I was told when I began attending that all credits I took at NWC would transfer to UWyo, and allow me to fulfill my generals quite cheaply. While all the credits did technically transfer, most transferred as electives. Unfortunately this has meant that I've had to re-fulfill several requirements that I completed during my time at NWC.
My girlfriend also attended here. During her first semester her advisor told her what classes she needed to take in order pursue her degree; however, her advisor had no idea what they were talking about, and had her take several classes that she had absolutely no use for. She decided to withdraw from the second semester within the first few days or the second semester, and began attempting to contact the school to do so. After many phone calls, as well as several trips to the college to get withdrawn, she finally got into contact with a woman in the registrar's office. The woman indicated that she would take care of the situation. My girlfriend was contacted months later demanding payment for the semester that she believed she was withdrawn from. She attempted to have this resolved, but after being threatened with collections, decided to just start paying.
Aside from that, the staff wasn't very kind or competent in general. During my time at NWC, I only had three teachers that I felt did their job well, and two of them have since retired.
If you have any other option, I would suggest avoiding NWC. There are several other very affordable community colleges throughout Wyoming. I took a few online classes through Casper Community College, and found them to be substantially better.
