Terrible customer service. I just wanted to drop off my phone to get the screen crack repaired. "Take your time and I'll pick it up when you call me." I said The answer was No. Had to wait 45 minutes just to talk to somebody. Wouldn't let me drop it off. Wouldn't let me talk to anyone. Next available appointment online is 5 days away?? Ridiculous. Oh, and the Kiosk 10 steps away will fix it in 30 minutes while I wait. C'mon Bakersfield Apple. There's gotta be a better way than this.
Service people was nice but store employees were talking for several minutes with other employees before helping you. Also, they are very pushy for getting new devices versus fixing the old device. A $35 dollar fix is not the same as a new $1000 device
Don't bother calling about anything. Waited till 4:20 when it's supposedly not so busy. Phone rang 25 times, no one picked up, then it hung up on me. No help there. FAIL

Typical apple store, very busy and some what loud. The whole time i was at the store all agents where busy, they never asked if i needed help. This make total sense since they are always busy helping other customers.
Waiting time to make an appointment is ridiculous and the HAL computer answering doesn’t direct you to the proper place. Wise up, Apple, you need to make everything user friendly. I’ve spent over twenty minutes on threes attempts to make an appointment and my wasted thirty minutes with no resolution.

I just wasted an hour and a half at the Apple store in Bakersfield. When I first walked in I didn't know where to go so I'm wasting time with that. When someone finally tells me that I need to speak with someone with a blue shirt, I went to them and was told that an appointment wasn't available for 3 weeks but it I could wait about an hour and 15 minutes, they would text me. When I went back an hour and a half later, I was told that it will be another hour and a half. This place is set up to serve children whose time is of no value. I'm very disappointed with the lack of service.
Worst apple store ever!
The guy wants me to wait four hours to get a new iPhone battery because mine won’t hold a charge just like everybody else’s. He says it’s a long wait time because of the battery price reduction. So Apple makes defective software or defective batteries and then makes me wait four hours to get a discount on a new one? Sorry but my time is worth more than that. I’m going back to Samsung and doubling down by shorting apple in my margin account.
1st time here and walked away with 2 apple phones, a tablet and best part of all free headphones beats. They also offer me studend discount for my daughter new tablet. The sales rep helped us on everything we asked for and was very knowledgeable with all the new products. I highly recommend this place to buy all your new apple smart gadgets. All staff members were ready to assist everyone and the atmosphere was vey positive. I like how comfortable they made us feel from the moment we walked in...

i bout a new macbook air. less then 3 months down the road battery no longer worked i could log on and use and view all my photos and apps on the computer but it wouldn't hold a charge so i thought hey they know what to do i could trust apple right well after they ran a diagnoses they told me that it wasn't responding so they needed to reboot the computer i said ok not knowing what that meant all are wedding pictures pictures of are first born baby , apps gone and the list goes on i couldn't believe not only was this a brand new 1400 computer dysfunctional but had to wipe my hard drive without any warning. they replace a logic board and a new battery but hey u call to get a apology from the store manager he denies it and offers to sell me a 100 back up hard drive for my loss. what a dick

My experiences at Apple stores around the world has been outstanding. The Bakersfield CA store missed the mark. On November 16, 2017 the staff members I conversed with were not knowledgeable on current products and seemed untrained. It seemed like the staff wanted to dispose of you vice answering questions and helping a customer find the solution they need .
Takes Forever to get an appointment or a walk in for a repair unless your at the store before it opens but the service when seen is good.

I have had nothing but great experiences at this Apple Store. Yes, it can take a while to be helped at the genius bar but that is the glory of making an appointment. They have taken care of me for an issue with my iPhone and when my hard drive crashed(luckily I had my computer backed up on to a portable hard drive, which I recommend if you don't want to lose all your data). I'm sold on the value that they offer after my experience today, and won't own anything other than apple for my phones, tablets, and computers.

Unbelievably poor customer service. I have never been treated with such arrogance and attitude in my life. Jason, who was "helping" me with a product I had just purchased, was so impatient, so rude, and had such attitude, I had to stop the setup process. I had more things I needed to buy, but I felt so humiliated, I left in tears. I am going to return the product I purchased, and switch to PC. Nothing is worth the terrible treatment I received.

The level of frustration of trying to get a question answered was below a 1 star. However when I got to the store I was met with very enthusiastic and helpful people. The technician that helped me was possibly the nicest and efficient young man. He had the patience of a saint since I am technologically challenged. Very good experience. Only deducted star because of length of time getting an appointment.
RUDE, not supportive..the team leader with the crew cut, kept reminding me that they would be closing in 30 minutes...when ALL I needed was a password re-set....way too complicated for her...wanted to give me an appointment one week away...Their Customer Service is pathetic and they need to be sent back to Human Resources for extensive training plus a write-up!!!! Shame on you Apple for hiring such a creature!

