REVIEWS OF Apple Columbia IN Maryland

This is now the third time I have had to wait over an hour to purchase a product here. Except this time they made me wait in line to tell me over an hour before they close that yes they have phones in stock but they’re done selling them tonight and to come back tomorrow.

anthony jones

Great place and great service. Very knowledgeable staff.

Tuo Lin

Haha, I came here to ask for technical support for my cellphone. And the technician couldn't fix the issue and asked me to leave the store. You can feel how bad of their attitude are.

Joshua Barnes

Too many people but I don't get why apple is so popular way too many people

Chuck Clark

I’m not a regular Apple customer. I purchased an iPad mini online, didn’t like it and went to the store to return it. Walked in. It was crowded. Looked around for the service or check out counter. Uh... I don’t see any. I ask someone who appears to work there..how do I return something? Did you check in with the guy wearing the hat? Uh...no. So I go to the hat man. Explain why I’m there. He says it’s a :20 wait. I say, nope. I leave and return it by mail. Order online. Save yourself some grief.

Nasim tehrani

These guys are busy but usually pretty helpful. Marian (manager) is amazing. She helped me to replaced my I phone that didn't work with my phone service. Also, Michael was very helpful to make sure I don't wait for the long time.

Demetrius Weatherford

Took forever just to purchase a screen protector

Jonathan Lacson

They’re always busy unless you’re there to drop more money on their products.

Si-Yang Li

Friendly staff. Timely service. Customers should learn to behave themselves more, however.

Aaron P

Had an appointment and Waited for over an hour just for them to run my serial number on my computer and say that it can’t be serviced. Literally a total waste of time

Sam Schmitt

This store is absolutely awesome. Even with the business of the store, they still found a way to help me and satisfy my every need. I see a lot of comments on here complaining about the wait... The only reason there is a wait is because the staff is working hard as possible to help you and resolve your conflict. If you live in Maryland, this is the Apple store for you.

Christina Warden

Eh, I'm personally not an Apple fan ever since they got caught slowing down older phones but my niece wanted to go in so we went in. It was Packed and hot. The staff was fine not super excited but not rude. It was cool that they rang us up in the middle of the store on a tablet, no waiting in line, that was a definite plus!!!

Julio Garcia

Had a horrible day. My Apple phone just completely died on me. Took it T-Mobile and wasted an hour there for them to tell me that I needed to go to an Apple Store. Finally got to a very busy Apple Store and was kindly assisted by Natasha who did a master reset and fixed my phone in all of about 3 seconds.

carmen gross

I had to get a Apple watch

Jisselle Guzman

If I could give them zero stars I would. The staff members did not help whats so ever they instead dialed apple support so I could get someone equally incompetent to give up on the issue and leave it unresolved. At some point they said they would come back and never did and as soon as I asked another teammate they said they would have to put me on the ever growing waitlist again.

Rahman Monzur

Kind of slow and all employees looks like slacker. They should have a better sign in system. Everything looks haphazard here. Apple should be organized right?

lameyci madison

Had a problem with my iPhone 7 and took it in and they kept it and gave me a loaner phone. The loaner phone didn't work before leaving the mall. Went back and the said I need to take it to my carrier to reset sim card. My carrier couldn't reset it because they gave me a locked phone from another carrier. I have not been able to make calls for 3 days. This is unacceptable. Just got off the phone with Apple and they want me to go back into the store and swap out the phone which is a huge inconvenience since the store is 20 minutes away. Worst service ever and unfortunately this is the closest apple store so I have no choice.

Ken Yannacci

Place was a mad house. I was able to pickup an order fairly quickly though.

Elizabeth Brooks

This store has terrible customer service. Trying to call and get in contact with a store representative is impossible. Even the main Apple service center couldn't get a hold of a person at the store. And don't try and get a battery replacement (the $29 one for the iPhone 6). The service center says you don't need an appointment, but when you go into the store, they say you do need an appointment. I would recommend going to a different store or, not buying anything apple ever again. This has been an impossible process. They need to do better... or hire more people. I shouldn't have to spend an hour and more to get an answer.

Sofia Marie

i’d give this place zero stars if i could. they’re money hungry liars that contradict each other because they realize that they’re policy favors the customer :)

Charles K. Summers

I have never left a 1 star review before. Rude, ignorant, abusive, and irritating -- and those are its good points. I told the person at the door why I was there and what I needed. Put on chart -- 10 to 15 minute wait declared. 25 minutes later, I asked. "Front of queue" they replied. 10 minutes later, no response. I cornered another employee to try to get some help. They said "we cannot help with that here" -- I will show you how you can do the very same thing you have done for the last five times because it must be all your fault (my words -- not theirs). They did the same thing -- it didn't work for them any more than it worked for me. Apple still has better than average quality on their products but the whole company is becoming more and more arrogant and giving less and less attention to customers.

Mike Williams

My Iphone x was stuck in a "disable/locked" position for an entire night. After 2-3 hours of chat support and 2-3 hours of phone support, nothing changed except my frustration grew. The agent on the phone said she scheduled me for a 2:: pm appointment at the Columbia store. However, when that time came, she had not. None=the-less, there were two ladies expediting the reservations who solved my dilemma in less than 5 min. I do not know their names, but one was thick and white, the other small and black, both young and extremely patient and competent. They made a bad situation better. If you see them, hug them.

debra payne

Never anyone Available to help. Always long lines

Russell Logan

I dropped my iphone in water and the Apple store refused to even try to fix a "water damaged" phone, and on top of that my "genius" was quite rude about it. So I took my phone to Cyberion at the other end of the mall, and they were able to fix it in 20 minutes for $39. If you need your phone repaired I recommend skipping the Apple store altogether.

