Wish I could give a negative number of stars. I bought two Surface Pros for my business and acquiesced to their sales pitch to buy the new Enterprise version of Microsoft 365. Come back tomorrow to install, they said, no time today--it was 4:30 and they close at 9pm. So I came back at 10:15 in the morning by apptmt, apologized for being 15 mins late for my apptmt due to a business call I couldn't get off of. I hate being late, it's rude and unproductive. And they hate it, too. For my punishment they kept me waiting 26 mins to finish up with a call to UPS. ??? That's what they said. When we got started I was told that Enterprise is a brand-new product and I was the guinea pig for installation--they had never done it before. Wish I had known that when they were making the big sales pitch. After about 2 hrs it was determined that I couldn't have Enterprise that I could only have Premium--still not sure why except they must not know how to install it. OK, let's install Premium. At 3 hours in, I was told I could walk around the mall, it would be another 45 minutes because various things weren't compatible. THEIR COMPUTER, THEIR PROGRAM. Not compatible. Hmmmm. 5 hours into it now, I'm still waiting for them to finish installing Microsoft 365 Premium. Terrible way to treat customers--no consideration for how much time I am wasting, how much I am falling behind because they don't know how to retail their products. Whew! What a fiasco! Microsoft--get your act together before you take your product to market. Then, hire capable people. I HATE going in your stores. Too expensive and ALWAYS a huge time suck. 5 hrs and counting.....still not finished.

Do not purchase any item from Microsoft. I purchased two surface tablets sent through the mail and requested a return from their customer service line. I spent considerable time of the telephone and the microsoft representative stated that I would receive instructions on the return, including RMA, shipping label, etc etc. I waited over two weeks and the promised email was never sent. I recontacted Microsoft and they stated it was now past the 30 day return period and tough luck. They continue to be an unethical group..DO NOT PURCHASE FROM MICROSOFT DIRECTLY.

Lots of cool toys. No pushy salespeople. Xbox fun, Minecraft ads. Twas truly a wonderful experience. Strangely enough, they had Samsung cell phones. The surface desk looks like an awesome machine. They had nearly every imaginable configuration of surface, surface book and surface desk and they looked like pieces of art instead of computers. We had a great time and if you are a Microsoft officianado, you'll enjoy it too!

I went in for assistance on a product at 4:50ish. They said I needed to make an appointment. So I set one for the next available at 5:30. 5:30-5:35-5:40 came around and nothing. I went up to an employee to check the status. She said, "they'll be right with you." 5:50-6:00-6:10 came around and nothing. All while employees(3) were walking around doing (literally) nothing. Went up to the one of the employees walking around again to ask the status of my appt. she said "oh they haven't seen you yet, I'm sorry about that they'll be right with you" again. One of the employees whom I was supposedly waiting for sees me come up to the main desk and walks away. Wait 2 minutes to give her the benefit of the doubt of needing a little break she goes to the other tech who's finishing a sale. I'm done. Bye Microsoft store!! I feel for someone that walks in there on a busy day. If I could give no stars I would.

I am in the store now as I type this review. I absolute love this store and spend a significant amount of time here. From the managers to the staff, everyone is welcoming and helpful. I have been able to try out products over time (unlike Best Buy) without any problems. I already have an Xbox, (though I may upgrade to the One X from One S) and an Xbox game pass subscription. I plan to get my next pair of headphones, cell phone and I might consider getting a laptop from them when I'm ready. Thanks guys!

I don't live close to this store so I've been trying to call about the availability of a product for 3 days. They never pick up the phone and all calls keep going to the online sales store which does me no good as they are not able to check stock amounts in the physical store. If your phones are so busy that I can't contact you for 3 days then you need to hire more people. The Apple store is right up the street and they always answer the phone so I guess I'll be purchasing an iPad instead of a Surface Pro if this is the type of support I can expect from the Microsoft store.

