REVIEWS OF Apple Leawood IN Kansas

Mark Jacobs

Great and quick service, even though this place is always humming and full of people!

Stuart Riley

Are you an Apple user? Leawood's store offers all of the products, some display areas for viewing all the items, and plenty of service for already purchasers needing help or assistance. It's a great experience.

Rebecca Music

I scheduled an appointment online and got right in. I prefer this location over the Plaza bc it's easier to get to.

Deb Herr

Always a wait, even if you have appointment! So take your Patience with you. But once, there you will receive excellent service and quality advice.

Ruben Wu

Very dissatisfied with this location. Invested lots of money on apple products and they were no help in helping me fix what was obviously a product issue. Manager is completely unprofessional. Take your business elsewhere where they deal with apple product repairs like Micro Center or Best Buy.

Le Roy Rind

Tech was nice and helpful. If I owed any personal apple devices he would be my preferred tech. He was very understanding of the business associated needs I had.

Alyxandra Gideon

Marvin and Chris were extremely kind and helpful to me on a day where everything was going wrong. They helped me get a new phone and set it up even though they were near closing time. Excellent customer service!

Rachel

We waited over an hour just to get an appointment scheduled, meanwhile employees are too busy chatting with one another and running to get coffee next door to help the customers. Unbelievable!

superherocrank .

Nice store just what you would expect friendly people and clean environment.

Corey Bartlett

This is a great place to come and play with everything Apple makes. Beware through, available expertise may not help with what you need. Came to the store with questions, each question sent my helper running to find someone else. Questions got tough enough, the geniuses from the back were consulted. What was I trying to do, you ask? Buy an iPhone X and transfer content from old Samsung to new phone. Process was going to take 14 hours at current WiFi speed with n store. 2 hours into the process and 10 mins before store closing, was informed the transfer shouldn’t be canceled and there was no other method to send me on my way with a working phone and at a minimum, my contact list imported. So I bought the phone, spent 10 mins in parking lot and solved my own problem. Contacts loaded and I was on my way.

L Mont

I have been here a couple times. It depends on who you get how the experience is. I like the products but not always the service!

Joshua Aarnes

Apple just does such an incredible job of hiring knowledgeable, helpful and kind people that are great at what they do. This store is no exception to that. I am always able to walk in and usually get help unless it’s with a bigger issue that requires an appointment. The staff here is always great and I’ve never had a bad experience upon multiple visits!

Thai Lam

Great customer service.

Alice Butler-Smith

Industrial, dehumanized, and unfriendly. Emphasis is on efficiency and not customer experience - as evidenced by the absence of seating near products, the lack of communication or basic understanding between sales and tech employees. Get them in, make the sale, get them out. Customers are there for the company, not the other way around. If you expect to learn about products in order to make an informed decision about what to purchase, go to Best Buy or another company that sells Apple. The staff in this store are not interested in education, or service. I will never darken that doorway again and will discourage the rather large number of people I come into contact with as a result of my work to shop elsewhere. I have never spent thousands of dollars and not received even a thank you. Apple need to review the strategy guiding their interface with the public. Henry Ford was more human-centered in his thinking, and a doctors office is more welcoming.

This was my 3rd trip in with battery problems. They do not want to help resolve them. Apple is full of double talk. I have an Apple 6S. The battery life last about 4 hours. That he indicate that my battery is performing at 98%. Apple needs to do a better job with customer service is they are going to drive this customer to android products. I was told that because at some point 1 1/2 years ago before their battery issue was disclosed or known I had the battery replaced at Batteries Plus. Apple would not replace the battery under the 30.00 program. They would open and reject replacement Shame on apple for being anti-consumer.

chris brigham

The store was very nice and busy. Great customer service

Julie Stark

Wait too long and they couldn't fix a 2 years old Ipad

Allyson and Brian were great. Thanks!

Helpful. Adequately staffed.

This store has the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. Half the employees were standing around doing nothing, with blank looks on their faces, including managers. Upon entering no one greeted me so I approached someone. I was told to sign in with the person he pointed to, which I did. That person said it was over an hour wait. All I wanted was to replace a cord under warranty. I still had to wait, so I take a seat. After a short while I noticed several employees doing nothing, including what they call Genius Bar employees ( a name change would be appropriate for most of them ), so I approach one. He can’t help me and mumbled something and walked away. After waiting a few more minutes I approached other employees. I was hell bent on getting the right person. After a while someone helped me. He first said my warranty had expired. I questioned that then he said he couldn’t find the purchase. When I purchased the cord two + months prior I was told I didn’t need receipts because our purchases are in their system. Their process is so confusing and ridiculously unnecessary. If they had a better system of processing their customers, it would be a win win. Another thing I noticed while there that after seeing approximately 20 employees, none were women. There could also be better dress code standards. Sloppy, unkempt looking for the most part.

Stopped by to have a battery changed in an IPhone. They were too busy, and I understand that part. I had to make an appointment to get the battery changed out and was very clear when making the appointment what I needed. The store is well over an hour from where I live. Went to my appointment and they inform me that they’ve been replacing a lot of batteries and didn’t have ours in stock. Gave me some garbage excuse about not knowing what the demand for them would be. We made an appointment, why was one not set aside specifically for my appointment? Now I have to waste another day making a special trip for yet another appointment. A serious waste of a large amount of my time.

keisha deguzman

We made a reservation online. And I’m SO glad we did!! It was a Saturday and they were packed. But every associate we talked to were very kind and respectful. They kept our appointment time and resolved our issue fairly quickly. And their public bathrooms were clean and had a changing table #momlife.