Chris Lipsett

Even with an appointment it took their "geniuses" over an hour to get an iPhone 6 ready for battery replacement. It should have taken 5 minutes to drop off the device. It turned into an hour in which we were told to just sit at a table and wait. Other people without appointments were being taken care of and they had no appointments. It was a mess, terrible customer service. Luckily picking up the phone only took 15 minutes. Not a good experience overall, very disappointing.

Mindy Vanover-Moorman

I only encountered one rude employee and honestly I think that was because I stumped her with a question she couldn’t answer and she walked away. The rest were professional and courteous. I say 2 stars because some technicians are not well trained and give false/misleading information on how an issue can and will be handled. The manager (only one according to him) while maintained professionalism , he was her indifferent to any concerns or questions and kept the conversation going in circles . The battery repair 79$ 90 day warranty. When I was not satisfied with the repair (it did not occur as the technician had indicated) he tried to sell me a refurbished phone for 299$ still only a 90day warranty , or a brand new one for 599$.

Khadedra Cozier

Worst apple ever the waits are so long! Sadly it’s the closet Apple to me the next one is in Annapolis they need better customer service with wait times! Not happy

phyllis hestnes

Completely mismanaged. Took me 10 minutes to find someone to pay for a case I had picked out. Would give zero stars if possible.

Steve Briggs

I'm not an Apple guy but I went along with my daughter, who spilled water on her old laptop. We figured it was beyond repair and were correct. That didn't stop the guy at the genius bar from doing everything he could to fix it. We ended up buying a new MacBook and this same young man tried his best to make sure we get the best deal possible.

Irene Judware

I think they charge you too much to fix anything

Jean Israel

I bought a computer on Monday no one bothered to show any features or even go over contacts, mail, etc. When I returned on Tuesday for help the clerk instead of opening the computer and seeing what questions I had she asked if I wanted to return and at that point I agreed- not worth the aggravation. This is a porr way to sell a product. I might add I have had apple products for the past 25 years and always felt I could walk into the Apple store and have what ever issue resolved with little difficulty. Obviously that is no longer true with the store in Columbia, MD

Cara Donels

Hey, I've never been here but your phone number is being spoofed for spam purposes and "you" have left me a ton of messages. I don't know if there's anything you can do, but if you could look into it that would be great.

Douglas Rhodovi

Extremely busy, not too easy to find someone that you can pay for your purchase.

Joseila Bellot

The wait was not bad at all.. I must say for the first time it was a pleasant experience.

Jose Martinez Martinez

I love apple

virgil collington

It’s a Apple store if you have seen one you have seen most of them

Casey McCorkell

Wanted to purchase an adaptor for my phone. I asked one of the associates where it would be located and they pointed to a wall filled with different kinds. I asked if they could show me which kind I needed, however the associate said they could not move from their spot and they could not get anyone to show me which one to purchase. So I left with nothing and went to the one in Towson.

Darrell Fletcher

The last time I was in this store the Store Manager wouldn’t help me because I bought my iPhone 7+ from the Apple Store located in Annapolis Md. I had to drive all the way to Annapolis to have my iPhone 7+ replaced which was covered under the additional insurance I Purchased at the time of the purchase of my IPHONE 7+. When I arrived at the Apple Store in Annapolis Md (45) minutes later after leaving Apple Store in Columbia Md the Manager at the Apple Store in Annapolis Md stated the Manager at the Columbia Md Apple Store could have replaced your phone under your insurance. I haven’t bought an iPhone or any Apple Products since then. After July of 2019, when my insurance coverage it’s over I will be buying new phones elsewhere that’s not an Apple Product. I would have rated Columbia Md Apple Store (0) Zero but I had to rate them (1) one store in order to post this review.

Keno'e Mullings

Want too crowded. Had to visit the genius bar to fix my laptop. We were helped quickly. My genius was respectful and fun and knew exactly what he was doing. In and out in maybe 15 minutes.

Saarah Rushdan

The store was super busy but it I got the help I needed fairly quick and bought a charger. Super sweet sales associate.

Barry Cobb

They did a great job upgrading my phone

Grey Goose

The employees canceled our appointment while we were driving to the store for an hour. They then told my sister that it'll cost more than the phone is worth to fix it after a recent update made it unusable.

Brother Ham

Absolutely horrible. We arrived at the store nearly 2 hours prior to the posted closing time. We were told that they were not taking any more walk in appointments or repair requests, today. We have an issue with one of the phone that apple knows about and have major problems with that model. They would not fix or replace the phone. They would only offer their next available scheduled appointment which is 4 days away. They allegedly didn't have any available appointments in their system until Frday (hard to believe). We are left without an operable phone that we paid nearly $900 for. Apple has issues with the phone that they know about and will not do anything to satisfy their customer. Apple, your customer service is UNACCEPTIBLE (nicely stated). You should be ashamed. What are we to do if an emergency arises, after we've paid nearly $900 ??? Woukd you want you or your family treated the way that you're treating us? That's a rhetorical question that we all will agree on the answer to. Apple store in Columbia mall, YOU SUCK!!!!

michelle moormann

The staff here was extremely helpful and I can’t thank them enough for completely turning my day around! I was having a horribly long and exhausting day with the gloom of knowing that my phone would likely still be in its reboot loop after work. I managed to get to the apple store and the reality of wiping everything from my phone hit like a freight train that was inevitably going to crash. The staff here totally turned my day around when they were not only able to replace my phone, but it was done without costing me nearly half of my paycheck!

Yj Woo

They didn’t give back my SIM card from my old phone when exchanging from old to new phone at the store. I have been communicating with Apple but not cooperative. I have tried to call the store directly but always been rerouted to the technicians who don’t know what to do to keep track of my missing SIM card. I am waiting for their email back now. It has been more than 2 months since no clear explanation was given out.

