Scammers. If you get a call from them wanting you to go on a service call just hang up on them. YOU WILL NOT BE PAID. They will send you on as many service calls that they can before you figure out you will not be paid. They will find a reason under their rules not to pay you. I have never been paid a thin dime for any of the service calls I ran for this company. SCAM! UPDATE - Still not paid! I wish I could give them NO STARS.

ciercee .

These guys are rip offs. Don't work for them. Not only do they try and cheat you out of your money but they are not very well organized and will consumer alot of time for a very small amount of money.

Francois Bosman

Ok, This company is the worst company to work for in America. Their internal system is the worst most un-organized mess. Dispatchers trying to save face, managers abusing sub-contractors, a black-mail system that do not care about their employees at all

Paul Petkus

I have preformed contract work for this company several times and each time I had to fight to get paid and they then charge fees to pay you. On my last assignment in the beginning of August 2014, I still have not been paid and the have discontinued the phone number for pay issues. If you speak to anyone within the company they will not help you and tell you to send an email. I have sent over 20 emails and I still am unable to get paid. You DO NOT want to perform work for this company!

Esther Naroola

I work for them and they are shady, they sent the tech support to DR when companies paid for us support

Mary George

This is a horrible company to try to do business with. They NEVER answer their phones and you are constantly stuck in the loop of their phone system menu. The only thing that works on their phone system menu is their own self-promotion spiel of being the first/larges woman owned business, etc., etc., etc. Also, their turnover rate is unbelievable. This company does not have a very good reputation in the local community.

Harry Otterness

I have worked for Barrister for over 1 year and love the work they provide for me to do. I like the variety and sometimes the complexity of the jobs given to me. I feel they are above the standard level of compensation and also the fact that if I do not want to do a certain job I have the chance to turn it down with no repercussions. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking to work in the Break/Fix IT field as a Field Service Technician. Harry Otterness

Allan Trowsdale

They are a bunch of crooks and will waste your time. Takes 5-10 calls to negotiate a single WO. In the end even if you think you did everything right you are likely not gonna get paid.

Edward Owens

I have been with Barrister Global Services for a little over 1 year. I find it to be very reputable. I am x IBM so I am aware of quality Corporations and Barrister is definitely a quality Corp. I give them a 5 Star rating. I am proud to be part of a winning team.

Best company ever!!!!!

Mika Duvras

since 2013 I have launched my career as IT professional at Barrister Global Services network and currently I m a active technician in the field.

Giuseppe Mercadante

I hope you never have to deal with them in your life.

Aerith Johnson

I love barrister!! Got paid on time

Daniel Careatti

THIS COMPANY SUCKS GOOD LUCK GETTING PAID, THEY HAVE SCREWED ME OUT OF HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS , KEPT CLAIMING THAT THEY WILL PAY ME. THEY GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND, NO ONE CAN GIVE YOU A PHONE NUMBER TO ANYONE WHO YOU CAN TALK TO. DO I'VE TALKED TO OTHER TECHS THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME RUN AROUND YOURSELF A FAVOR DO NOT WORK FOR THEM.

Thomas Weeks

After reading these comments I have to laugh at most of them! I have been with Barrister 10 years now and they give me plenty of work, why? because I do my j0ob correctly and in a timely matter on all jobs I accept. Do I accept all jobs? NO, s0ome jobs the pay is low for me and not worth my time and gas to do the job and mostly because the end companies do not want to pay not Barrister! You don't like the pay don't accept the job!! Main reason that MANY companies are paying low is there are wet behind the ear techs accepting the jobs at low rates cause they live with mommy and have no bills. So don't blame Barrister blame the low ball wet behind the ear techs accepting these low prices! As for NO PAY,,, well hmmm did you return the part on time? did you bother to address the issues with payissues or if they not respond demand to speak to someone with authority? It works trust me...I have had my share of headaches with Barrister after 10 years but I have never once Not been paid and if someone has screwed up and tried to fine me for something that was beyond my control I have always been able to win my disputes just by reaching out to the right people. All in all they are a great company to work with and have some great contracts if you are a primary tech and willing to work a lot of tickets and do your job professionally and in a timely matter. So before you write a bad review about them look in the mirror and your work and ask yourself a very simple question... Did I do the job to my best ability?

