It’s amazingly sad how awful our experience was. We were referred to you by someone at the Apple store who assured us that you’d have exactly what we needed. (We wanted an external computer monitor and a few accessories). Perhaps we went in with high expectations for service - the type of professionalism one would experience at any Apple store. Instead, it was difficult to find someone to help us. And when we did, the wait was unreasonably long. To make matters worse, not one, but two of your associates began assisting customers who had just walked up and not those of us who were already waiting. Over in the section with Apple products, there was no one to help. Other associates (who were doing nothing but hiding in another section talking to each other - one was even sitting down in a chair) refused to help and insisted that the person for that section “would be right back.” After about 15 minutes, another associate finally had to call that person to come back to their section. When that person did come back, he came over and asked how he could help us. In the middle of explaining what we needed - and this is no exaggeration - another associate walked in front of us, interrupted our conversation with no salutation or apology, and took the associate helping us over to another customer. It felt as though we were invisible. To say we were insulted is an understatement. Later when that associate finally returned, he gave a half-hearted excuse that your store is “busy on the weekends.” I just have to say, if you’re truly so busy that you can’t remember basic customer service and courtesy, then it may be worth 1.) having more people on the floor, 2.) training those people to be in the section they’re responsible for, and 3.) assisting customers quickly and professionally. The way we were treated was truly appalling. We certainly won’t be back, nor would we ever refer anyone else to come. I’ve already returned to the Apple store and insisted that they stop referring people to you because the experience makes them look bad for suggesting you. But please - for the sake of those who do continue to shop at Micro Center - do better.

My laptop battery died after 7 years of use. My brother-in-law recommended I call here. I'm not very technologically inclined at all and was quite surprised when I called the number and it's said that I could actually text the number as well. Stephen helped me through the text messaging to know that they did have the battery I needed. He was very helpful in every way so that I would be prepared when I got to the store. Upon arrival a young woman helped me to have a sales assistant (Tyler) take me to find the battery for my laptop, which he did as well as helped me to decide on a couple of other items. As I mentioned before I'm not very technical at all so I asked a gentleman if there was somebody who could just show me how to or possibly install the battery for me. So I was sent to Tim and he was very helpful and didn't make me feel silly for not knowing very much about such things. I was able to have my old battery left there for recycling and the checkout process was wonderful with Kyle. What a great place this is and I'll definitely drive here if I have any other future needs. They have a Now Hiring sign in the window and I would recommend this as a place to work because everyone was very friendly, helpful, and they definitely seem to be a team! Thank you all for your help!

I had a problem with my laptop, and as a grad student, that was a BIG problem! The staff in repairs was incredibly helpful in trying to figure out the issue while I was there (instead of just taking it in the back and giving it back to me God knows when). Once we figured out the issue (the cheating cable was broken), the sales people on the floor were very helpful in finding the right replacement! Long story short, I most definitely recommend this store :)

Very good store if you need one or two parts to finish a computer. A lot of things are over priced which could be beat by shopping online. They do have great sales though which i do enjoy because the sales sometimes beat out online competition. The guys at Micro Center in Wayne were accommodating and knowledgeable. Side note: there is one guy in the customer service/repairs area (to your immediate right, when you first enter), who has an odd, nervous personality and mild body odor. He really stood out for the lack of hygiene. Still he was helpful. I chalked it up to the idea that it takes all kinds. Because of the professionalism and knowledgeability of these helpful guys, I continue to go back.

Computer Mecca. You need it, they got it. Comparable to Amazon pricing and they price match Amazon! There is no reason to go anywhere else. I drive over an hour just to shop here! I want to add, the professionalism and knowledge of the staff is unmatched. I've spoken to 4 employees about various items and their knowledge is incredible. One helped me buy the right components for a computer upgrade that didn't break the bank. He knew what I was going for and found matching components accordingly. Didn't go for the most expensive and when he did suggest something that was more money, he explained why and still didn't push to spend the extra money. I did end up spending more on a few items solely on the salesman's explanation and I felt completely satisfied that I did. You CANNOT go wrong here! Nice touch that they all have business cards! Very professional! I love that the salesmen sticker each item they help you select so that they are accountable for what they sell you. Go here. Don't order from Amazon! Take the drive, even if it's an hour. You'll be glad you did.

