It is impossible to contact a living person to schedule an appointment. After trying 3 times I quit as I have other things I want to do besides sitting on a phone.

This is a busy Apple store, but everyone is friendly and willing to help out however they can. Unless you're just looking around or specifically know what you want, it's best to see one of the greeters because they'll point you in the right direction of who you need to see. Even though a worker may be standing by the iPhones, that may not be what they work with and won't be able to help you. I like that if everyone is busy, they'll take your number and text you when it's your turn.

Terrible customer care experience - it's a shame that you are obligated to give at least 1 star. Bunch of busy appearing staff who seem to accomplish nothing! Many levels of incompetencies are obvious amongst the staff. While some do not bother to look up your appointment and simply ask you to sit, others cannot replace your battery on time since you of course spent your appointment time simply waiting. The store does not even have a decent network to activate a phone. At the end, the staff fail to do much except say "Sorry, we screwed up"; who knows if they even mean it?

I am absolutely disgusted in the lack of customer service in this establishment.There is no organization in this store as well as no management. It's almost as if they hire new employees and give them the store by the reigns. I have always been a loyal apple customer, but after today I refuse to ever have an apple product again. After 3 scheduled appointments I was continually given the run around. This is highly unprofessional and I will be spreading the word about this awful service. E mails will be written and the media will be contacted. It's such a shame that such a good quality company can't hold up it's end to it's customers.The manager of this store needs to replaced or properly trained. Steve Jobs is probably turning in his grave at this very moment.

At least 30 employees in red shirts and not one willing to make eye contact or assist us. I do value good service and quite honestly have low tolerance for poor service, but this was exceptionally bad. Luckily I walked to the other side of the mall and had excellent service with my iPhone hardware issue from Verizon. Acorn d this Westfarms Mall Apple Store location if at all possible.

Came in, had to make an appt. was told to come in a 3:40pm after waiting 30 minutes. I got there promptly after receiving the text (on the phone that was having issues working to behin w) at 3:42pm & was told I lost my spot & will need to wait EXTRA time... Lady was rude & very unhelpful & unapologetic. I had a place to be, I walked out & will not be coming back! It was a mess! Horrible customer service.

This store and its staff, with my MacBookPro figuratively saved my life! My hard drive crashed while on vacation, got a new drive, could not restore it from my cloud back up. I had to wait three weeks to return to get to my TimeMachine back up. Mike and Steph walked me through the restoration with great kindness and understanding of my frazzled mind. Their technical knowledge and compassion were simply outstanding! All around me I saw people being served in a friendly, competent manner. Kudos to this store and its wonderful staff!!

I had went to the Apple store to simply get a quote on my computer. They had told me the time wait would be 3 hours. I was completely okay with waiting my turn. I walked around and came back confused 3 hours later wondering why I wasn’t paged for my appointment. They claimed that because it got busier, they were going to push me back another 2 hours. It was a huge inconvenience to my day. Not to mention I was unhappy I had to wait all of that time only to be pushed back more (even though I scheduled an appointment). In addition, they never informed me of this change.

Went in with a problem with my laptop. I had run a hardware diagnostic prior to coming in and knew there was a problem with the temperature sensors inside my computer. I described my problem to the technician, who agreed there was something wrong. Without looking at my computer, he told me they were going to replace my hard drive. I politely declined, as I knew this would not fix my problem. Fast forward a month, I brought the computer in again for the same problem and they told me my sensors were busted(duh!). I left the computer for repair for the week, got it back and within 5 minutes of having the computer in my hands, another hardware problem comes up! Do they even check these things after they replace them? Terrible service, arrogant techs. Would not go here if I had any other choice.