Jeff Odermann

I took my daughter's phone in for repairs and wasn't sure what to expect. The store was pretty busy but they were very efficient. I was impressed. They checked me in and I got a text message when it was getting close to my turn. The tech who helped me was patient, friendly and knowledgeable. He got me set up with a new phone for my daughter and on my way. Thanks for a good experience!

alex drescanu

John, one of the managers at the Leawood Apple Store was very helpful, understanding of the hard situation I was in. And as he put it when with disbelief I asked him “How come this situation changed?”, expecting a disappointing defeat on my end, he said “it is the right thing to do”. Great customer service! I appreciate all your help, John. Thanks!

jumana mohammad

We waited 45 minutes to get service even though we made an appointment 4 days before. They told me my phone (iPhone 6s Plus) had a chemical problem with my battery and said that my phone had been bent, not by me, but by the swelling battery in my phone. The person helping us said he would send it in to get it tested for any water damage or damages caused by me. The testing came back as twisted and bent but we had even told them that it was not my fault but the swollen battery that had bent it. They even claimed that it is virtually impossible to bend a phone without great effort. My phone was also in an otter box protected case which prevents any damage to the phone and I had not even taken it out of the case. So they were going to charge us 300$ to buy a whole other phone for damage that was not even caused by me but caused by the manufacturer. I do not recommend buying apple products because they do not serve the purpose and they will try to get as much money from you as they possibly can. Reviews on zdnet and cnet also claim to have problems with iPhone 6s and 6s Plus and their bending issues. Apple is blaming me for the issue of bending when it was their fault and we even told them. The person who helped us at apple had even told us the chemical in the battery caused it to swollen up which caused the phone to bend, but Apple chose not to believe us.

This location has an amazing staff! Couldn't have asked for better service & friendliness. Kevin Champ, Manager Daniel, and Gabe each truly made this visit stress free & easy in their own way. We have been to multiple Apple stores across the country, but the service here was the best we have found. Thank you so much guys!

Kimberly Kayhill

Very efficient! Great service!

Michael Witt

Wow....talk about a downhill slide. I don’t think it’s just this location. My last several experiences at an apple store have just been horrible and annoying. This was on trend for that same level of craptaculous service as my last several visits. Buy over $1k in merch, get a notice that it’s ready then show up only to wait 15 minutes for someone come over. Then when they do come over they are so rushed and so hurried that they deactivate the phone before using it to transfer the ownership info to the new own with the NFC feature.

Pretty Prudent

Messy business: the staff smells like an ashtray. They’re very off-putting, dismissive and will ignore you. This is the first Apple store I’ve been to that is so unprofessional. They’re usually really good, but not here.

Aaron Farrar

Very friendly. They took care of my needs in a timely manner. Appointment recommend.

I went into the apple store with full intention of buying a new iphone today because the camera on mine does not work. I understand their warranty lapses after one year and I have had the phone for 2 years. The tech told me my trade in value was $400. After being redirected, I ended up with someone who was obviously very new. He redid my sale multiple times and ended up saying my phone was worth $110 not $400. Needless to say he was very unhelpful and they should not put someone out on the floor who has no idea what they are doing. I did not get the new phone and will be going to the other apple store in the future.

Amani R

Staff hangs around the edges of the store avoiding customers, doesn’t help and when they do, they misinform you.

John Fiebich

Nice store

Nichole Fowler

Had an appointment with the Genius Bar at 6:15. We arrived at 6, waited until almost 7, then left. We signed in as soon as we arrived and never got any help at all. You guys majorly dropped the ball. Will NOT go back.

Shorty Washington

Helpful & that store was beauty

Jack Strange

I went to get my iPad fixed. I was greeted nicely, told of the wait, and notified promptly when the tech was available. Lyric was the tech, and he was great! He was polite, professional, and got the iPad fixed. Although the store was packed, no one seemed to rush the customer. Again, my hat's off to Lyric.

Elizabeth Steinbacher

My Apple Watch face popped off one day. I went to the apple store to have it checked out. They met me (without an appointment) immediately. The lady who took my info, directed me to a man, and by the time I walked to him, he held out his hand, “Elizabeth, I see your watch face came off. Let’s get that fixed for you!). YAY!!!! Finally, a place where the right hand talks to the left hand! I LOVE IT! Turns out, it was a faulty battery that swelled and popped off the top. They arranged for me to mail (free of charge of course) my old watch in for a new replacement, all at no charge to me!!

James Brown

Love the products, hate the customer service. The wait time is unacceptable. It is bad enough to drive me to another company. If their software updates are really making old phones consume battery power faster, I will leave Apple.

Antwan Winkfield

I usually have nothing but great things to say about this location and their staff, but today was the first time I left feeling like the worker did not care rather he helped me or not.. The greeter was super nice, but after being setup with a sales person, I got the vibe I was wasting the workers time.. He never introduced himself, there was no effort or motivation to help and I never really felt heard or that he even wanted to help me. All I wanted was to see if there was anything we could do: I pre order both my max and my new watch, I was suppose to get my phone today, but my watch was not set to ship until late October... Once I learned they had product in the store, I ask what was the benefit of me pre ordering. Long story short, all I wanted was my watch and new iPhone. I did not want to wait on the product if it was right there right now. After some do diligence on my own, I was able to get my pre order of my watch canceled and I did get to leave the store with a new one. But there was no effort in trying to help me figure out why my pre ordered iPhone was being held up, (being my expected delivery date was today the 25th). By far one of my worst experiences at the apple store and I’ve purchased a great deal of products and have always left with a smile.

