My daughter and I entered store the evening of 08/15/18 and were ignored by the staff. I tried unsuccessfully to make eye contact with some of them. There was no indication of how to sign in to receive customer service. Finally after about 10 minutes, one employee had a free moment; I approached her and she added us to the queue. We were advised when we reached second place in the queue...the name of customer #1 was called several times but there was no response. I thought for sure the employee would move on to us. Instead, she helped a mam who had just walked in and approached her without adding his name to the queue. That was it for me! While waiting, I had googled the Macbook Pro we intended to buy and saw that it was in stock at Best Buy. After 25-30 minutes of wasted tme at Apple, we left. The Beat Buy staff was attentive from the moment we entered the store. The computer was $100 less. I also applied for credit in order to receive 10% back in gift cards, about $230!! So glad we spent our $2,300 at a store that values its customers. This us the most negative review I have ever written...but Apple Annapolis, you earned it!

I just got an iPhone 4 months ago after being a Galaxy girl for years. after 4 months, my iPhone sizzled and died. I made an appointment and when I got there I was told to wait until I was called. I waited 3 hours before being seen. I was already frustrated by that time and fortunately, the tech that helped me was really nice and attentive. I had to leave my phone and was given a loaner phone. After a week, I was told to pick up my phone. I picked it up on a Friday and it died again on Saturday. I called the store and told them I was in distress and that my phone is used to help me run my business, they told me they could see me on Tuesday the following week. I told them I just left and would not be able to wait until Tuesday and they told me to be a walk in. This scares me considering when I had an appointment I still had to wait three hours to be seen. Apple needs a new strategy to get things running more smoothly and to be able to help more customers in a timely manner. I really wish I had a Samsung at this point and had never switched to Apple.

Customer service is terrible. Apple customer service is terrible. I bought a phone from them 9 months ago and would not help me warranty the phone because one of the pins in the charger port was missing. The phone has a case and only sees apple approved charger cables. Apple said it is physical damage which isn't covered under warranty. Yea because it's my fault my Apple chargers pulled a pin out.... Pretty sure that is a hardware issue within one year.... It saddens me that I have to find my own solution to this rather than Apple replacing the phone within the year. Figures they are a multi billion dollar company and they can't warranty a phone that broke under a year. They are robots that will never be on the side of the customer unless you give them more money. I will never revisit this location. Thank you for wasting my time Apple of Annapolis.

It was definitely crowded at the store, but the guy who helped me did his job perfectly. He was professional, he was nice and despite the stress of having to take care of so many customers at once he thoroughly explained to me why my computer was having trouble and what the best thing to do was. He was extremely patient, although my appointment was only for 15 minutes he stayed with me for over an hour to make sure I understood all my options and to make sure we tried everything possible to save my computer. Turns out my hard drive was failing so there wasn't much we could do, but after reading some of these horrible reviews i was nervous about going - but everything turned out just fine.

I’m not sure why there is so many negative reviews. I made an appointment, Chris helped me and he was super nice, explained everything. I had an estimated hour wait for my repair so I hung out for a bit and watched 2 different people teach classes with amazing patience(which I actually learned a few things). It was done early, I got my stuff all fixed up and left. I had a great experience. ☺️

Today, I went in to the Apple Store because my 6 Month old iPhone 5S was updating and crashed mid way through. I made an appointment at the Annapolis for the Genius Bar, and it took them less than 5 minutes to diagnose the issue. Unfortunately, they were having trouble communicating with my carrier and it made it take about 25-30 Minutes. I want to give a shout out to Briana, she is very knowledgeable and helpful at diagnosing the issue. I will definitely come back if I have any other issues.