Disappointed to call, trying to discover whether or not they carry a part and have one at the store, listen to their message on customer service and then be told they wont answer the "inventory" question I called to ask and instead have to go into the store to find out. Seems completely inconsistent with their message on customer service to me, doesn't it to you? Now I have to go down to the store, ask someone, hell maybe I have to make an appointment before they will even talk to me, I don't know, and if they do not have the part, then I have to go traipsing all over town to other Microsoft stores to repeat the process. This is the level of customer service you get from a company that forgot it serves people. It is exactly the level of customer service you get from a company that thinks the customer exists to serve them. It was probably a mistake to buy from them.

Man the customer service here is amazing!! They don't do online purchases like the Chandler store but that's the best part!! There isn't a bunch of people pre ordering things and getting the items tied up but never purchasing the product which in turn sucks for the rest of the people who would buy the item.. So they 9/10 have the item you are looking for that says it's sold out!! Online!! I just let everyone of you know an amazing secret haha Your welcome !! Store is amazing and the employees make it even better! Was I'm there for a while and I'm normally make online purchases but this has changed my mind! I will be going to get my items there instead. And if you happen to be signed up for the rewards program through Microsoft than it adds to it's amazing ness ness ness haha

Buying the premium product line is a joke if you need support less than 4 months later. I bought the Xbox one x, and elite controller, just to have both break in a couple of months. Trying to get replacements was "only going to take a few days" and now I am being told I will be w out a system for over a month. My first generation Xbox one lasted for over 5 years. How is it I spend more money on a "better top of the line system" and this is the best you can do?

First review I have ever written, this was due to the sheer satisfaction this store has given me with not only customer service but with helping me with a problem. There were two associates in particular who deserve major praising and possible rewards. One was Rory who helped me on the day of transaction and the other gentleman I never have a bad memory for names but he was a major help the day before with my problem. I have never been so overwhelmed with help from these two and if you would like a description of the other man for him to receive some sort of praising from the company feel free to contact me. Bad customer service. The guy who checked me out just walked around and expected me to follow him, I was there for about 30 minutes waiting for stuff to come from the back, where I stood there listening to him and another employee talk about someone they work with, I was barely acknowledged or even told why we were just standing there. I came in and said I wanted to trade in my old xbox360 and buy an Xbox one. He said nothing, grabbed a box from the shelf, went behind the desk, typed somethings into the computer, then talked to the girl next to him for awhile, eventually someone brought out the paper work to trade in my old console. He put that in front of me, then talked to the girls some more, then I was done and slid the paper work over to him, he continued talking to the girl for about, no exaggeration, 10 mins about a girl that just quit and who got a job somewhere else and how they thought she would never make it at the new job. I figured we were waiting for something else from the back.... but as soon as the girl walked away he finished checking me out. He put the bag on the counter, tapped on it, then walked away... I couldn't even tell if we were done so I checked the bag and receipt to make sure. It was such a weird experience. I don't think I have ever written a bad survey, but that was weird. If I compared it to the apple store, Yea I might have to wait in line at the apple store but their employees are polite and communicative. I will keep buying products from Microsoft but will keep my transactions online only.

When I asked, they were able to get me in 30 mins. before the scheduled appointment. I needed my Windows reinstalled and Sandra told me she'd fix my problem right away, so that I didn't have to drive an hour the next day to pick it up. I appreciate what Sandra and the staff did for me.

Hello, I am very disappointed by the service provided by this store. I bought a Laptop from QVC with a free consultation. On Saturday I had my appointment with an employee called Dami ( I was told that was his name) This young man, is very rude, impolite does not know anything about costumer service. He sounded like I was asking him a favor. I am going to complain to QVC. I wan to call the manager of this store.

Disappointingly long wait just to get someone to checkout my $1000+ purchase. No crowds, no special circumstances, just a long and disappointing wait to make a purchase. I've had similar experiences at Apple stores, but that's only because there is 2+ people per Specialist. Little resolution offered by the manager when contacted- just a "we'll bring this up to our team".

Yesterday I went in needing a simple password reset. They cancelled my appointment I set that morning on accident, leaving me sitting there for an hr. To "make up" for the bad service I was told I would have my computer today (no extra charge). I came in today and they told me that I would need to pay $140 to be jumped ahead of others waiting or it would be 3-5 days.No you one in their right mind should pay $140 for a 5 min fix! What a waste of time. Train your employees correctly and fix your mistakes.

