Understandably the backlog for batteries has been crazy, but the manager/supervisor on staff should be able to expedite a battery when a STAFF MEMBER has told the client (ME) that they can do that. Its almost as if they lied to me in order to get me off the phone. Also, for a simple issue like this, I should not have waited 28 minutes to get someone on the phone. Crappy customer service. Unsatisfied customer.

They told me come back after 2 hours for battery change and update. When I came back they changed the battery but no update then I find myself updating my phone in apple store and had to find them to ask question for each step. They even didn’t say sorry.

This Apple Store is very helpful, the employees were very courteous and helped me a lot while I was in there. My sons phone was cracked all the way and I checked online to see how much it would cost to fix it and i went to Apple.inc and it said it was 79$, I went to the store and I picked it up 3 days later. The staff is far from being genious at this store. Went in asking to buy a specific iPhone in cash without a contract and ended up walking out with nothing because the associate bodged it all up telling me I needed a contract. I ended up buying online instead.

The employee I interacted with to return my phone was very helpful. Unfortunately though, he removed th sim card from my Lg Stylo & inserted the i phone sim. When I left & drove to Boost to re activate my phone, he said he needed the sim card that came w th phone.(at. The Apple Store, I'd hoped) So, (with my painful hip joint) I called Apple(luckily they still had it) I drove back to The Plaza to retrieve it, then back to Boost. A lot of extra steps I was hoping to avoid. I hope Apple learned from that experience not to remove an original sim card & insert one into a droid from an I phone!

This location is Apple's flagship in KC. It's a real technological wonder! The centerpiece of this brand new store is a high res display that covers the entire rear wall. The place is full of all the latest shiny gadgets you've come to expect from Apple. From Airports to Watches you can ogle it all; displayed in first class style, with helpful techs and friendly service within reach at all times.

This is the best Apple store in the KC area. The manager is super friendly if you ever have to talk with her and the staff is generally pretty helpful, and as with most Apple Store's, the place is always busy. There is free parking around, but you might have to walk from the parking garage around the side of the complex.

The appointment went well and quickly, however I wish I knew that I could have ordered my battery online and had it waiting for me there instead of having to make an appointment to order a battery. Making the appointment was difficult. When I tried to call the store, I kept getting transferred to tech-support and I ended up being disconnected twice and on the phone for over an hour waiting. I assumed when I went to my appointment I would get the battery, no one told me I would have to order one.

went to my appointment about a phone I bought from another company and was told it was beyond repair. I was told that I could buy a new phone that would be unlocked. Paid $380 for the phone only to find out, the phone isn't unlocked and I have to go back to the same phone company who sold me the first phone that didn't work. I paid $263.99 for the first phone and they are refusing my refund. Also, apple wouldn't sale me the other phone without giving them the one I had. The phone I bought from the apple store was not new, was not unlocked, and I was played!!! If any service person looks in the phone info, it says I got the phone in August 2017. I bought the phone from this store TODAY!!! Was told it's info is from the other phone. I BOUGHT THAT PHONE ON 3/22!!! Then I asked for a refund and the old phone back and was told "all replacement phone sales are final". This has all been a HUGE waste of my time and has tremendously tested my patience! Now, I have to go back to the company who screwed me over to get this new phone unlocked! I will be selling it! NEVER WILL I EVER SET FOOT IN THIS STORE OR PURCHASE ANOTHER APPLE PRODUCT!!! FIRST TIME IN THIS STORE AND DEFINATELY THE LAST!!!!

After waiting 90 minutes for a technician, we finally got Jessie an uncaring, unhelpful and unprofessional technician. His only solution after looking at the phone for maybe a minute was to turn it off and on when it locked up. None of the associates seemed to care either. They were too busy looking at their own phones and chomping on gum.

Retail heaven. Tall ceiling, plenty of space to play with all the tech, and lots of friendly employees. The giant tv is impressive as well. Sitting on blocks, not chairs or stools is a little odd, when getting help. Overall, it's worth a stop in to see what retail can be.