Carlwayne Frank

I've been doing contract work through Barrister for the bast 2-3 years. For the most part things have been very positive, and they have kept me working. At times there are slow seasons but if you know business there is always a slow season, or maybe it's I just fix things in my area to well that they don't break to often. I won't say it has been a perfect relationship cause I would then be lying. There is no perfect business it's all give and take you learn and you move on. If you are a good tech and really honed in on your craft Barrister could be a good fit.

alexnsweet .

I've worked with Barrister Global on and off for the last 4 years now. Although you have to be quick on your feet and proactive, I've enjoyed working with a number of dispatchers. The only complaint I've had, other than with other technicians, is the time it takes to check in and out.. But, Guess what?.. There's an app for that. haha. The new BAM app allows you to check in and out. I look forward to working on more upcoming projects and service orders. :)

Brandon Williams

THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE WORST DAMN COMPANIES I'VE EVER DONE ANY WORK FOR!!!! THEY'RE VERY UNORGANIZED AND NON-COMMUNICATIVE TO THE POINT WHERE IF YOU DON'T GET OUT SOON YOU TRULY WILL REGRET IT!!!

Jimmie Monroe

I have worked with Barrister for about 3 years and I have had pay issues attributed to misunderstandings, bit once pay issue was made aware the problems were quickly resolved. I have heard of many complaints from Barrister techs regarding pay or not being paid, I have not had that problem. I tend to follow the rules laid out by the company. I am not saying other techs statements are incorrect, I am saying that I have gotten paid for every work order or confirmed trip I have made.

John Andrea, III

Three years of trying to work with this company has shown me that Barrister is horrible for both techs and end users. Every job is a battle. Very disorganized company with constant misinformation. They will not acknowledge mistakes and always shift the blame and financial responsibility onto techs. I am a responsible tech with a thriving business - I tried very hard to make this work as they do have a lot of work available. In the end they turned me loose because I was reluctant to do something unethical that they were asking of me. To make matters worse they will not even respond to my emails requesting an official reason for termination. For over 3 months I have continued to receive "we are working on it and will get back to you". A while back they solicited me for a positive Google review to offset their many negative reviews. I could not in good conscience give them a positive review at that time. I held my tongue in hopes that things would get better so I could give a positive review. Unfortunately they never did and I was forced to post this review. Overall opinion: Barrister is a large, legitimate company with a lot of good work available. However, the fact that they are unwilling to learn from their mistakes is holding them back from being a truly good company. I would caution both techs and end users to not deal with this company. I can almost guarantee you will not have a pleasant experience.

Anneurys Williams

Worse company to work in the United States this guys pretend no pay to the technician they even don’t have a payroll department you can’t talk with somebody about payments I don’t recommend this company

Xavier González

In the last year I made a strong and solid business relationship and I been involved in different projects and daily tickets as freelance I been used a different platform and my personal experience with Barrister I can said that it is a growing company with a thrusted platform dedicated to create a best IT customer experience.

Jamar Phillips

I am very please with this company overall performance as well as the communication and services that it provides to their technicians..I give a score of 5...Richard phillips

Felix Rodriguez

This place is amazing.

Steven Martinez

Poor Service and ridiculous... wow seriously.... ridiculous

david bradley

I have been an independent contractor with Barrister for over ten years. This relationship has been very beneficial for me. Barrister has always been very very professional with me. I have always been paid on time, and always been paid what I have earned.

George Miller

Can't believe there is a more underhanded, lying organization than this one run by John S. Bowers III and Gerry Solis. All you will get from these two are promises that never fulfilled. However they will tell you time and time again what an ethical and Christian company they are. DON'T BUY IT! This is also a lie.

Dan Polk

They WON'T STOP CALLING my technicians who don't work there anymore. They don't listen, call repeatedly, and according to the tech, take forever to pay. Horrible company to deal with in my experience.

Rahim Salahadyn

I have been doing contract work through Barrister for about 3 years. For the most part things have been very positive, and they have kept me working. It has not been easy, but I can say a learning process on both sides. There is no perfect business it's all give and take you learn and you move on. If you are a good tech Barrister could be a good fit. They could do better at answering the phone. Tech support sometimes takes forever to answer. Here is the scope: Don't let barrister double book you, or over work you. If you do the work, study your craft before you go to site, and send the return parts in on time. you will have very few problems. If you cant do the work, say you cant do the job. If you don't want to do a job, just don't take the job. This is the way to have a great experience. For the most part I have had a good experience with barrister. I am happy with barrister.

