I recently took our older Mac Book to Maccentric for repairs. Thomas and his staff were great. They ordered the part we needed on Wednesday and installed it Thursday. They answered all my questions and were happy to help in anyway they could. Glad I found this place! I highly recommend it.

I had a wonderful experience with Maccentric. I have an older mac, and I got the blue screen of death. Looked online for a place to take it and they had the best reviews. You pay a fee upfront to cover the diagnostics and the first hour of labor. They said that they wouldn't do anything unless they had my permission. Got a call a day or so later and a part had to be replaced. When they got the part in, it had a huge dent in it. They replaced it another way because they didn't want to use a dented part. The techs were super nice and understanding. I hope I don't have anymore computer problems, but if and when I ever do - these will be the guys I go to.

Very helpful and efficient!! I originally set up an appointment to have my battery replaced. Then as luck goes a cracked my screen the next day. And set up an appointment for that repair as well. I went by the day before my appointment to see if they could combine them or should I even replace my battery. The staff member was SUPER helpful and got me set up that day and were able to do same day service since my phone did not need to be mailed off.They fixed my phone in under 2 hours and I can already tell a difference with the battery. I've now had two repairs by these folks. One involved the replacement of my iMac display panel and a fan (under AppleCare) and the most recent was a replacement of my ancient white MacBook's LCD (out of my pocket). First, let me say these folks are super easy to deal with -- possibly the easiest "repair" interactions I've ever had. Second, they were totally cool with me bringing my own part for the MacBook repair -- I have a vendor that I usually get LCDs from so I can get them a little cheaper, and every penny counts right now. Anyway, if you are in this area, you should use Maccentric for all of your Apple-related needs. Personally, I would rather have them work on my hardware over any Apple store I've been in. My practice moved to using mac computers a few years ago. The change has made a world of difference in our day to day operations as well as in our patient's experience in our practice. While the mac software has made our lives in the office much easier it is without question the skilled technicians at Maccentric that have made this transition possible. I had an issue with my Macbook keyboard and found that this town has no Apple Store. No worries - I was able to register an appointment with Maccentric via the Apple site. When I arrived, I was pleased to see Maccentric is in an upscale little strip mall with free parking and had a very clean, minimalist lobby - similar to an Apple Store. The woman at the counter was receptive, efficient and had me out the door in less that 10 minutes or so. I was told my repair would take 3-4 days. On the fourth day I received a text indicating the work was complete. I went to pick up my laptop, with a brand new keyboard (top case) and paid zero because it was under warranty. Overall, this was a pleasant experience that met all my expectations. As you can see, my computer now works like new.

I've used these guys in the past for my home computers, and when I opened my new office in January I went Mac there, too. I had them install the computer, link it to our network, work out the interface with MS programs, and work through the scanners, printers, network shared files and backup issues. While my laptop was repaired and is working perfectly fine (hence the 3 stars) I left off 2 merely because there was 0 communication from them on the status of my laptop after being told there would be, and the amount of time. I dropped off my MAC laptop on a Friday morning after my 'n' key wouldn't work and was giving me trouble. I was told they would either have to order a whole new keyboard and install it, or they'll be able to fix it in house. They would call and let me know. On Wednesday, I still hadn't heard anything so I gave them a call to see what was happening. They said they ordered the part Monday, it would take a few days to get to them and once it was repaired they would give me a call....Okay, fine. Maybe they forgot to call me. It happens. The following Monday I still hadn't heard anything, I gave them all day to give me a call before finally I called 10 minutes before they closed to ask about my laptop. Loe and behold it was fixed the previous Saturday, but Saturday and Monday they didn't have enough time to go through their steps to make sure it was working properly. It would be ready to pick up Tuesday morning. They would call me. At about 8:30 Tuesday morning, 30 minutes after they open I get a call that it's ready......I get that they're probably busy, but the fact that I never once received a call after being told I would multiple times was incredibly frustrating. Their capabilities and knowledge with MAC's are awesome. Their customer service is sub par at best from my experience.