Avi Ginsberg

Very mixed experiences. Genius Bar staff are great. The rest of the staff are undertrained and frustratingly clueless. The store generally has poor stock availability - it’s advisable to preorder your items online to make sure this store has what you want in stock before making the trip here.

SWAP Radio Show

They were very helpful

Kevin Lowman

Went there because my phone screen randomly went black and wouldn’t light back up, even though I could still receive texts and calls but not answer them. I was told that my display needs to be replaced which costs $149.99. I had done research and concluded that this problem can occur if you don’t update your device to the latest IOS. However, they were convinced that it was my display that needed replacement. They next day when my phone finally powered off, I plugged it in and it booted right up and after updating to the latest IOS it works fine. Seems they were just trying to get a sale and not actually tell me what’s wrong with my device.

Ned Bragg

Apple is always an awesome store to browse, try out products, ...

Robert Alston

Great service. I was in and out quickly with a purchase and a set up.

Tracy Edwards

They were so patient with me and answered all my questions never making me feel rushed. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is I had t wait almost 30 minutes before someone was available to help me. This store is very under staffed for the amount of people there needing help.

valerie anderson

The Staff was excellent

Flaviour Shogole

Staff that's always willing to help. Love this place

Kesha Backus

It was way better then going to towson,i was in an out 1hr tops. Great customer service. Thanks

Brandon Goodwin

The staff is incredibly rude and have little regard for the time of it's customers. The management is rude and just as aloof

Ali Omar

Staff was super helpful and Sana went out of her way to assist me with my issues on my iPhone X. If it wasn’t for her I would have had to wait without a phone. Thank you so much for your service and hospitality. Thank you Apple for quality customer service and quality employees.

Andrew Bickle

Great service nice people

Jason Richardson

Great service. Make sure you make an appointment

Vital Nunna

The manager doesn’t give respect And Very rude behavior with me.

Edward Gendron

iphone 8 less than 2 months old st OP ed working. The store replaced it will a new one!

Joseph Pope

Staff extremely friendly & helpful. Great if you need help with Apple products.

Elika Clark

Highly dissatisfied in a customer service. The lady with a key tattoo on her neck was extremely rude to me today. I wanted to purchase Apple Watch and she threw it at me and seemed annoyed that I was asking to look at it. Needless to say I didn’t make a purchase. There are better apple stores else where.

Dexter Ware

I got what I came for, but the wait was about an hour and a half. I wish Apple would create an express lane for quick purchases if the customer knows exactly what they're looking to buy.

Susan L

I had an appointment for battery change. Waited in line at the door 15 min before talking to a staff. Then waited at the first right table for 10 minutes, but no staff offered help. I went up to the staff at the center front and was told to wait at the left 2nd table. One staff came by who was nice. Promised 2 1/2 hours later to pick up my iPhone but was late for another 20 minutes. After given my phone, I was taken to anther table for help with set up and backup recover. But the staff at the table never came around to help me, instead she walked to a person came after me and helped her. Something was wrong with this Apple Store.

Esra Keskin

They received my MacBook 6 days ago for repairing software and said to me to return in two days. 2 days ago,( the fourth day) I called to apple to check it, and she said to check it and to call back, but she didn’t. Then I came to Columbia Apple Store at 15:00 and it wasn’t repaired, they didn’t allow to do it. They spent my 6 days, if they didn’t do it, they should call me back until afternoon. If I didn’t come to check it, I couldn’t learn it, and I would continue to wait to call me back. This is irresponsibility. And they also lost my charger. And they offered me a used one, when I didn’t accept it, they give me a new one. The service was terrible.

Nancy Herrera

The personnel at this location were very helpful, each individual directed me to the correct person and i was able to resolve my issue. Thank you so much Apple !

Alyse Carter

Typically when you think of an Apple store around the holiday season, a sense of dread and an expectation of waiting in a packed environment come to mind. My family came to the Columbia location and were pleasantly surprised with the fantastic customer service we were greeted with. Camile, who sold us our phones, was lively, attentive and made us feel like the only customers in a rather crowded store. Demetri and Dominique (Dom) were great at getting our new phones set up - answering all our questions and checking up multiple times while juggling other customers. Overall my easiest and most enjoyable experience at an Apple store. Thanks for being fun and energetic during a stressful time of year. Happy Holidays

Antonio Griffin

This place is a joke. To the point where I'm moving away from Apple.

Nicole Delatos

Try to call ahead and make an appointment! Last night I wasn’t looking forward to going into the Apple store because my previous experience there was awful, I was turned away without help so I went to Sprint and upgraded my phone. We pay Sprint hundreds of dollars monthly so our phones, they better work. I walked into Apple and was greeted by a gentleman that told me I had to come back the following day or Saturday due to booked appointments. However, when I went to Sprint right before that they informed me that I could just walk in to Apple and they’d probably give me a new phone. I drove 40 minutes to get to that store with a broken phone, I was not leaving without this being resolved. So I marched to the back and asked for a manager. The manager Terri spent some time with me trouble shooting, and I think the tech’s name that also helped was Michael. In the end the two of them fixed my phone so I left there happy. But had I listened to the greeter I’d still be without a working phone. Anyway, the manager did explain that they were short staffed and their computer system showed no available appointments because of them being short staffed, so I was very appreciative of her for helping me despite them being short staffed. In the end, the next time I have to go to Apple I will be calling ahead and scheduling an appointment, also make sure you know your Apple ID!

EXELENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

John Lawall

I was prepared to purchase a Apple Watch. Could not get anyone to help me. Waited 20 minutes or so. Even left and came back. Still no help. Very disappointed. Great products, service is terrible.

