I recently bought a new iphone that had a shattered screen I brought it into Maine Geeks and the employees tackled the problem without hesitation. The fixed my issue and I was off. A few day slater my phones touch capabilities stopped working so i brought it back in to see what the problem was. Again without any hesitation they opened my phone up and addressed the issue re connected a lose wire. These guys are extremely efficient, fair priced, and care about the customers.

Dropped laptop off to them 5 days ago. They said they would know what was wrong within 24 to 48 hours. No calls texts or emails from them. I began calling the next day. The recording said they would return my call within 15 min each time. NO CALLS finally got through for the girl to say she had no record of me or my computer and that she would call me back in 5 min. NO CALL drove over there and asked why they couldn’t even call. Said oh their systems were down. When I asked why they didn’t have the common decency to call he handed me my computer and said get out. When I asked if he had even figured out the issue he said no. Be warned they have 0 customer service

dropped off my laptop with a cracked screen. Had the part ordered and installed within the week. I happened to break my iphone 8 screen while waiting for my laptop so I had them fix that while I waited even. The waiting experience in store is second to none! Computers to use, tv, beautiful fish, and the cleanest bathroom I have personally ever seen. Fast and friendly professionals!

Super and friendly service. I had the notorious cryptologer virus infect my laptop and these guys were unlike the last couple of companies I called. They told me without any sugar coating that the damage caused by that virus could not be reversed and even provided me articles online to back that up. They did rebuild my system which i dropped off earlier and I was able to pick it up this afternoon fully reinstalled configured and 365 days antivirus protection.

Spent $100 to have my daughter's phone screen replaced. Great job, initially. Two months later, not so great. The screen is coming apart. Went in to the store this evening and we were told that for $60 they can fix it again as it is past the 30-day WARRANTY. Yes, I want to pay more money for a repair that should have lasted longer than two months. Thanks, but no thanks. A classier place would have stood by their work.

I was in town for a concert and had my screen fixed. The phone hasn't been the same since. I try to click on the screen and it takes two or three times to engage sometimes. The battery runs out fast because the screen stays on most of the time and doesn't auto shut off. Called in and they said they wouldn't refund, only option was to come in to let them look. I offered to ship the phone back and they wouldn't allow that. Their stuff is low quality.

Quick turn around. My PC needed a simple BIOS flash and they could not do it. Their radio ads claim that they are a computer repair shop but they can't update a motherboard? I don't think they should charge people $50 for simple software issues they can't fix. Oh well..

Quick, freindly, knowlagble, price competive, profetional , and very helpful. I was amazed i got someone of this calber to come to my home on a sunday night right before game time at 7pm ! try getting any local computer repair person to come that quick in the Bangor area, I was givin a few options to solve my laptop issue and was not preshured into any up sell offer. I highly recomend this new company heck my work place now uses them too. Give them a call you will not be disapointed.

I dropped my macbook and messed up the screen and trackpad. They accidentally ordered the wrong part so I was without it for longer than I would have liked, however when they called to inform me it was going to be a little bit longer than expected he also told me to come in to pick up a loaner. The loaner was nicer than my mac lol. The shop itself is one of the nicest environments I have ever been in. I want to move there hahaha.

Usually when I bring my Macbook anywhere to get fixed its $125 just for them to look at it plus whatever it costs for the actual repairs. So glad I found Maine Geeks, they were able to fix my computer for less than what it would usually cost just to have it looked at!

I cannot recommend these guys enough. I walked in with a broken iphone screen and home buttom and they fixed it within an hour, no questions asked. Their prices are insanely fair and they do a great job. My home button stopped working a few days later and when I called about it, they immediately had me come in and fix it right there and then without a fuss. My phone has been working perfectly since then. Great people!