Nick Newberry

If they call and want you to do work for them turn and run they don't pay enough and quite frankly are rude. but if you like devaluing yourself and have far more money than brains go for it. This is the one IT company in the world where you can pour your heart and soul in to the work and wind up working 16 hour days for about $3 per hour.

Erica Winstead

I have been employed with them for a year now and it was going great until this summer. I rubbed Sonora Balliu the wrong way and she fine me with a fee on my account for a no show. I had hired a contractor to do the job with me and they had to leave. Meaning I had to leave to because they rode with me. I told here I could go back to do the job myself and she was not going for it. Now I have done 5 or 6 jobs since with no pay and no one can explain. Good luck with human resources because there is none. You have to email everyone in the company and there is no contact numbers. I was not provided with documentation concerning being fine or how much I owed and how much they have withheld from my pay. That's got to be illegal. Im seeking legal action now against this company. Seem like their call center is in India and they don't care because people can't figure out how to contact their managers or HR.

Allen Campbell

I have been doing jobs arranged through Barrister on and off for 5 years now. I have seen the company go through hurricane Katrina and build back up. The company has never given me anything but exemplary service, they have always kept me moving from job to job. I only had one time where a payment was excessively late, but it was not their fault. The vendor had held for review that particular job and they were waiting on the customer to reply to their survey (I did get paid by the way). The Barrister app they created was a fantastic tool which helps us check in and out of jobs quickly and efficiently. It allows us to find jobs in our areas to sign up for too. TL:DR Barrister has grown to become a highly professional service which us a great group to work with.

Patrick Trujillo

Although I'm extremely new, my experience has been great. The support staff has been very supportive. They have made my start with company very assuring.

David Brion

Worst company to do subcontract work for. They will try not to pay, Keep you on hold for ever and only pay per trip so how long it takes you they do not care. Do not work with these guys.

Steve Graham

I have worked with Barrister for enough years i can't remember when i started, but i have noticed a number of negative reviews lately and wanted to respond to them. Barrister has been a responsible partner for me over these years, with a few bumps in the road, some caused by my carelessness, some caused by business model changes at Barrister, and some other things. But i have found that Barrister keeps working at improving their system. They respond to complaints about their processes, they pay according to their timeline (i am on the 30 day payment plan) and call me when there is a problem with my work that we need to correct. I have found the ability to schedule my work according to my needs to be a major benefit for my lifestyle, as i help care for farm duties, child care, and friends and other customers that have emergencies that i can sometimes fix for them. I do wish there were other technicians that would work for Barrister so they wouldn't call me to travel 2+ hours to service a printer that only takes 15 minutes of time. I believe it is hard for Barrister to recruit reliable technicians. How does a company test for responsibility in it's contractors? It is true that there are sometimes long wait times to reach the technical support people when there are problems with the job. I have used various ways of working around those problems, with good success. It is also well known that people who have negative feelings about things tend to be more vocal than people who have positive feelings about things. For example, me. This is the first time i have rated Barrister in the many years i have contracted work for them. But since i enjoy fixing things, enjoy problem solving, enjoy getting people back to work using their electronic devices (printers, computers, networks, etc.) i have enjoyed working with Barrister to do these things. It is true that Barrister squeezes as much work as it can out of it's contractors for as little money as it can pay for it. I have to be as knowledgeable as any contractor to make sure i make money on each job. Sometimes i win, sometimes i lose. There are times in the bidding process we use to set the pay for each job where i have to say, "If you can find someone else to do the work for less, go ahead. I have given you my price.", and depending on the job i sometimes (often) get called back and they agree to pay me for my bid. If there were more technicians nearer each job, they wouldn't have to pay me so much to travel there! And i make more money, percentage wise, for jobs that are less than half an hour's drive from my location. So all you reliable technicians out there that can schedule break-fix jobs for tomorrow, sign up. I get tired of travelling 6 hours to do jobs that at least a handful of people within 15 minutes of the job could do.