Toyin S. Bello

Excellent location with nice stores along with lots of outside sitting areas

William Camacho

Odd that a store in the mall has a line, but this one did. Team was efficient and polite.

wu kevin

There is a black man service attitude that is too bad. Waiting me ok?

rotarydoc .

Great service, lots cool gadgets!

Kevin O

Always pricey, but cool gadgets for your iPhone. The staff are amazing!

Michael Unis

This is a fantastic location but often over crowded and needs updating. It's surprising it's an official Apple Store given it hasn't been brought up to speed in many years.

MARK ROCKMAN

iPhone malfunctioning. Made appointment 3 days in advance. Arrived 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Delivered device and all necessary documents. Tech was seen more or less as promised. Cure was to replace the intact glass which seems more than a little screwy. Told to go away and come back in 90 minutes. Upon arrival back at the specified time the device was reported to be undergoing "calibration." It still was 20 minutes later when I departed for more profitable time expenditure elsewhere. This retail store was hopping. All the twenty-somethings wearing the corporate logo go-through-the-motions and possess rote memory of corporate policy. I take good care of my electronic devices. The fingerprint reader decided to take a hike. Second bad Apple-owned retail store experience. To be avoided when possible.

Jay Marshall

If you can’t answer simple questions you should not work at a tech store

Emily Sulerud

Lots of employees there to help you when you walk in if you have questions about the products, but good luck getting any immediate service for your product. Appointments are recommended and walking in to have any service done is not going to get you anywhere. Called on a Tuesday and the first available appointment was Friday. They were right when they said walking in would mean a long wait. Got there at 430pm and they said they would text at 700pm for me to come back and talk to someone. Frustrating as hell.

I AM JAZZ THE CEO

Faster then the one in townson soooooo lol @iamjaztheceo

Patsy J. Bland

Great Service and took a free class on Cloud while I waited my turn to have my iPad serviced!

Nilesh Masih

I'm a Android/Google guy but the kids love this place...always hip and happening with, what feels like, everything apple makes on display and available for test driving...lots of staff here to ask questions

Latricia Coston

Crowded, Friendly Service As A Walk In....

Ryan The Wine Guy

Always great help, just always a big wait.

Shaghayegh Sh

They had me wait for 35 minutes for assistance then they told me they are about to close so they can’t help me buy a phone and told me to come back next day. I ended up placing an order online

John Thompson

It's overcrowded and annoying. But it is well staffed. That said I went to pick up a recent purchase and the store was closed because of a battery explosion. Understandable. However, getting the order switched to delivery from pickup was extremely hard, and there should be an immediate mechanism to make this a possibility. A staff member helped me outside of the store, but couldn't do this.

L P

Waited on the phone for an half an hour by the store only to be hung up on, called back and was on hold for over 45 minutes. I just don’t think I’ll show up for my appointment, screw them.

Doug Winslow

I bought a connector for my aunt's telephone here. Computer people aren't all a bunch of shy, reclusive nerds anymore! What happened?!

John S. Galliano

Excellent folks who want to help!

Cole Brengle

Overall is a busy store with people who have no customer service qualities. Went there with sound issues regarding my iPhone I showed up 15 minutes early for my appointment and told simply to leave and come back that they would not check me in till my appt time. When we got to the genius who was trying to fix my problem she had an attitude the entire time as if I was just a nuisance, she talked down to me like I was dumb. I ended up getting a new phone which she said “ I don’t think it’ll fix it but if it doesn’t we’re not giving you another one” just really unprofessional. Only one worker a shorter lady was super sweet and helped me to understand the layout of the store. She was the only nice or helpful person working.

Emily Bartlett

Large selection, helpful staff. This store can get very busy so be mindful when you plan your trip around the holidays and peak weekend hours.

Yamen Safadi

Busy busy store, friendly & helpful staff. Typical Apple store

Sonjé Productions

Can I give half of a star? For the record, I'm still waiting on a call back from the store. *crickets* I had a problem with my computer's track pad not working and I brought it into the store. The first technician Rudy was fantastic, opened up my computer, said "There was no liquid damage and it is probably a spring loose, which happens in this model computer and covered under their quality protection program. It will take 5-7 business days." Then I received a call back about 3 days later from another technician who said that now I did have liquid damage and it would cost be an astronomical flat rate price not the $10 from the Quality Protection Program. I was alarmed because I have never spilled ANYTHING on my computer. I said I need to see pictures because are they sure that is my computer. Anyhow, a whole lot of back and forth with Apple Care and the store with a whole lot of displacement and "new policies" that were implemented in June (how convenient), I still haven't received my pictures they took of my computer with "liquid damage". I ended up taking it to MAC Medics which basically said the same thing the first technician at Columbia said about the spring. They fixed it for 80% less of the flat rate Columbia store was trying to charge me and in my diagnostics report didn't mention any "liquid damage". Go figure!!

Apple's really just falling down in customer support. For a 750 dollar device I would be expecting much, much better support. I brought my phone in since the Towson Apple Center replaced my battery. That night I realized 3D touch was broken on my iPhone. I brought it in to this store as it's closest to me, someone checked out my phone and told me there is hardware damage to it and that they'd replace it free of cost. I decided to come back the day after to get a replacement since I still had to back up my phone. The day after I came back, I was previously told that I should be able to give someone my case number and they'd immediately come out with a refurb phone for me. I came in and had to wait upward of 45 mins before someone realized that they'd forgotten about me. Then, I got the phone. I wouldn't mind this, but it gets worse. 2 weeks after getting a replacement phone because Apple technicians broke it in the first place, the phone is experiencing signs of loop disease. My mic/speaker is completely disabled, I cannot make phone calls nor can I take photos/videos. This is seriously pushing me away from this company- whose products were the reason as to why I made a living. Nowadays I'm wondering if I should just move over to a higher end Android phone, considering the insane headache I've been getting from sticking to this phone. It's just a total shame. They're not the same company that they used to be.

