Larry has been doing my laptop repairs for a good while. His prices are very good, he is readily available, does the work fairly quickly even with little notice ahead of time and he knows his stuff, which is why I drive a little further to drop off the sickly laptops at his place. He has also always been willing to take calls or answer e-mail questions, even outside of normal hours, regarding my laptop problems and doesn't charge anything for those contacts. I will continue to use use Larry's services as long as he's willing to keep fixing my low-end laptops.

I contacted Larry thru Craigslist. Told him the problems that i had and we set a time for him to come over. He diagnosed my problem right away. I had to order the part and he came back and fixed it. He took his time and explained everything. I'm not computer savvy and he could tell right away. Impressed with how time conscious he is. I would definitely recommend Larry. Larry at Computer Doctor did a first rate job on my Acer Laptop. I was not able to log in from the start up screen. The password was not recognized so I took it to the doctor. I was called back the same day with repaired Acer laptop. The same one with which I am writing this review. I was told that over time all computers tend to start running slower due to the amount of junk or virus that arrives from the internet on the computers hard drive. Eventually a slower running computer stops functioning correctly. That's the time to contact the Computer Doctor. Thanks Computer Doctor Jack in Meridian

We called the "computer doctor" because I was having an issue with charging my laptop. He assured me he could fix it. I took it to him and got it back 3 days later with a warped keyboard that does not work. When we contacted him about it, he said it wasn't his problem because he didn't take the keyboard apart and refused to accept any responsibility for it. I will be contacting the BBB about this!!!!!

I bought a computer from Computer Doctor of Boise last night because my power went out and fried my computer. I work from home and this of course caused a huge issue for me and I needed an immediate fix, so went to Computer Doctor of Boise and he saved my life! Great computer! Great Price! Great owner! Larry at the computer doctor was the only shop that I could find to fix my computer. The rest told me to buy a new one. Larry replaced my hard drive and put windows 7 back on for less than $100. I called the computer doctor on Sunday and they came out and removed a bad virus. No extra charge for Sunday. I would recommend them to anyone. The other company I called said I would need to wipe my hard drive. I didn't want to lose my programs. This way I lost nothing, After my experience with this company I referred them to my boss. I am new to Boise and was ecstatic to find Larry. I needed some work on my travel laptop, which Larry did quickly and well. Then, just now, I needed more work on my main computer . . . and was also looking for a desktop . . . . Larry was able to do all of it quickly and well and had an amazing desktop offer. We were extremely disappointed in our experience with Larry at computer doctor, we had an 11 a.m. appt and we were home by 10:30 to ensure we were here in time for him.....by 11:45 I called and left a message for him....He did call back and said he had called twice, but calls did not go thru....he had a program for us that would work but needed a cable to run it and was trying to find one to buy.....he was headed for radio shack and told me he would call and let us know if he found one ...........That was the last time we heard from him although I did call him again one more time and no return call .....in this day and age there is no excuse for not taking the time to call and cancel or update us....we waited all day to hear from him..........we will not use him again and will not be referring him after our experience........word of mouth says a lot..

I contacted Larry about my laptop and he called back within 10 minutes. With the help I got from him I was able to get my computer back up in a hurry. Having a huge project due this week for school, it was imperative I got my system back up. He suggested two different ways to fix it and the second one worked. I would highly recommend Larry. I needed help with my laptop computer which was not responding properly. Larry came to my house twice, fixed my problems or explained why the updated software wouldn't do what I wanted it to any more. He was very helpful and reasonably priced. I would certainly use his service again in the future.

My laptop got infected with a dreadful virus, that all but shut it down. Larry was immediately responsive, recognized the virus and how it attacks computer files and the registry, explained technical issues in every day language and suggested corrective actions (installing free or low cost Malwarebytes) with no high pressure tactics. I also liked that he is professionally certified. He gave me cost estimates at every step, and alternatives such as to bring my computer to his place or pay $10 for him to retrieve it from my home. He completed his repairs within 48 hours and provided me a written invoice which included all actions taken and virus removal guarantee - all this at a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend his professional services!
