REVIEWS OF Apple Jordan Creek IN Iowa

Vickie Shepherd

The staff was courteous and helpful. They got us signed in then helped us as soon as possible. The tech was knowledgeable and helpful.

Cheyenne Grater

I didn't go there

Maria Olsen

Really like all the different stores in this mall, but be prepared the weekends they are always packed!

Robert Baker

Ok if you like apple products. I don't.

Kevin Crowley

Katy's phone died today. Apple Care replacement. Great service, tech care!

Amy Pigsley

Very nice. Easy to work with. Fast

Kathryn Johnson

Well basically I went in and my wait time was 2 hours. Then I come back after the 2 hours and wait another 30 mins to be served by a genius. Then they tell me that they’ll fix my phone but it’ll be another 2 hour wait. So I come back at my pickup time of 4 pm. I show up at 4:10 and they tell me they don’t even know my order, so they go in the back to find it and they say it’ll be another 10 minutes so I wait but the man helping me disappeared so I had to find someone else after 20 minutes of waiting for him to come back and they told me my phone was done and that I should wait by the headphones for them to bring it out so I waited another 15 minutes and they finally bring it out and it’s not even fixed properly and I have to go back in on Tuesday. What are all those people doing in there milling around and messing around on devices doing Bc they’re certainly not helping customers

David McMurrin

The Apple Geniuses at this store have always been great. I took my daughter’s older MacBook in without an appointment and they put me in line and I was able to talk with an Apple Genius and he was able to fix the problem. The Apple Genius was Keith, and he was very good at listening to what the issues were and working through to solve them. Every experience I’ve had at this store has been great. The Apple geniuses know what they’re talking about, and they don’t try to get you for unneeded repairs.

Caleb Lindman

Came in before they opened only to get told I would have to wait 2 hours just for a Factory Reset on my MacBook. I’m a college student so my Mac is important to my schoolwork. Guy that greeted me, pretty much told me “screw off” with a 2 or more hour wait time BEFORE THEY EVEN OPENED. Pathetic.

Crystal Elkins

The atmosphere here can seem crazy, but that's just because Apple is amazing and everyone wants it! The staff is very knowledgeable about the products and can get you set up with exactly what you need. I've bought a phone, watch, and desktop from here and I've been highly satisfied every time.

GoodPower Jo

Always crowded. Too pricey. But if you know what you want it's good service

Virginia Underwood

Found what we needed after trying on Many swimsuits for my grandaughter!!! Also came away with several other purchases...shoes, dress, 2 tops, shorts and make up. Expensive but a good, fun day!!!!

Cener

Nice and neat mall.

Melody Taninies

I received very good, timely service from an Ames student who was quick and multi-tasked with two others while helping me. Very nice girl and very knowledgeable. My friend and I both had phone issues which she aptly handled.

P Wilson

Too many geeks can be intimidating.

GSpot Hair Design

It is pretty annoying you have to wait 2 hours to talk to someone about fixing phone, then wait another hour and now almost 2 hours to have it fixed and there are 10 people walking arou d on iPads and head sets just pointing to other people for you to talk to. Then if there is any kind of smear or chip on phoe the say you dropped it and warranty is voided. This system is ridiculous and I am so glad I switched to android. I bought an apple for friend for Christmas last year came with in case she needed proof of purchase.

Steve Britton

2 different visits, 3 different service tech conversations, repeating what had already told the phone bot...supplying item name, serial number, model number, apple Id. First store visit I was told I was too early and would not be put in line until my reservation time....I kinda get that, but second visit for same issue, was not even acknowledged after my check in reservation for 40min. Then when I spoke up and got acknowledged a tech looked at me and said your ipod is too old for us to replace a battery. His suggestion since I was there....buy a new one!!!! APPLE..... you can kiss my business goodbye FOREVER Steve B

Scott Landreth

Went in for an upgrade, they wouldn’t honor the advertised special citing a hardware issue. When I called apple, they stated that notes entered in the system said something different. No help either way. Apple doesn’t care about the customer at all.

Michele Veldhuizen

We walked around trying to find the product my daughter needed, but no one came to our aid, asked us if we needed help, or even acknowledged that we entered their store. We ended up taking our business elsewhere.

Laurie Paasch

Super busy place but they always seem to have someone available to help!

Andrew Denner

a apple "Genius" was able to help troubleshoot and repair a battery life issue on my wife's iPhone. They were rather helpful if not just a little condescending. Store is quite flashy and hip.

Varnessa Price

Excellent shopping mall.. Great stores & Good food!

T. Mueller

A good for an apple store but I am not a big fan of apple stores.

MSRI Magic 8

The Apple Support call does not have a option for cracked phones so if you call and need a phone repair, it does not have that option.

Cassie Cullen

I went in at 4:00 PM on a Wednesday night. I knew there would be a wait for them to look at my MacBook so when they said 3 hours I wasn't mad. I shopped around with some friends just waiting on their text, 4 hours and 45 minutes later I still hadn't heard a SINGLE THING. Not even a text saying they wouldn't be able to get to me tonight. I just find this ridiculous. If you can't see me, don't tell me that you will be able to and write me down for an appointment. I only gave this place 1 star because I had to. Deserves a zero.