Lots of options and the staff was friendly and informative. They hovered a little bit which I didn't like, I like to look around and get familiar with the product on my own but they were able to answer all of our questions which was nice. The staff was easily able to talk gaming and internals with my IT nerd husband which was great to see that they know their product. They had a lot of different options to test out and the store was very clean and devices well kept to do just that.

The phone number will direct you to a call center. There was a promotion going on, so I called ahead to make sure that everything was in stock. I go to the store and the employee said that they have been out of stock for days, and that 99.9% of calls go to a central call center. I wasted so much time.

This is the biggest mall i have ever been to. I came here to apply for a job at Shoe Palace and walked around afterwards. It's 3 stories high, has a movie theatre and it smells like Heaven. Also it's filled with beautiful women and cougar's everywhere.

I walked in about 40 minutes before 6:00 (close) and assigned me a very mild mannered intelligent young man Jacob. He took all the time I needed for my surface pro 3 which had an annoying virus. Also Fixed a driver I accidentally deleted. He was very good at explaining every little knucklehead question I had about hooking up my computer to my tv to figuring out what my needs where for future business needs. What a nice group of professionals they have at fashion square. I've been at the Apple Store and always feel rushed and it impersonal there. Grateful for my experience thanks Jacob!

I just moved to Arizona and needed to get my laptop fixed (I usually go to the one in Northpark Mall, Dallas TX) when I took it in, everyone was as helpful as they could be but didn't have to much knowledge on the computer it self which I thought was weird.. it turned out that my computer needed to be send out because of the fan THIS WAS A MANUFACTURER problem and I was told time and time again that my computer was going to be sent to dell to be fixed and I wouldnt have to worry about it because it was covered under warranty and it would take no longer than two weeks... Two weeks later I'm calling and calling and no one can give me any information about my laptop expect for "they're still working on it" Almost four weeks later I get a call telling me that it's finished and I can go pick it up. I go in and Sandra "helps" me, she takes her sweet time lollygagging around and finally shows up with my laptop and is basically arguing with me telling me I have to pay a deductible when I shouldn't have to. She goes to try and get someone to charge me this only to come back and tell me I was right. Then I find out that they DIDNT ship my computer to Dell, they shipped it to their fixing facility and that's why it took so damn long, they didn't have the parts and had to wait forever and a day to get them in! (I knew something was up because I've had to send computers out before and the manufacturer typically sends them to your home, not back to the store!) My computer was fixed and I'm happy about that but this place has HORRIBLE customer service and they know very little about the products they are selling. I'll make sure I go to Chandler next time.

This is Adriber I will always provide the best and honest reviews. Great place to shop around. Associate were very attentive and friendly. I purchase the Surface Pro. Please note there is two different Surface the Pro and RT. The RT is more of a tablet and as such does have some limitations. However the Pro is the full blow experience of computer and table. Is very enjoyable once you get to know how to navigate in the system. As always I'm the firm believer of quality over quantity. This is my review and remember always look for adriber for the best and honest review.

As far as the look and feel go it's pretty standard for a Microsoft store, feeling very sterile and washed out in the bright white colors everywhere. We walked by a display of the HTC Vive near the entrance and an employee rushed out from the back to tell us we weren't allowed to touch it. We had no intention of doing that in the first place but the employee made sure to hover around us until we eventually left the store. Pretty uncomfortable experience

The people here are very nice but microsoft product support is just not there. They replace your faulty Surface unit with someone else's faulty unit and hope someone doesn't notice. I simply don't have time to call support, visit for replacement, lose all my files, etc twice in a week. I have had a better experience with Samsung and even Acer windows PCs. I owned a Windows phone 7, Xbox, Surface and just about every MS service in the past.

