New Haven Apple store has got to be the worst one I have ever been to. Had an appointment with genius bar and waited a little over an hour. I shopped while waiting not a problem. They send me a text that its nearly my turn. I go back to the sign in man and he tells me it will be about 10 more minutes and to go sit (and points to a chair) at the genius bar. There was a girl behind the counter and omg she was so rude! She practically yells at me saying "You can't sit there someone else is sitting there". I hadn't even sat yet. Just the tone of her voice was horrible and made my eyes fill with tears. Why couldn't she say something nice like ma'am I'm helping someone in this spot. Needless to say I went back to the sign in man in tears cancelled my appointment told him what happened and left. I wouldn't even put one star but it makes you before you can post a review.

I would like to say that Ilene and the staff at the New Haven Apple store are second to none! I brought in my MacBook Pro in to get the screen replaced and thought it take about 10 business days. I was pleasantly surprised when they told me 2-3 days! To my amazement about an hour later I got an email saying that it was all done and I could come pick it up! I just so happen to be still running errands in New Haven and picked it up! Thank you to Ilene and the incredible staff for always being courteous, knowledgeable and efficient! They all deserve a big raise!

If I could give a negative star I would but they only gave the option of one as the lowest. I have been the New Haven Apple Store several times over the past few months and have gotten NONE my issue resolved with the IPHONE XMAX. I purchased a Brand New Phone and it has been turning off on its own, dropping my calls, the screen works when it wants to etc. My latest issue is the “Water Resistant” lie. The phone isn’t. DON’T purchase any Apple Products switch to SAMSUNG/ANDROID.

I went to replace my 6S battery. They replaced it but damaged my display which I replaced at a local store. When I asked about the damage, one of the managers showed me the clause that I signed which no one reads. It gives their technicians exclusive right to damage a part which is not there’s. And they don’t even apologize for that damage.

When I have visited the store, staff have been very helpful. It is, however, more than frustrating to try to make an appointment. The website continually redirects to automated support even though it says an appointment can be made online. Trying by calling the store is equally as frustrating, requiring several calls and pushing different choices to try to get a person when the automated system redirects to making an appointment online or using the automated support. After going around and around online and by phone for almost 20 minutes, I finally got a very nice person when I asked for sales information. After explaining the situation, she offered to connect me to a person who should be able to make an appointment, which I now finally have after another almost 15 minutes. This is not helpful customer service and may be part of the reason if we don't continue to choose iPhones when these are finally paid off.

It’s a typical apple store. Can get very crowded sometimes with lots of people visiting. Genius Bar gets super busy with lots of people sometimes with high wait times, so try and schedule an appointment if possible

This Apple Store is a beauty. The staffers are very good at their job. After guiding me through several comparisons of the iPhones I was able to make better decision on the iPhone I wanted to purchase. I was also immediately registered in a Apple Music Session; I learnt a lot on how the Apple GarageBand App works. I even had to do a duet with Anita with song titled “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley. There’s also a wheelchair accessible entrance for the differently enabled.

It is terribly slow. I came in to have my iPhone screen fixed, and they said I had to set an appointment for an hour later. So I said okay, and went out for some errands I needed to do for my job. Exactly an hour later, they tell me I missed my appointment and had to wait another 45 minutes. With so many employees, you’d think you’d be assisted at a reasonable time.

The customer service representative was polite.but that doesn’t really help because I waited one hour and a half On a Friday night, and I specifically asked for my problem to be solved because I was going on a trip. Apple rep asked me for proof of purchase from Sprint and I got what they wanted me to get which was an email verifying from my carrier that I bought the phone the email was sent but it didn’t show the date the phone was purchased so they didn’t unlock my phone for that reason and they didn’t fix my problem. Really poor service they won’t go the extra mile unless it is a sale.

I made several rounds around the store, looking at the pads and trying to catch the eye of one of the dozen employees who were standing around not helping any of the dozen customers in the store. Nobody said a word to me, no greeting or offer of assistance, so I left.

A place that doesn't value customer's time. Took appointment for 3:10 pm for iphone 6 glass replacement. Was given time line that it would be ready by 4:15 pm at most. They never got back to me until 4:45 pm. Too much sophistication yielding to poor customer's experience. Total crap.