Kathryn Wyre

I went in to have my battery replaced and was helped by a few different people-most of them named Austin. Everyone in the store was extremely helpful and friendly, fantastic customer service and the battery replacement went perfectly.

Benjamin Mbuthia

Had so much fun with block codes and robotics

Ryan Suplee

Been an Apple user for more than eight years now. An amazing company, but the store is a bag of mixed beans. I’ve had nothing but great experience from sales, they’ve gotten me taken care of many times without an issue. Getting customer service here could be an issue. Many people are walkins, and most Apple stores do have room and technicians for this. If they tell you they don’t have any walkins available for the rest of the day, I felt lied to. Having an appointment could be useful. While I was prompt getting service, I noticed others weren’t so lucky. Richard was really friendly and got me taken care of. Being the only store in Iowa I think it could be better.

Brian Williams

Apple Jordan Creek has a "tax-rate" higher than that of the city & state. Go figure!

Chandra Chevuru

Friendly staff and easy check out.

Drew Workman

Instead of being able to walk in there and have one of the 30 employees help me with my phone/air pods, I get put on a list to drive 40 minutes back to Jordan Creek a week later to talk to one of the “Geniuses”. Thanks, Apple. It must be your customer service that made you a trillion-dollar company.

Dan Burch

Excellent staff very helpful great products

Marcus Pitts

Very helpful staff. Went above and beyond.

Mariela Larios

After several attempts to fix my phone over the phone with Apple, (messaging and Bluetooth issues) they finally set me up with an appointment to go to the Apple store, (an hour and a half away from home) and exchange my phone, they then tell my fiance ( i was at work) they couldn't do anything about it because my phone was bent!!!! My fiance said she literally had to point it out, u could hardly even tell. When I asked to talk to the manager for second opinion over the phone, he said he didn't have time to do so, he had a store to run.

Julia

My phone battery stopped working and I came in here to change it. One of the workers ran a test and said that it had some software damage and that was the reason it wasn’t working so he said the best option would to fix that which would cost $300 or just upgrade to a new phone (over $500) so we left and right next to the store was a kiosk That fixed phones and he changed the battery and it works perfectly fine. I don’t want to be rude but I feel like they just want you to spend more money.

Ben Marlin

Very friendly staff, quick and efficient.

Joy Hope

Great service after I was made to make appointment and come back. Had to argue to get battery replacement free. When all said and done the battery replacement was free. For the iPhone...

Mark G

Good experience, good selection of stores

Kevin Graham

Nice people. They will politely tell you to wait 50 minutes. In 40 minutes they will smile and sympathize with you as they tell you it may be another 20 minutes. They will nervously glance around as they kindly tell you they are so sorry it will be another hour. After 2 hours waiting they were very sweetly trying not to have to talk to us. My wife admittedly is less nice than them so far. She has not enjoyed her 2 and a half hour experience waiting to be helped by one of these nice people. I have yet to meet someone rude here. However, I have also not been helped in under 2.5 hours in any of the 4 times I have been here. (This does NOT include the time it took to actually work on the issue.) It seems that Apple is not in a hurry to help. Their people are nice, but don't have enough of them to support the problems with their products. * Update they, kindly informed us that their system says that we are scheduled to be helped in only another one and a half hours (4 total) and that we should know this because that is the "original time they planned for and it is 'static' and no one can change it." This seems weird seeing as how this is the 6th person we have talked to and not one so far had referenced this time ever existing. Seems that someone would have said 4 hours (6:45) not the myriad of other times we have been told. Nice people. Company/ personnel structure kinda stinks.

One Left Still Here

Always busy.

Todd

Stood there with my wife waiting to be helped with no assistance. Would not shop there again

Brittany Curtis

I tried to reschedule my appointment over the phone but kept having to go through technical support. I'm not sure why there isn't someone available at the store for me to talk to for just a few minutes to reschedule an appointment. When I go online to look at appointments there's only one available time slot. However, when I went in to the store yesterday, the associate said he was free all day and pretty much the rest of the week. Why aren't these options available online. This system is completely absurd for a tech savvy company! I'm also not sure why I'm still waiting over ten minutes to talk to someone just to simple reschedule an appointment...

Zelalem Zergaw

Very nice and helpful staff

Ravi Dendhi

Well, I know there is no other apple store in W DSM may this store is still open for the only reason. Service here sucks! Stepped in 2 times and received the Horrible experience all the time.

James Callison

Excellent service ! I was seen very promptly

Anthony Ross

Nice and clean with a variety of stores.

George Davey

Very helpful and one of the best Apple stores in the Midwest.

Corn Dog

Bought a 10.5” iPad. Exactly no official Apple-brand accessories in stock. Ok. They had pencils. No silicone back shells. No charcoal grey SmartCovers. Very reassuring.