Excellent service! They saved my files and successfully transferred them from the hard drive of my old laptop that wouldn't let me sign in to Windows to my new laptop. I'm eternally grateful because I had A LOT of music on my old laptop that I had organized for days to make everything correct and uniformed, and the prospect of having to get everything onto my new laptop from Google Play Music, my CD's and Microsoft OneDrive was very daunting to say the least. I'm so happy I brought my laptops to them, even though it was very hard to leave them with the people at the store because I'm a worry-wart and computers are expensive and I'm poor. Lol. So after bringing my computer in(the week of February 2nd) that I bought at this store, after a hard drive failure during a Microsoft update and the computer still under warranty, I left it to be repaired or replaced. When I returned to pick it up I found that one of the issues with the screen opening and closing was not addressed because they thought it was cosmetic. When you open and close the screen it clicks and chips the case. Maybe an adjustment is needed? Anyway I brought in the product key to re-install Office and Windows 7 Ultimate. They could not get Ultimate to install, they told me, because they needed the upgrade product key instead. They apologized for not telling me they needed this and it should also be on the box for the software. I went home to find it wasn't there so I proceded to do the custom install(with the DVD) they instructed me to do. It erased everything they had put back on the new hard drive. All the drivers were gone as well. So I brought it back in again with both product cases and the key's and was told they would try to get everything re-installed including the Ultimate upgrade which was missing the upgrade code on the case. Its now a 10 days later and I have heard nothing. I noticed this AM they wrote down the correct e-mail address but the wrong phone contact number for me. I have called the store three times this AM and have been disconnected twice and as I am writing this, I am on the third call and we are on hold now at the 21 minute mark, after the person who answered told me to give him a minute. Oh and BTW they are going to try and find a new part/case as they agreed the screen being out of alignment is not a cosmetic issue and could continue to damage the computer. Maybe I need to go back to Dell to get the overnight business service that I was spoiled with. I keep a fully loaded backup computer since switching from Dell to Microsoft. We have 39 computers at my company but my job as President is not to have to spend time to fix or repair them(as I am out of state at my vacation home in Scottsdale I thought it would be easier to just drop it at Microsoft Scottsdale store then ship it back to my IT person in Gig Harbor WA). I just spoke with someone at the 23 minute mark who stated he would (make it his baby) and take care of it. He stated whomever called me from service called the wrong number(that was written on the intake form) and never tried to e-mail me(as they needed the product key I had already gave them). Also whomever checked in my computer did not fill out the form with their own name on it so i could not tell him who that was(pretty lazy way of doing business). And so I just sent the person I am speaking with at Microsoft Scottdale the product key and we will see what happens next. BTW. I gave the product code to whomever checked in my computer at the Scottsdale store on 3/3/2015. What happened to it?????

My husband and I dropped off our computer at this location and the rep that helped us (John) was so rude. He had such an attitude, clearly didn't want to help us, and refused to actually give us any info. He told us the repair would take hours, that we couldn't stay and wait for the repair, and that he would call us when it was done. We left the mall to start our hour long trek home, and he called us when we were 10 mins from our house to tell us it was done (50 mins later). We come back to pick it up and all of the sales reps ignored us. I asked for help and one of them told us that John was going to go get it. We waited 15 minutes and watched him ignore us as best as he could and not help us, so I finally called him out and he passed us off to Tyler. Tyler was incredibly helpful and gave us no problems! So that was one plus.

Clean, good selection and (thanks to the 10% education discount) a fair bit cheaper than expected. Unfortunately, it was also rather busy when I was there (on a Sunday), and so completing my purchase took longer than I would have liked.

It was my first time in a Microsoft store and was disappointed. The employees were talking to each other about how dumb another customer was. It took 5 minutes of me trying to get their attention and they didn't even say hello or welcome to the store. I've been to other computer stores and I can't shake employees off me with a stick. These employees barely knew anything about their own products. It was a bad experience and I highly doubt I will ever return. I would send them an email about it, but Microsoft's website doesn't have a feedback button or anything, now I know why.