Nice friendly store, apple camp was enjoyable

It depends on who your rep is no matter what you're in there for. Sometimes they are spectacular and other times not really. Today my iPad started wigging out on me and I went in and asked if I could get an appointment. I came back two hours later scared that the visit would be worthless. The tech ran a five minute diagnostic and then said, "looks like it needs replacing." I had AppleCare so I got it, restored from the backup, and set the rest up later. Easiest visit ever. Unlike the visit with my iPhone XR that kept bugging out. After 3 visits I got a rep. who replaced the phone for me. The point is pray you get a good rep.

Kansas Mom

We had apple repair a battery a little over a year ago. Today we came in to fix a cracked screen that was visibly popping out on one side. Come to find out there 2 loose screws pushing on the screen. Apple refused to take responsibility and repair the phone properly. At the end the manager John K asked us to leave his store. Very rood and very unprofessional. I will be contacting regional offices.

Mary Blanton

Quick visit easy fix. Worth the trip. Thank you

Lee Fent

Too noisy to actually hear let alone understand what the clerks were saying. Second trip in a week and I was hoping the week day visit would be easier to handle, but it was just as loud but a bit less crowded. If you're sensitive to noise or distractions, find a different store or bring ear protection. Next time I'll use a different certified repair shop and avoid the headache, literally and figuratively.

Latoya Woods

I don't really care for the place. But if you're an apple lover. I guess waiting for hours to be helped is your thing.

Joel Whitaker

Had appointment and got seen almost immediately. Tech explained what he was doing and my options. Great experience.

Dave Seibert

I purchased Belkin screen protectors for our iPhone X's at the time of purchase, my wife and I broke them on the same day while on vacation. Somehow the receipts where lost (Apple could not find the records) and Belkin was giving me a hard time with the warranty. I talked to Ryan and he quickly made the decision to replace my screen protectors free of charge and just take Belkin out of the mix. The Apple Store in Leawood, along with Ryan and at least three others who I cannot remember made it a very quick and painless process. They did not ask a lot of questions, just took care of me. A+, the best customer experience I think I have ever had.

Leon Lemke

The line to the genius bar was excessive at 2 or more hours wait time. It takes several days to get a scheduled time online. It would appear to me apple should open another location to better serve the customers. With that said, I would give the greeters and support person that I spoke to a 5. I settled on a 1 overall as a compromise since the wait time was too significant of a negative.

Alisa Weinstein

Needed a screen replaced on my iPhone... had to wait 4 days to even get an appointment. Showed up to my appointment 20 minutes early and was asked to leave and come back at the exact time. I left and went to a different store. I won't be back.

brittany nichole

Was there for 3 hours just to get told the wrong information multiple times from different employees. My problem was NOT fixed and my phone continues to not make phone calls like a phone should. My phone was 3 months out of warranty so basically was told I’m shit out of luck. Never going back to this location. All the employees need to be retrained and learn to tell the correct pricing and information to customers.

Susan Kuhn

The most condescending employees I have ever experienced. I will never go back and will tell everyone I can to avoid this store.

John Opgaard

Always get excellent service from knowledgeable staff. Only negative is that they are always busy and crowded.

John Burke

Very nice store salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful very busy place though lots of people

Nicole Holt

This was the absolute worst customer service experience. From the time we walked in. We made an appointment and checked in upon arrival waited almost 30 minutes then I went and found an associate who then told me they canceled my appointment because they said I didn’t check when we did check in then we finally got to talk to someone and they took our phone to fix the screen then called us as soon as we left to tell us the phone that they had replaced about a year ago had water damage supposedly even though we’ve never had it around water and it’s supposed to be water resistant too. The whole time we were there they were really rude to us I will never return to this store again. I wish there was zero stars for this but since the lowest I can do is 1 star.

Priya Patrao

All I wanted was a battery replacement on my iPhone 6. I went in one day and was asked to make an appointment. I was NOT told that I’d have to leave my phone with them for 2 hrs st least. So when I went in for my appointment 20 minutes early, I was told I won’t be seen until 5, so I chose to leave the store( it’s usually too crowded in there). Went in a few mins before 5 and was asked to sit at a table. I sat for about 27 minutes! Then this guy came to help but after the diagnostics said I could leave my phone and pick it up after 2 hrs. I said what was the appointment for? Why wasn’t I told this? He said it takes time and so I could make another appointment, for another day, but then again it’s to drop off! I don’t feel comfortable driving around without my phone! I had planned my evening around this and had things to do, but had to cancel it all only to go home and have my husband go back and get my phone! Lots of people were just made to sit at the tables waiting on a team member for a long time! Apple needs another store, this is too crowded all the time! Not friendly staff either!

Melissa Mae

All the workers are just standing around trying to avoid eye contact after customers walk in. Seems like everyone is just hanging out. Terrible service.

Joanna Wilkinson

It's loud, busy and confusing. Took an hour to decide my 22 month old device has an "unidentified" hardware failure. 22 months. Their only option is replace the device because I was never offered the "our quality is shoddy so buy this insurance" plan, so this piece of junk means I dislike Apple even more than I did before. Beware the ipremium you pay, folks, because the joke's on you.

Charlene Jordan

Customer service the best.

Linda Wong

Only Apple store in the metro area, place are very crowded. Service unless you need to service your Apple product is good. Most of the time you will be greeted by the person standing inside just after you enter unless that person is occupied by other customer. Dummies other display samples usually are occupied as the place is on the tinier side Apple store. Price are very overpriced as Apple are quite known for so. If you need to go for more info or but Apple certifies product or service this is where to go. For service it is recommended to get appointment first otherwise wait can be super long.

Enigmatic User

Worst Apple store I've ever went to. The employees literally try to avoid helping you when you walk into the door even if you have an appointment. These are also the rudest employees that I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Shop elsewhere!