This store is very racist. The employees and sadly the managers make racial remarks to customers and workers. If you are of color or any race other than white I recommend you go to a different apple store. I would NEVER go here again. If I could give it zero stars I would.

This is simply unbelievable. I bought an iPhone here and didn't check the phone in the box before I leave. I got home, realized that the phone doesn't turn on. So I returned to the store promptly asking for help. At the time it's just an hour after my purchase. Shockingly they told me the phone I returned to them is tampered. The manager literally told me they will not help me and she is not going to argue with me, ruling out any chance of conversation with them. She even said this happens all the time(what does that suppose to mean???). It felt like I was totally insulted and betrayed. I had to make numerous calls with Apple support and go to an Apple store in NYC to solve my case. The staff here is unhelpful, unprofessional and untrustworthy, and even potentially racist(the manager told me to wait yet greeted a white lady even though she came in the store after me). I would warn anyone planning to buy any stuff here: be cautious if the device they give you is REAL Apple device(especially if you are a tourist or POC, or simply don't look like native people, which is the case for us)!

I've never taken the time to write a review on Google/YELP/Trip Advisor/etc, but today I received such great customer service at the New Haven Apple Store. My MacBook Pro would no longer turn on but Johanna and another gentleman (can't remember his name) helped me back up the data on my Mac, and resolve the issue on my Mac at no cost. These guys are great, highly recommend.

My IPhone X has had the touch display bug. After hours of speaking with reps to figure out that they have a program to fix this bug for free, I opted to take it into the store to get the phone screen replaced. If you are given the option to send it to a warehouse or bring it into this store, SEND IT TO THE WAREHOUSE!! I am trying to save someone else from experiencing what I just went through at this Apple Store. They stripped a screw on my phone trying to take it out and claimed a 3rd party tampered with it. If you DO bring it in for repairs here; take several pictures of your phone beforehand!

They only have 2 techs in the Genius bar that can address computer issues ... which is a bit surprising given the high volume of MacBooks and iMacs Apple sells, specially this time of the year. This was my first time in an Apple store. I came in with an iPod classic (in 2019) to see if they could do anything to get out to sync. I expected them to send me away saying Apple doesn't make them anymore so there was nothing they could do. They didn't do that. What they did do was help me to the best of their ability, while letting me know that they weren't able to do repairs or order new parts. They cleaned out the charger port very well, and I'm hopeful that it works. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional! I can't recommend this place enough!

I wish I could rate Apple a 0 stars. Once you need help, they are absolutely horrible. I called Apple Care, they told me they could not help me. I went to the Apple Store, and they advised me that Apple Care could help me, just to call. Called with a different issue today. Website says they are open. Called to confirm. The recording says they are closed. Spoke with someone at Apple, they said we would have to talk to a technician, confirmed the store was open, and transferred me to the same recording that says they were closed. Went into the store. After waiting 45 minutes, they told me I would need to return with the battery for my iPhone, and they could not just sale me the replacement battery. I had to pay $29 for the battery and charge for them to replace it. I made an appointment to return later today with the battery. I went home, picked up the battery, and came back to the store. Only to be told that they could not replace the battery, if I had already removed it, which they knew had occurred, since I showed up the first time with the iPhone without the battery. Such disrespect of my time and expense it cost me to travel back and forth to the store. And all of this to fix a problem, Apple caused!

I have been to exactly 3 Apple stores in my life. I live in New Haven where the Apple store is very busy what with all the Yale people browsing and shopping. The sales people seem to have an attitude that you are privileged to have them spend their time with you rather than the other way around. The Apple Store in Clayton, Missouri, on the other hand, is a delight by comparison with personable and knowledgeable staff. What is prompting this review is the following: I am a slowish typist and I have been using Dragon on my PC for years. I recently bought a MacBook Air and Dragon for Mac and went to the New Haven Apple store to look for a high quality wireless dictation headset. There were exactly zero dictation headsets in the store and none of the three sales staff I spoke with had any knowledge of this topic. Two of them recommended that I go to Staples. It seems to me that a lot of people prefer to dictate rather than type their documents and that Apple should cater to them. It's not just a matter of convenience, it's a matter of productivity. I can dictate a much better medical note (I'm a physician) than a typed one. Is anybody listening?