They don't answer the phone. The phone number provided is the standard one, there is a machine telling you that you will receive a message in your phone to contact a real person. But you never get there. You follow the instructions, there is always a problem "please try later" ALWAYS, I tried different times, different days but never worked. Then they give you the option to call a 'new' number to talk with a real person but, surprise! Is the same IA again! Who sends you a new message, etc. I cannot believe who nowadays Microsoft does not have a proper way to serve its customers. Shame.

Cody, a tech at the Microsoft store, worked with me to get my Surface Pro 3 up and running. He not only listened carefully to my description of the problem, but continued to work through each challenge patiently. For example, FedEx had not delivered the part I had ordered, so Cody found one in stock to trade out for me. He also did all the paperwork to ship the faulty part back for me -- I had been told I would need to do that myself. Great Experience.

OK so I go into the store. Yes they helped me fix a problem, however the problem did stem from the buggy Windows 7 operating system. Here was the bigger problem, they promised me that the Premium Tech Phone Support contract they wanted to sell me would be in the United States. So I bought it, not realizing they would outright lie to me. As it turns out all the calls go to India and Philipines. Just great! Greif City as we all know how much fun tech support in the third world can be. ....... So then when I tried to get a refund, major hassle, major jumping thru hoops, major time investment. All this could have been avoided if they just wouldn't lie to/mislead people. Even the store manager, Joe Salamon, continues to claim(lie about) that the support is in America. What a joke. These people are so not professional and so indifferent to the customer. But I guess that's just the Microsoft arrogance we all know and love so well!!

A few days ago, I came in interested in the HTC VIVE, but the store said they were short on staff. A few days later, I came in and apparently they had already closed it down for the night. The next day, I came back, and again, they closed the VIVE demo right before we went. They had given us no notice the night before, and the staff were incredibly rude about it.

This is the worst store that anyone can go. I was one of the first persons to give my computer for windows 10 upgrade. Class was supposed to be started by 10am for new windows 10 upgrade. I was told it should not take more than an hour or so - so I can walk around the mall and come back within an hour. I came after 2 hours. The guy said let me check and he went inside- never came back. other guy came to me and said let me see what is going on and he did the same thing. The third guy looking at me came and he went inside - came with another guy and said I signed the paper that it will take about 24 hours so it should be ready by next morning. I called the next morning - call was directed to call center and the guy said he tried different 3-5 phone numbers and nobody is picking up the phone and tried again. I am sure they are also installing bugs and other spyware so they can monitor what I do on my computer. I hate this.

The staff at this location is amazing, super helpful I forgot the girls name but she went above and beyond to help us with issue that we were having with our surface. She helped us to recover it and all and still had the issue and was under warranty so the manager ended up replacing the computer for us because we only had it for 5 months or something like that. I will most definitely be coming from Gilbert to Scottsdale if I ever have an issue again in the future with any of my products.