My husband has an iPhone 6sPlus, that has had problems ever since we bought it from T-Mobile. Every time we take it back to T-Mobile, they send us to the iPhone store downtown. Last time it quit working, this store sent him to the one in Leawood. They fixed it, now, it is doing the same thing and T-Mobile sent us back downtown. They tell him there is nothing wrong with it. He calls me while with the person and I couldn't hear him and he couldn't hear me. They told him there was nothing they could do and he could buy another phone. We do not have the money to buy another phone. He needs his phone, he has very serious health issues and needs to be able to call for help when he needs it. These big companies are ruining the country. They take your money and then don't give a damn. I guess it's okay if you have money to burn, we do not. We will not be buying any more iphones. My kid's and their families do no buy iphones, they swear Samsung phones are much better. There are 15 of them, I think we will follow suit.

I made an appointment to take my laptop in the 16th of July. It suddenly was losing charge rapidly, and later crashed that day and got stuck in a reboot loop when I tried to turn it on. When I tried to call the Genius Bar plaza location I was rerouted to a call center and the woman I talked to was very courteous however she was new or not trained specifically to trouble shoot issues, she was friendly and helped me get an appointment set up to come in. When I went in on the 16th the genius staff member who helped me was professional however I still couldn’t get my issue resolved. All he could tell me that I had “hardware failure” and that I had to send it into Apple and that they’d fix it and then bill me with everything that needs to be fixed. He was super helpful when it came to helping tell me what cables I had to buy to get my data off of it. It was unnerving that sending my laptop in meant I could end up with a $800-$1000 repair bill when I can buy a replacement. About a week ago I shipped my laptop across country back home (in the process of moving to the Midwest) and my mother dropped it off at the local experimac since of all the places I called to take it into- they were confident in getting my problem diagonosed first and then I could decide if it was worth fixing and pay for them to fix it. Turns out my battery was on the verge of literally exploding. It was clear to the technition the track pad was raised. Opened it up to find the battery dangerously bloated. I have only owned this MacBook Pro 15 inch retina for barely TWO years. It was the recent model when I bought it, with the best stuff in it so I could use photoshop etc. After the first year and the warentee was up it would randomly crash when I was using blender, photoshop or watching YouTube. I figured dumb me a Apple laptop can’t handle running all these or a conflicting program was causing the restarts. Nope. A bad battery will do that. It’ll also over heat your computer. It’ll also cause your track pad to randomly not work. So in the end Apple Genius Bar allowed me to walk out of that store with that laptop in that condition. I shipped it in this summer weather and I am so blessed it didn’t blow up while in transit with UPS. I am more then willing to buy an Apple laptop with an “ugly” seam on the bottom that means I can replace the battery. I am more then willing to pay them $50 to open the laptop to check it’s hardware, battery and give it a dusting. If Apple is going to make their products pretty and hard to manage then they ought to make sure we can get it serviced. Simple as that. In the mean time until Apple fixes how it’s company is ran I will be buying refurbished laptops from this repair shop since I know for a fact I wouldn’t have walked out of their store with a bomb in my laptop. And yes some people might say “I should have added another $300 for Apple care.” I take very good care of my belongings. Why would I need to pay and make my laptop a $3,000 laptop of paying $2,500 isn’t enough to ensure the battery won’t spectacualy fail after barely TWO years. I want to emphasize again that the people who were representing Apple were professional. However lacked training or specialization to truly help get me on my way to resolving my issue. I still enjoy Apple for what it is. But I don’t have to love the hardware or how the company handles getting customers problems resolved.

I was shocked at how easy it was to go in and have my battery replaced. The representatives were friendly, and I ended up not having to pay for the replacement. For a busy location they are definitely staffed accordingly which makes it easier on the customers to not have to wait for long periods

Does anyone enjoy going to the Apple Store? In my view, it's part of the price of owning an Apple product, so it's sometimes worth doing, but it's never a great experience. It's often packed with people, so it's loud and kind of chaotic.

Less the ten minutes into the wait a well dressed man came in with an attitude and the took him right back to look at his iPad. BS. Next time I'll take the longer drive to the Leawood location. I destroyed my last one by running out the door for work when I tripped and launched my old one down a flight of stairs in the rain! So I was in dire need of a new one!

