Be carful! Fraud Alert!! I left my phone for repair on Saturday for two hours. They did a reseting before I left and took the phone back to fix the home button. I come back to pick up my phone. There was no charge because they only tightened some screws, so I never took my credit card out my wallet. As soon as I left the store I received an email from Chase to confirm a purchase of $. 2,973.94 at an electric store. I called Chase and I was told that the purchase was made at Apple sore and the credit card information was keyed in. What other information was taken out of my phone..? I called the manager of this store. Mr D.Z., Monday morning. I provided my credits card information and offered to forwarded Chase’s email. He totally denied his employees have stolen the information from my phone, and impolitely closed the conversation. What other information did they get from my phone? What should I do next???? Should I contact a lawyer ...

Store does a good job of selling you items, but runs horrible tech support. I have had countless issues with making appointments and this location always being late to visit with you with little to no communication. My latest visit I had to wait twenty minutes for a friendly tech to assist me with the battery replacement for my phone. I called ahead of time to see if they would have the batteries in stock. They told me that there was a 95% chance they would have the batteries and could do the swap. When I got there the person next to me has to wait to March to get this done and I have to wait over a week and need to come back to store again. I rather just have waited and come in when they actual had the batteries in stock. I don't get how you have to wait a week for an appointment, then complete a diagnostic to tell you to they have no batteries and come back again in over a week. My tech support person was great and was doing her best to help me, but the management at this store is poor at best. Sounds like Apple is trying to drive customers into their stores to up sell you on products and items.

I came here to help someone because they were on the iPhone upgrade program and were due for an upgrade. All we came in was to exchange the old iPhone for the newer one. Despite this they were pretty slow and felt like they were trying to aggressively up sell accessories they we didn't want while we were waiting. It's definitely not a place you just stop in because it's always mobbed and the service is slow. At least the staff were nice and we only have to go back once a year.

I didn't really get the Apple hype. 3 years ago just to check it out I got an Iphone 6S. It was OK but I thought Apple was greedy since they didn't let the phone easily integrate with Google Photos for unlimited storage (they do now). I was planing on switching over to the Note 9 but I figured I'd put in a new battery on the phone and maybe get another 6 months out of it. When I went to get my phone battery replaced the Iphone tech broke a clip on my phone while repairing. They gave me a brand new phone on the spot! It was pretty awesome and their customer service is amazing. I've "converted" and my next phone will be an Iphone again thanks to the service I got at the Oak Brook store.

Rude and arrogant stuff. We tried to change a battery for a 6s also had some other issues with a 8. Staff there were being so rude and arrogant once they found out that you were there not for buying a new phone. Losing interest in answering you right away. Also changing a battery was literally took a whole afternoon in and out. This was not a busy weekend.

Had an appointment for 4:50 and they didn’t take me until 6. After over an hour of waiting they told me it was too late to fix my device and I’d have to leave it overnight or come back. They were nice, but very unprofessional to have to wait over an hour for a scheduled appointment

I went to the Genius Bar last month after speaking to a customer service representative on the phone. The representative on the phone indicated she believed I was experiencing battery swelling, as my phone was popping out of its surrounding housing. When I brought my phone in to the Genius Bar, the technician told me that he believed my phone had been improperly repaired and it looked like the screen had been removed before. I have never ever had my phone in for any other sort of repair or even had it out of my possession since the day I got it. I purchased a brand new phone directly from the Apple store, so if my phone has been opened ever, then I was sold a defective phone from Apple. Maybe this was refurbished and sold as new? The technician insinuated that I was lying multiple times which seemed really unprofessional and is simply not true in this case. I'm sure people lie to Apple Care all the time about what happened to their phones, but I have no idea how to even remove the screen from my phone and I have never taken it anywhere for repair or alteration. I bought it "new", took it out of the box, put a case on it, and have used it regularly ever since with no issues until now. My phone was less than one month outside of its one year Apple Care warranty and the store refused to do anything else about my issue other than offer to charge me $300 to replace the entire screen and housing. I don't know who to talk to or what to do about my experience but for now I bought a bigger case that covers a little bit of the front of the screen to keep everything together. I wish this was handled better and I'm not sure if anything else can be done at this point, but I feel like an $800 phone should last more than one year.

I was leary about going to this store because of some of the bad reviews but I was glad we went. Very happy with my purchase and the service. Only waited about 15 mins and the store was busy! I am blown away by the iSheep in this joint. Stopped in to ask a question about my daughter's phone because she insisted she wanted an iphone. Her phone was having hardware issues after only 9 months of owning the phone. I cannot put into words the lack of knowledge the "geniuses" have regarding the hardware problems their products have. I should not have to educate them on their own products and known hardware issues. They should be embarrassed. Thank God for T mobile, they not only knew about the hardware issue that Apple had no clue of, they replaced the phone in 2 days. Why does this store even exist! What a waste of mall space.