Gregory Jones

After waiting a week to schedule an appointment to address the touch screen failure of an iPad air 2 for a disabled child suddenly not working, we traveled 2 hours to get there. The technical support is non-existent. They had little knowledge of how to address the issue and after a short time of running back to their "expert" they said they couldn't do anything with it, recommending sending it to some third party repair in California (the state). Apparently Apple does not have the capability of servicing their own products and their "stores" are a farce. We wasted days for the appointment and hours of incompetent "repair" work, only to have the needed device still not working and them unable to back up the critical accessibility applications. Don't go there expecting to get anything repaired, this is only a storefront sales point. The technical support is worthless at best and are a disgrace to Apple.

Josh Ketterman

Horrible experience! I had an appointment and people were being taken ahead of me. The techs were extremely rude! I hope to never have to deal with this store again! I will drive to the Georgetown location which is an hour farther before I step foot in this store again!

R. Burns

Helpful. Much better experience than before. I hesitate giving 5 stars only because I have literally been ignored in the past and this experience might be the anomaly....

Sandeep Pinjerla

Service isn’t that quick. Representatives take forever to come to people. Good store with regards to products.

Yaohui Zhu

It's a nice store, quality goods and best service. Dennis gives professional advice and every convenience. I bought a gift to my wife with such impressive service that is a really holiday celebration.

Debbie Austin

Customer service representative kept leaving me alone with my iPad. My husband had gone to the restroom, my husband has dementia, and had not returned to the store after 45 minutes. The representative left me many times and took an hour and a half to partially fix my problem. He seemed to be more interested in helping someone else. Seemed unconcerned that my husband was lost in the mall, and made no attempt to help. All in all, I would say that my experience at the Apple store was very unsatisfactory.

Jac Knust

This Apple store is always busy. There is a reason it is always busy. They supply a superior product and superior service. If you don’t want to wait as long and white cheap junk go by your Microsoft garbage at target

Stephen Robinson

Apple has jumped the shark! They wanted me to wait 35 minutes to buy a replacement air bud No thanks apple

Leonard Elbeyli

Rude, arrogant, disrespectful, and unprofessional two employees I had to deal with today: I ordered 50 items online and selected to pick up at the store. I received an email stating that my orders are ready for pick up. The first employee (he refused to give me his name, but Mary -the manager- knows him very well & I'm sure she will share the info with the corporate) brought 50 items (20 of headsets & 30 of headphone jack adapters) in 5 separate sealed boxes, but could not figure out how to scan them. I told him that he can just scan one package and multiply it because last time they did it exactly like that, and it was so fast and easy. He refused my help, and did not want to ask someone who might know, and started scanning every single item one by one. I would not order it online if I had time to waste time at the store. I reminded him again and told him I didn't have time for his slow scanning process. Then the manager, Mary, came along. She looked like she wanted to help at first, but then started arguing with me about how they do things at the store. I told her that was not my first time at the store, and there is a way to scan them faster. With arrogance, she didn't admit, she didn't say sorry and kept talking with attitude. She was not only unprofessional and rude, but had no idea about the system they were using and kept making up excuses for their system. The entire time I was in the store, neither of them said sorry for the inconvenience. So they scanned 50 items, taking out of their boxes and scanned them one by one. When they were done, I said "I received an email that my order was READY for pick up. And it should've been ready, right?" Mary the manager said I was right and it is how it should've been, while Mr. No-name made a very rude laughing face and disrespected me. There I asked his name, but he would not say it. Mary the manager saw all of this, but said/did nothing. I expected to come into the store, pick up my order, and get out. It should not have taken more than a couple minutes. I was in this store for over 20 minutes trying to pick up my order, which was “ready.” It was a horrible experience, and I will not go there again.

I expect any Apple Store to be crowded and kind of nuts, but I wish they were better at honoring appointments. I made a Genius Bar appointment for my laptop and checked in 10 minutes early. I was instructed to have a seat at the Genius Bar, at which point I proceeded to wait until 45 minutes past my scheduled time before someone helped me. While everything is supposed to look sleek and modern, all the white stuff kind of ends up looking dirty, I guess because of the huge volume of people passing through. I'm not into the whole Apple Store aesthetic but people know what to expect and every Apple Store looks the same so I won't get into that. What I will mention is that after waiting so long after my scheduled appointment, the person helping me told me Apple doesn't stock parts for my machine anymore and I should try an authorized third party repair shop...a few blocks from my house. Why I had to drive 35 minutes and deal with an hour of mind-numbing sensory overload in a crowded store to learn that, I don't know. Apple knows what hardware I'm bringing in. I had to provide that information, along with a description of my issue, in order to make my appointment. Maybe if they streamlined this process they could reduce the number of people who have to come to the store.

Was here last evening at 5.30 pm and all customers were asked to leave the store due to a battery burst in the store and related fumes. Returned at 9 pm and was again informed that all sales and service were suspended due to the accident. Am reminded of the Samsung Note 7 battery bursts and total recall of the entire model. Read about a similar burst accident in an Apple store on 9 Jan. Any recall plans by Apple in the offing ?

Sarah BeBe

Great service and very understand. Its nice to have people that take time to help and explain things to you.

Aileen Geraghty

I went for my first ever class, this, on chords for GarageBand on the iPad. Lauren, our instructor, was wonderful! I am hooked, and will be going back for more classes to this, and to my more local Apple store in Towson!