By far, the absolute worst tech repair shop option in the Bangor area. I had a simple repair on a modern laptop. The estimated time on the repair was 2 weeks, it took more than 8. Eight weeks. The cost was not only outrageous, but almost twice as much as their estimate suggested, which I conferred about in a phone call. Among all this, the staff presented themselves as egotistic, and rude, even though I maintained a respectful and coooerative demeanor throughout all transactions. I can not recommend enough that you avoid this shoddy, ill-prepared tech shop at all costs.

Excellent service. I went in Saturday to have my laptop screen replaced after being told that "there was nothing we can do" from the best buy geek squad. The employee Ken was very friendly and helpful in explaining what would be the process of replacing the screen. I came back today and my laptop screen is fixed and running good as new! I recently purchased an iphone, I went to the grocery store directly afterwards and dropped it and it cracked. At first i didnt know exactly what to do, or where to go. I went over to maine geeks and the offered to fix my phone! I was shocked as i thought this was only a computer repair store! I highly recommend Maine Geeks. In two hours time and with no appointment, Tahya replaced the battery and charging port on my 3 year old iPhone 7S and now it works perfectly. The charge of $157 was about what I expected, since the charging port requires removal of many delicate parts.

I’m very glad I went local with Maine Geeks computer repair. I learned a lot about antivirus software when I was there, and they were able to successfully get my computer back up to speed very quickly. I’ve had a hard time finding a really good place for computer repair in the past, so the people at Maine Geeks were a major find. My repair was under one hundred dollars, which was way less than I’d paid in the past. I was afraid I’d have to purchase a whole new computer, but fortunately, they helped me get more use out of this one.

Having a broken phone is no fun. I dropped my phone and smashed the screen. Called the insurance company through the cellular plan that I have to find out it was an expensive fix. I decided to look around locally to see if I could find somewhere less expensive. I tried a few places and found that one was expensive the other had bad customer service. Then I found Maine Geeks. I walked in and was greeted right off. I told them what happened and that I needed my iphone 6s plus back as soon as possible. They were cheep and had it back to me in less than a few hours. The other places said I would be waiting a day or two to get it back. As much as I break my phone and my family tends to break theirs we will be coming back. Great customer service! Thank you

The WORST place on EARTH to get your Apple products fixed. 1. My MacBook Pro Retina wouldn't turn on. 2. I PAID $50 for diagnostics. 3. Maine Geeks said "DISPLAY PROBLEM" = $400 additional to repair. Since I have some knowledge about computers, I knew that the display backlight was turning on, so I doubted the "PROFESSIONAL diagnostic result" and turned to Apple. Apple Care service: 1. "Hard Drive Bad Sector/Defective" = SSD dead. 2. Replaced SSD for $200. I then go back to Maine Geeks, asking for a return on the SHITTY "DIAGNOSTIC" fee of $50, as they CLEARLY couldn't figure out the problem. Maine Geeks: REFUSED to return the diagnostic fee. I then wrote this review, the OWNER CALLS ME, asks for SETTLEMENT and DELETE this review. I said "NO." I wasted my $50, and potentially MUCH MORE, chose not to get it returned because people have the right to know. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, DON'T TRUST THE REVIEWS

I broke my iPhone’s charging port, so I looked around Bangor to find a tech repair shop and I found Maine Geeks. Took them about an hour to fix it so I waited and played on some high quality gaming PCs while I waited. Clean place, quality top of the line service and I’m DEFINITELY going back for a gaming pc.

My laptop computer was taken over by a virus and had to be rebuilt. The first technician I took it to did not seem to know what to do and charged me for essentially doing nothing to fix the problem. When I gave Maine Geeks a try, the technician Angelo Carvalho understood my problem right away. He was able to fix my computer quickly and only charged a very reasonable fee. Best of all, he made a house call to reconnect the laptop to a docking station and set up all the newly reinstalled programs. He also gave me advice and remote assistance over the phone and now my computer is working better than it has since I first bought it in 2010! I cannot recommend Maine Geeks enough--the expertise and quality of service is better than any computer repair service I've ever experienced.