Beth Anderson

You’d think a technology company like Apple would have a better way to notify people that they closed the store due to inclement weather other than a note taped to the door. After checking online that you were open, we drove here to find that helpful note. :(

Noah Berkenwald

Horrible service! Girlfriend had appointment at 4:20, waited for hours, went up to see what was going on, was told they couldn’t find her in the tiny store, in the seat she never left! She was also the only person of color in the store at the time... They put her back on the queue and after some more time they finally checked out the phone. They told her it would be repaired by 6:45. Come 7:20, they can’t find her phone! After more time was wasted, they found the phone, and told her it would take another 20 minutes to be completed! I would suggest if you need your phone repaired, DO NOT go to the Leawood location.

Christopher Christensen

1st time Apple iPhone pre-order purchase went very smooth. But the place was a mad house. The sale assoc. was great. Trying to add on a watch to my purchase was not an easy task since I didn't get a pre order. I took care of this on line so no big deal

John Riedel

Very knowledgeable people you guys rock

Aaron Ricard

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE that is the worst customer service I have ever had. I have never seen such a pathetic excuse for every question asked. not only did they not fix the problem (cracked screen) but they didn't or couldn't even figure out there own policy. Management there is worthless as well. Changing stories, not sure which policies to tell us about. What a waste of a retail store Glad I have Android

Brian

Waited forever for someone to help me. Guy brought out the wrong phone, which I caught. He returned it to the back and then came out with proper phone. Turns out he fat fingered things on his point of sale device and I was locked out from being able to get a new phone. He sent me to the att store to resolve the lock out. I then had to go back to apple and wait forever. Same lockout was present so I couldn't buy a phone. They told me to come back this weekend and see if it was any better. I want my 4 hours back.

Bryan Moroney

So busy yet great service!

Fantasia Lashon

Smooth transaction to purchase replacement phone

Keeva Hartzell

The first visit I had to the store was to send my phone off to be repaired and the girl who helped me was a dream come true. When I got an email my phone was ready to be picked up, I came in to drop off my loaner phone to find that my phone hadn't been repaired at all. Their excuse for not telling me they couldn't repair my phone was that they were afraid that I was going to steal the loaner....Not to mention, they would have charged me $150 to fix an issue that was caused by Apple on the iPhone 6 plus screen called "touch disease". Their excuse was that they couldn't fix the screen because there were "third party parts" installed even though my mom got the iPhone from At&t. Sounds like a bunch of excuses to me. The guy said my only option was to buy an iPhone 6 plus for $300 and they would have to order it because it wasn't in stock. Long story short, I left the store with a broken phone. Thank god for Quest Wireless in Waldo because if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have any options other than overpaying for a phone that might not even end up working in the first place.

Emily Baker

Super honest people. I thought my hard drive was done for and left my computer with them overnight to fix it. I signed the consent form allowing them to do the work and charge me the big bucks. They called later and told me that wasn't the issue, they fixed the real issue and I didn't owe them a dime. Very happy with the service, wait time and communication.

Michael Chavez

Good service. Had to wait a while.

Holly Peterson

The people are helpful & get to the point.

Audrey Warters

Thoroughly disappointed in customer service both at this location and with Apple in general. I have a cracked iPhone screen and non-functional FaceID on an iPhone X. After purchasing AppleCare+, I was told I could replace this device/receive discounted repairs with the two year warranty. About a month ago, I contacted customer support over the phone and they suggested a replacement device. They placed a $900 hold on my credit card as the new device shipped ----- to the wrong location. Yes, to the wrong location. This took two weeks to fix (and to lift the hold on my account) without shipping an actual replacement device to the correct location. After this fiasco, I decided it would be better to have the device either repaired or replaced in-person, so I scheduled an appointment and drove 40 minutes to Apple Leawood. Here, they discovered someone had made an error when setting up my AppleCare coverage. This took 2.5 hours (with no notification of how long the wait would be while I sat in the store waiting) to escalate, only for them to tell me that I would need to return again to pick up a replacement device. I was told this would take 1-2 days, so on the second day, I called the store to see if the device was there. It was not, and I was told there would be a delay. I waited another week before calling again. It took two hours to answer a 2 minute question about whether the device was there or not (it was, but they needed additional information, and also wanted to repair my screen before giving a replacement. This could have been done two weeks ago, when I was physically present in the store.) This is an issue that should have been resolved quickly, especially since I paid $200 for AppleCare+ to ensure that quality service would be provided. Will not be returning to this location again and will probably not purchase another Apple product in the future. Horrendous time-consuming experience.

Scott Weidemann

I just had the dumbest experience at a retail store I have ever had. I walked in, told the greeter I wanted to buy an iPad, she sent me to the iPad table and said someone would be with me. I stood there for 15 minutes waiting. Now during this time there were never less than 5 employees who were just standing around. I went to remind the hostess that I was there and wanted to give them money and again got a response that someone would be with me shortly. Waited another few minutes then finally left. If you know what you want, I would avoid at least this store and just do it online.

Karen Kay

Love this Apple Store! Everyone is kind and helpful. The overall vibe here is lively and upbeat. I have taken several classes at this location, they are informative, inspirational and free! Gotta love that. A shout out to Chase, his enthusiasm, knowledge and teaching style (and patience, lol) caused me to take the leap into the world of Apple products. I am now the proud owner of an iPad, pencil, keyboard and Procreate. I'm in art heaven! Thank you, Chase and thank you Apple store in Leawood!

Eileen Block

Great help. Fast service. Resolved my issue very quickly.

