Ordered the parts through Laptop MD to fix my Macbook Air keyboard 2 days ago. I was able to pay half of the total amount to replace the keyboard upfront in order to have the parts arrive first so that I could use my laptop in the meantime. The parts arrived over the weekend. I came in, brought my laptop to be changed, and it took almost 15 minutes for it to be replaced. Paid the other half and was out in a jiffy. Happy with the service.

Great service. Quick and solved my computer problem. No diagnostic fee. My laptop didn't turn on and it was due to a bad motherboard. The fix took a week, including shipment of parts. After I had received my laptop, I checked to see if it was working well. I found a minor issue with the LED indicators and pointed it out. It was immediately solved then and there. The fees are average. Definitely a recommendation for those who want to receive a great service without the sketch.

He was patient with me figuring out the specs and model of my computer and found the best way to repair my screen quickly and relatively cheaply. The team did a very good job repairing my laptop, and they were very fair about the price. However, some aspects of professionalism were lacking. (1) When a part failed to come in, they didn't notice it until I called, at which point they noticed that the part hadn't arrived and ordered another one. Later, they discovered that another part was needed, and ordered it, but I wish they had noticed that at the beginning. Altogether the repairs took about 5-1/2 weeks counting waiting for parts; it could have been 4 weeks without the extra delays. (2) They never gave me any document, or email, confirming what we had decided to do to my laptop. I asked for a 1 TB drive; they put in a 500 GB drive. (I discovered this when I picked up the laptop. Since I had never received any documentation of my order, I couldn't prove who made the mistake, so I had to just live with it.) (3) When I picked up the laptop, I got no itemized invoice listing the labor and the new parts. Bottom line: you can trust them with your computer, but make sure you've nailed down the plan in writing. Then keep on top them by phone until you get it back.

This place is a hidden gem, and a much needed one. A few months back, I had what I thought was a dead hard drive on my macbook, and needed it replaced same day as I use the computer for work. It turned out not to be the hard drive at all but just the connecting cable, which was a relief. The price was reasonable and the it took no time at all. Even something simple like this would require days left at the Apple Store. Today I had the same issue and brought the laptop in again. Turns out the hard drive and cable were fine, but the cable had come loose (I take this laptop basically everywhere). They fixed it quickly and free of charge. I can't believe more people don't know about this place. No appointment needed and they will not misdiagnose the problem, overcharge, or make you leave your computer behind (unless maybe it's a major repair or a part they don't have in stock, but that wasn't my experience). Highly recommend!

Seemed like they had a great reputation. They have tried three times to successfully replace the battery with my laptop to no avail. To add to it they hung up on me while I was on hold. Maybe you'll have a better experience, but I won't be coming back.

They might be good for the things they know how to do - like a screen replacement.But don't bother go to them when you need some "non-standard" work like a phone power button replacement - they will give you the whole BS spiel about how they need to test it for 3 or 4 hours to find the actual problem, then get the parts and so on, so it would seem that the final repair bill will be more then the cost of the new unit. Of course the purpose of that exercise is to make you think or feel that it is your decision (fault) not to let them help you on the account of the cost, while the real reason is that they don't want to do it and need an excuse.

I was very impressed by how quickly and professionally they handled my order. Apple gave me the round-a-round since 2015 with one of my laptops wanting to charge me $1000 to give me a new laptop , because they insisted it had water damage. The laptop worked fine, the only thing not working was the screen. I took it to certified apple fixers and the most they could get apple to go down was to $800 dollars. I gave up and ended buying a used Macbook pro, and that one was good up until a few days ago it just stopped working. I decided to again go to the apple store and the tech basically said it was not working and needed replace the hard drive myself, and buy a harddrive on Ebay. Basically no help. I thought that was it I was going to loose all my data and great now I have no laptop that i can use out on the field. I decided to try one more thing and do a quick search online for laptop fixers in the area where I work, and boy was I lucky that I found Laptop MD and Zolton. I decided to bring in both laptops. I was blown away...Zolton the tech repaired both laptops in only about an 1hr, and the even better I paid way less than apple would have charged me just to repair just the one laptop. Laptop MD and Zolton the technician are awesome and would recommend them to anyone.