Ryan Kowlessar

I had a very pleasant experience in this store. I was greeted fairly quickly and offered help. Thankfully I knew what I needed and was able to make the most of my time. I had a few questions that were answered quickly and concisely and was out the door satisfied with the products I purchased.

Tyler Dreher

Seems like all the people giving negative reviews just marched in the store and expected to be put ahead of people who made appointments. Just because you see an employee standing around does not mean they can help you. Most of the employees you see in the store deal with sales not repair or troubleshooting. The service here is always great, the people are friendly and helpful. Every visit I’ve made to the Apple store to either purchase products or deal with a repair has been very pleasant. In the one or two times I’ve needed to get in without an appointment they’ve been very accommodating.

Storck Family

Needed new battery for iPhone 6S. Was told about an hour until a tech was available. 75 minutes later I was notified they were almost ready for me. Checked in and been waiting for half hour since. Be honest with time estimates. Much rather be told two hours and have it be one than be told one hour and have it be two. So much I could of gotten done if I actually knew the correct time estimate. UPDATE: So once a tech was available, I was made aware it would be two hours to replace the battery, not one hour as was stated when this whole fiasco started. What originally was explained to me to be about a two hour procedure turned out to be over four hours once said and done. Tell me six hours in this case and finish in four and your company store looks like saviors. Tell me two hours and it becomes four and you end up with disssatisfied customers that will never enter the store again. Had a lady next to me agree when I was stating my frustration to Michelle. Michelle was great as was all the staff. They just need to learn how to better estimate time. They weren’t shy to charge either for the $30 battery although I lost more than that in work production due to their inability to estimate repairs. Definitely a very stressful experience for my first time there.

Chris

VEry bad

Katie Gerlach

Really helpful staff who take the guess work out of everything and make setting up a new phone super simple. I will go here always for questions about my phone and upgrading in the future.

Charie McMahon

Didn't try to even power the non working iPhone 7, this was a known issue with the device and didn't bother to even try to fix or replace even with warranty. Not very good customer service. Rather than try to fix the known issue, tried to sell me another device.

Kurt Weakland

Always had good service here and I don't pay attention to what I think someone is thinking about me and not self conscious like some other reviewers. Get off it guys, it's busy sometimes but all the service people work hard and are knowledgable. I buy at Best Buy and service at the store and always had a good experience in the end. Relax people.

Ryan W

Someone with my stolen credit card made 2 back to back purchases total over $4000 today. Every time I bought something less than $500 like an iPad, I had to show my ID. Somehow this time, no one asked for an ID... I guess apple’s 285B cash had to be used somehow... giving away products is certainly one way to go about it.

Tiffany Hazen

Very great customer service, they answer all your questions & do whatever they can to help you. I would definitely recommend this Apple store.

Amit Manektala

When my phone died at 8 PM a few hours before beginning an extended travel plan, I went to the apple store minutes before it was closing .The staff were very polite and helped me get a replacement phone and fixed my broken glasses(screw fell out) for me as a freebie! Hope their managers appreciate them as much as I did

Jason Patterson

The techs said my phone was too bent to replace the battery for their safety which is a lie. Proceeded to upsell me iPhones. Wouldn’t sell the battery to me separately to do it myself. Place is a scam, Apple products are a scam and company is just a money grubbing scam. Make it impossible to cost effectively own and operate very standard and none creative piece of technology.

Najah Curry

Customer service trash didnt get what I needed after waiting 2 hours

Kashaan Merchant

I love the products, but skip out on servicing it here, you're better off finding an authorized servicer. Years of taking my Apple products here usually leads to long wait times, lost data, over priced estimations, and as of late, rude genius bar techs.

Thomy G

Great Apple Store, very friendly and helpful Staff thank you

Ryan Parker

I get the feeling that a majority of the staff is annoyed to have customers. I purchased a mac book pro as my first apple device last month, however the apple employee that sold it to me was not interested in me at all. The hardware has been great, but I probably would have had a better customer experience anywhere else.

MoDa Pierre

Zero punctuality. 23 minutes late for my appointment till this point of time waiting right now and no body showed up yet !!!! Third time in one month to bring my Mac for maintenance due to wrong speakers being installed

hailey eve

Customer service is sadly lacking

Brian Berry

I had a whole bunch of programming questions and the salesman did a great job answering my questions veven though he is not a programmer

Michael Alfaro

Went in to pick up an item I ordered online. Passed around to 4 or 5 different people. Took about 4 times longer than it should have.

Josh Wells

Getting computers here was nice and easy. We waited about an hour to get it, but they immediately were waiting outside and they helped me put it in my car. Nice apple place, definitely recommend.

Lia Miller

Will at the Apple store was very helpful and patient. Satisfactory visit.

Adis Nukic

Awesome place and friendly people

Emad

If I can choose 0 star I would. Bad bad customer service, they are not collaborators. I came 2 hr driving and I was late for my appointment and they did not explain to me if I ll’be late the appointment would be canceled. So, they did not check me in and I back all the distances with nothing. I was waiting 2 hr for that appointment for nothing.

Crazy Bass Dad

Too crowed. Items too expensive. Unhelpful employees.

g g

Arrogant people

Isabella Barrera

Very nice kept mall!

