My first experience wasn’t so bad it took a long time but hey I was in no rush. This time I was told that if I paid for the first week it’ll only take 2 weeks. Well two weeks pass and then they correct it and tell me it could take 2-5 weeks. Okay. Now my couch is here but when I called the lady told me that 1 piece had come in. When I asked her if it should of come with 2 pieces she replied I have no idea. It’s definitely supposed to have 2 pieces because it’s a large L shaped couch with a pull out bed in it. So there’s no telling how long I’ll have to wait on the second half because she couldn’t even tell me when it might come in. I’m very upset. I guess I’ll just get half of my couch on Saturday.

walking in I felt very uncomfortable. The staff Looked really lazy and didn't even say a word to me . I walked around for about 10 15 min and no one bothered to ask how I was doing or if I was looking for something. So I walked out and NEVER going back !!!!

My husband just came from there and stopped behind the building in the shade to make a phone call, a man came out and pushed him and told him to get off the property stereotyping him to be the people across the street or a drinker. He has been sober 20 years.! I dare a white person to stand back there and make a phone call and see what happens.

Nice friendly staff, goes above and beyond to help u walk out of their store with what you need even if you are low on cash. Cheaper than "Aaron's" And the nice redheaded sales manager "Samantha" was very friendly and knowledgeable about her job. We will do all our furniture and appliance shopping with "Rent-A-Center from here on out! Did i say cheaper and better than" Aarons"?

We have rented a washer and dryer from this location and we have NEVER been late on a payment. Decided to rent a couch and loveseat and the couch started ripping and tearing, I contacted the store and was supposed to have someone come out and take a look at it. TWO weeks I seen NO ONE but was told twice someone would be there that afternoon. Fast forward a month and I told the manager I want a new couch as the ripping and tearing got worse as we DO use this furniture. I was told we would have new couch within a couple weeks, it has now been TWO MONTHS and I was just told there is a USED couch being ordered for me and won’t be here until October 1 and I GAURANTEE it would not have been here. Called the store and told them to screw it come get the set I will go else where and find another set. We will NOT be back and I will make a sure I let everyone to steer clear of this place.

Staff is great. Product is great. The reason for the one star review. Is I now have 2 payments made on the stuff I have purchased. But yet still don't have it. Was told delivery would be between 1-3 on a Saturday. Then told between 3-5. And here it is 6:15 and they close at 6. Was told at 5:50 they would be heading this way in a few minutes. Wasted an entire day on them.

I have been renting from Rent-A-Center since 1994... Normally I would give them a good rating... I rented a small chaise sectional, a 50in flat screen, and a fireplace That was supposed to be new but when it was brought to my home it was all banged up and look like it had been used for months... I've been sick for 3 weeks solid with a severe ear infection, My poratid Gland iny face swollen and they found a mass in my throat... I had been paying on a two-week time level.. having to skip one week of $57having to skip one week of $57 called and asked him about doing a deferment and of course they don't want to do that they want to come get the furniture..what gets me is when you don't want them to come get something they're ready to pick it up when you want them to come get it out of your way because you no longer want it they take their time about coming to get it... I was planning on keeping everything until it was paid off.. but if they would rather be the way they are and lose a customer that they know was planning on keeping it until it was paid off so be it! There's too many other places to rent from.. so no biggie but they'll never have to worry about me renting from them again!!!! T.A.

Just to let everyone know it is against the law for rentacenter to be banging on your door for payment or to be calling you everyday to harass you. It is also against the law for them to call your reference about you oweing them money. The references are to get the item not to call looking to get a hold of you about payment. They harassed my mother all the way in NC looking for me. After i told them the month before to not call my mother anymore she has nothing to do with my payments they called her again thr next month twice harassing again. That is completely against the law and violation of people's privacy rights because the references have no clue they are going to be called about payments and probably didn't know you even wrote them down as a reference. Horrible company I would never rent anything again from them. Their people are complete rude and your just commission to them.

I walked into the store and the two gentlemen sitting at the counter looked at me and turned around to finish what they were doing. I didn't get a greeting nor did they offer to help me with anything. A few moments later my husband walked in the door and they greeted him and offered to help him. Worst business I've ever seen! Not sure why they have a sign saying they have free same day delivery but cant deliver anything for almost a month. Seems like its false advertisement. Potential law suit? Not only that but I've been in this store 3 times every time it's a wreck and not only that the employees say or do something witch make me leave the store and not purchase anything from them when I entended on buying at least $4,000 in merchandise. Great job guys you should think about maybe firing you're managers and getting someone who wont push potentially paying customers away.

Great place to rent to own your furniture for the li ung room or bedroom and a tv or wash dryer and many other items as well. I have to say their manager Dawn is amazing she knows what she is doing and she gets it done she works with you. I live how they sit down and explain the whole contract with you and not just sign her here and here. They also deliver for free! I love this place and will definatly be going back!

I recently purchased a sofa from this RAC in Clarksburg. I've approximately had the sofa 2months. I called the store and spoke with someone this past Saturday(5-4-13) and requested that someone come pick up my couch and take it back and I was informed no men were in and they would have to call me back. I received no call back. Thursday(5-9-13) I called back to the store and spoke with someone and informed them that I wanted them to order me a new sofa(#2) same as the one I have and when it came in I wanted to replace it with sofa #1. In doing this all the money that we have paid toward sofa #1 is basically rent for the couch, so WE are the ones paying more for a couch we are the ones loosing. I also asked if the manager could call me about this matter. The manager did call me back and wanted to know why I wanted to return one couch and get a brand new one in return when the one I have was new and has nothing wrong with it. I told him that's what I wanted to do and I was basically teaching my husband a lesson. Before we bought the couch my husband and I made a deal and my husband did not keep up his end of our deal. So since he didn't keep his word I need to keep mine and that is purchasing a brand new sofa and replacing sofa # 1 with the new. The manager told me he wouldn't let me trade sofas that I needed to teach my husband a lesson or prove a point another way. I then asked if I had them come pick up sofa #1 then I called and had them order sofa #2 and he replied he would then have sofa #1 in the store and that's the only one I could get. I am extremely dissatisfied with my service at this store and I will never deal with another RAC in the Clarksburg area ever again. Kayla

This is an horribly run rebt a center. Some guy gave my number when he rented something from here I've told them multiple times that I am not the one that is on this account. I have never rented anything and I make my own money and buy my own things. They called me again the next day stating that it's very important that I call them or other things are going to be happening. This is an awful facility and horrible employees!!!

This in rent a center in ellsworth me. Will never rent off of them again. Never had a problem with the them up until recently. I returned a computer a while ago and went in to see how much was owed on it and they started arguing with me saying that it was never returned. Thank God the guy that was working that day gave me a receipt. The manager and assistant manager we're back the arguing with me that they don't give receipts for merchandise that was returned. Thank God I still had the receipt because I went back the next day and showed it to them and they weren't to happy about it. They told me I didn't owe anything because it was charged off. I asked we're the computer was and they had a clue. My guess is someone that works at the Ellsworth rent a center walked away with a free computer. Now working with corporate to see what happened.

Bought a TV and a game system took out a insurance policy on the TV it started to get lines through the picture called rent a center, the guy who answered gave me a hard time ,he said my insurance policy was cancelled,acco according to the paperwork they cannot cancle the insurance unless they contact you a week in advance ,I was never contacted so my insurance should be intact,they continue to charge me for the insurance I feel like I'm being scammed.by the company,they where sure to collect the money for the payments,but are trying to get out coverage of my TV,I will never buy here again!!!