Terrible you make a appointment sit in line for ten minutes while they tell People that don’t have one we have to set you one then you get to the front and they tell you after ten minutes they take you out so you have wait 45 mins for a new appointment bad customer service I would say Had to come back after talking to manager & the results were great so after all customer service turned into a great experience

It seems unfair to give a single star when I never went to the store for support. But I tried my best to get there. I went to the store's site looking for appointments tomorrow (a routine non-holiday Friday), and there was nothing. Or for the next day. There was a single slot on offer, for this afternoon, but I can't make it. So I wound up on Chat support, which was excrutiating. It took forever to communicate my problems. (I had 4 issues with 3 Apple devices.) Eventually we resolved the first, then the Chat session vaporized. Called the store again, repeatedly asked to speak to a human being, repeatedly shunted to call center. The tech there was helpful, did some screen sharing, and we resolved an additional problem. He couldn't figure out the 3rd one, and I passed on discussing the Watch issue. This all would have been MUCH faster if a 'Genius' could have just looked at my devices in person. And I might have bought a new iPAD for my wife while there. I simply don't understand why Apple is putting up such barriers to customers who want to get their problems fixed in the most efficient way.

The first thing I want to say is I will always be a loyal Apple customer. I bought my wife the Phone X for Christmas and was so happy when I got the news that it had arrived at the store. That same day I had worked a double shift so I was so tired, yet I couldn't wait to pick up her phone and wrap it. After picking up the phone and got it wrapped I walked to my car and some how put the phone on top of my car and drove off, as soon as I got on the highway I realized the phone was not in the car so I turned back. I started panicking because I didn't have another $1000 to buy another for my wife and losing that much money was unacceptable. I searched for the phone, only to find it crushed in the parking by another car. I picked up the phone and brought it to Apple and told them what happened. I knew it was my fault and I didn't not get Apple care because I didn't have an extra $200 so I didn't expect them to do anything for me but it was worth a shot. At first the manager Keith Bopp said there's nothing he can do for me and I literally wanted to cry lol how stupid of me to not be careful with something so expensive. I said thank you to Keith and turned to walk away then he said "hold on" he took a closer look at the broken phone then said "Jay I'm going to give you a brand new phone for free" I thought maybe he was messing with me or maybe he want to charge me again. Those thoughts followed by many more while I wait then I met with a young lady name Cassie Carollo who I supposed is a tech and she reassured me that it's completely free. I hope Apple HQ see this message because I want them to know how they saved me from giving my wife a terrible news and for that I will always be a loyal customer of Apple. Thanks to a great team at the Westfarm location and thanks the Keith and Cassie. I LOVE APPLE

HORRIBLE SERVICE...OR LACK THEROF...AT THIS STORE AND NO SUPPORT FROM APPLE I scheduled an appointment at the West Farms CT store for Sunday August 31 at 11:40 am. I arrived at the store at 11:30 and waited in line to “check in” with a person at the front door. He instructed me to wait in a different line to check in with another person. Both lines were long. By the time I actually made it to the front of the line it was 11:58, and the apple “genius” informed me I was late for my appointment and they would not see me. He acquiesced but I had to argue with him and point out the 2 very long lines in which I had stood before I could check in. I then spent 4 hours at the store with "genious" who could not figure out what is wrong with my phone. He erased it and promised they would call to restore it the next day. Since that time, I have spent hours on the phone for the past 2 days, but no one can give me any ideas when they might be able to figure out the problem. I am still without a phone. Bigger problem...I have called the West Farms store directly numerous times to try to resolve this, and have not once reached the store. The calls have been answered by someone in San Diego, then Georgia, and a 3rd place I can't even remember.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life here. I ended up going in with 2 issues with my MBP.. first one was that my mac would turn on whenever it felt like it, and wouldn't turn on whenever it felt like it. A pretty big deal when you are just about to spin a gig, and you rely on your hardware. And secondly was that the apple logo was showing through the LCD screen, causing a white smear behind the glass that was very apparent whenever a dark color washed over the area. First time i brought it in, I made an appointment and showed up SPOT on for timing. Checked in.. waited 20 minutes.. (mind you there are no chairs to sit, so this twenty minutes is engineered to get you to look around at their products) -- and finally saw a "Genius," along with ONE OTHER PERSON. He barely akgnowledged me, and only made contact with me or the other person when he had a question such as "Did you beat it up, is there any way I can prevent this from being fixed under warrenty, are you stupid?" (i'm being facetious) I ended up leaving the place not knowing what was wrong with my computer, but with a slip telling me what they were replacing. I got a call 2 days later saying my parts were in, made another appointment, showed up ten minutes late this time. I WAITED ANOTHER 20 MINUTES before seeing a "Genius" to drop my computer off. Sat there, no conversation as the guy plugged away at his computer. All he told me was "You're ready to go!" and then told me it would be 3-5 days to get it repaired, and they would contact me the same way they contacted me before via email and phone call. -- FAST FORWARD 5 DAYS -- I ended up calling, and they told me that the computer was ready to be picked up 4 days ago, and they apologized for not contacting me about it. I go in, wait a half hour, leave with my computer. Everything is fixed, everything is OK. I get home, check my email, and low and behold AFTER i left the Apple store, i got an email telling me that it was ready to be picked up. All in all, this place can suck pond water and I will do everything in my power to never go to this NUTHOUSE ever again.