Laura Lee

I believe this is the first ever to star review that I’ve ever given I’m giving up because my new iPhone 8 plus last year started acting up about a year after I had it I’m learning that’s normal for the iPhones I guess it has something to do with they need to keep buying product in order to keep making money which that makes sense I understand that but the warranty is only for a year I understood that too I had no problem buying another $700 phone I just wanted them to tell me what was wrong with my iPhone 8 because it would not work at the Internet completely not work Sometimes I would get my calls sometimes I wouldn’t mostly I wouldn’t get my text messages I just went to a lot of things that a $700 phone should do When I hooked it up on the Wi-Fi at my house at work great we all know though we’re not constantly all going to be where there’s Wi-Fi we need our personal data and everything to work on her phone that’s why we pay $700 for the thing so I take it to Apple no one at Jordan Creek first time ever being that one I’ve been in line to tell the lady the problem she automatically hooked up on Wi-Fi give Mia a wait time and everything so they call my name finally and go over it this young man I tell them the problem he hooked it up on WiFi as it works perfectly I said yes I know on Wi-Fi but take it off of Wi-Fi and try to get it to work they said we cannot diagnose your phone it’s not our Wi-Fi. I told them on Wi-Fi the thing works it’s without Wi-Fi so turn the Wi-Fi off and you’ll see what I’m talking about it’s like I was talking to different language to then no one will quit looking at the little tablet long enough to understand what I was saying so needless to say I still buy my Apple phones but I will never go back to that one right there at Jordan creek

Lynette James

Great fast service. Packed store very loud.

Jason Dunn

o apple your store redesign reminds me of my cafeteria in high school or my shrinks office where they have family therapy. and your passive aggressive millenials that find no problem informing you can go without your phone for week despite being unable to tear themselves away from their own.

S Porter

I had to wait 30 minutes after my appointment time to see someone about my broken iPhone display. Once I did, he let me know he would fix it at no charge and to come back in an hour. I did, and my phone is perfect now. Worth the wait, staff is super nice. They deal with a lot of customers, so be nice to them if you have to wait a little bit. Thank u Jordan creek apple I love u

Jamie Amble

Helpful staff. Short wait.

Michael Schafer

I don't personally have an apple products but my daughter has an iPhone. Have to say the store was pretty awesome. Apparently guys who wear pants almost as tight as leggings agree as well lol.

Terry Iverson

Very fast service

Dawn Blanchard

Even though the store was wall to wall people we got in and got out very quickly! Note to others be sure and schedule an appointment. Another couple had been waiting for 2 hours we were in and out in 30 minutes.

Dominick Carapella

Absolutely awful customer service. I brought 3 ipads in hoping to just have help with updates as they wont update at home; and if they wouldn't work, I planned on buy 3 new ones and an ipad pro for myself. I came in early, stood in line, finally got with someone to check in and was told there was nothing they could do until Sunday (today is Monday by the way). The woman before me in line had a 15 minute wait on her service and my friends that were in line just behind us also had a 15 minute wait. I'm confused why I had to wait until Sunday to even set up an appointment while everyone else is getting in today. I guess I will just go to Best Buy and purchase 3 new tablets rather than waste my time on a store that decides to pick and choose customers.

Bryce Heemstra

Always have had a great experience at this Apple Store. Their workers are very helpful. There is usually a long wait to see a technician, but that is to be expected when it's the only Apple Store in Iowa.

Paige Yates

Couldn't really fix our problem but the wait wasn't bad and employee was nice.

Rachel Hurley

I recently bought a laptop at this store and although the store was busy, an employee named Toni Balthazor found me and helped me find the right laptop. She was extremely helpful in helping me decide which laptop to buy. She should get a raise. I could tell she loved her job and loved helping customers. Customer service like that is hard to come by.

Paul Muwanguzi

Solved my problem fast!

Sai Mohan Ranga Rao Ummadisetty

Super busy. I recommend getting an appointment online in advance.

Ian Thatcher

I recommend having an appointment. Friendly staff. Helpful in getting you what you need and answering questions.

John Walling

Excellent service and had just what.y daughter wanted for college..

Phillip Tindrell

Had an appointment scheduled for 340pm and arrived about an hour early. No one came to me after waiting over an hour. Turned out instead of checking me in my appointment was cancelled. Once it was found out my order was cancelled I had to wait an additional 30 minutes.

Jeff Strahl

The employees know there stuff and are very helpful. Sometimes the wait sucks but it's worth it.

Dave Miller

Can I cut this Star in half??? What a waste of my time!!! I’m have a series 3 watch, one of the bottom lenses is shattered, stopped by the store to get a repair quote, was told that I needed an appointment, they scheduled one for a week out, went in, waited for 20 mins only to be told that they don’t service the watches, they must be sent out and ALL REPAIRS have a flat fee of $289!!! I can buy a new one just like it for $274!!! I found the part on e-bay for $6.95!!! They could have charged me $60 and I would have gone with it!!! I wish I could get the 2 hours of lost pay I had to give up to go In a second time! They should have been honest and up front the first time! I’m disappointed in you Apple!!!