Abigail Cullipher

this store is a bigger joke than the products themselves. #android

Jeff Lager

Place is very busy! Support from Apple on my 8S Plus was exceptional.

Blake Hudson

This place is popular! Expect to make an appointment if you need service. Employees have always been on time and helpful.

Ålí Émråñ

Store has lots of space, lots of customers, and friendly customer service for shopping and straightforward inquiries. However, techs don't seem very knowledgeable about hardware and software issues. Genius bar may take their sweet time figuring out the issue, and sometimes may totally fail. Allow for extra time if you are visiting for troubleshooting or repair.

Roderick Johnson

Always helpful, not sure why people have bad experiences in the Apple Store. I always get in and out quickly. I’ve always been greeted at the door and the employees are aware of their products and knowledgeable enough to help you make an informed decision about your purchase.

Joe Moll

Very helpful. Lots of people in there, so you know it's a good place to do some shopping.

Jessica Parks

The staff here was awesome! I told them I needed to be in and out within 15 minutes and they got me the Apple Watch I wanted and got me out of the store within 10 minutes! A man named Chase helped me and was great!

Joshua Stark

Very very busy, the atmosphere is so loud, lots of different things to explore in store, games with TVs on, new apple technologies that are interesting and strange. Greeted instantly when I walked into the store. Had a ten minute wait. Was great.

Mike Conrad

Staff very helpful, quick to get on and out.

Michael Black

Apple is a cult. Get an android and be free of the closed environment.

Nathan Gallagher

The customer service was outstanding (Brandon)

M.C Brimmerman

Great place

jenni richardson

The staffs were very friendly and awesome! I had to fix my laptop screen and the staff offered a better deal. I’m happy about the purchase and their great service!

Stephen Hewitt

Always packed. Call ahead to make an appointment for the Genius Bar. When they give you a time estimate, increase it by an hour. At least there's a lot of stores and restaurants nearby for your wait.

Al D'Antonio

Highly recommend the Apple Store in Leawood. Austin was my Tech and did an amazing job. He brought my computer back to life. Before this aftrernoon it was a expensive paperweight.

Olga Hart

Super great service they replaced our broken iPhone to a new one in 10 mins. I love Apple!

Roberta Daetweiler

I was greeted when I walked in. The gentleman asked what I was looking for and git me the iPhone SMax in a gold case. I was in and out of the store in about 10 minutes. It was super!

William Cheatham

Well trained. Polite. Listen and solve problems for their customers.

Steve Wilks

Great customer service. Zach solved my issue quickly and with a smile. You see why this company continues to be successful.

Kanon Peterson

Stood in entrance for 10 minutes looking for checkin individual and could not find one. Finally interrupted another associate and they said they were in the back. For a company that prides itself on cutting edge this was an epic fail.

Melissa Hogan

This place is really nice but they always seemed to be understaffed and they’re always is a wait. It’s no fault of their own but maybe better appointment management is needed

Richard Dugan-Starr

Trying to replace my battery for iPhone 6s. Scheduled appointment and when I come in I find out they have no battery in stock after they made me wait 20 minutes for a staff member to talk to me about the phone and run a diagnostic test. So not only did they let me come in for a useless appointment that was scheduled 4 days in advance but they also let me wait there for a good half hour before telling me my visit that day was pointless. The guy tried to ease my frustration by telling me since I had the diagnostic tests run I saved my self time for the next visit but I seriously doubt him. I’m sure they will verify the status of the phone again before I can drop it off for the replacement of the battery. Over a week later they email me the part is in and we play phone tag a few times to schedule an appointment. The only time that works for me is another 10 days out. After scheduling the appointment I ask if I will receive an email confirmation the the tech says no because their booking process is really informal. So to summarize. A nearly trillion dollar company is taking almost a month to replace the battery of a device that has millions of units on the market and at no point in the process do they properly make use of automation to track inventory of parts or appointment times or reminders. Good grief Apple get your act together.

Stacy K

Definitely make an appointment before hand, it's a busy place in a busy shopping mall. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Adina Gardner

I would buy another Apple product just to experience the customer service at this store. When I walked in (two toddlers in tow), an associate greeted me with an enormous smile. Each person who assisted me was immensely courteous. I felt relief and gratitude when they kindly fixed each problem I had. Thank-you!

Shirley Cox

Great place but expect a long wait if you need help or even just want to make a purchase.

Luis Leon

Good service

Karthik Kumar

Staff are really friendly. We missed the slot by few mins and they placed me back in queue. Technical Staff have very good grip technical issues of iPhone . Over all it was great experience there. Store is little busy on Sunday.

Janelle Erion

I really thought that I would have to wait an hour or more to get help, but on a busy Saturday I was in and out in 20 min. We had issues with Verizon insuring our iPhone XS because we use the dual sim option and wanted to switch over to AppleCare. We worked with Chris and he was able to get us switched over very quickly. He was even able to answer some questions about the dual sim capability that no one else seem to figure out (No one at Verizon could figure it out).

Donna Anderson

Had to wait quite a while.

Business 101- make a product that doesn’t malfunction after 4 months that cost $1000+. Business 102- if your product malfunctions, quickly and efficiently resolve the issue. Don’t make customers with malfunctioning devices wait over an hour since it may not be their fault, it is yours. Business 103- employees are a company’s largest expense so use them wisely. Observation- my iPhone X is malfunctioning. I drive 30 minutes to your store and am promptly greeted by an employee. I am asked what brings me in and I explain my iPhone is malfunctioning.(I thought I was checking in) He then tells me to stand at a table and someone would check me in. I was a little confused yet agreeable. During my wait I am watching numerous employees walking around talking to each other.(not helping customers) After waiting 5 minutes I am officially checking in. However, I had to explain my issue once again. I am told there is a 1.5 hour wait....Not going to happen. My time is limited due to have a small child and I am trying to complete a task list while my child is at daycare. Conclusion- Please make a quality product to ensure I don’t have to visit your store outside of purchasing (limits employee expense). If you have less employees checking people in and aimlessly wondering around and more employees fixing devices you have more satisfied customers.(greater income) The faster you turn customers with broken devices the less greeters you will need with greater satisfaction numbers. (Yet another cost savings and revenue builder). Thank you for your time.

