I absolutely do not recommend attending this school, we have had teachers walk out on us with 2 weeks left of the class and the new teacher has just graduated almost a month ago. All the teachers were students there very recently and I feel they aren't ready to properly teach us. All the school cares about is your money, nothing more and nothing less.

I can honestly say that you learned a lot at this college, and just so students don't sign up and think they are going to get by easy heads up you actually have to work for your grades just like at every other college. Classes are also small so there is that hands on one on one with instructors.

I attended WVJC for the PN program. This college and program is a decision I will never regret. It changed my life for the better and made my dreams come true of being a successful licensed practical nurse. The instructors, especially Pam Wilson, were phenomenal. Always willing to help and reach out to give support even on their days off. There was never a time that I doubted that the instructors or administrators had the best intentions for my success. They provided me tools to be the best nurse and version of myself. The skill sets that I left WVJC with will only continue to help me to evolve in the world of medicine. Not only did I leave with a diploma, I left an alma mater that I will always be proud of. If you're looking for a college that is like a second family and makes the time to help you succeed professionally and personally, this is the college for you!! I would recommend this college to family, friends, acquaintances, and anybody who wants a skill set that make them soar!!!

I enjoy WVJC Bridgeport, I’ve been attending classes for a little over two months and I am very impressed. I hated school but here I actually feel like I’m learning and understanding the material. They work with you and are very helpful. They want you to succeed, it’s not about money for them it’s about success, it’s nearly impossible to do awful here with the resources they give you. I highly recommend this school especially if you enjoy one on one learning.

I attended the PN program in 2017. The program fully prepared me and the other students in my class for the NCLEX. We all had job placement waiting for us months before graduation. The staff is very helpful and care on the success of the students in all the programs they offer. They always put in extra time if someone was needing help with certain subjects. I had a very positive experience. The smaller class room setting was a perfect place for me to learn. The PN program at WVJC has brought my dream of becoming a nurse a reality.

Worst LPN program in the state!! 100% board testing pass rate..sure..but how many students actually complete the program..lets see..less than half every year so far..tgis year started with 22 students..who have to pass exams take interviews and such to enter the program..so they are not idiots by any means..and as of today..even before the grading of final exams..they are down to 5..yes 5..and who knows by the end of the day..i think we can all see where the issue is here..not with the students..what a shame..that most of these people have quit jobs..rearranged family situations and went through alot to be able to go to school..with the hopes and dreams that they were going to better themselves and have a stable future..however thats not the case here..would jot recommend to anyone the lpn program!

I have been an adjunct instructor for 3 years at WVJC and it has been the most rewarding job! I not only get to watch students grow but I also, get to see them achieve their dreams.

When I decided to go back to college I was 37 years old, married, and a mom of 2 kids. I was very nervous about being the "old kid" in school and worried that I couldn't keep up with the work. With dedication, determination, and the help of my husband I was not only able to just get by, I made presidents list the entire time I was in school. The staff care about your education and are always available when you have a question day or night. I knew of one student that texted a teacher at midnight and she responded right away! I recommend this school to everyone that don't want to get lost in a big college with overrated classes. If your worried about finding a successful position after you graduate, don't because all of my classmates landed great opportunities, most for WVU Medicine.

I have only been going to WVJC for 6 weeks but I love the small classes and the teachers really seem to care that the students are learning.

WVJC is a wonderful school!! If you are thinking of going here do it! You won't regret it!! The instructors are all awesome they go above and beyond the call of duty! They help u from moment u first walk in door every moment to have u ready to pass that certification and graduate! And they all encourage you and don't let u get down on yourself! They are all wonderful i cannot say enough good things about them! And they care after I graduated I got diagnosed with cancer and some of my former instructors keep check on how I'm doing i keep in contact with most of them!

Wonderful teachers, wonderful staff. Great classroom size for personalized learning. Many of the teachers will go out of their way to help you out with school work. The teachers really push you to do your best and succeed in the program you are pursuing. Couldn't have asked for a better place to learn. Class of 2011 Pharmacy Technician

I was a first year LPN student at WVJC in Bridgeport. I was old enough to be each one of my classmates mother but, that's ok because they did not treat me any differently. I absolutely loved all of my girls! My instructors Lisa, Pam and Elizabeth were amazing! Each one of them was always there when I needed them. They would explain it until I understood. They wanted us to succeed as much as we wanted to succeed. If it weren't for my 3 instructors I would not be a nurse today and loving my job. I actually enjoy going to work. The class is hard and a lot of work but we also had a lot of fun and tons of laughs. I will always cherish the memories.

I met some amazing people among the students and staff of WVJC. My training in the Pharmacy Technician program prepared me for the national certification test and helped me find a position working within the field.

This school is a complete rip off. I had attended WVJC to take the medical assisting program. I had went to this school back in 2007. I wasn't able to finish the program due to a medical issue. I submitted a doctors note and had to drop out of all my classes. The college took it upon themselves to send my grants back instead of letting them pay for the school. I was charged with the amount since they refused to accept the grant. I called the school and they refused to work with me at all. So now my husband and I both have 6 years in the military and they just took large portion out of our taxes. Never mind the fact I paid a lot of the loan and it didn't even go against the principal They refused to work with me at all. I am now going through a medical discharge out of the Army and this is what they decided to do to a veteran that fought for their freedom!

WVJC-Bridgeport isn't just a school, it's a family. The administration and instructors care about student's individual success and are always there to be supportive with personal challenges as well. I never felt alone and I always knew there was an entire team in my corner. I wouldn't trade my time at WVJC-Bridgeport for the world.