I went in with an iphone 7 that couldn't connect to the network. It was because of a faulty module that couldn't talk to the new OS. This was supposed to be covered under warranty at no cost to me. Unfortunately, my screen was cracked, so they wanted me to pay $150 to replace the screen, and then they would do the warranty repair. There was no coming to an agreement, and the manager I dealt with was like talking to a wall. As a reasonable person that's been using iphones since they first came out, it is more than disappointing to see what has become of this company. I'm done with Apple phones and products.

Then we asked the lady who has helping us about prices for an item and she said “I don’t know somewhere between 20-50,” with an annoyed look. Then she proceeded to take out her phone and check her social media!!! Very unprofessional. Then as I was checking in, another employee came up to me and rudely told me to move. No please or anything but a “can you move???” They then told us to check back At 2:30, and so we got back in line at 2:26, and the guy said “well if they said 2:30 then it’s 2:30”, and refused to look it up for us!!! We had to get out of line, wait 4 more minutes and then he helped us...not a good experience overall, and we are not picky people, but these employees act like they own Apple...

Standard Apple fare with standard layout. Staff was unobtrusive yet helpful . Seniors getting a tutorial on laptop uses was taking place in one area. Groups should consider this? Senior groups? I like the layout but the don't price accessories in a visible location at their stores is odd ( I don't like asking because what if I like two things? And end up looking cheap) .

So I don’t have anything bad to say about this store. But I have lots to say about apple in its self. My kids phones where stolen at a water park today. So we where like ok we can use the find my phone 1st time we had to use it. Come to find out the phone has to be on with WiFi and or the provider data. If I had know that I would have never purchase all 11 apple devices. I would stuck with Android. Further when the phone was turned on the scum who stole my 2 phones where notified the phone stolen and being tracked so they where allowed to turn it back off witch the phone should not have been allowed to be turned back off and stop being traced. The phone should have froze staying on so it could be tracked. I think I’m going to get some advice from a lawyer about what I can do about the cost of the phones and not being clear on the features of these devices.

Don’t come here if you thinking to get your product repair under the warranty!! They’ll charge you for everything. Paid $199 for a 2 years warranty with AppleCare plus, came in for the first incident because I have the problem with the cable which probably cost Apple less than a dollar to replace but the Apple Genius Bar guy said it would be $19 fee to replace the cord which about the same price as the brand new cord. Been an Apple fan since the iPhone 4s... have every Apple product. Used to have the problem with the cord twice during the period of time and got them replaced for free under the warranty at the old Apple store on Michigan ave in downtown Chicago. this location at oakbrook does not care about the customers since it’s in the expensive neighborhood they only care about the money. Instead of “hey no problem we can replace your (cost us a dollar to make) cord for a free of charge since you paid $199 for a warranty with your $1199 iPhone and thank you for being a loyal customer to us” No I don’t want to get it replaced now because how I was being treated. Will write a letter to the headquarter as well.

So I don’t have anything bad to say about this store. But I have lots to say about apple in its self. My kids phones where stolen at a water park today. So we where like ok we can use the find my phone 1st time we had to use it. Come to find out the phone has to be on with WiFi and or the provider data. If I had know that I would have never purchase all 11 apple devices. I would stuck with Android. Further when the phone was turned on the scum who stole my 2 phones where notified the phone stolen and being tracked so they where allowed to turn it back off witch the phone should not have been allowed to be turned back off and stop being traced. The phone should have froze staying on so it could be tracked. I think I’m going to get some advice from a lawyer about what I can do about the cost of the phones and not being clear on the features of these devices.

Don’t come here if you thinking to get your product repair under the warranty!! They’ll charge you for everything. Paid $199 for a 2 years warranty with AppleCare plus, came in for the first incident because I have the problem with the cable which probably cost Apple less than a dollar to replace but the Apple Genius Bar guy said it would be $19 fee to replace the cord which about the same price as the brand new cord. Been an Apple fan since the iPhone 4s... have every Apple product. Used to have the problem with the cord twice during the period of time and got them replaced for free under the warranty at the old Apple store on Michigan ave in downtown Chicago. this location at oakbrook does not care about the customers since it’s in the expensive neighborhood they only care about the money. Instead of “hey no problem we can replace your (cost us a dollar to make) cord for a free of charge since you paid $199 for a warranty with your $1199 iPhone and thank you for being a loyal customer to us” No I don’t want to get it replaced now because how I was being treated. Will write a letter to the headquarter as well.