Literally every single time I go in to the store I never get attended no matter how many people are not with a client . I was in with my girlfriend to buy a new one phone and they just look at me like I’m here to waste time . I get it I look young but don’t judge a book by the cover and tend to all clients as you would treat your most special client .

Tony Kays

Surprisingly not as long a wait as I expected given only two stores in the metro. Been twice now where I was actually trying to get service. Having to make an appointment for some issues is disappointing but acceptable to guarantee you get service understanding some tasks take long enough that they can't do it on the fly. Both times they were able to help us. The most recent time got a little bit of conflicting information as the gentleman guessed some of the dollar figures, if we had wanted to make a purchase we would have been seriously disappointed with the actual figures. Sad the best place to buy Apple products is not from Apple.

Mike Thornhill

Needed to have a battery replaced for step daughter. Was greeted quickly. Had appointment but still had to wait for actual service and was given a tike when the repair would be finished. Ha. Still waited an additional 30+ minutes. Apple people kill me. Spend way too much money on an average products.

Kiarah carter

I have been in this store four times to get an iPhone 8’s plus disabled without appointment. The fifth time was nothing short of irritating I spoke with manager John with the glasses and he insisted on not helping me quicker than 2 and half hours after I told him I lived 40 minutes away. My problem only takes 10 minutes to resolve and he didn’t care. I guess this could have been for multiple reasons along with me not making a purchase. They customer service sucks period who makes someone wait that long for a ten minute project. All apple cares about is money spent and not help with the stupid devices.

marcia hurlow

I was impressed by how carefully our questions were listened to. Just to be absolutely sure we had the correct charger, Larry took us to different laptops and showed us how different years of the MacBook looked.

Joe Hays

It's loud and busy

linda floyd

excellent fast friendly

Jessica Paxton

Great service. Replaced my son’s phone easily as it was under warranty. In and out in a little over an hour

I have to resubmit my review. I just bought an iPhone X after being hesitant due to the price. After 3 weeks, I find my camera had a crack that I know I didn't cause. All my electronics are spotless and protected, so I would definitely know it I dropped it. If wasn't even possible for it to be caused by a drop. I went on Friday during my lunch, and was NOT happy with the resolution. I was offered two options that did absolutely not work for me and were not fair. I had to leave, because I had to return to work. I had a bad feeling all day because it simply wasn't fair. Now I have a $1,000 phone with a cracked camera (didn't affect functionality) for something I didn't even cause. At night, at the least ideal time for my family, I went back determined to not leave until they took care of the issue. I walked-in after 8 PM and asked to talk to a manager. Ryan came right away, and I told him what happened. He was absolutely amazing! He understood the issue, was eager to resolve it right away. He told me they would replace the phone but I would have to wait for someone to be able to help me - which I was totally fine with. Zak was the genius tech that helped me and he was amaaaazing! Quick, knowledgeable and super friendly. In the past, I've only had phenomenal experiences with this store, and even though the first one on Friday wasn't, I'm still giving it a 5 star because Ryan and Zak deserve it!

Hands down the worst service I have ever experienced. Sent my computer to get fixed 3 weeks ago-with the agreement, they would call me prior to fixing for authorization. This did NOT happen. In addition, I have yet to receive a single phone call from them. The only way I found out was by calling customer service to see why no one has contacted me. Customer service has contacted me 3 times letting me know the store would get in touch with me. This has still NOT happened. They fixed my computer without authorization and just found out it is back at the store and still have not received a phone call. As a person who works 50+ hours a week, getting in contact with customer service constantly is not an option let alone hunting down my computer. I will never be purchasing another Apple product again. Horrible and stressful experience. Horrible management at this store.

Kaitlyn Sterneker

Terrible customer service. They took my name down wrong, which caused a delay in checking in. The delay caused me to be pushed back in line, and was told to wait at the Genius Bar. Was waiting for over 45 minutes before I finally took initiative and grabbed someone’s attention so I could be helped. Their mistake added almost two hours to my day and they made no attempt at acknowledging their mistake or apologizing for showing absolutely no care for me. I witnessed multiple employees standing around, making eye contact with me, but walking away and multiple employees standing around doing nothing.

Steve Kirk

We had a genius bar appointment on 09/23/2018 at 11:10 A.M. to replace the battery in my wife's Iphone 6s. We dropped it off and picked it up two hours later. We live about two hours away and on the way home we discovered that the phone was not charging and it eventually shut down. I have been unable to get through to the staff at the Leawood store because there phone number routes you to Apple Support and you can never reach the actual store. Essentially, we drove to Kansas City and paid the Apple Store $30.00 to break the phone. I just want our money refunded and I don't want a cheap cable or phone case.

