My laptop suddenly stopped working. I brought it to GCS and they had to replace a component on the motherboard. It took about a day to get a diagnosis and about 4 more days for them to order the part and do the repair. They were courteous, professional, reasonable and they got me back up and running. I would definitely use them again. (BTW, I tried the Geek Squad at Best Buy first and they were totally useless.)

They come off as being knowledgeable and tech savy but its all a scam .i purchased a tower refurbished turned it on a week later and it was trashed , virus ridon. But of course the salesmen tried to accuse men of doing something to the product. I purchased it with virus protection it hadn't been used by anyone in my home as it was to be a gift for my children who needed a computer to do a lot of homework assignments and look up info for school projects etc. The sales men accused me of ruining this equipment and refused to look at it or even refund it after it never even being used. Shame on u for taking advantage of a disabled single mother who saved for 2 monthes just to give my children the luxury of not having to walk to the library everyday just to use the computer.

The person working there is not friendly or welcoming. I came in to have the back panel on my phone replaced. I also provided the new rear panel. The guy wanted 30$ and an hour to do it. It only takes 10 min and no materials since I offered everything. Now there is dirt stuck on the inside of the camera from an improper install so I can't take clear pictures anymore.

Honestly thank god for this repair service. The first time I went to them I needed my PS4 HDMI port fixed and due to my lack of funds they negotiated a more than fair price with me. Which is why I didn't hesitate to bring my iPhone to them when I shattered the screen. While Apple wanted to charge me $400 to fix a $650 phone they charged me $124 to fix it and said they could do it in one day.

I went there with a cracked screen they fixed it and I begin to have problems with the touch on my screen it suddenly wasn't picking up in some areas sometimes my phone freezing altogether. I went back they said something inside was broken so I paid for a new part and waited for it to come in. My home button now moves back and forth and my IPhone looks as if one of the sides was stretched or in my opinion not taken apart correctly as when I asked them about this part they said they'd have to glue it. Didn't need glue before I went there. I also have this area on my screen where it looks as if water got into my screen, I asked them about this as it wasn't there before, they said it was due to pressure from the screen(the screen they installed keep that in mind). This place clearly doesn't know what they're doing in every aspect you're better off going to get your electrictronic professionally fixed rather than paying for a half ass job! I refuse to go back they've done enough demage. I walked out with more problems on my phone than what I walked in with.

To whomever takes the time to read this, You are currently looking what seems to be a well reviewed place of business, and that may understandably encourage you to bring your valuable devices to this apparently reputable store. Go elsewhere. My request for services were simple. I had a laptop that would not sleep, and an ipod that would not turn on. Here is what I experienced. 1. I was never given a receipt verifying they were in possession of my devices. 2. I was charged almost $100 for, what I eventually believed to be simple driver updates. Driver updating is a simple process one can do at home in minutes at the click of a button. 3. When I asked specifically what the problem was, the owner's response was, "I'm not here to teach you." 4. My laptop problem still occurs and is not fixed. 5. My ipod was never fixed. I was not charged for this. I'm not angry, I'm just sick of businesses taking advantage of people who are not comfortable with tackling very complicated problems in areas outside of their expertise. Similar things happen with auto mechanics and physicians. All I can do is warn you and hope that as many people see this as humanly possible. Go elsewhere, please.

Rude owner on the phone. Argumentative and aggressive because I asked a question on what exactly he was going to repair. I had tripped over the charging wire and the metal plug in piece broke and was lodged int the outlet. Sorry, I am a customer and if I ask a question about your charges prior to getting a repair done, I am not going to be reprimanded. Would not go back there

I honestly had a remarkable experience at GCS, would recommend it highly to anyone, and will definitely utilize their services again. I called with a question, received a comprehensive explanation, and when I came in to have my phone repaired the staff were friendly, assisted me quickly and price was definitely reasonable. No one tried to upsell me, or take advantage of my need for prompt service with limited techy knowledge. I also browsed around at their retail items, fair price on cords, covers, etc. but if I were considering buying a used computer I would definitely go there, prices seemed very competitive. In Shoprite plaza so plenty of parking. Two thumbs up from me!

I took my kindle fire to GCS and asked them to fix it, It would not charge, the charging port was bad. They told me it would be $69 and that I wouldn't get it back until saturday ( dropped it on Monday) when I went to pick it up they told me it was repaired and that the charger I was presently using was bad. Ok. ( I use this charger all the time) I took the kindle home, it was half charged, i played with it to get the battery low, plugged it in and low and behold, it wont charge!!! I plugged it into my computer and it wouldn't go into charge, I plugged it into the wall charger, it wouldn't go into charge. The charger I was trying to use , one was brand new and worked(I tried in on my phone) the other was the one they told me was bad, tried this on my phone also, it was good. I returned to GCS and they told me it would be an additional $20 because it needed a new charging port. Well I asked for a credit and took the kindle home. Look, a brand new one costs $159, why would I pay $90. These guys have no idea what they are doing, They told me it was repaired, then when it wasn't repaired told me it needed a new port. Why would you tell me it was fixed if it wasn't. What a ripoff shop this!!!!

This is my friends dad and he’s owned this business for a long time. Giuliano has fixed my phone and my sisters phone in one day, in rapid time. My phone was completely destroyed and useless, ready to throw out until I had brought it to GCS computer in derby, CT. Within 2 hours it was completely restored to brand new and saved me $300 from buying a replacement iPhone from the apple store. Save your money and come visit GCS on New Haven ave in Derby and he will work with you, I am so happy I made the right choice!

They fixed the power issue but not the screen. When I asked about it, it turned into an argument. They refused to give back my ipod and threatened to reverse the power issue they just fixed. I left to calm down and when I returned an hour later, the ipod was in pieces. I don't know what kind of business they are running but I'll never go back.

I took my phone in for a screen replacement. was done in a couple days. Although they did say they called and left a message when I could pick it up, I received no such message. They also were not clear with the cost up front. I assumed the $69 I paid up front was the total cost of parts and labor but I later found out that was just parts and had a $20 labor fee due at pickup. Would have like more clarification on pricing and more attention to communication. Also $69 seems a little high for a replacement screen. I would have gladly waited an extra week if they could knock off the cost of expediated shipping on ordering the part.

Brought my laptop in because it was running slow. They ended up destroying my motherboard wanted $700 to replace it. They didnt even fully refund me either, only refunded the cost for the new hard drive which I 'needed'. Paid $90 for them to ruin my laptop.

I came here to get diagnostics on my laptop because it would not cut on. I bring my laptop to this place they find out what’s wrong with it that took about two days. The motherboard needed to be replaced they claimed it cost $149.99. They claim $188.00 total would be the total cost to fix my laptop they went well over $200.00 with the total. They took about a month to actually let me know when it was done. There was a delay since they claim the first part they ordered was defective and needed to be replaced. I’m giving one start because they aren’t up front with their hidden fees and they have poor communication. I would personally go elsewhere if you don’t want to end up paying more than expected and waiting forever. They also failed to provide me a receipt of the charges I paid.

Subpar dealer. Not only didn't they repair my iPhone, they broke other features. Had the nerve to say the issue was already existing; as if I didn't know my own phone. They are incompetent, rude and liars. Spend the extra money at an approved apple vendor.