Horrible. They run a million pointless tests tostall for their lame excuse of why they cant help you with your phone that doesnt work. Came in because of terrible battery life and they basically said my battery was bad but not bad enough for me to even purchase a batttery from them. Went to Verizon told them about my problem and they swaped My phone for a refurbished one because they actially care abot my business. Might lose an Apple customer because of this.

My Macbook Pro was having problems (long boot up, random spinning beach balls for no reason) so I looked into bringing it to the nearest Apple Store (in this case, West Farms Mall). After reading the reviews, I was a little hesitant to bring my computer there, but can honestly say that I had nothing but a good experience at the West Farms Store. The first day I brought my computer in, Apple tech Austin ran a diagnostic that found the hard drive had bad sectors and was failing. He recommended that I buy (at Best Buy or Amazon) a solid state drive to replace it, and even printed out instructions for me to swap out the drive myself. He said I could bring it back and they'd install the system software for free. A week later, I swapped out the drive and made an appointment to bring it in. Another Apple tech, Walter, installed the system software and helped me restore my files from my Time Machine back up, which took about two hours. During that time, I watched and listened to several other techs helping other customers and everyone was kind and patient. While I was waiting, I remembered that the Siri wasn't working on my iPhone 6 and asked another tech, Kelsey, about it. She ran a diagnostic on my phone and found that the Siri speaker wasn't working, which they fixed for free (it was still under warranty). By the time my computer was restored, I had the phone back, and everything is working great. Nice job by everyone there. Thanks!

When we arrive inside the shop, we went directly to the Imac section, so the employees from the shop missed us, we were patiently waiting for somebody to arrive and to get their attention, but nothing. The African american employee saw me - but disregarded me. Until I said: ok I will go and ask for assistance to whoever I see that's free. And so I followed an Old woman (employee, yes) and said: Excuse me? Can you help me pls. The she gave me a look like: what? why are your bothering me now-look. Then she said, ARE YOU GOING TO BUY SOMETHING? and so I said, yes the iMac. So she said ok we go. DO I REALLY NEED TO BUY FIRST BEFORE SHE WILL ENTERTAIN ME? And so we moved, I ask for a certain software if by using iMac will be enough to operate my desired software. So she said (with brows raising) huh! If you can't see it in the App section, then you can't use it! You know, if you want to be as arrogant to be employed in Apple - you should have the KNOWLEDGE at least. When we went asking for a deeper issues, she asked for (obviously) a help. And so the guy was very way more professional and knows how the product that they are selling. In the end the old lady said - so what are you? (profession) YEAH! I don't understand how did this old lady managed to penetrate this job and how she passed the customer service.

