This is not the college you want to come to if are not from this region. Outsiders are NOT welcome here. The school itself may have a nicely written policy stating they will not tolerate racism or sexism behavior, but the students have their own policy and it goes like this: If you are not white, know your place. If you are not male, know your place. The instructors will turn a blind eye to the local’s behavior. I would not suggest anyone outside this county to come here. This community likes 1924 and they are not willing to accept anyone that looks, thinks or acts differently than them. Be warned that many instructors speak with such a horrible accent that it is impossible to understand what they are trying to say. And I have noticed that the ones have starred this establishment high are actually instructors. You are definitely getting what you pay for.

I attended PJC in 1993-94 and I had to leave because the father of my children left me in poverty. At the time, the staff would not budge to help me or even tell me what options I had. I hate that I lost out on my education especially since I recevied a scholarship in Journalism in high school. I just wish someone would have helped me back then so that I would not have felt that I had to leave Paris to get a decent education.

You’ll meet some decent professors that actually care some that don’t. Which is why I at least gave it a 2 star. The reason my rating is so low is the fact I paid for a class that I had no access to. Yet I never got a full refund be cause the class already started. I even tried to resolve the issue with the professor for the class and he really didn’t help to much. I was booted out of the class by the professor before any assignments were due. But was told it was a billing issue.

I don't know what people have been saying about the place, but pjc will bend over backwards to try to help people. I made an appeal and got my award to go back this semester i'm so excited! :P

You will never find a more caring faculty than PJC. The real world will not hit you until you leave. Isolated, but unique. Two more years of High School is what you will experience. Hope the negative views here are unique and isolated to a few. Sorry to hear about the events that happened.

The HVAC course under Jenna Ohmsbee is a disaster. When I complained that she never taught and left the class just standing around for 3 weeks. The college (Anglin/Spradley had their Police Department remove me from the campus. John Spradley and Pam Anglin just want the Federal money. This College is run by education scammers. My certificate for completing the course should have been printed on toilet paper. I feel sorry for the students trying to improve their lives and are forced to go to this scam college.

I absolutely love this school and the town in it. I am originally from a town of over 800,000 people in Florida, I moved here and am currently going to college on campus. The school is very affordable if you don't qualify for any grants or anything, and the staff in the admin department really help get you started on scholarships if you haven't yet or don't know how. The instructors here are very easy to get along with as well as they are more than willing to help out in any way they possibly can. The town is small enough that most people know or know of each other, but more welcoming than any other small town I have ever visited and I have been in Texas over 6 years. the campus has plenty of room for growth, and the math and since building is extremely nice. I am happy to go to this school and have no complaints.