roderick mabry

I cannot in good conscience give them any stars although I had to give one just to post this. Be warned! They will take your money. I have been charged over $1100 to date for what they deem "wrongly labeled parts"....they received the parts, deemed the labels "wrong" for some reason and decided that it would be a good thing to charge me over $400...per part! They refuse to answer any emails with a straight answer and just repeat the tired line "That is our SOP" They are impossible to get in touch with, offering only a long stream of email addresses that are repeatedly ignored. WARNING: DO NOT WORK FOR BARRISTER UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING CHEATED

Future Mindes

If there would be zero star option I would choose it.They will not pay you for your work.Be careful and they are scam as well.

Roberto Solis Rodriguez

The employees of this company are not in the USA since there is an 8 hour difference. They can barely speak English, they are completely unorganized and are never on the same page, multiple techs call you about the same work order sometimes, they are very inconsisten! I have done work for them and have not been paid for 3 orders and as a result they charged me penalty fees so thAT THEY WOULDNT HAVE TO PAY ME!!! I HAVE EMAILED AND ASKED THEM TO LET ME SPEAKE TO A MANAGER BUT THAT DOES NO GOOD BECAUSE THE WILL TAKE WEEKS TO REPLY BACK!!! I am so disappointed at the level of service they provide!!! Do not work for this company, they where sued last year for non payment to a TECHNICIAN!!!!

daryl jones

This has got to be the WORST company in the US. They are so disorganized and full of do's and don'ts and don't follow their own policies. Worst. Worst. Worst. Most of all they act like you are only working for them and you can spend countless hours on hold to tell them you finished the job. Not only to get charged for not calling in. Ugghhhh

David Schofield

I like to investigate future employers. In my research, Barrister Global Services Network gives their address as 14042 Barrister Way, Hammond, Ls on their website. So I decided to look at their facility on Google Maps. I could not find a Barrister Way in Hammond, La. So I decided to look them up by name. Google Maps directed me to 42548 Happywoods Road which turned out to be a vacant lot. So, I figured that this might be a scam. I did not apply to their company. If what I have seen concerning them not paying their Techs, I can only assume that my supposition is correct.

Steve M

These people will try not to pay the technicians for their work

Bryan Woldridge

Won't pay their technicians. Poor Service.

Josh Meade

me and my team was tech's with them and we get called to do a Data Center job which was fine we were set to have 2 tech's my self and one other go along with us the pay was ok $30/hr 9 hour days 5 days a week for 20 days well we were booked and then we get an email saying job/trip canceled so i call and email my contacts on the WO and took 2 hours to hear anything back we were told that the site manager found some other tech to fill out spot as we did not reply to their email which we did. This makes the 3rd job they done like this so don't work for them or use them. The Reps on the phone are not even fully from the US I would almost bet their over seas which i don't have an issue with but everyone I talk to can't speck good English. So if you want to be ripped off and/or scammed and even spammed on the phone then work for them other wise run very fast from them

rick eastman

I have been working for Barrister for a little over a year now. My experience has been a positive one. I call Tech Support if I need to order parts and they respond in a timely manner. however Barrister needs improvement on communication. There has been jobs where the RFS was wrong and I had to reschedule the repair. There has been times when the RFS said the parts were at the site but when I called the client the parts were not there and I had to go to a different address to pick up the parts. Also I returned a couple of parts but the post office lost them and I was charged 100 dollars each for not returning them.

Randy Bundy

Worst company I have ever dealt with. They control the technician with their tech support personnel, and should their tech support personnel tell you to do nothing more and not give the customer false hope and leave, beware it it the technician that will not be paid not the tech support personnel!

Richard Jones

These lying thieves are the worst. Cheated me out of money on a job I did for them. They will get what they deserve! Karma!