I went there to get my iPad fixed and I was helped by V and Kaiser and they were both the nicest, most professional and fun people I’ve ever met. Extremely disappointed in their service and frankly very rude and arrogant service. The people there wouldn’t even look me on the eye and respond. It was infuriating and this was after I had placed an order and gone there just to pick it up. One guy was in such a hurry to get away from us, he wouldn’t even listen to our questions. It makes you wonder what gives these guys such power to show us they are superior. You are providing a service and we are asking for your help. It’s simple, just put in the time and you don’t have to make it a worthwhile experience for us, just don’t make it so infuriating that one has to go online to vent it out through his review which is what I am currently doing.

We bought our first Apple product recently and, on our three visits, everyone who helped us was friendly and knowledgable; the service was timely even though it was very busy. 29$ Bait & Switch Battery Replacement Recently I experienced significate lag with the response time of my iPhone 6 Plus. Shortly thereafter I was plagued with random power off episodes after 30 minutes of use. My phone would display it was completely drained but when connected to a charging cable it would turn on with over 50% battery life. Needless to say it all happened right before I heard Apple report they were “graciously” doing $29 battery replacements for iPhone 6 or newer. I made my appointment with Apple at the West Farms Mall, West Hartford, CT on 1/8/2018 @ 1 PM. When my Tech arrived they diagnosed the phone and found that the front camera didn’t work and the battery had less than 80% life with over 500 charges. It appears I was “approved” for their charitable $29 battery replacement. They proceeded to open my LifeProof case and remove the SIM card. It was beneath the SIM they discovered it was subjected to water. They opened to phone completely to verify their findings. At that point I was told they could not replace the battery in my functioning phone. They could however sell me a replacement or upgrade me to a new one. So now $29 turns into $329 (or much more). Apple was not “GIVING” me a battery. I was going to pay them for it. Why does it matter if my phone was subjected to water or not? If it was shattered and crushed and I wanted the battery replaced so what! Even at $29 I’m sure their still making money hand over fist with their Chinese manufactured battery. Sure seems like phase 2 of their scams to get current users to upgrade their functional phone.

Was at this store this afternoon, had originally brought my device to the Evergreen Walk location two weeks ago (now that store blows, as they shrug me off-only for my issue to reoccur, ultimately killing my device) brought it to West Fms , from the moment you arrive everything is organized, staff looks like they want to be there (unlike the Evergreen Walk store, those folks look like zombies from TWD) the associate was very friendly, took the matter and was committed to providing me with a positive resolution. I will recommend to folks that use Sprint make sure you keep the old sim card, because getting a new sim card is extremely painful as it has to be a specific nano sim thats been approved for use on your device.

Lying thieves. Went there to get my son's iPad glass fixed and they said it couldn't be fixed. They told me I needed a new iPad, of course for $289. Went downstairs to 'The Fix' and they repaired it in one hour for $126. Don't go to the Apple Store go to 'The Fix'

This store is unprofessional, staff leaves you sitting around like you don’t exist. went to get phone repair and was told to sit in a location and after sitting there for almost 35 minutes I had to go ask if I will be serviced, then when someone finally came and took the phone to be repaired, was told to come back at a certain time, when got back the rep acted like I was begging for my phone and then had the nerve to tell me after being there for 15 min that I had to go check in to get my phone.. not good

Had an appointment, was seen right away & problem was fixed within a week. Since I was carrying a heavy iMac, I'd suggest using the main mall entrance between Nordstrom & JC Penney which brings you in on the second floor. EDIT: Had to return because my iMac had same problem, bought it originally from another company, that company has basically ignored any requests for help. Apple & Apple Tech Kevin went above & beyond excellent service & replaced the computer with a brand new, current model. Very pleased with all dealings I've had at this store.

Crowded, hard to hear what people are saying, I went early in the morning hoping to beat the crowd to have my wife's tablet looked at but it was still packed, I had to provide contact information so they could inform me when I would be able to speak to someone (about a 20 minute wait) the "genius" that looked at my wife's tablet found nothing wrong and gave me the generic response or "try reseting it" which of course had no effect on the charging issue it is experiencing.