Best to set appointment....WiFi slow due to amount of devices online, extremely slow to restore or upload software. Staff should have different shirts, as hard to tell who is staff. Super friendly folks though, had issue with iPhone 6 Plus battery replacement, able to fix and get me on the road. Get faster WiFi...5 star

10-12 minutes at the phone table, and not a single apple employee approached me or spoke to me. I sat a a nearby table and waited another 25 minutes for acknowledgement. Finally I saw 4 employees talking together and asked them how to conduct business in their store. I was told my wait was essentially my own fault: I was sitting at a Genius Bar table, but didn't have an appointment. I just wanted to buy a phone! The unapologetic manager told me I should have been checked in by someone, which is nice in theory, but none of the employees did that. Then I was told my confusion is natural, since they are a different type of store. Different isn't better though: when there are no service counters and every transaction has to come to the customer, NOTHING CAN HAPPEN UNLESS SOMEONE COMES TO THE CUSTOMER. I spent quite a long time waiting for that blessed event, and now, having purchased the phone, I wonder why I did it. I walked into the store happy and anticipating a new phone, and walked out angry and embarrassed for being so dumb as to spend money in this store. To make it even worse, they didn't offer to switch my SIM card for me, nor did they offer a trade in. Just an awful waste of my time.

I’ve been an Apple customer for well over a decade. As a brand new Maryland resident, I walked into this store to purchase my boyfriend an iPad for his birthday. He is not as keen on Apple products as me and I wanted to show them off to him. I waited in the store for 30 minutes to speak to someone. I’m not a shy person and I was clearly waiting for someone to check me in. There were many associates not seeing anyone. Yet, no one approached me. I finally found someone who was finishing up with another customer. He told me he had to check me in, there were 5 people in front of me and it would be another 30 minutes. Well Apple, you just lost my business on that one. Extremely dissatisfied. As another customer put. Some Apple stores work great and others do not. This one does not!

I had an appointment to pick it out my new iPhone XS at 7pm, I get there 6pm an make the line, the service advisor asked me about my visit, I told them I have an appointment, took notes and sent me to follow the last person in the line, when just I was in my turn, another Lady came to take me out of the line and tell me that I have to wait until 7pm because they’re going to check the appointments at 6:30, the worst part was the firsts service advisors never said nothing and make me get the line for 30 min and the other one take me out of the line and tell me that I must have to back to my appointment time, the last lady was so rude, no polite

Every person I dealt with at this store was polite, accommodating and answered all my questions. I was very impressed with the level of service at no cost. There were times when I had to wait, but when I was helped I was happy with the service. I would go back if I had any issues or had a need for more apple products.

I went here with my fiance to get her iPhone fixed. There is one word that describes this place perfectly: chaotic. It's just one big loud room filled with people at different tables. Like a cafeteria. We were greeted and checked in for our appointment right away, then directed to a table in the middle of the room to wait. Meanwhile, other people at the table are talking to staff about repairs, someone is teaching a how-to class for seniors nearby, there are tons of people everywhere talking about the stuff on display, someone is giving an iPad demo over the store's PA system, all over the not-so-quiet background music. All this in a bright white room without so much as carpet floors to deaden the noise. We got there early but we were waiting a while (which was not pleasant given how noisy the store is). I was starting to wonder if they were having trouble finding us. About 10 minutes after our appointment time, someone finally came and looked at her phone. The good thing is the guy told us the repair would only take about an hour and a half. We wandered the mall and got lunch and sure enough, it was ready when we came back and working perfectly. Overall, it was worth it for the fast repair, but we couldn't wait to get out. Apple really needs to rethink the way their stores are designed.

Very busy, chaotic but well organized. We were buying 2 laptops and having a phone repaired and another phone screen protector put on. Traveled through 4 different employees but went smooth and pretty fast. One older gentleman was pushy, trying grab everyone walking in like a car salesman. He was already helping 2 other people and trying to grab us. He wouldn't stop so we walked away. But all the others were extremely kind and helpful.

Honestly the best customer service I have ever received in my lifetime. This is not an exaggeration! I was blown away. Apple offered me an outstanding deal and anyone going to school should take advantage of their education offer you can’t beat it. They new MacBook Pro runs amazing and I didn’t think I would need/use the Touch Bar but now I can’t imagine living without it. Great product, great store and excellent service!

