They checked it out at no cost (free estimates!) and found, hey, only a defective AC power cord. Whew! As Zoe, the manager said, "no repair, no charge." I got my machine back at no cost. I am tickled. As a result, I will bring in a scrambled drive to see about salvaging files. Thanks again.

Upon coming into the shop one finds a nice environment with an owner who is understanding and knowledgeable about technology and how to fix it. Sadly, we got pulled around by a third party vendor who wouldn't send the right part. I want charged for the time they held onto my PC and they communicated with me each step of the way. Requested a quote via email for repair of a UHD touchscreen on my laptop. Quote says $230-$320 but to stop by the store for an accurate quote. Go all the way downtown to bring the laptop and suddenly the cost is closer to $500+. Once of the techs said she didn't realize it was a 4K screen (even though in the quote received it states UHD). Wasted trip.

I scheduled an appointment for 10:30am Friday. The store hours says it opens at 10am so I chose the 10:30 time slot to let them open and whatnot. I arrived at the store at about 10:27am and noticed the sign in the window is flashing "open," so I get out of my car in the rain and notice there is a sign taped the door saying "at lunch," and the door is locked. No one is in the store. I sit in my car for 30 mins and after trying to call the store and at 11:07am Joe drives up. I enter the store and I say that I scheduled an appointment for 10:30 and he says, "Oh what time is it." I told him it was now 11:10 and he says something like "Oh yeah, I tried calling you but you didn't leave a number." I told him I filled out the appointment info online so I know that I left my number. He went to look me up in the system and said, "Oh yeah, there's your number." As he is doing all this, he is on the phone bluetoothing with his buddy, even as he begins working on phone. I heard him laughing quite a bit while he is working on my phone and talking to his friend. He finally told his friend he had to get off the phone. About 50 mins later, he tells me he is finished. I pay, and as I am leaving I noticed "unable to activate Touch ID" error on my phone. I go to my car to try and set it back up, but I kept getting the same error message. I turned my phone on and off and still nothing. I decide to go back in the store and let Joe know what's going on. He seems to be acting like he is shocked that there is an issue. He opens it up and tells me to come here and that he sees a possible tear in the cable of the Touch ID. I assured him it was working before I brought it in. He finally did admit that he may have accidentally damaged it, but then as if to make it all better he says, "let me show you something." and he goes and pulls out someone's iPhone 7 and proceeds to show me "how difficult" it is to work on the home button on those phones and asks, "how many of these do you think I've broken." I wasn't sure what to answer so I waited for him to respond. He says, "0" and that they are so technical and hard to work with. How is that supposed to make me feel any better?? You broke MY PHONE! I even told him I thought about trying to replace the battery myself, but I had seen online about how careful you need to be about detaching the touch ID cable, so I decided to bring it in. He says, Oh, no, really?? He tries to apologize for breaking it and then (2 different times) he says, "I bet you are going to go cuss me out in your car." Just ridiculous. When I tried to call to ask for a manager, guess who I found out the manager is, Joe.

Did a great job replacing the screen and back on a samsung S8 phone on 12th Sept which was my fault for dropping it on the tarmac without a case when running. While sitting with overhead lights yesterday I noticed a thin hairline crack, which I may not have noticed without the overheads. The phone hadn't been dropped or mishandled and has a thick case. Went to ask them to repair the product and although the receipt says 30 day warranty they will not do so. I am concerned they are using cheap parts and would warn against people using this phone repair service as you may get the same experience I have. They insist they use superior parts. Prior to this experience since owning a phone years back I had not ever had a breakage/screen problem and am careful.

