They fixed me phone after I shattered the screen. It took a week to get the parts to fix it. I got my phone back and now the front camera doesn't work and it did before I brought it in. Then to add insult to injury, they kept my SD card from my phone with contacts and other info. When I called to find out where it was, the person I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about. I'm take my phone into my SP. That's probably the best bet vs this place.

TL;DR: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I LOST ALL OF MY DATA WHEN I WENT HERE. Especially if your computer is fixed by Jeffery Sabatini. I went there because the hinges on my XPS 13 were broken; I had trouble opening and closing the laptop, as well as charging the laptop. When I went there, I was told that this was a 'hardware' issue by Jeffery and that he had seen cases like this all the time; I took this to mean that the issue should be resolved promptly. I hadn't backed up all of my data by then and because the hinges were broken, I couldn't open the laptop without breaking it so to speak. I told Jeffery that I needed to download some pieces of data for work whilst the computer was being repaired and he was very hesitant initially, because he had taken the computer apart and for me to download the info, he would need to put it back together again (basically it would inconvenience him). After a while, he relented and told me to only download the key pieces of info that I needed. I rushed to the store and downloaded the key pieces into a pendrive. Fast forward a week later, Jeffery emails me out of the blue and says that my laptop 'could not be turned on' and that all the data was 'corrupted'. I panicked and asked him if it meant the data was 'lost'. He said yes and promptly asked me if I wanted to reinstall the OS which would cost me another $80 on top of the $160 he was charging me. He provided ZERO EXPLANATION as to what happened. After failing to get an adequate response, I sent an email to him saying how frustrating this was: not only did he not warn me that this could happen, but he also rushed me through my data downloading process while leading me to believe that I would safely have my laptop back in one piece over the promised time. On top of all of this, I was getting spurts of communication from him saying that my data had been 'lost' with zero explanation why. His boss then calls me and apologizes, but proceeds to blame me for not backing up the data beforehand saying that "things happen all the time". He even asked me if I "knew what Dropbox was." I was so aghast by his response and explained to him what had happened. He waived the $80 but the data could no longer be salvaged by then. I collected my laptop from Jeffery who did not apologize for this whole incident at all. Long story short: these guys are a scam. Do not go there. They have zero customer empathy and do not understand what good service means.

The tech got frustrated with my questions. Told me: " too busy to assist me with any additional questions and I'm complaining too much about money". I took both laptops and left. I went around the corner to University Computer and didnt mind paying the same amount. You shouldn't treat customers rudely for asking questions about pricing or equipment

The WORST technical individual on earth! My computer has NEVER been right. . $169.00 4 a motherboard? . Like that other dude said more problems. . My computer is freezing and beeping like crazy the worst service EVER !

I've used The Computer Fixer for out of warranty service on my previous MacBook Pro. Once to replace a damaged hard drive, and another to fix problems with the mainboard. I've found them to be responsive and fair, with good turnaround times in both cases.

Very poor service. They took my laptop apart 4 times over. After 2 months it was never fixed and I had to really try hard to get my full money back. He was about to claim that they keep a $40 deposit on any computer the customer takes back. Now, I understand that sometimes not all things are fixable. However, when they returned the laptop to me with the original parts the left out screws and did an unacceptable job. The screen now falls out of the housing, the panels meant to hide all the wiring are constantly falling off, whats worse they actually left out multiple screws when putting it back together. NEVER GO HERE. They are disrespectful to you and your stuff. Recap: 1 - went to repair screen 2 - They bought the wrong screen and broke some wires in the computer 3 - They buy new screen. Screen comes in and now features like touch, sleep sensors, and an array of other things don't work 4 - 2 months later they ask me if I'm willing to wait more months, but I have to leave the city so I decline. 5 - They are about to withhold money form me (supposedly a deposit for taking the computer back with me, a policy they never mention before). I explain that I had paid in full and only took the computer back when they could not fix it. They do give me back the money in full. 6 - Now my computer is not just cracked, but is missing screws, won't close properly, and is falling apart. If you wan't to pay people to break your stuff then definitely go here.

NOTE: I am revising a previous 1 star review in light of a follow-up call from the owner that resolved the issue. The short version: I had a very unsatisfactory experience with an iPad repair, left an angry review and thought that was the end of it. The owner actually called me to see if there was anything he could do to turn this around, and he came up with a creative solution that left me with a properly repaired iPad at the original promised price. My faith in the Computer Fixer is restored. Thanks, Jay!

Went there with a wet laptop. They told me that they need to order a part in order to fix the computer, and the part will arrive in 5 business day. They charged 50$ just for look at the lap top by the way. Only after 11 days they called me back, saying that they couldn't fix the laptop!!! They transferred the data and charged me 80$ in addition to the 50$ they charged me for NOTHING. I believe that if I would go to a different place they would find the problem in a day and charge me less than 130$ just for tranfering data.

Had a great experience here. I had to get my laptop battery replaced, but the first replacement battery I ordered was a dud and I had to come back in multiple times until it was finally fixed, and they only charged me once. Both Jeff and Jay are great guys and hooked me up.

I went there for employment verification today. When I asked to make sure I was in the right place, the employee who I'll call Jeff (see below for description) turned around a bruskly pointed to a sign. He took my passport and returned. When he finished, I asked if there was any way I could receive some documentation. He refused and gruffly told me, "You're done here." He said he didn't have paperwork for me, but I was curious about whether he could at least print the confirmation for me. Then he launched into a mini monologue about "how you're not listening. You're wasting my time. People don't listen these days and that's what's wrong with people. I've done my part and I'm not obligated to do anything like that for you. I won't. You're done." The service was performed, so I'll give him a star for that, but the customer service was horrendous, condescending, and repulsive. I will not be using the Computer Fixer services in the future. For those interested in what "Jeff" looked like, he was a bald/balding Caucasian man who had a George Constanza-like body if Constanza was taller and had a bigger tire around his waist. He wore a striped polo. Jeff, if you're reading this: I've read other reviews of you treating others badly. I don't know what's going on, but now that I've written out my experience, I just want to let you know I forgive you. I don't know what sort of experiences led to your actions or behaviors, but I hope life will allow you to heal those hidden wounds of yours. In

I'm pre-emptively writing a good review. I took my laptop in yesterday and I'm holding on to it while parts are shipping, but service was fast, they really went out of their way to fully evaluate my problem, and when the parts get in I should only be without my computer for a day or two. I'll update when the computer is fixed!

I brought in an old, very very dead laptop to see if any data was recoverable off it. After a weekend of attempts, it was unfortunately declared dead. I'm leaving a 5 star review and recommending this shop to everyone I know because even though he couldn't resuscitate my bricked hard drive (which was a lost cause anyway), he worked on it for days and charged me nothing because "it's our policy to only charge if we can do the repair" - which was refreshing to hear. A+ customer service.