I went in to buy an IPAD but left when I was frustrated seeing an excessive amount of Apple Employees standing around while a handful of customers had to wait before they were helped. The number of employees out numbered the customers yet the customers had to wait for service. I think Apple has the wrong priority...Customer should be the first priority. So the Apple store lost a $1500 sale. They did not act like they cared as they wished me a nice day instead of encouraging a sales associate to stop standing around and to help the paying customers. I don't normally write bad reviews but I think this store should get the message that Customers that are willing to spend money should be the main Priority.

My limited experience at this Apple store consisted of replacing the battery on my wife's iPhone. We made the appointment, delivered the phone, came back an hour later, and everything was good. No issues and pleasant people. Westfarms is a good and easy place to spend time. The apple store is typically beautiful but you must resist the temptations.

I did not know customers were cleared from the genius queue after 10 minutes. I was turned away from the store while many “geniuses” were walking around doing nothing. I have three iPhones on my account. In a couple months, there will be zero iPhones on my account – going with Samsung – screw Apple and their problematic, only a genius can open it to replace a battery, no memory expansion slot crap phones.

My iPhone 6 decided it no longer wanted to play, (the screen spontaneously went black) and since my cellular service provider has gone to what amounts to a lease-turn in program on phones, I decided to come to the Apple Store to buy my next phone outright. My impression of Apple Stores was that you might wait quite a while because they're so busy. As it turned out, upon entering, a gentleman approached and asked if he could help. I explained my situation, and he took my name on a tablet and said someone would be out very shortly to assist me. A minute or two later, a young woman named Nicole came up and introduced herself. I explained what I wanted in an iPhone, and no sooner had I finished, than another associate came out with it. Nicole spent about 20 minutes helping me set up my new phone, and off I went, delighted with my new 256 GIG iPhone 7, and with the quick, friendly, and very knowledgeable service I received.

Had a cracked screen, made an appointment 2 Days before to repair cracked screen. When arrived, I was told they they couldn’t fix the phone that day, and have to come next day. What’s the point of making an appointment when they know I am coming in for a cracked screen make sure you honor my time. I was told that they already have too many phones and don’t have time to fix my phone. Totally unacceptable.

I have always had good experiences but that all changed last night. I had an appointment at the Genius Bar due to battery life and signal issues where people on my plan with the same phone didn’t experience issues. The store went out of their way to do absolutely nothing to assist me. They then acted like it was generous to replace my battery for me under warranty - on my 8 month old phone that I paid 1,149.99 for. It gets better. They then accused me of my phone being water damaged (iPhone XS is water resistant) and I can honestly say I have never used the phone in or near water. They reassembled my phone and installed rusty screws and showed me a picture of the interior of my phone... there was absolutely no corrosion around the screws or even any staining. The phone is in perfect condition. They notated my case in a way that made me out to be the bad guy, so when I called Apple support they said due the store’s notes there’s nothing they can do. Mike, the manager of the store advised me this is how it is and that’s it. I honestly felt some homophobia (I mentioned my partner when discussing the signal issues). While the other employees were nice, I will avoid this location and go out of my way to visit other stores.

First let me start by telling that I am a loyal Apple customer. Now having said that, this store lacks the quality that apple is so famous for. The customer service is not at all upto the mark. There are times when they were good and there were times when no one was willing to even ask what am in for!! They are eager when they feel that a customer is there to buy something but if you are there for the genius bar even with an appointment you are going to wait there for a very long time. Also there is no concept of queue.

Probably the worst shopping experience I've ever had. Nobody in the store knows the policy's. And even worse they don't know the products very well either. When we where setting up the new iPhone XR their favorite answer to any issues we had was I don't know or I'm not sure. If you look up the fine print of the deals there offering they'll tell you the fine print wrong and if you call the main apple people and verify policy. Again the west hartford see will tell you the national people don't know what they are doing. So I recommend buying a one plus instead.