My LG G3 screen broke and i took it to Maine Geeks for repair. They didn't have the right one so they ordered it and I payed 113 $ at that moment. The service, 30$, was after they fix it. A few days later they called me and I went to get my phone. The moment they gave it back to me i checked it and I saw a little crack in the top, next to the camera, not even in the screen. Since the one person giving me the phone back wasn't the same that did the repair, he said he didn't understand how that happened and he offered to discount the service from the total price. 3 weeks later, and not having drop the phone or anything this is the result: I guess in 2 months I will have to change my phone or fix the screen again. Worst service and quality (probably they replaced the screen for a fake one) ever.

These guys fixed my computer by removing adware and spyware. They upgraded the ram and changed my power supply all in the same day. I was impressed with the service, amount of time it took, and the affordable price. Definitely will return!

Do not ever go to the business!! If zero stars were possible I would give that instead. Absolute worst service I've ever had, which is a shame because the owner is lovely and accurate but his worker, Ken, gave us the worst experience we've had yet. He tested my phones function in front of me to make sure everything was working properly. His customer service and Chris's job fixing my phone made my visit less stressful. Watching these two work with customers in the time I waited was enjoyable as well because it was all about helping the customers and making sure they were satisfied. I highly recommend this place if you are in need of repairs and good customer service I have used the repair shop in the mall ,and there prices were ridiculously high,and they told me 1 hour to fix and my phone was there for 5 hours. During my short visit to Bangor Maine my computer stopped booting up past one ominous looking stripy screen. I've had no end of problems with it, it is vista and problematic. But I had a meeting the next morning and needed my laptop so I thought I was going go have to buy a new one. As a last ditch effort, I googled repair companies in Bangor to give it a shot. I left a voice message with several companies but only Angelo at Maine Geeks was able to call me back within a few minutes. He was very knowledgeable and calm and he also reassured me that he could get the job done the same day since I had to have my laptop for the early morning. I drove out to their office in Glenburn dropped it off and headed back to town. Just four hours later Angelo called and told me I could pick up my computer that night. I was even able to come and get it a little past close. Now it all runs better than brand new. Bringing my computer in to Angelo is something I wish I had done many frustrations ago. I cannot say thank you enough. Truly exceptional service.

If i could gove this place 0 stars than i would. I brought in my ipod 5 to get a simple screen repair and when i came back the front and back cameras that had previously been working no longer worked. The told me it was a problem on my motherboard but if it really was then wouldnt i have had a problem before i got it fixed? I paid $90 for a screen repair and got two broken cameras back. I asked for my money back but the only gave me a partial refund of $30. I only went ther because i thought i was getting a better deal with the cheaper price but all my friends told me to go to the place in the bangor mall. I didnt listen to them but i should have so after all this i did go there and they were very nice and helpfull. The guy there fixed both my cameras now my ipod is working like new. All i can say is that if your device means a lot to you dont go here, spend more money if somebody offers a cheap fix its untrustworthy they dont even have a warranty on their parts. Trust me i am writing here honestly so i can save you from hassel.