Emmanuel Price

The staff was just superb. They responded to my needs understanding that I traveled three hour to get there although the were having system problems. Thank you my granddaughter is extremely happy.

Megan Trapnell

I have been to many apple stores, but this one is by far the worst. The manager Link lied to me and was dishonest. I had to contact Apple Support and finally they helped me with my problem and went on to tell me that I didn't have to go through Apple Support in the first place. If you get Link ask for a different manager or come back later!!!

Kristian Lester

I made an appointment online for issues I was experiencing with my iPhone that was still under warranty. I came in around 5:40, phone was checked out and by 6:50 I was headed out with my phone repaired. Service was fast, professional, and overall it was a great experience despite the hectic nature of the Apple store.

VERA ARRINGTON

My first visit and this was the best service I've ever received in such a busy place... I was extremely impressed

Patrick O'Brien Jr.

I was helped by Marcus and he was amazing! I had an issue with my iPad and I was able to walk right up to him and get started with the process of getting it fixed. I walked out with the peace of mind that I would be able to get a solution and he explained everything very clearly. Store was clean and looking great as well. Couldn't have had a better experience! Thanks Marcus!

Lambo Murphy

People were nice wnough but i had an appointment that start fifteen minutes late. Then they told me a pickup time but it took an extra 45 minutes after the designated time.

Phyllis Hestnes

I would add zero stars if possible. Made an appointment 10 days ago for a cracked screen repair. Walked in at my assigned time and was told it would take until the next day to get my phone back. Why did I make an appointment 10 days ago? I could have walked in for that. Unfortunately, my battery had been replaced recently by a third party because it would no longer last more than 3 hours - this was 3 days before Apple started offering reasonably priced battery replacement. Because of that, Apple would not replace my screen. As a matter of fact, they refused to do any work on it and offered no potential solutions until I started asking about them. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! The kicker is that this phone belongs to my teenage daughter. Apple may have just lost a lifelong customer on its Appleverse. She is disgusted with our treatment at the Apple store in Columbia, MD. She now understands why I only buy Android phones for myself.

Tim G

Very slow when it comes down to servicing.

Shayna Callis

“As I parted the desert and Eagles flew Corey was there.......” Lol I did this for the guy Corey (not sure if it was Cory or Corey) forgive me man! But anyways! I’m giving this place 5 stars plus! I am one who avoids malls & let alone the Apple store like the plague because we all know it’s just TOOOO much. But I was referred to them because my phone was all banged up and I didn’t want to buy a new one let alone pay $200+ just for a screen repair. So, I entered the store and was greeted right away by a nice guy (sorry I can’t remember his name!) but I told him I had an appointment at 2:40 and he said to come back a little later around 2:30 because that’s when they can sign me in officially. I said cool and was gonna leave but he said he could bump be to like 2:20? Or so and I said sure. I waited 10 minutes and was greeted by Corey. Btw, that store is so aesthetically pleasing. I have a slight case of OCD and let me tell you, my heart was happy lol. Anyways! He was so open to conversation and made my visit a million times better than I ultimately imagined it being. As he was looking through my settings to see if I had apple care he said “well, the good thing is you won’t yell at me” I said “if I get this phone for $99.00 then I might yell at you in a good way” “he said well, start yelling” and we laughed. I just really want to thank him for making me less anxious in that place and I deff think everyone should ask for him. The service in general was great might I add. I was waiting for my update a few people came up to me to make sure I was waited on and I was really happy about that. Thank you Apple of Columbia and you too corey! You are the coolest!

Jared Edmiston

Went in on a Saturday to purchase a new iPhone. The process was fast, easy, and the guy that was helping us was great. He was knowledgeable and had a sense of humor. How refreshing! Also got to watch an associate give a tutorial on how to make videos on your iPhone. Overall, an A+ experience.

Isela Turcios

I don’t usually review places but this is the worst apple store I have gone to. Let’s start with the fact that the customer service is horrible. I walked in to get help & the first thing that occurred was the employees laughed at my problem. The manager, Amy, was very arrogant and I felt like as soon as I walked in she stereotyped me.

Peter Chang

Staff did not know what the were doing. Constantly had to go to a manager to figure out what to do. Employees were increasingly polite compared to the managers.

Jason Coudriet

I’ve been to this store a few times and left disappointed each visit. There are an adequate number of Apple folks to assist customers, but finding help is a challenge. When you finally receive help for your basic purchase, you feel your interaction is an annoyance to them. Basic customer care etiquette such as eye contact are nonexistent.

Allison

Nice people helping me out, which is great!

Justin Mohammed

Horrible customer service. Had to go out of my way to get assistance and then was treated as if I was bothering the attendant. Will make the venture out to Annapolis Mall.

Abby Springer

Employees have always been helpful in my experiences here. Despite the store always being busy, my appointment times have been honored and the staff are pleasant.

Charles Mullins

Crowded and hectic.

Chais Freeman

With so many customers they do a great job keeping transaction time to a minimum. Highly recommend!

Ian Sweeney

The staff gave me a smile and respect for my problem, but was apparently completely untrained. My grandfather had a Mac-book pro that needed repairs and was under warranty for full coverage. I took it in and they took it back for 30 minutes and came back to tell me that the unit was beyond repair and they could replace it for $250 co-pay or I could buy a newer model for 50% off. I have heard of apple telling this to customers when it is not the case so I left and opened up the system to see what I could find. What I did find is that the system was either not opened or was opened and it was decided that I would not check their findings. The power cable was not connected to the motherboard at all. As soon as this was fixed the system powered on and worked fine. I advised my grandfather not to buy apple products again after this, and he agreed.