Nice, efficient and helpful sales staff. Not the case with the person who was supposed to help us set up and pair our Apple watch's. He did the absolute bare minimum. My husband and I felt as though we were being dismissed, probably due to our age. I mentioned I wasn't very knowledgeable about the watch even though this was my 2nd Apple Watch, and he actually questioned why I would purchase another one. The store was actually empty for an Apple Store and we were the only ones at the tables where they are supposed to set you up with your new watch.I called the store and reported the issue and was thanked for my comments.

I expected an Apple store to have professional courteous service. This place was horrible! I went in to replace the crappy battery in my iPhone. I was told it would be an hour wait for my turn and then two more hours to have the battery installed. When I said I was probably through with Apple products, Sam, the representative, said, “That’s all right.” WTH?!

This store used to be very helpful when making purchases and figuring out what and when you can purchase an item. However, on our last few visits it’s been like pulling teeth to get any information at all. They provide as little as possible and rather than helping to make a sale, have simply pointed us to computers to do it ourselves without helping to compare items at all.

Went on 9-8-18 for "genius lab" appointment to have my sons Beats headphones fixed or repaired. Associate that was supposed to help us was racist, rude and downright disrespectful. The store manager conveniently was not available. Wish I could give them zero stars. Will never buy another Apple product based off of this experience.

Very neat store where you can browse or buy Apple products. Just like any other Apple stores it looks very contemporary. Vast space and a lot of displays to look at. A lot of staff willing to assist you. There’s a seating area for your companions or kids to relax while you are shopping. It’s in a great location at the heart of Country Club Plaza where you can walk around after shopping.

I don't generally like the Apple store process, there are plenty of techs just walking around the store with their iPads. However, Tyler more than made up for the wait. Came to this store at the beginning of the year for the battery program. Set up an “appointment” which is really just a rough estimate of a time frame that they apparently may or may not decide to contact you. I was never contacted. So I drove another 2.5 hrs today, only to be given the same option. When I mentioned what happened previously, I was told that “we can’t fix the past we can only do better going forward.” You don’t say? I’ll definitely do better going forward. As a tech guy, I wanted to give Apple a chance after criticizing them for so long on their business model and practices. I got the 6s first year it was released, and was fairly happy for the life of my 6s. But this battery program fiasco is unacceptable. Don’t buy Apple. You’d be better served with a Google Pixel, or an OnePlus phone.

I have been to this store many times, and I had mixed feelings about it. When you buy something, they get to you pretty quickly, but when you need a service, man, it takes forever. You wait, and then they point you to another line, and you wait there, and wait even more until finally they get your attention. I needed to replace the battery. I know it was a hype, yet instead of 1 week of waiting it took 3, and instead of 1 hour repair it takes 3. And there is just one person, ONE. Well, if you don’t have enough staff, get more staff. You know when it’s in great demand, why do you need have long lines? I just don’t like when they tell you one thing, then it turns to be another, and you are on the schedule, that does not make me happy. And the worst is the attitude from the worker like “if you don’t like it, go find something else”. If you want a better experience, go to Leawood. Though this store is closer, but that was the last time I’d ever be there again.

I stop by this store to replace my iphone 6 battery, first they said they can replace the battery for me, they they zig zag saying that my iphone 6 has water in it, but it is the new iphone 6, they try to get me buy a refurbished iphone 6 as replacement for $299. It looks like they try to get my phone for free and then later sell it back to someone else. and Then I got someone else phone with pre-installed battery. Apple is a very bad company. I do not know why this company can make so much money, no no no... not for me. I promise my family, my relatives will never buy one more apple product. They cheat on consumer. This is terrible company.

Tried to return a defective charger. I was told that since it had a nick in it, it was unreturnable. I was able to convince the manager to let me get an exchange. I now have an extra because I had to buy another before I could return the defective one. The manager said cords do not come damaged from the factory. 100s of millions of theses things are made, and they some how get 100% out without defects???