Update: my husband purchased a new battery off Amazon, opened my so called "factory sealed" ipod, and replaced the battery. $20 later, my 2005 ipod works just fine all thanks to my husband and no thanks to apple! DON'T GO TO THIS STORE!!! After a few years, they refuse to even service your devices. Terrible service and each salesperson gives you a different story. Apple sucks!
They are extremely slow at this location for repairs. After fast customer service times in Orlando and Los Angeles area locations with minimal waiting and alot more customers at those locations this location needs to speed things up and quit making customers wait for an hour just to be seen by someone to look at it and say "yes glass is broke we can fix it" when that's why you brought it in the first place.

The staff were very rude and impatient with me and my questions. Came here for a battery exchange for my Iphone 5 as apple had encountered a battery problem with that model. Kept being told by a hundred different people different things between this location and the Headquarters. Finally got it exchanged after so long and it was just too much work for something that Apple messed up on.
I took my broken iPad, we received a replacement and great service from a very knowledgeable and friendly rep. Just make sure you make an app. and get there on time. Thanks !!
It is not a good experience for the disabled. They have the handicap parking blocked off to offer Paid Valet Parking. This causes the disabled to be farther from the door. Other than that the mall is a good place to shop and window shop, especially right now for the Christmas Season.
I was treated very poorly by the manager there. Extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. He was so offensive that I had to wait to cool down before I posted. They refused to replace a broken iPhone cable that was under mfg warranty. When I asked why they wouldn't simply honor their own warranty he said " it's obviously my own fault" and that obviously i broke it and that apple doesn't cover negligence or accident. The conversation went downhill and almost violent as he got very close to my face! It was so offensive and he said countless rude and unprofessional things about people like me, that im the problem etc. I simply said isn't it possible that the cable was defective and Apple should replace it? He was so arrogant and more rude that the soup nazi. This incident was about 8 months ago. I wish I had a copy of the whole ordeal on video to show the aggressive and rudeness of their store manager. Furthermore since this is the attitude of this valley plaza stores management you can expect the whole store to be unprofessional and rude if you should need customer service. Few years ago a issue came up with my MacbookPro and the prior store manager actually made it right and really was amazing. Oh how it's so radical changed for the worst since that store has now a new manager. I haven't purchase not one apple product since that day. I guess look at all the money I've saved!

Staff is helpful but you can get better prices at other locations. If you need any service done on your Apple products or have any questions this would be one of the best places. I can not tell you how many times something was wrong with my laptop or phone and this Apple store came through and fixed any issues I had.

No professional customer service while they were assisting some clients that looked like they shouldn't be there or understand anything on an apple product while I stand after spending $500 on an ipad and no one acknowledges with a product on hand. Every Question or Problem is answerable or fixable by Apple Floor Staff or Brains in the back. You can call Apple to start some solutions. I have MacBook Air old model( new battery & modernized op system). Also iPhone 8 and new iPad. Need lessons after Christmas on working the iPad.
My iPhone needed a new battery and my volume button wouldn’t click. A lady took it to the back and acted like they tried to fix it, but she said my phone was a bit bent so they were not able to do it. They were asking me to give them my phone and pay 330 for another phone. Therefore, I ordered a new battery, and installed it myself with no problem. The volume button wouldn’t work because of a lose screw, not because it was bent. It was an easy fix , but they wanted me to buy a new iPhone.

I finally went up to a girl working there, Blonde hair and short and asked if there was a different apple store I could go to because I have been waiting to be helped and she literally said Fresno and walked away as I was talking. The people at the Apple store are very helpful. Their service is top notch and they seem to genuinely care. I was talking to the service rep about various items and the customer service rep was very well versed in all things not just Apple stuff. If you are in need of a new battery setup an appointment they will take care of you.

I was a bit confused about who worked there and who didn't. But it worked out and they got my stuff to me in a timely manner.
First I tried to make an appointment on line. That didn't work. Then I called the store and that didn't work either. I have an ipad air that won't hold a charge. I got it from Amazon on July 8. So do I have to return it, or just drop in to the Apple store in Bakersfield, and wait until ????

Great service at this store. We are visiting from Canada and really rely on my iphone for MAPS & comms with back home so I was really concerned when My iPhone 6 just stopped responding. Was given an appt time in 3 hours but no problem, it’s in a pretty big, nice mall so time passed quickly. Anthony correctly diagnosed the problem with my phone and within 1 hour I was leaving the store with my phone back up and running and with some new operating tips & info. Great service by a very knowledgeable and friendly technician. I will definitely return and absolutely recommend this store. Thank you Anthony.