I was greeted by a very friendly rep, Walter, who asked another rep to give me an appointment. He put me in and I was directed to sit at the Genius Bar. Then I waited, and waited and waited. I finally flagged someone down who said I was just assigned a tech and pointed to a girl. When I asked her she said no she wasn't. In fact no one was, my name was just there. I watched 2 other people sit and be served before me. Miss Keekee took me anyway and was extremely accommodating. Overall, my first experience is lousy. I'll post again when my situation with the phone is rectified.

I went into the apple store in NH today to exchange my faulty iPhone charger. My appointment was at 4:50 and I didn’t leave until 7:06pm. My charger wasn’t working right, and as I was getting it exchanged I mentioned to the rep I was working with SAM that sometimes people can’t hear me while I’m on the phone. He ran diganosgics and found something was wrong with the speaker of my phone. I told Sam I did not want to exchange my phone because I did not have a back up. Sam informed me that since it simply a screen adjustment that my data would not be erased. Sam told me to come back for my iPhone at 6:15. I came back at 6:30 to check in. A different rep told me my iPhone was not ready. It would take 10 mins. At 6:55 I started to get irritated because at this point it was going on an hour after they told me my phone would be ready. Finally anew rep brought my iPhone up and told me unfortunately my iPhone had been wiped clean!!! I asked to speak with a manager because I was so upset. Not only had I waited forever when I came in for simply a charger replacement, but I also left with a blank phone! All of my contacts, photos, notes, EVERYTHING gone. I will never go back to that apple store again. I will go to the Trumbull Apple store in the future if I need.

I am certainly a fan of apple products and I have been in Apple stores several times before, but this one is a disappointment, to the point where I dread coming here but it’s the only one nearby. With the exception of a few kind and helpful employees, the atmosphere is rude and brash. Maybe its a different story if youre buying a product, but the last few times Ive come for repairs and they treat you like youre a nuissance and not welcome. When it comes to timing, I scheduled my appointment the day before and they had us wait for 2.5 hours for a battery change on one visit and 2 hours for screen change. On both visits, the store had open tables at the Genius Bar but they crammed 7 customers onto one table, not so comfortable for the long wait. Overall, very unfriendly place but of course the repairs were done to expectation and the product speaks for itself. Try another Apple store location if you can.

First, went online and scheduled an appointment to have my iPhone SE battery replaced. The closest store was a Best Buy so that’s where I chose to go. When I arrived for mg appointment the tech informed me that Best Buy didn’t replace SE battery even though I had scheduled it through the Apple store online. Next, I scheduled an appointment at the Apple Store in New Haven. When I arrived for my appointment the “genius” informed me that it would take 3 hours to get my replacement battery. In both cases I had driven over 30 minutes to each location. It would have been nice if someone gad updated the web site to let their Apple customers know that Best Buy didn’t have the SE batteries. Moreover, it would have been even nicer if the Apple store site would give an estimate of the repair time. Why even bother to have an appointment if you have to wait 3 hours. Needless to say I wasted 2 afternoons and still don’t have a replacement battery. Very disappointed. I think it’s time to bug an Android phone.

I purchased a Mac Book Pro about 6 months ago. I do all my business with my MacBook but the Laptop kept shutting off on me randomly. So they restarted the whole pc and it worked for one month. I went back again for the same issue. The person at the second time who helped me was rude and they said i had to wait 3-5 bussiness days to get it repaired. Its a brand new laptop with nothing downloaded on it. It is a manufacture issue. Soo iam with out a pc where i do all my bussiness. The person who helped me wanted me to pay for a business plan if i wanted a loaner. This was ridiculous that i have to pay for a loaner for an apple product i bought 6 months ago. I went with my wife to this apple store to get my new apple leather case under warranty. My leather case was wearing off and peeling from edge. The advisor infront made me an appointment and told me my waiting time will be around 10-15 mins. I keep receiving apple message then and kept me waiting for more than 45 mins. The genius bar guy came to me and said this is something happened with accident. I explained him that the skin of leather is peeing from side to edge and I never had fallen incident as well in this 5 months. A lady whos in different attire confront us that this is fallen one. Now I don't understand that this could be inspected way before but they kept us waiting for 45 min and reject us for getting a new case. Very very poor customer services from New haven apple store.