I have owned 3 touch screen iPods and have loved them all. I love music and have purchased thousands of songs on Itunes. But after today I think I will not be investing any more money into apple products. My boyfriend purchased my last ipod for my birthday and I just had to give it up because I did an iOS upgrade which apple makes you do or they no longer work eventually so I was told. The not so funny thing is that every time I do the upgrades it downgrades the functionality of my ipod, but non like the one I got yesterday. My iPods touch screen stopped working properly and everything was slower to respond. I went to this store and was told to reset it and that once I did this from the time it was last backed up all my music would not need to be downloaded again. She was wrong and did not seem to have time for me anyway and told me to do the reset myself. Not only was i missing downloaded songs but it would not let me download my music at all. I have been dealing with apple support, and the store from 10:08 today until after 6:00 today. Apple makes you get upgrades that screws up your devices. Or makes them less than what they were. When I came back to the store there was only one guy that realized I'd been waiting for so long to solve this issue everyone else was going to make me wait another hour and 20 minutes. Now I have another ipod and it is having the same issue. I believe it is the software update that has to be put on. My ipod was in perfect working order before this update and the apple "genius" I use that term very lightly. I have lost thousands of dollars but I won't be back. I should have taken it to best buy maybe they know apple product better than apple. And except for the guy that helped later no one else seem concerned that I had been waiting from 10:08 to after 4:30 and was going to have to wait another 40 minutes for an appt when I should not have had to come back a second time.

Their employees are very nice and answered all questions for me.

So I get the whole apple store concept being like a fun social gathering/experience or whatever. I just don’t like it. I’m giving three stars because though their system is extremely unorthodox, they did deliver the computer I came to pick up promptly without any major hang ups or problems. However, because there are no lines or clear physical indicators of where to find an employee who could help or where to pay, it felt very chaotic and confusing and I had no idea how long it was going to take. So even though I don’t prefer how they operate, I’m impressed that somehow they make it work and get the job done. The employees themselves were very friendly and helpful.

Alison Tichenor

I went to the store without an appointment and they reset my iPad right there on the spot!

Elle Eff

It’s a pretty standard Apple Store. My words of wisdom is to make sure you make an appointment. I have waited hours thinking during the business day it might be slower but, depending on the difficulty of our customer’s issues, you can be there for awhile. You may have to wait for a bit after your appointment time but it’s definetly the better option. This place is super busy but the staff are very friendly!

Greg Bynum

Made an appointment online, staff from the front door through the process very professional, friendly and helpful. Great experience

Roger Cline

I love all things Appke and this place is nearby so I can go there for classes, repairs or just browsing easily.

Jack L

Very helpful

Lucas Ochs

Wait time was excessively long, and but when I got serviced the employees did an adequate job. The employee at the "Genius Bar," however, sent me away with some incorrect information on a 3rd party app, which wasn't ideal. They were relatively polite and as professional as could be expected, however.

Today I experienced something that I’ve never seen in an Apple store, which is the frustration shown on the face of their management. It was a busy day but even that, they usually handled that pretty well. The lady at the door did her job of greeting customers but when she referred a question to the gentleman I assume to be a manager, he wasn’t the nicest guy who gave his answer, given that a customer was standing right to him. I still love this company and hoping this is a one time fluke

Keaton Ward

Excellent store. They have a very efficient design that lends itself well to fast service. The staff members are all very knowledgeable and friendly. The repair services are more expensive but you do get a lot of diagnostic services for no cost. Really love this place.

Jacob B

Zack genuis bar did a fantastic job. He needs a raise. Keep it up man! Also Dan the Mac man gets 5 stars as well! Thanks guys!

I took my Apple Watch in when the face literally fell off for no apparent reason. They told me it appeared the battery was slightly swollen. They then called me and said that if the battery wasn’t swollen they would call me because it would not be covered and there would be a fee. The next call I got was to tell me my watch was ready to be picked up. I asked if the repairs had been made and was told yes. I also received an email stating it was ready to be picked up. I was obviously surprised after I drove 45-50 minutes to the Leawood store to find that they had not repaired my watch. Insurance on items from Apple is useless. I have already paid an exorbitant amount for watch repairs/replacements (the first repair was due to me dropping the watch...which I took complete blame) but get “refurbished” items that are faulty. Apple wants me to pay another $400 to have it fixed. I simply walked out of the store.

Angie Besendorfer Martin

I took my computer in for repair with an appointment, and still had to wait an hour. Only to be told that the part that was supposed to have already been ordered hadn't been, so it was going to take 3 days to get the part, in addition to 3-5 days to fix it. Then I excitedly answered the phone thinking that after 3 days they had finished my computer, only to be informed that they hadn't gotten to it yet and had wasted a whole WEEK, suggesting that they ship it in for repair instead, taking yet another week when it was supposed to be done within 5 days. VERY unsatisfied with this Apple Store, very unreliable.

AVVONDA PARKER

Went in for a repair and I actually spent less than an hour this time.

Betty Dsouza

Just got back from the Apple store.. worst customer experience ever!.. was in there only about 10 min. Was greeted by someone when I entered. Was asked what I needed help with, then was directed to a tech person, and he totally ignored me for a couple min when I approached him, acted like I wasn't there and just continued to talk to a co-worker, then finally decided to acknowledge me because I stood and stared at him. I told him that I was sent to him by the greeter.. and what I needed assistance with, and he told me that he was out of slots for today and that he had an appt Next week Sunday. He didn't seem to want to help anyways. Says he was booked, but just stood there and chatted with co-worker. I just left because it was just the Worst Ever atmosphere. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming. I wonder Why their doors are open? Too too bad and this was actually from the Leawood KS store. Left such a Bad taste in me, too bad.. Apple is supposed to be a great product. They should have some quality control at their stores... pure awful..lol

Emmalee Schaumburg

I made an appointment to get my new battery replaced a week prior to the scheduled appointment. I waited 60 minutes to get help even though I had an appointment. They were out of batteries. So I placed an order. It's been two weeks, no one has called to let me know it has arrived. I am trying to call in to check the status. I've been on hold for 22 minutes.