Half of the time, I would walk out of there after spending way more money than I would for just the repair, because they had convinced me that I needed it. Fixed everything! Oh my god, thank you so much. My computer was totally not working at all. I kept seeing the blue screen thing and I totally panicked. I considered just tossing the entire thing out the window, but eventually I brought it here instead. They have the whole "drop off today, pick up tomorrow" thing, and that's exactly what I did! I have no idea how they pulled it off, it seem like magic wizardry to me. For all I know they used actual dark magic to fix my stupid non-working computer. That's what the whole thing seems like to me, since I have no idea how anything works, I'm completely in the dark when it comes to computers. That's why it's so frustrating when your computer suddenly stops working and there's nothing you can do bout it. But these guys fixed it somehow, no problem. My time with the Maine Geeks was very pleasant and I couldn't have asked for a better place to make a good friend and fix my computer. I own a 2009 Hp Pavilion, I have 1 terabyte of memory. I have all the extra memory installed because I keep alot of pictures and media on my laptop. I was very nervous of having anyone working on my laptop. "I consider all my media and personal info that I've collected over the years very sensitive." I did not feel comfortable giving my laptop to a big corp like the geeks squad because every other time I've used them in the past, they seem to have no idea whats going on or even appear competent. My laptop was very messed up, it wasn't allowing me to backup, install or burn anything. It was basically just not allowing me to do anything other than surf online. I had heard an advertisement on the radio for Maine Geeks. I gave them a call and talked with a very friendly man by the name of Angelo. Afterwards, I went to their store location in Glenburn Maine and made good friends with Angelo and his wife. They had my laptop for only 1 day. I didn't have the time to pick it up the next day, but it just goes to show that when they say "Drop off today, pick up tomorrow" they do it! When I arrived to pick up my laptop, I immediately checked all my media and data to make sure everything was their and working correctly before I paid $$$$. "everything worked out just great" I was very happy that I had a 100% working computer again. My LG G3 screen broke and i took it to Maine Geeks for repair. They didn't have the right one so they ordered it and I payed 113 $ at that moment. The service, 30$, was after they fix it. A few days later they called me and I went to get my phone. The moment they gave it back to me i checked it and I saw a little crack in the top, next to the camera, not even in the screen. Since the one person giving me the phone back wasn't the same that did the repair, he said he didn't understand how that happened and he offered to discount the service from the total price. 3 weeks later, and not having drop the phone or anything this is the result: I guess in 2 months I will have to change my phone or fix the screen again. Worst service and quality (probably they replaced the screen for a fake one) ever.

Super disappointing. Went in to fix a computer and they said they fixed it and the night we brought it back, the computer was not performing properly so we had to bring it back and they asked for more money to fix the second problem. Doesn’t make sense that they charge you $50 for a diagnostics test and only fix one of the problems. Guy even admitted that the two problems were connected to each other. Not once did I receive text or phone call with number I left to reach. I get there and was told 100.15 because speakers or something was damaged during repair. They use a really clever approach to fixing any problem on your computer using CD imaging and recovery software that just sort of brute forces a solution without even needing to go through the whole rigmarole of trying to reverse engineer exactly what’s wrong, or hunt a virus all over your machine. Instead, they can just do their one special move, and bang, everything is fixed. I admit I was a bit suspicious about how they could possibly offer such low rates and guarantee that you get your computer back in only one day. But once they gave me a general sense of how they did it, it made perfect sense. I can’t believe no one else has developed a system like that before, seriously. Anyway, the main take away is that I got my computer back the next day, with all the problems off of it, and I didn't break the bank on it. Kudos.

Brought broken computer to this place. Worker Ken Hammill was unable to fully diagnose computer's problem, having trouble finding the actual issue with it. After Ken Hammill said that they fixed the computer, I came back to find out the computer was still not working properly. When I brought the computer back the next day, they asked for more money to fully fix the computer. They failed to fully fix the computer, but denies any responsibility. It is apparent that Ken Hammill is incompetent with his skills, admitting that he failed to catch the problem early on. However, Ken did not take responsibility, quickly denying any mistakes on his part. Ken Hammill and the store he works for succinctly displays an astute example of the lack of professionalism and skill. Edit: Ken Hammill admitted the issue with the power supply and the booting problem was "very likely" to be related. Having my computer malfunction 3 hours after you supposedly "fixed" the PC evidently displays that it wasn't coincidental. Be a business that accepts your mistakes, own up to it, and fix the problem. You are a business that "fixes" things after all.

