I purchased my TV in November of 2016 from Best Buy. It is a 4K Samsung TV that was top of the line at the time of purchase. My TV had a 4” black line down the right side of the TV, from top to bottom. I called Samsung to find an authorized dealer in my area and I was pointed towards ACS. I dropped my TV off at ACS with the understanding that I was going to be footing the bill. They determined that the required part to fix my TV issue was the “LED Array” which was no obsolete. As you can imagine, I was in shock that my 16 month old TV had obsolete parts even when they are still selling it at Best buy. ACS told me that I could purchase the entire LED display, but weren’t going to propose that option since it was $1,200, which is the price of a nice new TV. ACS said that I could call Samsung and try to get a one time out of warranty replacement which they have seen happen before. For the sake of time, I will leave out the fine details. So I called Samsung and they denied me everything that I had asked for. The customer service guy told me to call their parts department to find out if the part was obsolete. I swiftly mentioned to them that I just picked up my TV from ACS, an authorized Samsung dealer that YOU pointed me to, and that they said it was obsolete. He said that I would have to have proof of this. I said ok, let me conference in ACS to have them tell you or send you whatever you need to verify this. I conferenced in ACS, but this was not good enough for the gentlemen. He then proceeded to tell ACS that they were not an authorized dealer. We got off the phone and the lady at ACS said that she would take care of this. She called me back 2 days later and told me that she had gotten Samsung to approve the one time out of warranty repair of an entire new LED panel and that Samsung would be footing the bill to have an ACS rep come to my house to perform the repair. I was in shock. I couldn’t believe it. I cannot say enough about the customer service that ACS provided me. They had no reason to call Samsung and fight my battle, but they did and I appreciate it.