Did not like that we had to wait so long even with an appointment made 5 days in advance. Our first experience there was very frustrating and confusing. It was so crowded and there was no clear path of where to go once in the store. We finally grabbed someone coming out of the back room and asked what we do since we had an appointment. They directed us to a staff member who was standing in an area off to the side and asked us to wait at a table. We waited at that table for 30 minutes. What is the point of an appointment? Once we were helped the staff member was mult-itasking, but knowledgeable nice and time efficient.

Staff is very helpful and courteous. But it is so crowded in evening that you have to wait a lot for your turn. Even when you have an appointment you have to go through same check in process as the walk ins. So what's the point of talking to customer care and getting an appointment before coming? This is not a problem at this store only but all the stores!!

PROBLEM: I brought in an iPhone that I found on the street, hoping Apple would ping the owner and let them know it was available for pick up. Their callous response (literally): “we’re not a lost and found”. Manager didn’t even look up from his device as he said it. Next time I buy a $1000 device, I’ll remember this company/location give no f**ks about helping me or others recover lost devices even when someone brings it to the store directly (insane). Otherwise: Great location; good service time turnaround.

It’s a pretty good apple store, my visit was pretty fast and we were set up with a representative within 5 mins of reaching the store, he explained all the new features that were introduced to the new phone compared to the old one I had. The only thing that took a while was setting up the phone and moving the apps and data I had in my previous phone onto the new one, but I can’t really blame them for that. Overall I had a pretty good experience here.

The other week I broke my phone. I went first to T-mobile I have phone service with, and they tried to get me to pay for a new phone and a phone line (which I didn’t need). Thank God I decided to go to the Apple store in Oak Brook next. I was having an extremely rough day already having 2 phones that didn’t work. The specialist were exceptionally helpful and I left the store with a better deal and no money to owe or having an extra phone line? T-mobile has to work better with their co-workers. I lost my sim card (on the same day with a new phone) and the co-worker in the store said “Theirs something wrong with your new Iphone 6 because the phone can’t read your new sim card.” He sent me back to the apple store again, thankfully the specialist in the apple store figured out the problem. The sim card wasn’t the problem, the worker at T-mobile didn’t activate my sim card... Thank you Apple store for helping me out and letting me know to go to Apple store first from now on. I wish Apple had their own phone service. God bless you all.

So disappointed in their “batterygate” replacement program. I went online and scheduled my appointment. I mentioned several times during the online scheduling that the battery needed to be replaced. I came in before my scheduled time and they informed me that they had no batteries in stock and that they had to order one. A week later I receive a call that the battery is in. I was told I did not need an appointment and to just come in. I asked the apple employee what time they opened on Sunday morning and was told 9am. Guess what? I arrive at 9am to find out they opened at 8am and now there was a 2 hour wait. I have my 5 year old twins with me and the apple employee just says, “well the mall is open”. I skipped going to church this morning so I could get this done. The only positive thing I can say is that apple is the nicest company that just doesn’t care about their customers. The store had 2 tables with iPads that looked like they were setup for kids and games. However neither table of iPads were charged. 8 iPads in total not charged up.

I went to get my iPhone 6 battery replaced for $29 before that deal is up. They ran diagnostic test and basically told me that I really didn't need a battery...it could be a software issue that causes you to have to charge your battery so often, blah, blah, blah...but if you insist on a new battery...no problem, we can do that for you...but I do want you to be aware that we use a suction cup for the repair and in the current condition of your phone we could ruin your display and you would need to replace your display for $129 extra bucks. I said, "currently...there is no crack, scratch, or break on my screen (see my picture)...so why would I have to pay for what you possibly break???" He corrected me and said, "what we MIGHT accidentally further compromise...we will try not to!" He said, "if your phone didn't have normal wear and tear...we wouldn't be having this conversation, we'd be replacing your battery for $29 bucks and get you out the door." I said, "If your CEO didn't mess with our iPhones causing the battery to get ruined, we wouldn't be having this conversation...I came hear to pay $29...not $158 for a three year old phone." I said, how do I know if I sign the agreement about the risk...that your technicians won't just take a jack hammer to my screen and make me pay for it?" He said, "I wish you would trust my 10 years of expertise here at the store and be assured that we do not operate that way at Apple." I said, "I would love to trust that...but after what your CEO did...I can't...and so...I walked out! This experience has really made me really regret buying an iPhone 6...I never had these issues when I had my Samsung Galaxy!!! I will not be back to this Apple Oakbrook store...I can guarantee that!!!