Rip-off! My MacBook wouldn’t reboot, they ran diagnostics and said it was likely a software problem. They offered to reconfigure OS for $149. I declined, went to an Apple store where they did the same for FREE. They should have told me about that option. But they only wanted to make money. I feel cheated by LaptopMD.

I brought in an iMac that had no power running to the display, the result of a damaged logic board during a botched harddrive upgrade. LaptopMD gave me a good price on repairing the logicboard which cost less than purchasing a new one and about the same as purchasing refurbished (but then I would have had to replace it). After repairing the logicboard it was discovered that the Display was damaged as well. The technician had a calm and polite manner on the phone and explained the issue and that a new display had to be ordered. He offered a reasonable price on the overall repair since the LCD replacement had been unexpected. I am very happy with the service I received. I hope to never need their help again, but if I do, I won't hesitate to bring my out of warranty repair work to them.

Went here last week and as an online salesman I wanted to fix a few of my electronic devices (Iphone 5, 6 , 8, Macbook pro, and an Ipad min) and I got a decent price of under 100$ for most of them (broken screens, missing homebutton). Rip-off! My MacBook wouldn’t reboot, they ran diagnostics and said it was likely a software problem. They offered to reconfigure OS for $149. I declined, went to an Apple store where they did the same for FREE. They should have told me about that option. But they only wanted to make money. I feel cheated by LaptopMD.

I brought in an iMac that had no power running to the display, the result of a damaged logic board during a botched harddrive upgrade. LaptopMD gave me a good price on repairing the logicboard which cost less than purchasing a new one and about the same as purchasing refurbished (but then I would have had to replace it). After repairing the logicboard it was discovered that the Display was damaged as well. The technician had a calm and polite manner on the phone and explained the issue and that a new display had to be ordered. He offered a reasonable price on the overall repair since the LCD replacement had been unexpected. I am very happy with the service I received. I hope to never need their help again, but if I do, I won't hesitate to bring my out of warranty repair work to them.

Went here last week and as an online salesman I wanted to fix a few of my electronic devices (Iphone 5, 6 , 8, Macbook pro, and an Ipad min) and I got a decent price of under 100$ for most of them (broken screens, missing homebutton). The people at LaptopMD were quick and professional. I ended up calling them after the Geek Squad at Best Buy told me it would take 5 - 7 days and require the purchase of a service program to even run diagnostics on my computer. LaptopMD ran the diagnostics for free and assured me they would identify and probably resolve the problem within 24 hours. (Of course, they couldn't guarantee resolution in that time frame because they didn't know what they would find.) They did exactly what they said they would do, in the time frame they committed to. And they didn't charge me because it wasn't a problem they could solve! I appreciated it so much I took a different computer to them for a problem I knew would need some work, just so I could spend some money with them. Highly recommend them.

DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE BEING RIPPED OFF HERE. Brought my Toshiba laptop in because its internal power jack cable was broken, so I was hoping they'd have the part. After 40(!) minutes of waiting I was told they did, but it'd cost $150! There was no way that was possible considering that was a large fraction of the cost of the laptop and this was just a minor part. I found the cable on eBay for $7 and $10 on a reseller website! I was angry not only because they were about to rip me off, but because they forced me to wait so long...I guess it takes time to invent an exorbitant price. Furthermore, there is NO COMMUNICATION with the actual people who do the repairs; instead there is a middleman who walks back and forth giving customers "progress updates" and inventing new ripoff methods. They told an elderly lady they could protect her iPad by installing antivirus for an extra fee. Apple products don't require any of that as you may know. The level of scam here is shocking. I prefer direct, honest communication with the person conducting repairs as there is in the majority of laptop and phone repair shops. LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR TECH NEEDS.

