to get it done. The problem was simple: there was this light flickering in the touch pad. I was told that I would get my laptop back in a week. This was two weeks ago and I still have no updates on the repair. And every time I call the store for a status, they are as vague with the responses as possible and keep asking me to call back in a few days. I need my laptop to work. It would be nice to know how I could file a formal complaint about that bad service.

I went there to buy an IPhone on the weekend and it took me over an hour to buy it - I even spoke with the sales person and he told me that's how the business is normally during weekends. Not sure how it is after 6pm on weekdays, but my suggestion is for you to do your own research online about the product you wish to buy, if you want to have a real-life experience with the product then go to the Apple store, and buy it online. It'll save you a lot of time!

Took my iPhone 6 here and they told me it cant be fixed after i wasted at least an hour of waiting and diagnose.Took it to outside to non apple phone repair shop and the guy fixed it by just changing my battery in 20 mins!

They’re generally a good group, but tonight one of the “leaders”, Dakota, was just nasty, condescending, and unhelpful. I had two interactions with her and both times were unpleasant. It’s not what she was saying, it’s how she said it and how she just doesn’t come across as a kind and helpful person. I’ve had really good experience at this store for many years, but she messed it up. If this is the kind of leadership she brings, I’m not sure she’s the right fit for the role.

Smarmy pseudo"manager" sold me a printer to get a flat USB a to a cable he told me comes with every printer. He wanted me to carry it out. I started opening the box, he gave in, opened the bod and was startled to find "no cable, we only sell wireless printers". It would be such less waste of time and energy if those who don't know would just be quiet. Perhaps he converted to a sale and the immediate return won't count . Apple "experts" LOL.

I received above and beyond treatment from Brandon the Apple Genius or tech. He Ironed out an issue with my Apple care plan for my 10.5 inch IPad Pro. I’ve been to many other Apple stores and the service I received was soso. Not at this location Props to Brandon for fixing my Apple care problem. The staff here is solution oriented and goes the extra mile even when the store is slammed.

Awesome customer service, you feel welcomed the second you walk in that door, every employee I saw there greeted me or smiled they were super nice. Now apple in the other hand, they’re just a rip off, the second I walked out of that store I made a decision I will never buy a product from APPPLE ever again. Go to the store and try and chill around the tech support for a little bit and see for yourself.

I would actually rate this location a zero if I could. I have had issues with apple phones in the past, so when I got my new one two years ago, I took care to make sure I never cracked the screen and always protected this phone from water damage. After two years the battery stopped working, so I took it to this location for a repair. They took my phone for three hours to perform a battery replacement. When I received my phone after three hours, they told me they found "evidence of liquid damage" and could not do a repair, but gave me the tempting option of paying 300 dollars to get the exact same phone I had kept pristine for the past two years, a phone that has been on the market for over four years at this point. I asked them why they didn't email or call me to tell me that they would not need to keep me waiting for my phone for three hours, they could not give me a good answer, and continuously tried to justify their waste of my time and attempt at scamming me into buying the same old useless iPhone.

Waited for 2 and a half hours only to be told my phone cannot be repaired. Terrible customer care and sales agents with an attitude (and no name tags so no way to identify them). Avoid this Apple Store.

Went in to replace an I phone. Was shuffled to 3 different people and asked several times "the new apple phone?". Clearly they didn't like my answer because they asked me to stand aside and wait, and wait, and then I left. Way to sell those Samsungs!