Anna Wu

0 star is fair if there is an option. The staff wasn’t helpful, their Genius Bar system is a joke. This is the last apple product I am going to use. The battery wasn’t working anyway and I don’t mind replace it with a different phone. The staff told me the wait time is about 2 hours, and I got a message to tell me they were ready to see me after 20 minutes. So I turned my car back and went to the store, they told me because you didn’t come back in 10 mins, so your appointment is pushed back, it is another 1 hour wait. I explained in your text, you didn’t quote any time nor any of you mentioned a 10 minutes return time. The staff said I can’t see you now anyway. It is an automatic system. You can wait all you want. So I decided to give up. 10 minutes later, I got a text that “we are ready to see you”. It is not funny at all, but somehow I feel I am telling a joke.

Kenneth Aiello

Wife spent multiple hours on the phone with Apple and was told to take phone to the store they could send it to apple for repair. You would think talking multiple hours on the phone with apple was enough but when I got to the store was told that I would need to wait over an hour to talk with someone else before they would be able to send out the phone. In other words, why bother talking to apple in the first place if you have to talk with someone in the store? The hour wait for service (on a good day according to the store employee) should tell you everything you need to know about their product quality.

Brent Kirk

Took in my daughter’s phone for a repair, which was estimated at $59. Since they couldn’t fix it, they gave me a new phone, same model, for the $59! Awesome service!!

Jose Romero

Great Customer Services

mike gupta

Poor service ever, went there because the color of my iphone X was coming off from the sides. The manager of the store completely denied to help me out even though I have apple care. I was ready to pay the deductible but he said it’s not something from there side. Like a $1000 phone’s color is coming off. This is ridiculous.

Jake Ellis

Excellent quick service. Dropped a Mac 5k off for service and they had everything done in 3 business days. Everything was covered under Apple Care.

Myra Mayo

OMG. while all of the employees are very knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous, the wait time for service is outrageous.

C S

All I have to say is terrible customer service, I wouldnt recommend anyone going to this location. I stood around for 10 minutes before I was greeted and the person never smiled or looked me in the face. I told them I had a appointment and then waited another 15 minutes until someone talked to me about my issue with my phone. They told me it would be a hour until my phone was fixed and I told them no problem. So I go back in a hour and they tell me that it will be another hour until my phone is fixed, I then told them that s what you told me last time and they assured me it wouldn't only be another hour. I come back again and they tell me it's almost done. I had to wait another half hour until is was finally done. So in total I waited around for 2 1/2 hrs for my phone to be fixed and that's not adding the 10 minutes and 15 minutes that mom has to wait around to talk to someone and then wait for them to take my phone. Please learn from this and do business some where else. Also I have two phones, a iPhone and Android. I have had no issues with my Android and many problems with my iPhone. Learn from my mistake by going to this location.

Krystal Petitto1

My daughter's iPad was broken- wouldn't charge. It was slightly out of warranty. I was so worried that I would be stuck with trying to figure out where else to get it fixed-rate etc. Management was the best! Even though the store was VERY busy- she took the time to help me out. We walked away with a new iPad and a VERY happy little girl. Thank You so much!

Kwasi Asamoah

Guys there are very serviceable but service charges are higher

This will be one of multiple places I will be logging my complaint. I just wanted to get my battery replaced on my 2 year old iPhone 6s. I had an appointment on 9/7 at 10:35 am, was told at this first appointment that since my phone had been replaced 2 years ago there was a mismatch with the serial # (or something like that) and I needed to come back after 24 hours . I was told they had no appointments available, but to come back around 11am on 9/8 without an appointment. Total time expended on 9/7 ~2 hours. 11am on 9/8, I show back up and am told that I *need* an appointment. Guy checks the serial #, no comments about a mismatch. Next appointment isn't until 4 hours later at 3pm. Ok, fine - I kill 4 hours at/around the mall since I live far enough away that going home and back doesn't make sense. Now it's 3pm, we're back at the Apple store - check in. Check in guy at the genius bar checks the serial # again before we see a technician, no comments about a mismatch. Wait 30 mins for the technician. It's now 3:30pm. Finally see a technician again, he checks the serial # then takes my phone away (after asking if he could) and talks to another person. He's gone a while. He comes back and says the serial # doesn't match. He tells me that its *72* hours for the fix to propagate through their system. They cannot perform a battery replacement yet. No offer to make another appointment. Total time expended on 9/8 ~5 hours. I spent 7 hours waiting around for this battery replacement. Only to be told different information by each person I talked to. To say I am frustrated and disappointed in Apple's service is an understatement. If I had simply been told that it takes 72 hours, I would have just made another appointment for the following weekend. Ideally I would have been told this on 9/7 - hell, even if I had been told this at 11am on 9/8 that would have been fine. But no, I wasn't told this until I had already invested almost 7 hours of my time. At this point, I don't even know if I can trust the third guy's 72 hour statement. I was going to an Apple store for my replacement because I wanted people who were more knowledgable about my phone to be handling it. That was apparently a huge mistake. It seems to be an absolute toss up on whether you get someone who knows what they're doing or not. So much for a 'genius' bar. I can't invest this much time again for a simple battery replacement. I'll likely be just investing in an android product instead of dealing with the hassle with Apple again.

Khadija Dawn Carryl

I have never once had any issues. I completely understand there's a long wait and it's best to have an appointment. It's just the way it is so prepare yourself for that. I mean they are busy. They take care of us with anything we need and even covered my watch one time, all on them. They actually didn't have to but the manager went above and beyond and replaced it at no cost to us. I didn't even have apple care on it anymore. They call us and follow up when needed as well. I just like the staff in there. They are all really nice. If they don't know something they ask someone else. Thanks guys! I know customer service isn't easy and we as clients aren't always understanding nor patient but you're doing good by me.