I really can't recall a time I've been greeted by so many friendly and helpful people! Everyone was polite and knowledgeable, even when I had to come back and ask another question. The lady at the front door was amazing and I liked the way they quietly contacted each other when they needed to get more information for me. JJ and Jasmine stand out, but honestly everyone was helpful. I admit, after reading the reviews of this location I was scared to come in, but I'm glad I trusted my opinion about how Apple runs their stores and treats their people. Apple Forever xoxox!

Just went in to get my phone reset/unlocked and it’s a 2 and half hour wait .. there are several employees standing around doing nothing but chatting amongst themselves.. waste of time..
I came here to eat with my son, we had a great day. I ate some teriyaki chicken at Japan something. He ate chicken teriyaki, orange chicken, chow mein & rice at Panda Express. The restrooms there are clean and accessible to the public and great seating for all the restaurants that are located there. I even bought some makeup there that I bought off of some guys selling samples of makeup

As a consumer who has practically every Apple product (iMac, multiple iPhones/IPods/IPads, Beats headphones, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Apple Music Streaming, etc), I had high hopes for this store when it opened in Bakersfield five years ago. Even though I use multiple outlets to purchase Apple products (corporate through my work, AT&T Store, Best Buy, Apple online, Amazon, etc), I always wanted to show my gratitude to Apple for opening a store in Bakersfield that I made certain to buy both high end (computers) and low end (ear pods) whenever possible. My experiences have been mixed. If I visit the store during the weekday and during non-holiday hours, I generally have a good experience. The salespeople during those visits have been generally knowledgeable (although I am always amazed that I as a customer often have to tell the sale people about certain features). Yet, my current review is based on holiday shopping and now during this busy time when people are coming into the store to see the new iPhone 8s and Xs. Bottom line—terrible customer experience. I went into the store today to buy something I knew everything about (Apple Smart Keyboard). I bought a smart keyboard for my iPad Pro two years ago and now my existing one is shot. The only thing I wanted to do before I purchased was to demo a Smart Keyboard to make sure my iPad wasn’t the culprit. It wasn’t. I needed a new keyboard. Unfortunately, I could not just pick up a keyboard and pay the cashier. I had to wait for an available salesperson. I was #6 in line, but I was assured a salesperson would see me soon. After ten minutes, and people waiting for me at Lucilles Restaurant, I decided to purchase the keyboard online and to pick up the keyboard later. After my online order processed, I arrived today to pick up the keyboard and was told to wait for the next available salesperson. Even though I had paid for the keyboard and had proof of purchase and ID, there was no process for getting my keyboard and sending me quickly on my way. It took the manager to intervene. He offered the usual courtesies but was openly dismayed that I could be upset with Apple. I eventually got my keyboard and in less time by protesting the process. The problem with this store (and perhaps the Apple retail system in general) is there are many people who come to the Apple Store who have no idea what they want or need so Apple salespeople have to spend an enormous amount of time with them. However, there is no express line. You cannot even walk up to the wall and grab some ear buds and go to an express checkout. Try buying a product you know you want and already use (e.g. an ipad for spouse or kids) during holiday rush. You’ll be in the store at least 30 minutes if not longer. I suggested last year that Apple have an express section where things like iPads and iphone that are not being programmed that day and accessories can be purchased in an express line. I doubt Apple will follow this suggestion or do anything that will improve the customer exprience for customers like me. So for me, I will buy my Apple products elsewhere. George told me my appointment was cancelled because I had not shown up. He put me back on the list and said it would be about 10 minutes. I have tried seven time since October to contact the Apple Store in Bakersfield. The automated concierge is tedious at best, unable to put me in the queue to wait for the next customer service representative, and I always wind up getting the same message: "Due to high call volume, we are unable to answer your call right now. Please try back again later. Goodbye." No matter what time of the day or evening I call, I get the same response every time. If this is indicative of the customer service I can expect after shelling out money for their products, I'm no longer interested in anything they have to sell.

There is always a crowd long-delayed sometimes they can be like the twilight zone because the staff does nothing North as the security when groups of individuals coming grab items in run out scaring all the patrons customers and children while the staff just stands there and this is inside of the Maine Mall here in Bakersfield to valley plaza even the security in the mall sales do Chase and apprehend the perpetrators these signs have been televised on the news and everything else but yet they still continue

Preface: I used to be a fan of #Apple products and customer support... Someone hacked my icloud account yesterday. And put all my devices in lost mode. After 3.5 hours with tech help across 2 separate phone calls. I recovered my account, but was told that unlocking my laptop would need to be done at my local store being told "they'll unlock it right there". And the next available appointment was today. After getting here and waiting for them to get to my appointment, I was told that they will need to check in my laptop and it should hopefully be done next day.... And that my iPad would have to be factory wiped (losing all data, and something I need my laptop working to do). All of this with no sympathy for my plight "Sir you'll have to just accept that we'll get to it when we get to it" Thank God for my Android phone, this is why I'll never fully buy into one system!