This place is AWFUL. They don't keep appointments. Mine was running 20 minutes behind and then I was advised there was nothing they could do even though I had an Apple support case open. they even refused to look up my case number. It was enough to confirm that the evil empire is all about control, and I certainly wish I hadn't let my kid get this as I told her to get a Samsung which is far more reliable. I actually think this was a good visit as it convinced her I was right about Apple not caring two hoots about their Customers

The Apple Store is the reason Apple shares are down. I went there today to get a new iPhone and stood in the middle of the store for 10 minutes trying to make eye contact with a person to help me. Finally asked what I think is a manager who informed me that she was “just working in accessories,” but that she would take my name to put down on the waiting list for a salesperson. The wait was expected to be FORTY-FIVE MINUTES. You’d think there would be a “take a number” set up when you walk in. I stood there like an idiot for 10 minutes until I finally asked someone. Re the wait, I was told I couldn’t leave the store. If I wasn’t there when they went to look for me, I’d lose my spot in line. I asked, “you can’t text me? I’m really supposed to just sit in this store for 45 min.” Nope. They don’t text. How about I make an appointment and come back later? Nope. They don’t make appointments for sales. I can’t buy online because I won’t get trade-in credit for my existing phone. It’s mind-boggling that Apple can’t figure out a more efficient and consumer-driven means of selling their product. And, I’m sorry but I’m so over the hipster Silicon Valley look of the store. Over it. Anyway, I left without buying anything because I could not wait that long with kids. Pro tip, Apple: you want to boost sales of your products? How about not make people wait an hour to buy something.

Manager said make a new reservation and we’ll have the phone or you won’t be able to make the reservation. “Real time inventory” but why should I believe that. And their system was such that I couldn’t order and pay for the phone so it could be delivered to the store.

Please stay far away from this Apple Store. The customer service is appalling and the level of incompetence is astonishing. Initially, I was patient because I do recognize the volume and service demand. However, after 2 visits I was told my information was no longer in the system and ANOTHER diagnostic was required. And yes, I need to schedule yet ANOTHER appointment. So let me explain. About three weeks ago, my camera stopped functioning. I scheduled a Genius Bar appointment. I arrived on time for the appointment and waited nearly ONE hour before a technician met with me on the blocks. The apple staff did not apologize for the delay. In fact, he threw his co-worker under the bus by stating my arrival wasn't entered into the system. That was a lie because I watched the greeter enter and review with me everything she put into the system. So after waiting an hour, I was required to leave my phone for another hour for a technical review. I could not stay for another hour so it was decided I would return in a few days to wrap this up. Eventually I returned, left the phone for an hour. The techies decided that my camera was beyond repair and I needed to return for a phone replacement. No problem Apple Care covers the replacement - all good right? Well, I was on my way out of town for vacation. I asked if I could handle this upon return from my trip. The response - no problem just swing past when you're ready and we'll swap out the phone. In fact, I was told I could go to any Apple Store and get this resolved immediately as all of the info was in the Apple system. Hmmmmm. Well, I return to the Annapolis Apple Store because they had the history and this is the closest store to where I live - makes sense right? So, here I am today. The greeter tells me, after 40 minutes of waiting, that my info is no longer in the system and I was told erroneously that I could just come in and replace my phone. They did nothing to manage this colossal mess up! Well, I am done with Annapolis, I'm heading back to Montgomery or Columbia Mall where I have never experienced such blatant incompetence. Who in the world manages this store?!? Approach at your own risk!

Will probably never come back to this Apple Store. Was there on Saturday for over an hour to replace a damaged phone, only to be told we don't have your phone in stock. Was told the phone had to be ordered and it would take 2-3 days ok, no problem. Got to the store on Thursday afternoon only to be greeted by AJ and pulled up my wife name on the order and told me she had to come and pick it up. I was never told on Saturday she was the only one that could pick the phone up. Information like this should be disclosed to a family that comes in to replace an order a phone. Spoke to a manager and I was told the same thing. Finally after several minutes of aggravating conversations they called my wife at work to authorize the pickup. This is ridiculous, I know your trying to protect the customer but there has to be other ways to pull up account information or prove who you are to supposed "geniuses".