I am one to got to the Big box stores cause I value after sales support that small shops don't seem to match or offer. Boy was I wrong. I needed an emergency virus removal on my laptop ( FBI ransom virus) and the Maine Geeks showed up 1st on my google search. They guaranteed next day pickup on their website and so I gave them a try. Oh wow, I appreciate this business to the fullest, they saved me in a crunch. I was about to fly out of Bangor International Airport on business when my Iphone started to act strangely. I count on this particular phone for ALL of my business accounts, work, and dealings, as well as for some personal(although I have an Android for my family to communicate with me)communications. When the applications started to run slowly and different screens, for instance the phone screen started to flicker, run slowly and then ultimately freeze up, I became very worried and upset. Being away from home and expected on a flight, combined with being on a tight business schedule I was quite stressed out. I popped into Maine Geeks One Day Repair after searching online for a local repair shop. When I walked in I was immediately helped and the employees were friendly and very efficient. After they quickly addressed and assessed my phone, they knew right away what exactly the fix would be. Being an older gentleman, I am not too technologically advanced. I pretty much know the basics for my business dealings, and can run simplistic programs and applications I find useful in my life, but besides that I'm basic. Walked in and was greeted by Ken right away. We discussed the issue I was ha info with my computer and that I needed it fixed and returned quickly. He diagnosed it in less than 30 minutes. So I had made a few stupid adjustments in the settings causing problems. He was able to fix my computer in under an hour. Wow. He could have over charged or lied but he did not. I like Honest people. I went in today to get my screen fixed on my Iphone7, because I had cracked it and needed it replace. I was greeted and taken care of well by Chris. I told Chris to give me a call on my office phone or shoot me an email when it was finished. I never recieved and email or a call. I went back in three hours later and Chris told me my proximity sensor the sensor that makes the phone shut off when you hold it up to your ear) was not working, and it would need to be replaced. I was told it was going to be another 30 minutes, which did't make sense to me when he could have reached out via the other number or email to let me know the progress of the phone. I said ok. I came back 3 minutes later and he told me it was a deeper issue within the board and it would be very expensive to fix and that he would have to ship it out. I told him to just put my cracked screen back on. as he was putting my screen back on, he tested my proximity sensor, and it worked fine, which to me says that his part he was putting in my phone was defective. I was still charged for a diagnostic fee, on something THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX. I asked why I was being charged for this and was given the answer "we had to look at it and take it apart. I can understand that, but if you went in, didn't diagnose the problem, couldn't fix the problem, why would you charge a customer? If they would like to reach out to me, they have my contact information. PS. notice how you cant leave a review on their Facebook business page, and that they only put 5star reviews on their website.....I wonder why that is. UPDATE: By Companies response to my review....clarifying with me that you only had my cell on file, when I gave you my office line as well as my direct email that your own system sent me a receipt to. I asked you to follow up with me and you did not. You told my MY part wasn't working, you told me YOU were going to put a new senor in for me, which didn't work, and instead of trying a NEW part, which anyone with any amount of common sense would do, you tell me there is something very wrong with my phone and said it will be very expensive to fix and you would have to send it out....and then you charged me for something that you couldn't fix, like it was my fault. It's called customer service 101. The irony of it all is you have a sign that sits right under where you stand that has the three stooges on it with a phrase that says along the lines "if we cant figure it out, the customer doesn't have to pay.....a joke, like you handle people that want to do business with your company. take your $29 you ripped off of me and go buy yourself a book on customer service.

I thought that they fixed my phone, but they actually gave me a faulty screen that broke within 3 days. When I brought it in for a replacement, they said that tiny scratches on the corner of my phone meant that they couldn't replace their faulty screen without charging me again. Don't come here. Additionally, I don't think their data storage for credit/debit card info is secure - within a day of going there, my debit card was hacked, and it's the only place I used it at the time.Not to mention the customer service was very rude they treated me like i was beneath them like i knew nothing.Better of to pay the extra and take your business else were

I am very pleased with the service I received from this business. I know a fair deal about computers, but I ran into a hardware problem that I couldn't fix: the power jack on my ASUS brand laptop stopped working. My laptop was now completely useless without a power supply. The repair that was needed involved disassembling the laptop, removing the component with the broken connection from the motherboard, and re-soldering it back in place. This requires careful, skilled work. I was very impressed that I received my laptop back in one(!) business day! Angelo, the owner and operator of the business, seemed very friendly and trustworthy. I talked shop with him afterwards and he seems knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his work. It has been nearly a month, and his repair is holding up very well. I would recommend this business to others. Support a local business! You'll get better service and prices here than at a big box store that ships off your computer to a remote service center EDIT: 9 months later, the repair is holding up, no problems.