The staff here is always super helpful if you have any questions or issues with a product. My only complaint would be the amount of add-ons and recommended software/coverage that are recommended to the customer during checkout, including applying for the store credit card. It's an industry standard thing to do but small purchases are still usually subject to the same questions.

The selection is amazing and I tend to find ways to happily burn my money here. The prices are VERY competitive with online vendors. Everything is good there if you buy new item. But when you reserving something open box, they think different about that. Because for micro center open box is not just open box item, it also may used item for few month. And what is worse they dropping prices in few dollars. 2 time reserved open box item and when I got store they brought me dirty and all in scratches items, that was look like used 2-3 month. Normally open box item that one, somebody bought it opened and didn't like and returned it in 14 days. But for this store open box and used item is same thing. I hope they will work on it. And one more. They gonna cheat you on microcenter card aslo. The card shows 5% discount but before they give you discount they calculate your tax from whole summary and then give you discount. That's mean on end you getting 3-4% discount and you pay tax for before discount summary

Having launched myself into PC building out of the blue, I can say that I had no idea how many trips to Micro Center one can willingly - even happily - make in one month. If you're lost the ever-helpful salespeople are sure to point you in the right direction, but I've never had them force their opinion on me when I just wanted to browse. Excellent sales and bundle promos on PC parts and a sane return policy. Insane selection of peripherals, too. Highly recommend.

Microcenter is my go-to for computers. My only complaint is that it isn't closer to where I live. In this case I needed to replace an old desktop for home that was at least 5 years old. It is only used for very basic needs (email, web surfing, amazon.) The salesman understood the needs and only talked to me about computers at the same tier. Unlike other retailers they never tried to talk me into overkill (Mac, Alienware) for these basic needs. I spent significantly less than I would have at any other retailer and I'll be good for at least another 5 years.

In the past I have had little issue but this experience has been a nightmare. I went to the store yesterday (Monday October 14, 2019) and bought a CPU,Mobo, Case, ram, and psu. It is about a 45 min drive for me so I got home open the box for the case, glass is broken. Have to drive back to the store to exchange it. Today I open up the motherboard to prep it for the case since my cooler is coming in tomorrow and I see what you see below. Not only is the board clearly used (I bought a new board) but it appears when it was returned they didn't even bother to look to see if the product was damaged before putting it on the shelves again as new. So now I have 13 days to return this board which will now be 3 hours of extra driving and I still am no where near the point in a build where I turn it on. If you buy from them I suggest you remove every single part you buy in the store to make sure it isn't broken or clearly used and marked at full price. I am also including a dated Amazon tracking page of the actual cooler I am buying to stop any "He did that himself" thoughts that might come up. Update: brought the board back, the serial on the board did not match the box but was given a replacement. I am adjusting the review to reflect the response from microcenter which was actually very professional despite all that has happened

This place is like a Radio Shack and Best Buy combined. Lots of stuff for tech enthusiasts and general users. I was able to get everything I needed for a Raspberry Pi project here including a case. They sell gaming stuff, games, computer parts, 3D printers, prebuilt PCs, laptops, monitors and plenty more. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're a tech enthusiast, or Best Buy doesn't have something you need.

Went to micro center for a build and had some complications with the parts not being compatible. Came back the next day and was helped by the sales manager Darryl, the customer service was excellent. We resolved all the issues & I was taken care of no problems. Friendly staff & overall very pleased with the experience. Will definitely be shopping with them in the future.

My wife and I are writing this review from our newly built desktop computer which would not have been possible without the help from Tim, Fred, and the rest of the staff at Micro Center. We started the build the evening before, ordering all the necessary hardware with the help of David. Unfortunately, we found out that our power supply unit was faulty which, in turn, affected the motherboard and other hardware. We ended coming back to Micro Center the next day where Tim and Fred led the effort in rehabilitating our computer. About three hours later, after much time and patience by those two, the PC came to life. It has been a few days since then and it works perfectly. Thank you so much to the team there - we now know where to go for all our electronic needs.