Sarah D

I went in to buy an Apple Watch today. They were out of stock which is fine, but I needed information about them to try to decide which would be the best fit for me. The person I was directed to seemed to know little if anything about the watches (tall balding buy with beard). I felt that driving to the store was a waste of my time and I could have easily just looked online. I had come to the store for a more personal experience and left very disappointed. I have had several good service appointments at this store and had hoped for a nice buying experience.

Mark Marquez

Like most Apple stores bright clean and busy.

Josiah Gelatt

They were so helpful and fast. I ordered AirPods from them that morning, went to go pick them up around 5 and I was out the door a half hour later. Very fast, efficient, customer service.

Allen Little

Love this Apple store, great staff and fast service. I can definitely say that the energy here is on point

Scott Daniel

Be prepared to wait. This is my third trip in to replace a battery. Now I’m waiting even more. Worse than the doctor’s office

sundeep chowdary

You guys should stop giving soft warning to customers to backup their data before you start working on their phones and breaking them. When you cannot change a battery without destroying the phone you should start giving customers a HARD WARNING(HARD STOP) to back their data first before handing phone to you guys. When customers ask you what if they buy GB and back their data you should stop saying that will be take time etc etc and have to say its a good idea to that. Our personal data is very valuable to us and you guys have to respect it. Please ask your store or any APPLE store to give a BIG HARD/RED Warning to customer to backup data before you start working on them. A soft warning means noting to customers as you say it happens very rarely. Thanks

Soroush r

Typical Apple store. Slow, inefficient. But the staff were friendly and work was done properly.

Ryan B

Absolutely astounded by the service we recieved from this location. My girlfriend needed a new glass phone screen. We had recieved unsavory service at the T-Mobile store, the worker didn't explain the price or anything about it, took her card and swiped it. Although the price was the same at the Apple store ($43) we both felt much much better after coming here instead. I cannot speak positively enough about Brennan, who greeted us with a warm smile asking how he might help, explaining the price and the mfg.s warranty info, and explaining how we might be able to get a better deal (with apple care). Cheers to Brennan!!! We'll be back.

Harrison Deutch

Very nice got a battery replacement for iPhone 6 for $49

Bill G

Very helpful and caring employees! They answer all your concerns and questions that has anything to do with all of Apple's products and if they're unsure, they don't guess.....they ask another employee who would be more familiar with your concern. I recommend you visit this store for anything regarding your Apple product.

Steve Pocock

Spent a frustrating 30 minutes at this Apple Store. Suffered poor quality service, ignored on two occasions on Sunday November 4th. Greeted by door guy, told to wait by the iPad table. Waited and saw no one except staff leaning on walls/displays 'playing' on electronic devices. Approached by some guy, who could not pronounce my name properly, then he vanished. Waited a bit longer and then told the door guy I was leaving and to cancel my time slot. He apologized and said he had called a manager, asked how long that would be, he did not know. I know weekends are busy, but this was crazy. You get better treatment in the Walmart electronics section. Came to get a new iPad + Accessories, left with nothing. Apple needs to do a bit of training methinks.

Ted Jacobson

Payment process insufferable.

Sarah Caldwell

An hour wait, being called a liar bc Apple provides malfunctioning products, if the employees would work rather than hanging out,the girls flirting wiTh the guys and standing around this store maybe good... not seeing that happening anytime soon.

Cori Nelson

Very busy as any apple store. There was alot of customer service agents working so the wait was not that long. We actually walked in at the perfect time & got help immediately. They couldnt help me then but set an appointment so i didnt have to wait when i came back. They also have a very handy feature that alerts your phone when your turn is coming up so you do not have to sit in the store & wait the whole time.

Sara Msemembo

I was hoping just to leave my beats there for repair. After waiting in a line. I found out I needed an appointment. I just don't know why they couldn't have put a broken sign on them, and saved me the trip back. They had all of my information. Their process is inefficient for me.

Britt K

All of my purchases done here. Very satisfied.

Shanna Christopher

If I could do a negative star I would. My daughter went in there for a broken screen and they replaced her phone completely. Normally you would think that was a good thing. Several things: 1) they didn't inform her nor give her the chance to back up her old phone. 2) she went in there to ask why her phone had a different serial number and they told her it was their discretion and the rep had discussed it with her. 3) they couldn't produce the "document" that she signed to prove this was a possibility. 4) No apology (which is what she wanted) just a smug "deal with it" She lost valuable, priceless pictures because of this.

Abby Withers

I came in to get my phone repaired, and was so pleased with the service I received. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Thank you!

Joy Larson

I went in tonight for 2 adapters. Unprofessional, dismissive, very Awkward staff.

Bizu Anjaan

Lo get wait

Rajesh Soraisham

Worst customer service !! I called in at 8 pm and spoke to apple care representative to check if I could still go to the store for a walk in to see someone at the Genius Bar ... the customer care rep called the store and suggested me that the wait time is not much and I can still go ... I reached the store around 8:20 pm ... at the store they were talking in a different tune all together such as “ the customer care set a wrong expectation and bla bla “ ... and when I told him at the end it was all apple people and not me ; I won’t have freaking Drove and wasted my time if I knew this was the case and that’s why I called in to check ... the guy also responded when I said it’s your guys “that our customer care is great and I have no comments on that” funny he also mentioned that there were people from 6:00 pm , clearly he does not know what great customer care is ; why would someone have to wait for 2 hrs + if you had great customer care .... anyways part of the problem is there is only one store in the Overland Park vicinity ... I have already put a case with apple care