Went to the store in Annapolis Mall. Looking for the new toothbrush by Colgate and Apple. They looked at me like I was from Mars when I asked about the product. Finally they went online and saw it. Guess what this store does not have any. They don't or were not given any to sell. Columbia yes Towson yes. I guess if they don't train any of their rep's they won't sell any. Oh well I guess I need to make the trip to another store. Big disappoinment.

Very un-helpful and rude staff. The home button came off my iphone 8 plus which is apparently "unheard of", yea right. The button was making a crackling noise out of the box and it's only 2 MONTHS old! The only solution they offered was for me to pay $270 to replace the home screen. No worries Im going to get it fixed but this store offered NO good soultions, which I did find a better one. Worst customer care ever! I will NEVER in my life purchase another apple product. I have an ipad and an apple watch, I was going to get a MAC but that won't happen. It's true what they say about apple products STAY AWAY!! Update: I called Apple Care directly, they completely turned my situation around. They scheduled me an appointment at a different Apple approved location. They new location identified my issues imediatley and processed my repair order. Not only was it FREE, they gave me a loaner phone while they processed my request. They told me upfront that there could be cost associated but they couldn't be sure. Fast forward to now, my phone is back and ready for pick up and guess what, absolutely FREE OF CHARGE!!!

Dropped off 2 phones for a simple battery replacemt. My iPhone 7 display has to be replaced because they messed up the connection cord. So now I need a new screen protector. Turned down their $40 screen protector. The other phone was ruined with all data gone and all they could tell me is the phone would be replaced when they got one in of equal value. It’s a 6S and they can’t replace it with a 6S in their store because they’re “retail” phones. Yet I’m promised a non-refurbished 6S but it has to come from “the factory!” I don’t know who worked on these 2 phones but they’re incompetent. I expected better services from Apple! No wonder the store has an average rating of 3 stars. Beware!!

Very disappointed with Apple’s policies. Spent 1200$ on a new MacBook Air for school. Not even a month went by and the screen cracked. Took it to this store and they tried to get me to buy AppleCare for 250$, which still wouldn’t cover for the screen repair. They told me an additional 99$ deductible would be necessary, so 350$ to repair a screen on a brand new Mac. I’ll be considering more durable computers in the future.

Worst customer service ever. Waited over 10 minutes just for a representative to take my name. After she took my name she informed me that it would be another 8 minutes before I could be seen. Within that time I saw multiple people get helped. After 15 minutes of waiting I decided to leave and informed the representative I was leaving. She had no regards of customer service to say “sorry” or see how they could have kept my business. For Apple to be as popular as it is the customer service that’s given is unacceptable to anyone willing to buy a product. I was ready to purchase a product and I told the representative I was ready to buy and now they’ve lost a customer and my business here in Annapolis Apple store.

My iPhone was giving me an error (56) message, and would not restore at home. I was able to walk in, and set up an appointment at the Genius bar the same day. At my appointment it was discovered that I would need a new phone, and that I was just outside my warranty by two weeks. It would cost $399 to replace my phone, but Palmer at the Genius bar was able to work with his Manager, and help provide a new phone free of charge! Fantastic service, and great integrity move! Thanks Apple, I will be coming back for future purchases!

I am a loyal apple consumer but have never has such poor service. After waiting 30 minutes to buy a phone for my mother we had a completely incompetent sales associate. Two hours later and going on the third attempt to set up the phone with Verizon we left in utter frustration. Next day went to Verizon and the whole transaction was finished in 15 minutes. Damaged my phone... 2 days before I could get an appointment for Friday at 1:45pm...It took forever. I don't understand why when I arrived at 1:20 and asked if I could authorize necessary repairs ($29 screen repair, up to the $99 replacement because I have applecare+) and leave and come back when it was ready, I was told no you may not do that. Then I had to to wait AN HOUR (almost 45 minutes past my appointment time), then be told... It will be $29 screen repair, up to the $99 replacement oh and AN HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTE WAIT. You're kidding me right? Why did I make an appointment? At 3:25pm (remember a 1:45pm appointment time) I didn't have time to sit and wait until it was done, so I had to then return the FOLLOWING day dragging my toddler with me because my appointment time meant nothing!!!!