After wandering around the store for another 10 minutes before I could find a sales associate to help me find a replacement, I determined that Micro Center did not have anymore of the cable I was looking for. I informed the sales associate that I'd be ordering one on Amazon instead. I don't know how this place stays in business.

My wife and I are writing this review from our newly built desktop computer which would not have been possible without the help from Tim, Fred, and the rest of the staff at Micro Center. We started the build the evening before, ordering all the necessary hardware with the help of David. Unfortunately, we found out that our power supply unit was faulty which, in turn, affected the motherboard and other hardware. We ended coming back to Micro Center the next day where Tim and Fred led the effort in rehabilitating our computer. About three hours later, after much time and patience by those two, the PC came to life. It has been a few days since then and it works perfectly. Thank you so much to the team there - we now know where to go for all our electronic needs.

This place was great! I was looking for a store close by with a good selection of components for a system upgrade. I found everything I needed on there website, created an online account, and ten minutes after I made my parts reservation it was available for pick up at the store. Worst service experience EVER! I take a Dell XPS ultrabook in for repair, they tell me no problem, it's under warranty, 4 days later I get a call they won't fix it unless I pay for the hardware? WHAT? I call Dell pro support, it's covered and they'll be more than happy to fix it with a 2-3 day turn around time. I even bought Microcenters "Protection plan", I have a hunch that plan isn't worth anything at this point and I probably wasted my money. Highly unlikely I'll be back for anything. 8/12/19 Per the comment below, I responded with the details of my experience, by email on 8/8/19, as of today, no response . Dell took care of it under warranty, I was only without my laptop 3 days and Dell paid the overnight priority shipping, so either Microcenter's service department outright lies to the customer or they aren't trained properly, not my job to find out the difference.

Dell took care of it under warranty, I was only without my laptop 3 days and Dell paid the overnight priority shipping, so either Microcenter's service department outright lies to the customer or they aren't trained properly, not my job to find out the difference.

I needed an affordable computer with minimum requirements. The guy was helpful, and I got a refurbished HP Business computer with 16 GB of RAM memory. Only a 512 GB solid state HD but that should be ok as I've got a 1 TB external. It's equipped with a 100/1000 network card, plenty of USB ports, a 2 year extended warranty and Office Home. It was all a smooth experience and all I have left to do is to install all the software I use in my everyday activities. Let's hope it all goes smoothly.

Decent prices and great in a hitch when you need something right away. It is fun just to walk around and check out all the cool new technology as well. Fantastic little Raspberry Pi section. One of my only cons is the overwhelming staff who work on commission who will badger you to see if you need help. Oh and if you are looking for Bawls? You've come to the right place.

The redesign threw me off a little when I first went back since last visit. The people are very helpful and will go out of their way to make sure you get the right product. The prices here are good for majority of the products and they also price match any major online retailer. If you are building a computer or just upgrading some components this is definitely where you want to be. Never had to use they service department but from what I can tell it beats geek squad by a mile.

I couldn’t get my macbook to start so I needed to make an appointment at the Apple Store in KOP, since they didn’t have any available spot that could’ve worked with my schedule I did with Micro-Center Genius Bar, went there and the guy took a look on my computer and didn’t know what the problem was so they wanted to send to for repair (i don’t know where) because they couldn’t fix it in store and it was going to take a week or so, I decided not leave it and called the Genius Bar and got a my MacBook repair over the phone thanks to the real genius bar techs from Apple just by following their instructions.

Good overall for finding computer parts. Prices are comparable to amazon and new egg, sometimes slightly cheaper. I will note the guy who works in the Apple store there is quite rude. We were looking for a white keyboard and he proceeded to tell us in a condescending tone that this is only for Apple products and then walked away abruptly. Umm no, McNally keyboards can also be used on pc computers and just reconfigured. What an a**. I’ll get my keyboard elsewhere fine thank you.