WORST experience ever with ANY apple store!!! Came in the morning during scheduled time to pick up my new iPhone. Put to wait for an hour because of some issues with the order processing for no explanation. I had to leave after that because I had a class. After I came back in the afternoon again, I was told to wait in the line again. After getting in, I figured out that they still have not have my issue fixed and was told that I will be contacted after they solve the problem and my phone will be held until the end of the day. So I left for home and waited again until 20 mins before the store closed in the night and NO ONE CALLED ME. So instead I called the store to ask what was going on and was held for 20 mins. No one picked up the phone eventually. So I went to the store again and was told by some ignorant and careless staff that they do not know what happened to my order and no one will talk to me because the store had closed (even though they are all standing inside!!!). Honestly, how would you talk to your customer with an attitude like that, especially after you made such stupid mistakes???????? If I can give a negative star I will. Poor service!

Dropped in this evening desperately in need of a new iPhone after mine went out of commission. I was on the verge of taking whatever iPhone SE I could get, given that almost all stores are sold out. Logan hooked me up and I left in less than an hour with a new phone in hand ready to go (okay, almost ready, still waiting on my case to get delivered tomorrow). Logan was SUPER helpful and I highly recommend going here and asking for him. He was great! Thanks so much Logan!!

Store was clean as expected and the staff was super helpful. The only reason they didn't get five stars is due to the fact that while they tried to remedy my problem, there was some weird issue with the Apple Update Server on their MacBook and I had to leave with my phone still in DFU Mode.

Thank you so much Apple team in New Haven, CT. The first advisor I spoke with helped me out and had my laptop sent out that day within minutes and the repair was covered! I received my product back after 5 days, fantasist! That was fast. They went above and beyond, replacing missing feet and cleaning my computer! When just the battery was to be replaced. Little things like this make a big difference and impact! I didn’t recognize it at first, it looked like a brand new computer I was very pleased! The only reason this review isn’t “5” stars is because when I went to pick up my laptop today I had been accompanied by a different advisor who seemed off his game. He didn’t make eye contact with me, introduce him self or anything. Very little peoples skills. He cheated with other customers and just handed me the laptop and walked away. I was surprised, I felt rushed to grab it and go. Not a good way to handle your customers especially the ones who want to offer a cash tip wether they are excepted or not. Wish I had my first advisor available, but all in all. I’m am pleased with my repair and will highly recommend Apple to anyone!

Purchased a MacBook for birthday, but before I even got my hands on the new laptop, our Apple geniuses screwed up the system during data transfer and weren’t able to restore it. I decided against buying that MacBook and issued a refund. Sometimes those geniuses don’t know what they’re doing.

Terrible customer support for repairs. I had an in warranty iPhone in repair with them. They replaced it but it was most certainly a refurbished phone or dud, because a few weeks later it stopped receiving signal. By that time their limited repair coverage had elapsed. Another time I had an in warranty MacBook in repair for their Keyboard Replacement Program. But they deliberately make the process as excruciating and slow as possible so that I was forced to take my laptop back for work. Soon its warranty will expire and I’ll have to pay them full price to attempt the replacement again. Apple being Apple it’s very difficult to submit any formal complaints. All roads lead back to dealing with the store staff. I would definitely not recommend this store for any repairs.

Two stars because a few of the employees are nice, but others are very rude and not helpful. This is my third visit because this is the only Apple store in New Haven. Their estimates of how long a repair will take are terrible. In my first visit they said 2 hours and after 3 hours they said I had to come back the next day. My second visit they said 1 hour and it took them 2. Today is my third visit, so I do not know yet if they will be on time, but the first associate I talked to was very unwelcoming. The second one was nice. In general, a number of their associates make you feel like a nuisance, but since no name tags are used I am unable to name them. For the same reason, I am unable to mention the nice ones. I recommend all associates to please treat us customers nicely and be mindful of our time.