I did worked for 7 years as independent contractor with this company. Never got any problems with pay. They paid for all contracts they give me. I can always negotiate rates if needed. They also paid all expenses for me to get certified and get necessary security clearances to work on government contracts. This company also paid 100% for my one-week long trip to major computer manufacturer site for training purposes. While on training Barrister also paid me very good hourly rate and covered all my meal and entertainment expenses for that week. They require tech to follow simple set of rules in order to get paid: Keep up with appointments, provide good customer and technical service, submit all information and paperwork in time. Couple minuses: ( that is why i rated it 4 starts only) Long wait for customer service on the phone when calling in to close call ( some times 25-30 minutes but they getting much better now) and low troubleshooting level for initial calls from customers. Often I will come to work site and find that problem not as described in work order. Parts return process is rather inefficient and painful if return label was not provided in original package. Other than that it is a good company to have business with! I do recommend this company to my customers and, so far there were no negative feedback about their service.

Red Hat

Thanks for the review guys and warning. I received a call today and without even checking my skill sets or an interview they wanted me to join the company. That just shows that this company has no wish to hire people based on skills. I even asked for an interview and where can I go to get one. Seems they will hire anyone just to get them on site at a client and then skip on payments I have seen companies and worked for 1 in my past. TAKE A PASS ON THIS AND NOT GET SCREWED

Max Valenzuela

Ive never had a problem with them not paying me, in fact being a tech with them has been quite profitable. aside from a few technical issues, this is a great company and does in fact pay their techs well for the scope of work they are performing. They do enforce return of parts when necessary which is likely why people are claiming they dont get paid, but thats not their fault, if you follow their rules they pay you on time and without hassle.

James Miller

Barrister is an excellent company to work for. I have been working with Barrister since 2007 with no problems. I can highly recommend working with this company.

Mahendra Patel

They are very cheap and those girls do not know what they are doing. I am trying to get my payment and they direct you to e mails.

Afton Brunett

Our company had some previous issues with Barrister that would not warrant 5, 4, or even 3 stars. However, recently they have been very good with customer service and addressing all of the problems we were having with them. They were very prompt at returning our phone calls and getting our technicians set up to go on jobs. Within one day, all of our problems were resolved and we even received a new job call for the next day. Our representative is very courteous and willing to help. Keep up the good work, Barrister!

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! CALL CENTER OUTSOURCED _CAN NOT UNDERSTAND THEIR REQUEST AND LIES>>>

Scott Leath

If you really need a few extra $$$, then ok. Otherwise the biggest draw back is the amount of time you will spend on hold waiting (30 minutes to an hour) for tech support or customer care to answer.

Bruce Rogers

Generally the behavior of the Dispatch, Tech Support, and Vender Relations for the most part has been good and improving. Since late 1990's as an independent technician, who works hard to be very professional what I do, Barrister is showing that same attitude not only toward the customer but toward the technician too. By providing a more friendly environment and professional operations all way round, they will get better in supporting the technician. But still the pay is low by industry standard, I hope they improve on that, however, as long as you know how to repair equipment and follow the rules, you will get promptly paid for work you do.

Charles Carroll

Barrister Global Services support of my company and our customers has exceeded expectations. We have a mutually beneficial relationship to deliver customer solutions on time, on budget and the quality of work by our expert technicians raises our overall customer satisfaction levels!

Al Somlo

ableals - Having successfully completed numerous assignments for Barrister Global for many years we were surprised that they are currently soliciting BAS technicians to leave 5 star reviews for their company. If the technician does the requested work in the agreed upon time frame and sends back requested parts once they receive a return shipping label then the technician will usually receive payment from Barrister Global. Having a large number of staff in multiple locations at Barrister Global and people with different skill levels out in the field doing on-site work on behalf of Barrister Global can certainly cause some issues for both customers and technicians.

WD Shaun Mitchell

In my sole experience, Barrister has negotiated service calls with me. They want the job done, and they want the job done right. There is a team to help you if you get stuck. I have been asked to perform work on site that I am not capable of performing. If you are up to the task, they will pay you.

Mr. Grief

Steven Lowrey

I can tell you why they suck! They like to low ball their third party vendors for IT support.!

Steve Ostendorf

I have worked as contractor with Barrister for over 15 years. They have always been professional, they have always been promote on payment. I look forward to working with Barrister in the future.

third coast

Barrister has been good with payments for me. I have read some of the reviews, but if you do your job right and send back the parts on time you get paid. Negotiate your fee and they will pay. I will add over 10,000 to my business this year.

Steve Parker

Amanda Ragoonath

I love working for Barrister. I`ve been here for over 3 years and we strive for excellence daily to ensure that our customers are handled with priority! We are dedicated people who love our jobs!