Bob S.

Apple store sucks. Don't return phone calls. Always a two hour wait. Only store in all of Iowa.

Angela Robinson

Nice place of convenience bcus you can get your Apple products repaired there.

Katie Mulera

When I called ahead they didn’t have any appointments until next week Wednesday and when I went into the store there was too long of a walk-in wait time (4 hours). That has happened many times at this store and it is really frustrating. They need to work on their customer service in that aspect, but when you do get into the Genius Bar, the people that work there are respectful, but they do want you to spend money. If you need help, I would suggest to go into the store before they open in the morning and get in line.

Brian Moede

Are we serious with the 2 hr and 20 minute wait to have my son's phone unlocked? Why on Earth any one would own an apple product after going through this experience once I don't know. 10 people standing around checking people in for a 2 hr plus wait on 5 techs....stupid

Rob Schaut

Luckily, I don't need to visit this store often and generally when I do it's because of an issue I've had with hardware I've purchased (MacBook Pro or iPhone). Really, the most frustrating thing about this store are the employees. Some are great (Mitchell was very helpful and to the point), but unfortunately most I've had to deal with are smug, arrogant and accusatory of the customer in regards to warranty work. I've heard from them, "well I'll trust you this time" or "if this really is a problem on our end and not an issue such as water damage or abuse we can fix this issue, but only this issue", etc. I recently had to bring in my iPhone 7 to have a no service issue repaired. Initially the "Genius" seemed especially reticent about it (as it was an issue to be covered under an Apple Recall) and initially told me I would be out of a phone for 2 weeks if it really was this issue (as he didn't seem to really believe me). In the end, I was lucky enough to win this "Genius"'s confidence to give me a loaner phone and my phone was sent off for warranty-covered repair - but it was a long and painful process. Overall, I dread going into this store for repairs... the staff really need to work on their interpersonal skills with their customers, especially in regards to warranty work. Conversely, when you want to buy an Apple product the staff seem very friendly and helpful.

Just Me!!!

It's okay, but it could use more clothing stores for kids and juniors

Melissa Mcgee

Was there with bf cause his phone is cracked. Found doesn't do a bit of good to have insurance and apple cares. Was still going to cost like a $100 to get a replacement phone.

Engineer engineer

Im not an apple product fan. The store show cases what? The same thing as Best Buy and other stores. For the most part If I want to see an I phone I just need to ask my wife or my daughter.

Matt Klein

Appointments to speak to one of their "Genius'" was a joke. Checked in to send my laptop off for repair. Took them forever to finally get to me. Their "Genius" told me something I already knew that my repair would be fixed under warranty and they'd send it in. They notified me that anything on the TOP clamshell would be lost such as stickers. I was okay with this. However, when I received the laptop back...the USB receiver for my mouse was gone. Not sure why they would take that out?? In closing, a few tips. 1. Appointments are joke, plan extra time...just like a Doctors visit. 2. If you ever send anything off to repair...remove any and all items from your device. Basically expect that you won't see ANYTHING that was yours ever again.

Went into the Apple Store on a Saturday. It was kind of busy, but not super busy. After 5-10 minutes, an employee walked up to me, in a rush, asked me if I had an appointment. No. OK, what can I help you with? I explained that I’d like to look at an iPhone but I need it for a specific use so I’d like to have someone show me the parental controls. I was told there was no one in the store that can help me with that. I was encouraged to sign up for “a class” on the topic (they’re only on weekdays) as he points his tablet toward me and shows me a list of classes. I explained I live a fair distance away so just want to take a real quick look. Shouldn’t be more than 5 minutes. I was again told they don’t offer that service, but was again told to sign up for “a class” on the topic (they’re only on weekdays). I made sure the worker understood that I don’t CURRENTLY own an iPhone -- I’m not just some guy looking for a “how to” -- this is part of my buying decision. I was then told that all the phones in the store are locked, no one can unlock them, so we can’t show you that. I said, “you’re telling me there is not a single employee in this store right now (I could see about 15 employees) that has the ability to even hold an iPhone and show me the parental controls real quick?” He said, “no, I’m sorry.” I gave him my opinion of that policy (I didn’t yell, or make a scene, but I did say it’s a very stupid policy), and then he just said “sorry” and walked away to help the next person. At some point I was also told I could “read up on it on the website.” Well, you know, sometimes people like to see things in person and talk to a real person. Isn’t that the point of a store? So, I don’t know if this employee was lying, or if they have a really dumb store policy. I would question why can’t an employe take out their own personal iPhone and show me real quick? If he was truthful, and they really don’t allow the sales employees to show prospective customers phone features, then that is a horrible, foolish decision. My best guess is that they are trained (formally or informally) to home in on people that you think are ready to buy now. If they don’t look like they are coming in and it will lead to a sale, blow that person off as fast as you can or pawn them off to a “class.” To me, that’s elitism in a nutshell. I did hear one person nearby walk in and say right away "I'd like to buy and iPhone." So I suppose maybe they feel they can afford to blow off people who have not yet made a decision. I do wonder if I came back in a nice suit and said I was looking to buy 10 phones for my company but asked the exact same question . . . what kind of response would I get?