50+ hours ago, I installed Windows 10 as an upgrade to my windows 7... For about 30 hours, I put up with my speakers not working (Neither internal nor external); My "Windows" scanner program could not be found; My printer setting could not be changed to print other than full color; My favorites (bookmarks to some) disappeared, etc. etc., etc... I tried contacting Microsoft ~ 40 hrs after install... Finally got to a recording that said due to high call volume, wait would be 1Hr+, so stayed on hold while I tried to find "local" support... Found the Microsoft store on Camelback, no answer, so went online and "made an online appt." per their site's request, listing the problems above, with "10", and picked an appt for the next day , supposedly with a tech to solve my "10" problems... Left my number and email as directed, (for confirmation or follow-up???)... In meantime after about 1 1/2 hrs on hold I got a tech from my Microsoft call to the worldwide support number... The first tech after about an hour said she'd be right back, and never returned... I was fortunate after about 30 minutes (listening to revolving Microsoft commercial about how wonderful Windows 10 is) got another tech... Explained above problems, and even let her take over my computer... Long story short, she said after 3 hours, that it appeared that it was the fault of the sound card manufacturer that they didn't have a driver updated to handle Windows 10 and it was my responsibility to contact them to get they to make one (even though the Microsoft verbage said they designed 10 to even handle generic drivers); She said I needed to contact the company to get my scanner working - I told her "several times" it was "Windows Scan and Fax" that came with my Windows 7, so she said then that it was HP's problem (my printer/scanner) to find a windows scanner driver that works; Also said the same for my "problem" with not being able to change printer settings to print in greyscale instead of color all the time; She said my "favorites" (that I have added over the years) were gone, and I should've realized that, and start new with Windows 10 favorites... (She also said my pics may be gone! - Thank God they were not)... I had asked about a Microsoft Tutorial, and she said she didn't know of one, since Windows has only been released 6 days ago... There were other questions I won't bother you with, but needless to say nothing was resolved... Oh BTW, when I let her "take over my computer, she had to have me move the mouse to click the locations, because there was a 10+ sec delay and her screen was locking up ( she was using Windows 10)... The way we left it, she said (after hours) that she was sorry, and hoped I could get a hold of someone to get me the drivers I needed, and also said they are having a lot of problems with the launch with overwhelming call-ins, because people aren't understanding 10, and weren't prepared for it. I told her I am just a marketing consultant, but it is basic marketing, that they screwed up and jumped the gun, AND it is arrogant of them to say it is everyone else's fault that the drivers and software weren't created to handle Windows 10... To finish - this morning, I called the Microsoft Store on Camelback, to verify my appt. before driving there from Scottsdale. After 8 rings, a lady answered, I told her I was leaving for my appt., and wanted to verify everything was set. After first taking my email, then my name and number, she said I didn’t exist and had no appt. for this AM and no one could see me today… I told her that she confirmed what I was thinking about Microsoft and Windows 10. I hung up, Uninstalled Windows 10 (Note: you only have 30 days from date of install), and proceeded to write my first review using Windows 7… Windows 10 may work on new computers, but it is not ready for updates (at least on my Windows 7) – ‘Nuff said… Good luck…

The staff are friendly but I went in there for support on two occasions (with an appointment. The first time I walked out after waiting 30 minutes, the second time I walked out after waiting exactly one hour. I have a Surface Pro 3 256G and wanted to learn more about Outlook Exchange Online. The sales folks didn't know much about it and told me to make an appointment with the Answer Desk. This is an OK store for sales, but terrible for tech support. Microsoft--what gives?!

Apple vs Microsoft store is so different I’m not sure I’ll return to Microsoft. I wanted to compare buds each store sold and micro didn’t have a pair I could test out or even hold in my hand. Apple let me pair with my phone, play music and make a call. The customer service desk wasn’t at all helpful and very short with their answers. Not impressed at all.

I've been here a couple of times; each time when my son needed a tech to examine his laptop. The store is spotless and spacious. Many of their products are on display; some you can even fiddle with while you're there. There is usually not a wait, as there are always multiple employees available to assist you. Each time we visited, the tech was able to solve the problem. The only drawback is the drive across town to the store - it would be really nice if they would open a store on the west side of town! Great store, though, I totally recommend.

We bought our son a brand new Xbox off Amazon for Christmas and the first time we turned it on it said system error. Super frustrating! Before returning it I thought I would come here and see if they could help. I made an appointment for 1145 showed up early, they offered me and my son something to drink while we wait, very polite. My son played video games the whole time we were there. Jackie was the one who helped us with the Xbox problem. She was awesome took us about an hour and half having little hope because of the issues but we finally got it to work or shall I said SHE got it to work! Other employees were more than happy to assist her when needed they are all so helpful and nice! Overall a great first experience and made my life at home a whole lot easier now that my 11 year old can finally enjoy his new Xbox one lol! Definitely recommend this place!

I was in this Microsoft store earlier and I dealt with one young lady. She did not know very much about the various dell models that I was interested and when she asked for assistance from a colleague he could only tell me the features that were displayed next to the computer, information I could have read my self. By the time I left, 4 of the staff had attempted to help me. None of which had much knowledge of the computers, nor could they find someone in the store who could. It was a very big change from the Apple Store which I frequent often and always leave with my questions answered. -To be fair I have been to Microsoft stores where the staff were very knowleadgable and helpful, this was just not one of those stores.