Jay M

Working with Barrister has been awe-inspiring, and I was midway through my Master Program and running a small local technology related business when I was invited to become part of the Barrister team, now my master program is over and still working with Barrister. Why, because they provide detailed work orders, back-end support and they do all of the marketing. Most important they prepare projects/work orders that are on time and with sufficient details. What encourages me most to continue my relationship with Barrister is their values, the care and loyalty preserved to their customers. They make it clear that we are here to resolve technology related challenges and repairs and customer service is the most important, and that includes resolving the customer repairs/issues expeditiously. When your values and working standards match then the relationship is a hand shake. Barrister encourages employees, inspires technicians to evolve, they have an outstanding ability to explain and teach.

A Google User

This company is clueless the person I talk to on the phone sounded like they had marbles in there month. Once the tech arrived he did not know were the power sw was.

Michelle Ward

These folks have been harassing me several times a week for over 6 months. I can't make them stop

jr Jones

What a bunch of criminal lowlife thieves! They constantly were soliciting me to do electronics tech work for them in our general area but never wanted to pay a reasonable amount for the job as it cuts into the grossly overcharged margin the charge customers. Finally, a young lady called and begged me to help them as they were long overdue to get a tech onsite and needed me to triage a laser printer problem at a Credit Union that I just happened to know and played golf with one of the executives. I went and did the call for a measly $50 and sent in my report and documentation as the printer needed replaced. Immediately they fabricated a bogus reason not to pay me for the job and then refused to return my phone calls. I have all kinds of pictures, recoded phone conversations and emails proving their ruthless and terrible business practices. These people are the lowest scum and an insult to Hammond LA. I will be contacting the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau as well. Avoid these thieves at all costs as the real crime is that they are raping their customers.

The local business I work for was hired by Barrister to install a motherboard for a residential customer. Post installation, we shipped off the bad motherboard to HP using a return label provided by HP in the packaged they gave us containing the new motherboard. Barrister later called us claiming they were going to charge us 3x as much as they were going to pay us for not providing the tracking information after shipping off the bad motherboard. Not only does it not make sense that they would charge us that MUCH, but they were responsible for initially getting the motherboard shipped to our local UPS drop off office. There was never any mention on how important it was to keep the trackiing information to begin with, shame on us for not keeping it. But how are they not going to have any of that information themselves. Lying, stealing, cheating thieves. They haven't cared to do anything for us or answer my questions.

Chuck Lloyd

I can honestly say that my experience has been a good one. It can get a little frustrating at times, as does anything, but I enjoy the responsiveness when issues do arise. I also enjoy being one of the "go to" techs locally. My payments have been on time, and any issues with parts have been resolved.

RUDE do not use this company. Do not work for this company! there the worst company out there. Called me to do work for them. Want me to drive 2 hours and will only paid me $50. does not even cover the car. on top of that they call me up for jobs and are Very rude people.

Hipolito Inchaustegui

I have 17 years working as an IT field technician. I have 3 years working with Barrister. It is a easy company to deal with, you can handle everything by email or phone. Tech portal could be better, but overall a great place to make extra money.

Meagan Riggs

This is a terrible company to work for. Don't believe anyone who tells you otherwise. I have a friend who started at their office in Hammond, with a long background of management experience, and was appalled by how this company is run. She didn't even work there for a two months. The upper management is money hungry, they fire/lay off people for no reason (I have heard so many stories from various old office employees), and they are obsessed with driving potential technicians to the point of harassment. Good Luck, Barrister. You'll need it with as many terrible reviews as you get.

Lauren Buras

Marvin Merrill

I have work Barrister for the last 6 years. It has been a very good relation. Barrister has several method of payments which make the payment for the job easy. The support has gotten better. Pricing has for work orders has gotten better. Once Barrister has a good tech, they will work with the tech to resolve most problems. I will continue to do business with Barrister.

Mark Heath

I have been working with Barrister for almost 8 years and I have a 5.2 + star rating because I follow the business practices of a good business. I have seen Barrister grow and they have been reasonable and upright in there dealings with me as a partner.