I went there to get my iPhone 4s working again. I went online and set up the appointment. I got there ahead of time and they were ready for me. I admit that to the readers of this post that I had dropped the thing in water over a year prior to this visit. Cell phones are not indestructible. I know that iPhones and Apple products are way too expensive and high maintenance and fragile for a man that is a mechanic. I do know that replacing an iPhone with another iphone that will not last 2 years is stupid or go into contract at 100 dollars a month is dumb. Especially when walmart has Samsung phones through total wireless for 60 dollars and non contract plans at 35 dollars a month. For that I can football endzone spike or punt my Samsung phone into a lake and not be out 700 dollars. But if you really want to get service fast. Bring your 1 year old daughter in the Apple store and let her go free. After she breaks the Apple nerd's star wars ball robot they tend to help you right away. Please hit the like button

Visited the store many times over the years to purchase computers, phones, accessories & repair services. Staff are very friendly and there are plenty of them to make sure you get helped quickly. It's a little different for service requests though, you will usually have to wait if you walk in without a appointment as there are only a few technicians. So make sure you make your appointment before visiting the store. I'm sure this is common at all Apple stores, just wanted to note that it applies to this store as well. Multiple times I have had issues with the store having stock of a particular product, which wasn't even a newly released item either. I think they could do better in this area as a lot of people are probably turned away due to not having inventory of what they came in looking for. Also many times I have spoken to someone about a particular product and then when I am ready to purchase they check and it's not available in inventory. It would be much easier if they knew what they had and let you know before going through all sorts of information and not being able to walk out with one. Other then those few issues, the overall experience was always great as far as communication and comfortable atmosphere.

Worst customer service ever. Genius bar? A joke. Been here 4 times and still can't fix the problem. At Any given time there are 4-5 employees standing around, but yet they're to busy to help anyone who is a walk-in or been standing around for 3 hours. This store tested my temper. At one point I notice I was starting to get rude because I was so upset with the customer service. I don't like getting like that and had to leave. Maybe today will be the day the genius bar gets it right and I can use the $3000 computer I have purchased from Apple, and maybe the support Apple highly holds them self to will actually be worth something today. He explained what the diagnostic tests would reveal and what my options would be. Franco was professional, polite and knowledgeable and he made sure that I understood everything. How Convenient that my phone failed after 2 years and you have brand new IPhones for a 599$ out of warranty replacement. if you have an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus good luck friends. The Plaza use to be such a nice place to visit, and spend time on the weekend. But, there’s so much violence going on down there now, that we just pass and go elsewhere. We use to shop often and purchase the majority of our electronics (Apple), clothing, shoes and books at The Plaza, now we just order online and avoid the place. So sad the way it’s going down hill.

Wish I would've got the name of the guy who helped! Went in to trade my old iPhone 7 for credit on the XR. The guy was straight to the point, incredibly helpful, kind, and made the purchase incredibly quick! I was expecting to take far longer, but was pleasantly surprised. Love the phone as well!

Great apple store. It was packed to the point it was hard to move through the store but despite that I was assisted immediately upon entering the store. I told them what I was looking for, they walked directly to the item and wrang it up on a cell phone. I paid and was out the door in less than 5 minutes. Really was pretty amazing for how busy the store was.

All stores should strive for the great service I received. I arrived 20-30 minutes early for my appointment, the store was very busy. The associate that checked me in was professional. Justin my assigned tech started helping me 15 minutes before my actual appointment time. He had my Mac diagnosed in 10 minutes. Apple had it fixed in less than 12 hours at reasonable prices.

I understand that this place gets pretty busy. I came in to help out my grandfather with his Ipad. The costumer service rep left us to help someone else out and I ended up fixing the issue on my own through troubleshooting. Maybe it was an off day? either way, I wasn't impressed.

Came from Joplin to get phone fixed before we left for vacation. Nice man took our info and said be an hour. Came back and waited an hour and half then got text saying would be another hour. We left! Green shirts were all over the place. I know each have different jobs but to see them gathered talking running in and out of back room was disheartening. Can't believe there were that many people in front of us even if some had appointments. Got to be a better way. If you know you see this many customers get more employees and more organized .

My laptop stopped charging just hours before an important deadline. I made a genius bar appointment. They were friendly, my appointment was on time and they were able to fix the issue on the spot, albeit temporarily. I went back again when the problem recurred and again they managed to fix it and does not seem to have recurred.