I just had my Macbook Air repaired by the good folks at Laptop MD. I needed to have the trackpad replaced and my computer is my office so I could not have it left for days while it was repaired. I'm not the kind of person to leave reviews but I just had such an awful experience with Laptop MD. I brought in my computer to see what was wrong and get a quote. After looking at my laptop they told me it would cost $225 and they would need to order a part, and since I wanted to decide if it was worth it I said I would call back the next day and let them know if I want to move ahead. They said no problem. When I called to say I wanted to move ahead, they told me they didn't actually keep my information, and asked that I come back for them to look at my computer again. Obviously I was annoyed, and they told me some pictures of my computer would suffice instead of my coming back. I sent the pictures by email as requested. No one responded, and when I called back two days later, they were again fuzzy on what I needed done, and asked for more pictures. I sent the pictures and again, not a single response. I proceeded to call back three or four more times in the coming week, and each time they needed me to repeat all of the information again, apparently never actually noting what they were supposed to do for me. Each time they told me they would get to it, and they never did, and not once followed up with me. They apparently didn't want my business so I gave up. This was possibly the worst customer service, or lack of it, I've ever experienced.

I'm not the kind of person to leave reviews but I just had such an awful experience with Laptop MD. I brought in my computer to see what was wrong and get a quote. After looking at my laptop they told me it would cost $225 and they would need to order a part, and since I wanted to decide if it was worth it I said I would call back the next day and let them know if I want to move ahead. They said no problem. When I called to say I wanted to move ahead, they told me they didn't actually keep my information, and asked that I come back for them to look at my computer again. Obviously I was annoyed, and they told me some pictures of my computer would suffice instead of my coming back. I sent the pictures by email as requested. No one responded, and when I called back two days later, they were again fuzzy on what I needed done, and asked for more pictures. I sent the pictures and again, not a single response. I proceeded to call back three or four more times in the coming week, and each time they needed me to repeat all of the information again, apparently never actually noting what they were supposed to do for me. Each time they told me they would get to it, and they never did, and not once followed up with me. They apparently didn't want my business so I gave up. This was possibly the worst customer service, or lack of it, I've ever experienced.

I found this place on groupon , I thought the precise was very affordable . I brought my phone in to get the screen fixed, the staff were very friendly and the place was very clean and comfy . My experience at LaptopMD was fine at the beginning. The customer service was great. I needed their help because my computer would not open. It shut me out. LaptopMD was able to get me back into my computer but, in the process, they removed my Microsoft program. When I realized what happened, I called and they said that I should just re-load the program. Problem is, the program was shared with me so I don't have the ability to load it unless I purchase it. In short, I went in for help with a problem, and left with a problem. Update: 2/22/17 The issue has since been resolved.

Best place ever! They diagnosed by broken hard drive in about 5 minutes, cane up with a solution to recover the data in about 10. I dropped off a new drive with Zoltan and he was able to salvage all my files and load them onto the new drive in less than 24 hours. He's a genius and Laptop MD is now my go-to for all tech related issues.

Great location. Great prices. Saved my 1 year old laptop that wouldn't turn on by replacing the capacitor on the motherboard. I feel they could have easily just said the motherboard was busted and the whole thing would need replacement..the fact that they could do the soldering and troubleshooting to nail down what the problem was and come up with a solution is top notch. Only negative would be the customer service could be better as far as giving updates through that link they send you. I never actually got any updates through it other then the email saying my laptop was ready for pickup.

I HIGHLY recommend the place for quick turnover, the customer service and without trying to convince you that anything else needs replacing for their financial gain. Laptop MD’s customer service was amazing! My lap top wouldn’t turn on and I first went to the Genius Bar; they were going to have to mail out my computer w/ a 3-5 day turnover w/out any diagnosis and therefore cost estimate or guarantees of repair. They did guarantee that would need to charge to replace parts to fix it. As a student, I couldn’t wait that long for a repair and needed to access my hardrive ASAP. I went into Laptop MD thinking it was going to be upwards of $200. I went in right before closing and Greg and Pasha hooked up my hard drive & airdrop the files I needed AT NO CHARGE! I went in the next morning and Zoltan and Teni helped me with consistently wonderful customer service. They took only about 5 minutes to discover it was merely a loose connection, tightened the connection and sent me on my way with no charge! Amazing! I will always go here for my electronic repairs!

I went somewhere else and they fixed my computer which had a corrupted drive, but didn't need to be replaced. When I got home, I realized that the camera wasn't working so I had to come back, and I asked to return the laptop and receive a refund. They wouldn't allow me to return it and denied a refund. It turned out that there were more problems with the laptop they sold me, and the only solution they offered was to leave the laptop with them and they couldn't say when it would be ready. In the end they let me choose a cheaper laptop and they refunded the difference.