Wasted Trip When I called for an appt to replace my MacBookAir's battery, Apple told me what I should do to prepare for the appt. Unfortunately Apple did not prepare, so I'm going w/o while Apple ships a battery. Pretty poor customer service when you can't ship a needed repair part before the repair appt.

I have been in this store on more than one occasion and am only writing this review because all of my experiences have been poor. I have only gone to the store for product related issues, not the purchase of a device, so that is where my review will be focused. There is a common theme with my visits and this theme is that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. I’m convinced that when you go in for an issue with your device, they will tell you what you want to hear, not what is going to actually happen. One occasion my son’s phone just stopped having cellular capability. Talked with verizon, then apple on the phone, then I was told I had to go to the apple store. When I did, I was told there was a common issue with this model and they would be replacing the phone with a NEW phone. This was repeated multiple times. I was also told that it would take a few days to get the new phone in and they would be sending my son’s phone back. They did not have a replacement phone for my son to use in the meantime, they ran out. So needless to say, we waited.. and waited..... a few days, turned into a week, which turned into two weeks. When the phone was finally in, I went to pick it up only to find that it was my son’s phone refurbished. NOT a new phone like I was promised. Nobody in the store really cared. I asked to speak with a manager as I was told I would be receiving a new phone and he was no help. More recently, I went in to replace the battery on my phone. I made an appointment as I know they are always very busy. I was shopping at the mall any way and decided to pop in to see if they could take me a few minutes sooner, which they could not. No biggie. At that time I specifically asked if they had the replacement battery in stock and if they would be able to change it in the store, so as not to waste my appointment. I was told yes. Went back at my appointment time. Spoke with 2 different people before a third finally came to look at my phone about a half hour after my appointment time. He confirmed it needed a battery....BUT you guessed it.....they didn’t have it in stock. I specifically asked that prior to my appointment. Such a waste of my time. I was so frustrated. And again. No one had any answers as to why they told me it was in stock. I even pointed out the person who told me it was in stock. Nothing. Needless to say, I went to Staples, replaced the battery in 5 minutes...done. I will never go to the apple store again.

Staff is doing their best here most of the time. Apple's policies suck. Took almost a month to get a defective display replaced on a 27" iMac I'd owned for like, 3 days. It should have been an exchange at that point, not a repair. Complete BS, but not the fault of the in store employees.

I can't stand this store. They made me come all the way down (one hour ride to and one hour ride from) said there was not anything wrong with my iPhone. Although it still doesn't work they give you excuse after excuse telling me to wipe the phone and restart and Verizon insists there is something wrong with the phone but can only offer a remanufactured phone when I bought and paid for a new phone and now I have to waste another 2 hours of my time to go to the Apple Store and get it replaced. Very UNHAPPY!

This was a great store. Someone made the brilliant decision to close it for 3 weeks, then reopen it 1/6 the size it was and spend another 3 months renovating the other 5/6 of it. The day they reopened, repair times shot from 1 hour to 3 days. The manager insists the store is "operating normally". Apple corporate sent me to a reseller downstate instead of here for a repair. First time I've seen (many) people walk into an Apple store, look, turn around and walk right back out. If you are a Genius Bar customer, be prepared to stand out in the mall with your hardware. Today? A sea of blue shirts - which if you can see them all, means there are not really any customers in the store. Unless this store is getting an antigravity machine or nuclear power, there's really no reason for this. It was a glass and white and wood Apple Store. Like all the others.

My iPhone 6 Plus back camera was not working . It was still under warranty but they want $399 to fix it . It's ridiculous and I left the store that day without fixing . I went back next week and they said they will send the phone to Apple warehouse to fix it so I left the phone . I haven't heard anything in a week and I am still waiting for their response. Brought my Macbook in because it was running slo - i knew i was in trouble when manager came out - they dropped it - broke the screen - she said the hard drive had a "flaw" - they replaced it - i lost everything on my computer. Brought it in today because fan runs constantly - to hot for lap - waited two days for a genius - got it home and nothing changed. Service sucks for a horribly overpriced computer - BYE Apple!