Came in to get my phone screen repaired. Was told it was a 25 minute wait and that I was free to walk around the plaza and they would text me in 25 minutes when the Genius would be available. I wait an HOUR and no text. Go to the store to see what is taking so long. They quote me to wait an extra 30 minutes because I didn’t come in person after 25 minutes and “check in.” I’ve never had this issue before at an Apple store. I sit and wait for the extra 30 minutes and two girls who are dressed in designer clothes and an attitude get help immediately from the Genius bar.

Came on launch day to spend $1300 on a new iPhone, stood in line for 2.5 hours while at any given time 4-5 employees could be seen chatting to each other and laughing (clearly not work related). Got to the front of the line and stood for another hour before finally giving up. No acknowledgement from any Apple employee, no apologies, no solutions, no empathy. Decided to leave.

I’ve been here 3 times in the past 36 hours to try and get my computer fixed. They’ve had me running back and forth, making me appointments for the wrong day and then not doing anything to try and assist me once I’m there. They’ll ask you to wait in their store for hours before someone can spend 5 minutes with you. They make PCs look a lot more appealing.

Apparently at this store it's appropriate customer service to expect customers to wait three hours for a QUOTE. Not repair. Just wanted an understanding of cost for repair. And when I asked incredulously if waiting 3 hours was the only way to get a quote the tech gave a ballpark "$700 maybe, definitely not more than that." Um, Ok, what if it's $400? Shame on you guys. Happy to wait my turn if my computer gets serviced but that is pretty poor customer service to expect someone to wait that long for a quote.

Frustrating and surprised to see Apple standards declining so rapidly. They sold a defective iPhone 8 with malfunctioning home button. Despite being in store many times complaining about it, they just deferred the complaint saying we don’t have any available appointment with tech with no alternative presented to me. What should I do until it got fixed ? May be I should consider getting products other than Apple.

There used to be a handful of great employees there, and now, they just have a lot of snobby hipsters working there that will do anything in their power to answer their question and somehow simultaneously making you feel like you are a complete moron... We have been trying to fix an issue with my boyfriends phone for over a week now, he will lose all data for most of the hours of the day. The first time they tried something, that fixed it for less than 24 hours... so he brought it back in like he was told to. They told him to come back another time. He made an appointment for today, (and of course as these things always go, it hadn't worked all day but he got data back right before getting there) where he was told he needed to have been screenshotting things that were happening on the phone, and to come back SUNDAY. I understand the need for documentation, but no one in the other two times could have told him to be sure to be getting screenshots of the issue? If we come in Sunday, now equipped with the screenshots we didn't know we needed, and get turned away again I am going to be so upset. I do not like wasted time, and it feels like that is all this is.

My phone had never worked properly since I got it. I had no appointment , thanksgiving weekend , they were super busy but asked me to come back when store opened the next day. The staff at this location are eagle-eyed extroverts who will pounce on you as you enter the store. They want to help and will persistently try to make that happen. It’s great. I love having a local store that offers various classes as well as appointments in order to get more technical assistance. We have taken various Apple devices into this store over the years, and typically have fantastic experiences each time. Staff members really seem willing to take enough time to understand the issue as well as trying several different solutions until the issue is fixed. Finding the intersection of expertise and helpfulness can seem like spotting the Loch Ness monster, many people believe it to be mythical but rumors of its existence still persist.

Not that I was a big fan of Apple before going here but my experience today was horrible. Even though I had an appointment I still had to wait in line outside of the building because it was so disorganized an chaotic inside. The was told even though they were ahead of schedule that it would take two hours to get my screen replaced. When I came back I had to wait in line outside again for 15 minutes before they let me in the store. When I finally did get my phone back they had to wipe it for "calibration" but couldn't be bothered to restore it.

Went there to pick up my wife's new iPhone. The sales guy appeared arrogant. We thought we got the phone updated and working. My Google Pixel was much easier to setup. It is ok, my wife likes her phone. But unfortunately she can not access her emails after she got home. Nobody checked that before we left the store.
