We went there for college information session. It was the poorly organized. They were late to begin with. No apology. The admissions staff who presented the info sounded more like a recording machine...You basically could get the information from the website. Nothing new. It was more like a presentation than a genuine communication. She also admitted that during the presentation. We expected a bit more from Georgetown. No doubt it is an excellent university. However, it was the worst experience as compared to other information sessions we went to including MIT, BU, and U of Toronto, and Case Western Reserve

We took the prospective student tour and were very impressed. The senior who lead our tour was very well-spoken and told us a good deal about the curriculum, housing, clubs, sports, Greek life, and almost anything we could think of. We ended the tour near the bookstore, which was nice, as we then picked up some branded items. The tour was very helpful, and we definitely recommend taking it if you have anyone who's considering Georgetown.

I try to generally look for positives but my experience here was hardly that. Very dirty, run down campus. Was put in Darnall Hall for a summer camp and it was crawling with mice, roaches, and ants. Most rooms did not have working air conditioning either and I had to buy a fan because facilities refused to come and fix them and the dorms were unlivable otherwise. Parking was insanely expensive for non-students. Darnall and half of the other buildings and parking garages were in complete need of overhaul and one step away from falling apart. According to my coworkers who have been here before, these problems have persisted for years and nothing is ever fixed. If coming on a tour I advise asking for a more thorough look around than the standard walkabout I see guides presenting. Also be prepared to spend 30-40% more for anything and everything considering you're in the heart of Georgetown and DC. Cannot comment on the academic programs here but I would advise looking elsewhere as a first choice.

Easy to see right off of O Street servicing Georgetown and the adjoining areas of Washington DC. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast. Clean facilities. Public Restrooms. Long history of Tradition, Education, and Religious Studies. Our information lecture started late and was moved to a different room upstairs. Our tour guide said "Like" and "Uhm" over and over again. Edit I was treated at GTU hospital for 3 weeks for a serious respiratory condition. Nurses were caring and helpful. Howerer, there was a surprising indifference in the attitude of GTU doctors. Their visits were rare, brief and formal. Important medical decisions and procedures were delayed for many days. Treatment by Dr. DeKlotz led to hypoxia and made me completely miserable. After leaving GTU I had to go to a different doctor in order to restore my breathing.