Gary Romero

I have been working for this company for five years and it has been good. I have been in the IT business for a long time. I have read many of the reviews and I will say this about the bad and the good. Barrister is a small business, but acts like any other corporate company. It has it's good points and it's bad points. If you want to work for this company I will tell you why I have had success. 1. I am a good and highly competent contractor and I act like one and conduct myself as one. If you act like an employee, well good luck. 2. I know the rules, procedures and protocols and I keep up with the changes, and I abide by them. Therefore, any problems are very minimal. 3. I understand that when I accept work, it is as a contractor, I negotiate a rate, they give me the rate and I accomplish the work by the rules and document like a contractor, C.M.A., and EXPECT TO BE PAID ACCORDINGLY. 4. I know who is a company employee and who are outsourced. I know outsourced personnel don't always work well and don't really care about us contractors. I don't let them run roughshod over me. 5. As a contractor, I am expected to complete paperwork in a timely manner, manage materials used, quality workmanship, and provide customer satisfaction. I dot the i's cross the t's, take names and numbers, and I make sure the customer has gotten the best from me and is fully satisfied, and if the issue requires additional parts, visits, the customer knows dam well why. 6. I make sure that customer support, dispatch, tech support, payroll(who are mostly outsourced) understand that I am a contractor, a good responsible contractor, and I don't work for them, I am not an employee, and they will treat me as such and I expect them to support me to the best of their ability. I am nice to them, but firm, and I will not take less from them. 7. I do my best at everything I agree to do, I expect the best from the support personnel, and I am not afraid to go right over their heads if the situation warrants. 8. There will always be problems, and knowing who to take them to is essential with this company as with any company. Getting to the right people is key with any company, and they listen, sometimes they don't like it, but they listen. I have gone as high as the owner and I give him a five star. He is tough, he is a businessman with savvy, but he is fair and he does listen and when something goes amiss he reacts instantly to get it fixed. 9. When this company works well it is a five star company, When outsourcing falls apart, the rating drops, but it usually us contractors that see things going to hell and if you don't speak up, well you get what you deserve. 10. The pay can be good, and it also can be bad. I don't accept any offer from barrister. I ask what them want me to do, I know how much work is involved, what my expenses are going to be, any additional responsibilities above the norm; essentially I understand what I am getting myself into. I tell them what I want as a fee, when I can do it, then negotiate. I get what I want and/or am comfortable with, or they can find some one else. And it has worked well for me the majority of the time. 11. The company is a five star for me, but it is hard work and the IT Services business is cut throat. They outsource a lot of work, and that is where this company has it problems, but I understand this and I do not allow that to affect me. I am constructive in my complaints, I am always right and have my facts together before I go head to head with an issue. I document like crazy and I keep better records than they do. 12. if you want to work for this company, then act like a contractor that you are. if you don't know what that entails, then maybe you shouldn't. if you don't know what you are doing, and this work can be intense, then get a job somewhere else.

I have been working with Barrister for almost 8 years and I have a 5.1 + star rating because I follow the business practices of a good business. I have seen Barrister grow and they have been reasonable and upright in there dealings with me as a partner. They have a web page and a mobile app that make each job easier to document so I don't have to call in. They do have high standards they must keep and as large companies can have communication difficulties I think that they have accomplished good dealings with me. Keep up the Good Growing Barrister! I always receive payment.

One can never get ahold of anyone. WORST customer care. I hope they go OUT of business.

I have been with BARRISTER Since about 3 years now they have been very helpful every time. I have been to a lot of places that I never thought and loved these places and did good work. They are a great team to work with Thank You so much and have gave me a gift card for getting 10 on my feed back. Thanks.

I've been working with Barrister for a bit over a year, now, and have been pleased with the association. As a retiree, Barrister offers nearly the ideal arrangement. The arrangement allows me to accept as many, or as few, assignments as I like to my hand in, and to keep boredom at bay, while earning extra money. The varieties of work environments and job types are also quite pleasing: one day in a private home getting a family back on-line, another time getting a bank, insurance agency, or even government office back to work. This diversity of locations on problems may not be for everyone, but it suits me admirably. Additionally, the pay rate(s) have always been acceptable, and Barrister has always paid on time.