Larry Anderson

Easy interaction, interesting to see how they operate sales and stuff.

Ricardo Castillo

Looks like nice place, nice store and well organized and maintained clean. This represents Apple tech in a nice style and the staff is helpful. I got to try out many different tech such as music equalizer, all headphones, phones, and camera stands. Great place to look at tech

James Sirman

Great place to get your Apple fix, i bought airbuds and the customer service was great.

Mike G

Typical Apple store. The seats at the genius bar are not comfotable!

The Simpsons

I'm a long time Apple product user. Love their products, but the company should completely do away with their company branded support. It's pathetic. From call ahead, to product drop-off, to completion...the entire system is terrible. I operate a business with my laptops. When I take one in for repair to Apple, their standard of service is poor from the beginning. 3-5 days to replace a screen? As a side note, it's now 7 days and I called them to inquire where it's at. Come on Apple. There's a 3rd party repair guy that can buy the part, have it next day from his supplier and have me out the door in less than 48 hours...but you can't compete? So why take it to Apple? Because Apple doesn't certify repair places to perform Apple Care repairs on their products. Basically Apple, your services are so far below normal acceptable standards, the Apple store is the LAST place to take anything for service.

Cody Koch

I sat in the store for 20 minutes after telling the staff standing around lookin at the iPads that I wanted to buy a computer. Had it all picked out without their assistance. Just wanted to pay for the and take it with me. Would take 5 minutes. Multiple people told me they couldn’t help me while they stood there and looked at everyone walking around. After 20 minutes I just left. I have had every version the of the iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro pretty much every year for the past 7-8 yrs. I think that string will come to an end. I was going to buy an Apple Watch too. Not anymore. Disappointing to say the least. I wouldn’t treat my patients this way in my practice but I guess if you are Apple people should buy it anyway.

Busy and congested during most hours. This is a good place to browse and try out items, but if you don't want to pay full retail or try to flag down an apple employee, buy online. Plan on spending an hour or so here.

Holly Johnson

I was quoted a wait time is 45 minutes to an hour, while on my lunch break. It was two hours before I still wasn’t seen. It was for the same problem that my product had two weeks ago with literally the same notes that could’ve been put on the account. To ship it for repair. When I asked where I was in the queue, I got told just a few minutes, that happened quite a few times. I would’ve much preferred straight answer from the beginning that I needed to make an appointment and come back at a later time. To the comments saying, that there are a lot of employees standing around that can’t help you, because they are sales. That is what is funny about it, every one of these positive reviews is someone getting a product sold to them, not coming in for repair for a faulty product. Yeah I’m sure they’re great service when they are selling to you.

The staff here is very knowledgeable and were able to help me select the right computer. Apple computers are a little pricey but in my experience are worth the money.

Thandi Mkandawire

Very good customer service and got the product I wanted to. Thanks

The Apple Store is a very stressful place. And it does seem like there are a lot of employees just standing there. I was blessed with one worker that listened to what I needed and actually helped me. I am so appreciative that you took the time to listen. I am able to use my phone almost like new. All my videos and photos protected. I give it five stars because of that one employee. He could've sent me away but he didn't. And I am so grateful. I forgot your name but I hope you see this and know who you are

The mall is great. Such a large selection of stores to choose from and the restaurants in the dining area are all great.

I have many different Apple products to run my business, including and Airport Time Capsule. It will no longer power on so I made an appointment at the “Genius Bar”. The outcome is “we don’t have the tools to get it open and get the hard drive.” Then proceeds to show me a link on How-To instructions to do it myself. If they don’t have the tools, I’m not sure why they think I would. Good work having a product you can’t service at all.

Had an awesome experience at this store. I worked with Rick and he was extremely patient in helping me with my pay off when upgrading my phone with Verizon. I took a lot of his time, and he never once looked frustrated or showed anything but superior customer service. Very professional sore, and very friendly staff! Even purchased accessories knowing that I could purchase somewhere else for less money (but wanted to give Rick and the store extra business.)

J Rock

very organized and attentive. ordered on line, picked up. in and out under 3 minutes

Noratta (sp?) was an amazing help and was able to diagnose the issue I was having with my Mac Book Pro within two minutes and was working on my solution within 10 minutes. Really knowledgeable in the problem that we were having and got me set up quickly. I was in/out of the store within 30 minutes. Most of the time was spent transferring data to an external drive. Thank you so much for saving 3 months of photos from my infants life!!!!

Rick O'Hara

Phone wasn't charging and wasn't under warranty. After waiting for 45 minutes, the only option offered was to replace the phone with the same two-generation-old model for $300. I immediately took the phone to the kiosk right outside the store and had the charging port replaced in 15 minutes for $50.

TIM LEEPER

Fantastic Customer Service. Thank you so much Woo, for your persistence in solving my iPad Air 2 problems. You Rock!!!