These guys did an excellent and speedy job repairing my son's cracked iPhone screen. They also noticed that my son's old lithium battery was reaching the end of its life and needed to be replaced. It's a good thing they did. The battery literally exploded as they were removing it (old lithium batteries can do that if they have undetectable leaks or fissures). The repairman greeted me with a bandaged hand and a smile (I felt so bad that happened to him!). My son is thrilled with his "new" phone. We'll be back. I highly endorse this company. It's located in a hidden courtyard tucked at the end of a long, narrow hallway, with signage on King Street. There's a parking garage just around the block if you can't find a spot. Did a great job replacing the screen and back on a samsung S8 phone on 12th Sept which was my fault for dropping it on the tarmac without a case when running. While sitting with overhead lights yesterday I noticed a thin hairline crack, which I may not have noticed without the overheads. The phone hadn't been dropped or mishandled and has a thick case. Went to ask them to repair the product and although the receipt says 30 day warranty they will not do so. I am concerned they are using cheap parts and would warn against people using this phone repair service as you may get the same experience I have. They insist they use superior parts. Prior to this experience since owning a phone years back I had not ever had a breakage/screen problem and am careful.

These guys did an excellent and speedy job repairing my son's cracked iPhone screen. They also noticed that my son's old lithium battery was reaching the end of its life and needed to be replaced. It's a good thing they did. The battery literally exploded as they were removing it (old lithium batteries can do that if they have undetectable leaks or fissures). The repairman greeted me with a bandaged hand and a smile (I felt so bad that happened to him!). My son is thrilled with his "new" phone. We'll be back. I highly endorse this company. It's located in a hidden courtyard tucked at the end of a long, narrow hallway, with signage on King Street. There's a parking garage just around the block if you can't find a spot. From the day I got my iPhone 6 screen replaced, Computer Repair Doctor didn’t install the connector for the microphone and front facing camera. I also noticed a weird effect where the screen was slightly brighter in the corners and darker in the center. From there things got worse and the screen started slowly separating over time until it had come completely unattached from the phone. Even the glue holding the glass digitizer and LCD together came off and I’ve since developed a dark corner in the screen (see photo). When I brought it in, they took an hour to diagnose it, and then management decided they couldn’t cover anything because they found a small chip in the side of my screen that my phone got while in an OtterBox with a Tempered glass screen protector (see “The Chip” in photo). So I was told that the best they could do is charge me for the cost of a new screen minus labor ($75. And there’s no way they’re paying $75 each for bulk orders of those cheap displays from a manufacturer. They’re 30 bucks shipped on Amazon). I was lucky the last employee just forgot to plug the connector in when repairing the screen, otherwise Computer Repair Doctor was also going to charge me to replace that tiny internal connector (which couldn’t have possibly been broken by my fault)!! It was clearly a poor installation from an old employee, but management would sooner cite some warranty exception clauses concerning a tiny screen chip than correct what was clearly a very poor installation. Update: When I took my phone to another repair shop, they were shocked at the condition and could only account it to a sloppy installation, faulty glue, and a cheap replacement screen. There are another two shops on King street alone that replace iPhone screens, I would not choose this one.

Had a MacBook that needed the keyboard replaced. Called and got a quote of $135. Took it in and price increased to $200. Got a call a week later saying they couldn't get the needed repair part for a month but could get a different one for $250 so I agreed. At 3 weeks, I emailed and texted about status but got no response. Called and was told that the part had been lost in the mail (but they hadn't re-ordered it till after I contacted them). After 3-1/2 weeks I went and just picked up the un-repaired computer. At least there was no charge.

Went here expecting to have to pay some exhoribitant amount to have my iPhone 7 Plus repaired after it had struggled to charge for sometime and then ultimately wouldn’t charge. Service was fast, but didn't like getting a low-ball estimate & then charged double the quote when they knew Exactly what needed done. Then had to return item for 2nd repair due to not being put back together correctly 1st time. No offer of the $10 discount either they promote online. Disappointed.

Had a MacBook that needed the keyboard replaced. Called and got a quote of $135. Took it in and price increased to $200. Got a call a week later saying they couldn't get the needed repair part for a month but could get a different one for $250 so I agreed. At 3 weeks, I emailed and texted about status but got no response. Called and was told that the part had been lost in the mail (but they hadn't re-ordered it till after I contacted them). After 3-1/2 weeks I went and just picked up the un-repaired computer. At least there was no charge.