Bottom line up front - unfriendly staff thy are disorganized and literally could not care less about customer service. Quite possible the worst customer experience in an Apple store ever. Ordered an iPhone X ahead of time and was within my “window” when I finally was able to get an employee to not blow me off. Then once I did get an employee to acknowledge the fact I was there - I was put in a Queue for another 30 minutes with no updates and treatment as though I was wrong in for asking for an update after they “put me in the queue”. What is the purpose of Windows if they do not honor them - really at a loss. In the end I was moved around 3 times to be told that this next employee would be right on it. This store is a mad house with no organization and no focus on customer service. I literally cannot give you the number of employees that blew me off completely. Definitely not the store of choice and will never use them again. Unprofessionalism at its finest. Cannot say enough bad stuff about the staff as their approach to customers. And literally as I write this there are 4 employees sitting around chatting - not with customers. Definitely not what you expect from the Apple brand.

Purchased and IPAD Pro and Apple Pencil from the Annapolis Store. When I got home, realized the sales person sold me the wrong Apple pencil. I live over an hour from the store so I called hoping they could handle an exchange via US Mail. Zero help, insisted I had to drive back to the store to complete an exchange.

Came here to get my battery replaced in my phone. Took about an hour. Battery is brand new. Came here to get my iPad looked at. I have to go back later on in the week for that. The reason for two stars is because the battery in my Apple Watch 2 expanded and broke the watch. Unfortunately Apple won’t fix it and they make you get a refurbished watch once it’s fixed. So if you have a watch that has any sentimental value because it was a gift, don’t expect to get that watch back. This experience alone has caused me to look into other companies and only stick with the remaining Apple products I have. After reaching out to share my feedback Apple shows no care for the customers. No management or any other person has reached out after complaining about this experience.

My desk top computer would not turn on, apparently there was a power outage in our area. I unplugged it and waited a couple of hours and plugged it back in and it would not work. I took it in to the apple store in Annapolis. I was told they could not look at it and I could not leave it. I lugged it back out to the car. I called and tried to set up an appointment, I was told they could not get me in for another week. I took the computer home and plugged it in again and it worked. Very frustrated with the service at the Apple store. I guess it takes time to power back up, seems a tech could have told me that, it would not have taken very long for a tech to assess what was going on with it.

Awful experience. My WiFi suddenly stopped working on my phone. They explained that IT WAS NOTHING I DID - but gave me the option to pay $319. I asked if it happened again what would I do. She suggested instead of getting a regular warranty I should get an extended warranty... So I either buy a new phone even though I purchased this one and did not cause this current issue. Or I’m just stick with a broken phone. Ridiculous, not fair to me.

I’ve had a few good appointments but have also had a couple not so good experiences. I have multiple Apple products and had an issue with my IPhone 10 since day one when the first came out. After ALMOST a year I finally got an exchange because the screen was freaking out. The old apple I remember would of taken care of this maybe after my 3rd visit not the 5 plus

My mother is about to leave for Africa and her phone is not working properly, so we stopped in to have it looked at. When we finally flagged down someone, they directed us to the guy checking people in, who very rudely said it would be four to five hours in a manner that made it very clear he was not interested in helping. There were numerous employees chatting with each other and generally not engaged in any type of customer service. One of the worst customer service experienced of my life. Reminds me why Apple sucks.

However, the problem I've had on many occasions was and is the smell of body odder due to the swarms of people that go in and out of the store on a daily basis.The managers must have taken note though, because the next couple of times I've visited, it is now an open design with no doors, just glass pathways in.

I was told that there are worse things in life than waiting 4 hours to have your screen repaired, with a genius bar appointment. By the way, my phone was damaged by them in the screen repair process, so I was given a replacement. Sent home without a sim card installed. Back to the store. One week later, the replacement phone is intermittent. Sorry!