Zakroote

Nope they dont like to help people they just want to make sales to get connections

Jessica Skoglund

We attempted to go out and fix the recall for iPhone 7 "no service". Staff were rude and informed us the phone was bent and that was the issue. The phone was never out of the otter case and there is recall. Handed us back the phone and said...nothing we can do. Needless to say we took the phone to an approved store and they are handling the recall. Very poor service. But they are sure nice when selling you their product.

Good customer service

For the most part the millennial did a decent job explaining laptops to my 69 year old grandfather but rudely tried to con him into believing he needed the most expensive mac.

Judy Olson

Nice people and very helpful.

Quick and thorough service

Josh Hoffman

Scheduled a 540 pm Genius appointment and was not seen until 620 pm. Then, on top of providing little technical insight into the source of the problem, the Genius person was condescending regarding our lack of choice to purchase Apple care for a 1.5 yr old MacBook Pro that already failed. Apple seems to be losing touch.

I think the whole mall stopped in this Apple store, it was crowded, and the mall was empty. In any case, Derek Jensen handled our questions, and efficiently got us rolling. We got new phones and kept our existing Verizon service. By the time we left, our cases, phones, screen protectors, etc. were installed and we had little to do beyond enjoying our new phones. Thanks for a great experience, and it looked like the whole store was busy giving this experience to many, many others. What if this many people were trying to buy bras as the nearby Victoria's Secret? Would they efficiently get their product and get great service? Or, would they be waiting in a huge line while one (maybe two) cashiers helped check out the customers. Apple changed that by having the cashier be anywhere in the store, so when you are ready to pay and go, you don't have to go to the back of the store and wait in line. Brilliant!

Alex Allbaugh

My phone was on 9% and wasn’t charging. I was told to go home and come back the next day. I kept my phone off and by the time I came back the next day I was blamed that my phone died and that I couldn’t trade it in anymore because they couldn’t get into my settings

D b

Knowingly sold me a defective phone, then replaced my defective phone with yet another defective phone, fully aware that it was defective, now trying charging me a total of $380 to fix other issues, that weren’t really an issue and I had no need or intention to fix as the phone was still very usable. So it’s pay almost $400 to fix a phone they sold me without disclosing that it was defective, or that the issue would continue with new phones until I just upgrade. NEVER BUYING ANYTHING APPLE EVER AGAIN!! Customer service has hung up on me twice now instead of standing behind their products, and they haven’t pulled a single defective phone from the shelves to fix it, instead their policy is to just wait and see if it’s an issue.

I'm a big fan of Apple products. As a professional graphic designer, I have been using Apple desktops for decades now. Yes, I'm old. Anyway, on several occasions I had to take one of my older computers in. It took several times of taking my system into the store before the problem was correctly diagnosed. Such a hassle. I was given bandaid solutions by techs that were not knowledgeable about motherboards. Thankfully, I had Apple Care at the time and once finally able to get my computer into the shop, sure enough, had to have both a new motherboard and a new screen. I avoid this location like the plague now sadly. Hopefully it has improved in the last few years since I've been in.

Matthew Meendering

Would definitely make a reservation online before going in to speak with someone. I went there for device service/repair and staff explained what he was doing each step of the way.

Chris Northcutt

Appreciated the sales staff assistance with finding the right accessories for my son's new phone.

The worst Apple Store that I’ve seen.

I came in to purchase an iPhone 10 which will accommodate 2 phone lines (personal and work). After I had turned in my 2 older phones and got my primary line set up on the new phone, I was told to have my carrier Verizon add the 2nd line. Once in their store, they refused to do it for 60 days (remember my old phone had been turned in and my work phone no longer working!!) I returned to Apple store and asked for Landon who promptly contacted Verizon Care to complete the transfer. A special THANKS to Landon for truly showing what customer care is! Verizon could and should take a lesson! Sincerely, A customer only carrying 1 phone again!!

Good store.

Poor customer service. I was quoted 1 hr wait which was fine, came back after an hour and they tacked on another 30 mins wait. Currently sitting in the store and counted 5-6 employees standing around doing nothing but talking to each other and not helping customers. Wish I could give a 0 rating.

I bought a new IPad two weeks ago and was told my old IPad was worth $70 on a trade in. Unfortunately I had many pictures that needed to be down loaded and it was going to take a long time to do it at the store. I was told to simply buy the new IPad then bring my old one back within two weeks and they will credit $70 back on my credit card. The old IPad was looked over and I was told it was in excellent condition. This sounded fine, however when I returned within the two weeks, I was told my old IPad was not worth anything because of a very minor dent that was hardly noticeable at all. After a discussion about what I was told several days before they finally gave in to give me some money back. The new amount however was $45! They did not give me a good answer as to why the change. I finally decided to go ahead and take the $45 but was not happy. I am glad to have the opportunity to tell about my experience in a review. In my opinion most of the employees are only interested in a quick sale and get your money. Lots of fake friendliness as the employees know an evaluation will be sent to the customers in an email and bad reviews about them could cost them their job. I am saddened by the way the store is managed.