When i received the phone it was not as described had deep scratch on the screen and missing the power cable. Never seen this business practice before . Half of my experiences with professional computer repair made me feel like I was being rushed aside for the next available appointment or customer. ..I stopped by because I had an issue with my PC desktop power supply..it would do a lot of clicking and would give me that BSOD at random, even when the system was idle..I took it in, without appointment, and immediately got attention..the help there was friendly and even laughed when he saw how easy the fix was..I was prepared to buy a whole new power supply, yet all he did was a simple reset of this red switch inside the power supply case..after that she booted up with no problems..I was so content with the help that I decided to purchase another USB keyboard (my last one was on its last buttons lol) and some flash drives..I'm satisfied with the help and with the purchases, and would greatly recommend them and will soon return to patronize this very clean shop in the near future..5 STARS!!

I hope you read this before going into this store. My girlfriend brought her Iphone 7 into Maine Geeks to get her screen fixed and like usual something went wrong with her phone " It kept restarting" Now if you have ever brought your phone into a place like this usually you'll lose your headphone jack or something minor but this man and women who works in the back did something very sneaky that someone who doesn't know about phones and how to read code wouldn't ever catch. They implanted a Bug which you wouldn't know normally because they usually just drain your battery and or make random calls for no reason but this one stopped the operating system from fully booting up which caused it to dump all its files thinking it was crashing but in all reality it was just blocked from fully functioning. They told her she needed a new battery which was working just fine before she broke her screen so i went in with her to talk to the guy and have him do it in front of me and test all the hardware which weirdly he said worked just fine and he didnt know what was wrong with it only that he could ship it to apple but would take 3 weeks! I wish I was making this up but i'm not so just remember they might seem like nice people but if you read the contract it says " its not there fault" so you better off going to the mall WHERE THEY DO THE REPAIR RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU not in the back room and getting a working phone back not a broken one.

I am one to got to the Big box stores cause I value after sales support that small shops don't seem to match or offer. Boy was I wrong. I needed an emergency virus removal on my laptop ( FBI ransom virus) and the Maine Geeks showed up 1st on my google search. They guaranteed next day pickup on their website and so I gave them a try. The tech was professional and calm and I was assured I could pickup my Asus laptop the next day. Its been 2 weeks now and I am one pleased customer. My laptop is virus free and secure and runs much faster cause I got the free 360 point PC tuneup. They even called a week after I picked up my laptop to see how I was doing or if I needed any help. Oh wow, I appreciate this business to the fullest, they saved me in a crunch. I was about to fly out of Bangor International Airport on business when my Iphone started to act strangely. I count on this particular phone for ALL of my business accounts, work, and dealings, as well as for some personal(although I have an Android for my family to communicate with me)communications. When the applications started to run slowly and different screens, for instance the phone screen started to flicker, run slowly and then ultimately freeze up, I became very worried and upset. Being away from home and expected on a flight, combined with being on a tight business schedule I was quite stressed out. I popped into Maine Geeks One Day Repair after searching online for a local repair shop. When I walked in I was immediately helped and the employees were friendly and very efficient. After they quickly addressed and assessed my phone, they knew right away what exactly the fix would be. Being an older gentleman, I am not too technologically advanced. I pretty much know the basics for my business dealings, and can run simplistic programs and applications I find useful in my life, but besides that I'm basic. After some clearing of unnecessary applications, a reset, and a few other adjustments, I was quickly on my way and on my flight punctually.