Horrible customer service. I went there to replace my lost apple watch. No one greeted me for over ten minutes, then a sales associate helped me and then passed me on to someone to set up my watch. Watch wasnt charged and had to wait 20 minutes to charge watch. Then the tech could not get my watch to sync with my phone. After three tries she told me to take it home and call Apple. WHAT????? I am in an Apple Store and waited for over an hour and after a $400 purchase I was to leave and take a product home that wasnt working. I got a refund and will go elsewhere. What is happening with Apple???

Terrible experience. We bought a brand new Macbook pro. One day later it stopped working. The manager at the store did not offer any refunds/services, nor did she offer apple care for our inconveniences. I strongly urge you to go purchase products elsewhere. They replaced our laptop, but it cost us in time. Should I have to take 2 hours off work to get a 1-day old laptop repaired?

Everything about Apple sucks. You call to schedule an appointment and you are put on hold for 20 minutes. You get to the store for your scheduled time and then you are put into a wait que for another forever. Once you get to the Genius Bar the technicians are great. Get your act together please.

I had a very positive experience at this store when I purchased a phone for my wife and I. The Apple experts made the purchase process simple. The store was busy when we arrived but we only waited 10 minutes before we were assisted. There are usually a good number of staff members working so wait times are abbreviated. The associate who helped us answered all of our technical questions regarding the functionality of the phones and explained the financing process and how it all works with our mobile carrier. We were converts from Android and the associate made sure we were squared away when transferring data from our Android phones to our Iphones. I would definitely recommend this store for their service and the level of knowledge the staff members were able to provide.

I visited the Genius Bar at this location six times. I had to wait at least 20 minutes past my appointment time 4 out of the 6 visits. I didn't mind the wait after my first visit. I was assisted by friendly knowledgeable staff, once it was my turn. Each device issue I went in with was either resolved or replaced. I left happy every time!

Worst customer service ever! No greeter had to search for someone to let them know I was scheduled for aooointment for my iPhone. Representative formally got to me after @ 20 min ( I live hour away) and proceeded to help me for 5 min, ran to another customer helped them for 5 min, came back to me it went on and on never getting one on one attention for any length of time. Finally told issue was resolved and I could leave. Got 1/2 way home and realized the diagnostic test that had run on phone was still running?? Called Apple support when I got home spent another hour resolving that. Employees are way too unorganized, dividing their time between several customers ( felt like I was surrounded by frenetic ADHD!! Constant mistakes being made and they are rude if you don’t understand their tech talk. Lady next to me walked out so disgusted! Second time I went there, the rep actually called Apple support and wanted the rep to walk me thru a process on the phone even though I had taken an hour to drive to the brick and mortar store in person?? The phone rep said that was unheard of and asked to speak to supervisor. All in all, I’ll pay for independent computer specialist before I go thru the nightmare of Annapolis Apple store. And will avoid Apple products in future!

Horrible experience. Not the only time. You wait in line to get on the que line and have no idea who will be helping you. Then someone begins to help but is then pulled elsewhere to focus on another customer. Eventually they make their way back and you then discuss what you want. They again disappear and may return quickly or again scoot over to help someone else. The products are good but horrible service. In one case all i wanted were earbuds, which took me 1 1/2 hours to finally purchase. Seems absurd.

DO NOT GO TO THIS APPLE STORE. GO TO ANY OTHER APPLE LOCATION. I have no idea what the hell is going on, but they don't keep appointments they make you set up, the staff is rude and dismissive, and you have to wait HOURS sometimes. Make an appointment at noon? Oh, too bad, wait until 2. Or 3. They don't care. They have to go talk to their coworkers about their personal life while on the clock. Unless you are buying something, they just flat out don't care. It's wild.

Chris (White guy) was helpful in telling me the differences between the different types of computers and helped me pick out the exact one I was looking for. Chris (black guy) helped me to understand the software and set up my Mac before even leaving the store. I went in to upgrade my phone, but they could not accommodate my request even though I paid them all the money they wanted and they had the actual phone in stock! Very rushed, they make you feel like a serial number. At least the long haired guy taking appointments this afternoon was. So in a hurry he forgot about being friendly or even having class about our conversation. I’d suggest to hire more employees or move to another building. 1.5 hour wait is ridiculous for one of America’s biggest companies. Plan better.