I'm from out of town, having a little trouble with my phone. A problem I 100% knew how to fix but had no internet connection. I was eating near this place and I thought, "Maybe these guys will help me out". I'd had a similar issue before and another Apple Store helped me fix the issue quickly for free because it's such a simple fix. Once again, I'm not from Shreveport, I walk in to explain the situation hoping for a friendly greeting. Instead I patiently stood there for 10 mins behind ONE customer. The guy at the desk could have said ANYTHING to me. "I'll be with you in a minute." Something. But instead he doesn't say a word. Then when I finally get to talk to him he said he could factory reset my phone for $29.99. So insulting A) my phone just needed to connect to wifi for 5 minutes to resolve the issue. B) even if I needed a factory reset I can do that FOR FREE in like 30 minutes at home I'm sure they are great guys but it didn't come across that way in my encounter.

We ran into major problems with networking after upgrading our computers at our dental office. We couldn't get our programs to work or recognize the server. We only had one day to get them fixed so we could see patients. Chris from Maccentric came immediately and had everything networked very quickly and then stayed to make sure all of the programs worked on each and every computer. He went above and beyond making sure all of the computer settings were to our liking and working seamlessly. Maccentric doesn't just fix Macs, they educate their customers on the ins and outs of the machine and provide excellent service and support. A couple of years ago I had an older model MacBook Pro that started going out on me. Thomas and his team were extremely helpful in repairing/replacing the failing parts and helping me understand proper computer maintenance and upkeep at a fair price. As a matter of fact, never once was I concerned about price because I knew they would give me the best deal in the area along with the best service. I edit video for a living, and use my computer to do so. Needless to say, if my computer is out of commission, I'm in big trouble! Unfortunately I'm also a bit of a klutz, and even though my MacBook is my prized possession, accidents happen from time to time. Fortunately Maccentric is only ten minutes away. I'll typically arrive a bit frazzled, fearing the worst, but the staff's calm demeanor and assurance they'll get it sorted out makes me feel a lot better. I leave knowing my computer, my lifeline, is in good hands. I'm always surprised by the turnaround - sometimes it only takes a few hours, and in one instance they asked me to take a seat and managed to repair the problem in under ten minutes. The same day that the stock market dropped 1,000+ points, including a sharp drop in AAPL stock, one of the articles about Apple mentioned that there was a camera glitch in some iphone 6 plus phones. I looked up my phone's ser # online and discovered it was one of those that needed a camera replacement. There were 2 stores in the area that Apple's website said could do the repair. One store said no matter what I'd have to leave my phone for up to a week or two and that they also had to order the part. Then I called Maccentric. They said no problem, bring in my phone, and they'd fix it while I waited - which they did - in all it took around 15 minutes. Thumbs up to these guys and thanks again!

I have been taking my Mac and Apple products to Maccentric for servicing, troubleshooting and resolution for several years now. Maccentric deals locally and does not have that disconnect that so many corporate, franchisey outfits seem to offer as their idea of “Customer Service.” Maccentric staff work hard to explain and tell me WHY computers do things, rather than simply saying “We have fixed your computer. Will you please leave?” If I understand WHY things behave in a certain way, then I become more educated on how to keep my tech in line. I've had multiple occasions when my employer or myself have had to make use of Maccentric's services, most recently this past week. Almost always, I can troubleshoot any software issues and handle hardware upgrades, but when it comes to serious network issues or ensuring that my personal MacBook Pro undergoes repair while retaining coverage under Apple Care, there isn't any question who I call on. Chris has repeatedly overextended his estimated and billable time spent with onsite networking issues and Thomas has been more than generous in his attempts to have parts and labor covered under Apple Care. In my most recent repair, I didn't get 5 minutes away before Thomas had already cracked open my MacBook Pro, identified the problem and called to inform me of the issue. So I gotta brag on Thomas and Chris at Maccentric for a minute. Our designer's iMac wouldn't turn on. A couple text messages and we determined it was the psu. Brought it in at 4:45 and determined we were right. Had the part switched out and the system was up and running by 5:45. Our designer will have a total of 3 hours of downtime from this. That is service.