This location should be embarrassed by their customer service representative. After my iPhone 7 completely stopped working I called my cell phone carrier, and found out that the model I have is defective. I was advised to go to the nearest apple store for further evaluation. I was able to get over to the closest store (still open), arriving at 8:40pm today Friday 7/27/18. Aware they close at 9pm I was still hoping that someone could give me information of what I can do, or possibly a "loaner" phone. As a business owner I need my phone 12-16 hours a day. I hate being "that guy," but this was my only opportunity for the next three days. When I arrived the Apple employee greeted me, but her tone immediately changed when she realized I did not need to purchase something. She encouraged me to schedule something for Tuesday (4 days away). She kept interrupting me and blowing me off when ever I would explain my situation, and didn't feel like she knew how critical it was for me not to have a phone as a business owner. Let me remind you that the reason I was there, was because Apple gave me a defective product, this was not something I did to the phone. I also have 8 other apple products between my wife and I. I will not going back to this location.

Recently I lost my iPhone, I reported the phone lost and made a claim with Assurant. Filled out the online form and claim was pending. Next day when I checked my email the claim was denied with a reason of " Find My iPhone must be switched on prior to the device being lost or stolen. ". Since the find my Iphone was turned on I called their claim department. I was told that the reason why the claim was denied is know to them and that I will have to contact the corporate office in WRITING. So Apple does did not disclose to me that their Apple care is actually thru a 3rd party provider and I have to contact corporate office thru WRITING. This is apple dropping the boll and this is corporate greed.

Came in at my scheduled time to pick up an iPhone I ordered and paid for on line, it was sim-free. Thought I’d be in and out- left almost an hour later. You are checked in and sent to another line along the wall where you wait until an “expert” can help you. I had to ask three times to be waited on-the first two no one ever showed up. The third time because the female “expert” went to wait on the four young men behind me in line, they had to activate and she gave them phones. I nearly lost it. No one seemed to be in charge at all. The people are nice but there is zero organization.

It would have been helpful to receive a text at a designated number when my phone was ready. Our one hour repair turned into two and we had to keep asking if it was ready. Would have been much easier to get a text on my phone when my daughter's phone was ready

People are nice enough but they are understaffed and undermanaged. Went in to buy a gift, knew exactly what I wanted, and waited over 10 minutes behind people who did not know what they wanted. It looked like I would wait at least another 10, so I left. Going in a different direction. Have had a lot of frustration with Apple in the last 12-18 months.

OMG, the worst apple store i have been to! I came in to buy a phone, no particular help needed , no activation no setup nothing! They didnt sign me in since i have already decided what im getting! I was sent to the “ express” counter!!! Here for 45 minutes already, 5 people asked if i need help and then go away! Other customers jumping the line!!! Very unorganized... annoying AF!

Apple has great customer service. My sister went in because her phone would not charge and they replaced her phone for free! Make sure to back your phone up before you visit to ensure that you don’t lost any data. Going to the Apple Store inherently doesn’t make you lose your data, but if they need to “operate” on it, it’s a good idea to save your phone data. They’re really good at explaining things to more elderly clients and are always nice. Only downside is that when they call your name, they don’t know what you look like and you don’t vice versa so it’s stressful to find whoever called you when you come for an appointment sometimes.

As a long time Apple customer and the recent buyer of a new iPhone XR i had a couple technical questions I wanted to ask one of the Apple employees. Initial greeter was great and when he consulted his counterpart it was then that the employee made me feel as if I was bothering him and I felt very slighted. Note to Apple....don’t put employees that have zero people skills and are rude in front of your main entry, not the best look.

Whether you are tired of working a long shift or not, you may want to keep good attitude until the end. Bad attitude can affect other staffs as well as customers.

They told me they’d be able to transfer the data from my old hard drive when they installed the new one and did not inform me that they weren’t able to when I went to pick up my laptop. Had to go through a lengthy process to find this out after I left. I understood that it was possible the data wouldn’t transfer, but am not sure why I wasn’t told this in store. Disappointed in the lack of basic customer service.

Staff was nice and very helpful with our issue. My sons front face camera stopped working so we set up an appointment. They tracked down the issue to be a hardware problem so they swapped out the phone and I didn’t have to pay any fee or turn it into my phone companies insurance. Definitely recommend-always have an appointment and stay on top of your warranty for your Apple warranty.

This is very disturbing. I brought to them a working phone in a good condition to change the battery as there is a known issue with the battery. When it was pickup the screen is all cracked and no visibilty to see your scrreen, the manager at the store is telling me to pay $130 to fix my screen which they broke. I am beside myself and outrage. NOT HAPPY

The Apple Store is like the new DMV. You go in there and you wait in line to just to be told to go wait in another line. This is even if you have an appointment. I guess it was stupid of me to think that an appointment meant something and that I would get service. Bring headphones and a movie if you need to be here.