This company has been harassing my husband for a month now regarding one work order which he has confirmed 50,000 times. He woke up this morning to discover they had cancelled said work order. They're now calling to ask him about the same work order THAT THEY CANCELLED. No. Just no. This is why y'all don't have a technician in Oklahoma.

I've worked with Barrister Global Services for more than 2 years and loving it. It has given me a lot of opportunities to work with desktop PCs, laptops, and printers which turn into a stable source of income. I normally receive my payments via ACH (direct deposit) about 3 weeks after the jobs are completed . Even though I've run in some issues with payment, I have been able to get them resolved by management most of the time. Technical supports are always available when you get stuck on a problem. I also like the freedom of choosing what I want to work on and when to do it.

Anthony Travis

I have worked with Barrister for more than three years now. I enjoy the work and the challenge. I never had an issue that was not resolved.

NO FIX NO CHARGE PC and Wall Mount Services

All i can say is the majority of the reviews her on this site completely match the company the review is posted about...they are truly in for a return of Karma...what goes around eventually comes around..blood sucking thieves that love to rape and abuse their techs. not paying them for work preformed and the jobs they do pay they try to low ball you with less than minimum wage pay(try more like $5.per hour when you figure in the amount of time that it takes to do the job, travel time and gas you make next to nothing)....so so sad....The IT 's department manager loves to push the blame off on the techs when something fails that was their fault. Causing the tech to be the one paying the huge part replacement fees and sometimes whole unite fees and to make it worse they charge three times that amount to the tech.......wow so sad Barrister is due for a major lawsuit....if it happens i am their believe that...and on top of all of that Barristers call in system has you waiting hours before you get a response..and to top it off Barrister is so unorganized............ My advise is to not work for barrister as a tech and if you do have fun getting pay......Cause you'll give them 100% but they give you nothing in return including your pay so sad.........

This company has an ongoing problem with putting unqualified people in command who don't know their jobs from a hole in the ground

Recently back in April I went to work for Barrister Global Network Services. A IT support company basically. I was recruited away by there SVP of Sales John Bowers III. Through a few conversations we discussed the direction of the company’s and it’s history with lack of performance of the sales side and how he wanted a partner in growing that business. For the first week to 10 days it was great. Dream job, a place where you not only had a voice but it was herd. However, that quickly changed. Somewhere in dreams, I assume there was a expectation of 300 calls a day. Nope, not a typo 300 calls a day. I was to be calling on companies the size a Square, Presidio, All Covered, Pool Corp, TekTrendz, to name a few. All while researching who to call and tracking them down, but 300 a day right. All with out any real training as I made it very clear I knew nothing about IT. I asked for 90 days to learn product and never got even so much as a price list of what stuff cost. Now we talked (John and I) and I thought there was some understanding as to how that was impossible and somehow the number unknown to me was moved to 150. Still as impossible while making real phone calls and talking to people. John became very negative in his daily emails to myself and another girl who did the same as me. Every day being told how bad you are is a great work environment. I wish I could say things got better but I didn't. I was separated from the company last week for yep not making enough phone calls. And for opening YouTube links that John himself sent me to view. To top it off we negotiated a final amount for my last paycheck in which he never paid me for. He we back on the deal and NEVER paid me the money owed. Never deal with this man.

Devon Andry

Great pay! Job took longer than expected but me and the other 2 techs were generously compensated! If you follow their standards u will have no problems

John .

Is this company real? Barrister sent me work assignments... yet there was no real way for me to accept the assignments. There are numerous complaints online about this company. I have tried to contact Barrister with no success. The company appears to be a scam all the way around.

Alan Engle

I used to work my tail off for this company. Even though the pay was terrible, the red tape horrendous, and they would still find a way to stiff you out of yor pay. I'll never work for them again!

Robert Nath

This review is more specific to Dominic Fredrick, recruiting specialist at Barrister Global Services. I have been dealing with Barrister on-going 8-10 years and though there has been communication issues with Dispatch and Technical support, the one person I found to be on top of things is Dominic. If I have an issue he helps to get it resolved which is a big plus for me. I still deal with barrister despite some of the issue because I know there is a person I can go to if a serious issue arises. When you deal with a large company like Barrister, employing/subcontracting thousands of people there is going to be issues that come up. As long as I am confident these issue will be resolved I will continue to work with Barrister.
