Love this shop!! Great service and they are always honest and upfront with you. Customer service is always the best too. Just took my daughter’s car in to get an oil change because she is driving it to New York. The guys there checked everything just to make sure it was safe to drive. Won’t take my cars anywhere else.

The transmission linkage failed on my SUV and could not be driven so I called George at American and he made arrangements for it to be towed as well as they had my SUV back to me the same day. When you find a place that's friendly, honest, reliable and has fair prices like American you give them a permanent place in your phones contacts and become that loyal customer. Thanks again George!

I took my Jeep Wrangler on the first day they were open. I noticed from the get go that they have the nicest waiting room I have ever seen. Anywhere! I then was worried that they would have some opening day hiccups. None! They had a full house and everything seemed to be moving seamlessly. My Jeep was in and out in a jiff, and is operating perfectly! Congrats, and keep up the great work.

I took my 16 ram 1500 in for an exhaust issue. I was there not but 10 minutes and they had the truck up on a lift. 70 bucks later they had the issues fixed. The owner seemed like a good dude. The shop is really nice and clean. I'll be coming back when I decided to get my truck leveled.

Terrible service. Went to get check engine light fix. Came out after 1300$ in repairs comes back to me with half the issues still there and now they want to charge me more. Next morning i went not even 15 miles to work round trip for check engine light to come back on with same issues i already knew of. Definitely do not recommend.

I stopped in today to check why my check engine light was on. The staff was great and explained everything to me so thoroughly! They made the repairs and my car runs perfect! The facility is beautiful also! I definitely recommend coming here for any repairs!

From the outside looks like it would be a great facility, but just like the wrapping on a package it could be garbage inside and in this case it is. Very unprofessional, they dont talk to customers intelligently, they really seem like they dont know what they are even doing, they take the lets replace everything approach and hope that fixes the problem. These shysters are out for blood -yours! STAY AWAY!

I believe in giving credit where it's due. I had some work done on my car but it had some issues. So I had to take it to the shop to see what the problem was. Now usually I'm VERY skeptical of mechanics because they try to take advantage of females but, I must say Jim saw the problem (which was the wheels weren't tightened after being put on) and corrected it and didn't charge me AT ALL! Now I hate to say it but if I would have gone somewhere else they probably would have fixed it and said it was something totally different and charged some outrageous price! So I would like to say thank you to Jim and George at American Complete Auto Repair in Crown Point for their AWESOME customer service!

These guys were absolutely amazing! My husband is in the military and getting ready to deploy so we decided to head to Indiana from Fort Belvoir Virginia to see my family. Well the day we were supposed to head back home so my husband can get ready for his deployment my car wouldn't start! It was a complete nightmare. My dad called around and no one could fit us in for that day. He called these guys and it was no problem to get us in right away and start working on my car. They kept in touch with us the whole time and it was ready the next day!

When i called America and talked to George he said they could look right away and help. We got there and they took a look, gave us an estimate, and repaired it in half the time they estimated. Very nice place that is well maintained with extremely social/friendly staff, upfront about costs and they don’t hesitate to break it down for you so you can fully grasp what is going to be done to your vehicle. I’ve never been to a mechanic shop quite like American, where the customers seem to come before a quick buck. Took my 1998 toyota camry in for and exhaust problem. George did an incredible job with the mechanics finding the issue right away then showing me where the problem was, the cost, and how much time it would take to repair. The mechanics did an A-1 job and my car is running like new! The place was extremely clean and all workers were very professional. Took in my Tundra for some odd knocking noises from the front passenger side. George did a great job getting my truck in and problem found. I waited a month to post this review to make sure the problem didn't come back and everything has been fixed and holding up great!

I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra. It’s not new, but it’s new to me. I bought some wheels and tires to give it an upgrade in appearance from a local well known, big name tire shop. I will not make any derragatory statements about the tire shop nor will I mention who they are because it’s hard to prove they were trying to pull a fast one on me. Needless to say the tire shop told me I needed 4 new TPMS sensors (tire pressure sensors) for each wheel. This equates to an additional $300 bucks on top of the $2300 for wheels and tires. I ended buying my own from a local parts store for less than $150. I took them in and had them installed. When I picked my truck up I was told that the sensors couldn’t be programmed and more than likely I needed a new TPMS module. I immediately called Toyota and was quoted $700. I was sick to my stomach. Heading home I saw that American Complete Auto repair had opened and decided I had nothing to lose by getting an estimate. No matter what, I knew the price had to be better than what Toyota was quoting me. The owner greeted me at the counter and I explained my dilemma to him. He informed me that in order to give me a correct estimate, a diagnostic was required. The diagnostic was either $40 or $50, but would be credited towards my bill if I decided to have American do the work. Once again I had nothing to lose and agreed. About 45 minutes later the owner came back in handed me my keys and told me I was ready to go and my truck was fixed. I instantly became argumentative and told him I never authorized repairs. The owner smiled and told me I owed him nothing. He told me there was nothing wrong with the module or the sensors and that it simply needed to be re-calibrated & reset. The diagnostic reset everything to work properly. I was ecstatic and couldn’t thank him enough. Thanks to his honesty and truly professional employees I saved close to $1000. American will always be my first choice for auto repair!!