I had an odd experience. In fairness to the staff, there was some sort of iPad drawing class going on. Still, it took me well over 10 minutes to get so much as a glance from staff, despite there being multiple pairs of staff members doing what, at least from the outside looking in, appeared to be nothing (but I could be wrong). After 10+ minutes, we were added to the queue, and then after another 5, we were helped by a salesperson. No big deal. However, the most frustrating part of this visit were the pushy, awkward up-sells. I had to say no or emphasize my decision *twice each* for: my phone model, my AppleCare plan, Apple Music, iCloud, and accessories. Whenever I tried to say "I don't need that, I have something comparable that I already use," I was met with a blank stare and a renewed insistence on the same talking point. It felt like the salesperson didn't understand what their own product offering looked like compared to other products, which is fine, but I guess I wish they would have backed off when I told them what I wanted, since I had come to the store with a specific set of features that I knew I wanted and wasn't interested in entertaining all the other stuff. The salesperson did also bring out the wrong phone - they brought out the next model up from what I had requested. Had I not noticed, I would have been on the hook for $100 more. While I don't like characterizing mistakes like these as intentional - it could just as easily have been an accidental miscommunication from the staff who had put us in the queue - I felt a bit weird about having to specify the exact model twice, especially after having already gone through the same song and dance with iCloud, Apple Music, and AppleCare. It felt just awkward enough for me to wonder if it was intentional. The last thing that made me uncomfortable was the part of the checkout process where I filled out a little form on the salesperson's iPhone, and I asked for clarification around whether or not it was required to use my legal name, as I didn't know if I was filling it out for a service agreement or just for informational purposes. I only use my legal name for contracts and official documents. Instead of just telling me yes or no, I received an awkward look and a winding explanation of what they themselves would do, which was to use their legal name (they had no idea why anyone would not use theirs). Then, when I handed back the iPhone with my information filled out, I was given a weird look, an awkward pause, and they read my name back to me like I had made a mistake, which made me uncomfortable. All in all, it was a far cry from the experience that Apple stores are known for. Your mileage may vary.

TL;DR: This is one of the most friendly and homey Apple stores you will ever visit, don’t believe the negative reviews. It is really sad to see all of these horrible reviews on this absolutely wonderful store. They have the most respectable staff of any Apple store I’ve ever been to. And everyone that has a great time just expects it because their at the Apple store so they won’t write good reviews, but I’m here to break that. People anymore have ZERO patience and will not try and understand what’s going on. I’ve never seen such immature adults before in my life, give them a break. You can’t do what they do, you don’t know the pressure they’re under 24/7 trying to deal with people and getting through everyone. Treat them like human beings not people that are wasting your “precious” time. - Shane

Nice place for shopping

Laura helped us set all our devices up on the family account. Didn't try to rush through our appt even though helping us was more than a simple fix. All around good experience. Would go back for our next device for sure and made us feel like there is truly a resource available should we need the help.

Matthew Hall

They're were lots of employees there and most of them were very helpful but some were not very helpful.

Jared Brees

Service has gone downhill over the years, as has Apple's quality in general. Last time I was there they: - had to get me to someone else to check in, because the first person's iPad mini locked up - broke the iPad I brought in further, refusing to fix either the original issue, or the one they created

Cole Dannewitz

Waited 3 hours 15 minutes to see a tech to have a phone with water damage replaced. It's a bit frustrating when they have 20 sales people in the store, 10 of which are standing around talking to each other. You would think someone at their "genius" bar would have already thought it would be a good idea to train some of them as techs.

Jenny Vasquez

Helped me out a lot and fixed my phone.

Chase Hardin

Not only is Apple hardware the best, but this store is full of knowledgeable people that are willing to help. Their tech support is also great. I’d highly recommend giving them a visit if you’re looking to purchase an Apple product.

Paige Gee

TERRIBLE customer service. Schedule you a week out and you still have to wait when you get there or walk in before 5:30 pm or they “can’t take walk ins”. When your phone doesn’t work and they can’t help you for a week?!! They need better customer service or another location.

Morufu Salawu

Wonderful place to do all your shopping needs

Husband for Hire official channel

No one even asked if I needed assistance. After 10 minutes of being in the store.

After reading all the reviews I was relieved to know I’m not the only person feeling frustrated about the repair side of this location. I come in with a non responsive screen on a month old iPhone, was told appointments are a week out but I can do a walk in and wait 3 1/2hrs and then see a Technichian simply to diagnose the problem, then wait however long to actually get it repaired. You guys NEED MORE TECHNICIANS and less greeters, or add another location in DSM, either way this is unprofessional.

Troy Frericks

Turned me off... There were several large signs that said: iPhone 10 for $549... when you follow the asterisk you get fine print, and I mean fine print. You have to be within 3 feet, and I literally had to put my glasses on to read it. It said "with trade in" of a recent device that probably costs north of a thousand dollars.

JC Moreau

Just confusing for old guy like me. Especially on weekends where it’s a cluster.

kimberly ware

Clean store, helpful staff. You will be required to an appointment if you need even the slightest help with your electronics.