I have attended two sessions so far this year. The staff and their excellent service is out of this world. Very respectful and knowledgeable of Apple products. Wish the store wasn’t as crowded as it was, but I understand that is do to Apple allowing the customer to become familiar with their products. I was able to allow my children to play games with no hassle. A real plus for us. Apple store is our family’s favorite in Md.

Sylvetta

Almost always busy. Good customer service

Cassandra Bazzano

Don't waste your time here! They kept my iphone 7 which is on recall for cellular issues for a week and sent me an email that my phone was ready for pick up. I picked up the phone and it was not even repaired! It was not mentioned at all in the email that it was not repaired. I have gotten a complete run around and wasted over a week of time due to this place. Total waste. Oh and the email is a do not reply email so I can not even reach this place. Don't bother here.

Nathan Kodak

This has been an interesting story. First, the store is well staffed, but the wait times are still very long. Very discouraging when you have an issue that needs resolved. The phone was CPO from the carrier, but it had an Apple flaw that caused it to fail in 2 days. Apple Care sent me to the store, the store sent it out. I got notified it was back and the store employee told me Apple declined to repair it. Apparently the CPO process voided the Apple warranty? Anyway, the store manager decided to make good on the fact that Apple Care said they would fix it, and did an in store exchange. Very pleased with that staff.

Noel St. Jean

Visited to get service for my new Apple iPad. They have never heard of the problem before, get they were able to research it and fix the problem. The place was very busy. Almost no room to move around in. Selection of cases are small.

robin peter

Unprofessional team They don’t know anything about product When you visit make sure open the box and check everything Today I buy MacBook The guy he showed me different Mac book When I open box at home that was different one I visit again but unprofessional team Finally I return And Visit Best Buy same Mac book more cheaper prices Thanks Best Buy team Best Buy team is very professional team and Columbia apple team is very unprofessional team

Mayski Kot

They tell you to come back in an hour and when you do, they tell you to wait a few minutes which actually add up to another hour.

I was an Android user and decided to purchase an iPhone during the holiday season. I did extensive research via YouTube clips. Then go to the Apple store to see different models. This store is always packed. The service level is hit or miss. Sometimes I got a knowledge rep, and I took the full advantage by asking lots of questions. When I decided to buy an iPhone, I went straight to a rep and got his immediate attention. We waited a little (for them to process the phone). It was not a bad experience. The store offers a variety of classes to get acquainted with the products. We have not tried them yet.

Jess .

There is a lack of words that will do this store justice. Absolutely incredible experience! I have to specifically mention one of the staff there, Job. Because of him, I will only go to this Apple Store for any of my products/device troubleshoot and fixing and will more than likely be a long time Apple customer. From the start of my experience with him, his friendly demeanor and his willingness to conversate while helping me and go ABOVE and BEYOND his line of duty truly made me feel appreciated as a customer when there are hundred of customers flowing through that store a day. I was able to have my issue fixed (broken screen) in a timely manner. The management is absolutely fantastic as well, and has a great staff on their hands that they’ve trained to a tee. They know their technology! Hands down the best customer service experience I’ve ever had. If you need anything Apple wise, go to this store and ask for Job! He is awesome!! *Just a tip; make an appointment before hand so you’re not waiting and be understanding with the situation. These guys really do try their hardest for you. A little patience will go a long way!

Very Bad experience

I was there the other day looking for an iPhone X silicone case, and an employee walked up to me and ask if I need help, then I said I was looking a a silicone case for the iPhone X, she told me that they no longer sell that sized case and she stood there waiting for me to leave that area. The iPhone XS is the same size as the IPhone X, some employees there needs more training and of course there are other employees that knows their facts.

Solomon Murrell

Just picked up my new iPhone 11 Pro Max on Day Two of the release date and was pleased with the customer service that Kevin had provided despite how busy they were. The overall experience was smooth and effortless. He even took cared of the issue when I was given the incorrect Watch (was given a Series 4 instead of the Series 5 by mistake) with no problem. Great employees like him needs to be noticed!

Lisa Barry

Worse than buying a car for wasting your time. Made an appointment one week before for 6:20 p.m. Was told to arrive at 6:05 to sign in. When I arrived, they sent me to a line to sign in, waited a few minutes then was told I would have to come back at 6:15 to sign in. Went back at 6:15 waited in line again to sign in, then was called a few minutes later. Gave details about repairs needed on phone, then was told it would be a 2 hour wait (from 6:30). I asked them if they could text me when it was finished and they said no (that would be a total waste of technology for a real purpose, I guess). I went back at 8:20 foolishly thinking that it would be ready early and was told that they told me originally it would be ready at 8:30. Went back at 8:30 and was told to wait by a table. Waited about 10 minutes, then the girl went to the back room for a few minutes, came out and told me it would be another 10 minutes as they were restoring the phone. So finally at about 8:50 they checked me out. Asked for a discount - ha, no way. So what was the purpose of the appointment when it took practically 3 hours to accomplish replacing the screen on a phone. I wonder how many walk-ins bumped me off the repair schedule. Will never step foot in that store again!

Jarrod Moore

Good service , a little hectic but employees are well versed in customer service

Tim Onserio

This place is awesome. Customer service is superb, I got my problem resolved.

John Freeburger

Extremely helpful and professional. Tech was ready for me on schedule and repairs were spot on!

Peter Rangelov

Online order for pickup was handled quickly and efficiently. I showed up to pick it up and was out in 5 minutes. I never take this for granted after my last (first and last actually) Lowe's order. F Lowe's for sure.

T Gandy

Typical Apple store. Not overly helpful initially but in the end I guess I was satisfied. Unfortunately the reason for the visit was never resolved. A technical glitch related to group facetime
