Education Excellence!

Lovely environment! My family and I drove down from New York to look at the school and I loved it.

Meaghan Stokes

A challenging school which provides a great education. Most of the staff seem to care about their student's success. Even being non-religious it is still a welcoming environment.

DO NOT BE FOOLED. If you can afford to float the ~15k a semester to go to this school then by all means, however if you are a smart student who wants an education while staying above the poverty line then might I suggest somewhere else in the Lowcountry, perhaps College of Charleston or the Citadel. From the dismal application process to the overall campus experience and price to get an education, this is by far the worst decision in schools. And I know what you might be thinking, "well maybe you were doing college right" WRONG! With this being a private school I knew rates were high but THIS?! You might as well give the school the 15k they expect for your meager education and just spend the time at home pretending you're going to college. This place is a joke and their financial aid is appalling, literally spent days trying to get finances to cover the semester taken care of and it seemed that the representatives were VERY condescending and implied that they wish to help only a certain type of people. This school is all for show. There's a reason why this school's population is constantly shifting. Those who stick around either transfer because of poor academics provided by the school or drop out from crippling student loans. Like I said, go to a school like CofC or Citadel and you'll get an education leagues ahead of this place, and it won't burn a hole in your pocket. Unless that's what you want, then more power to you. You have been warned.

Our family loves the caring atmosphere of CSU! Our daughter received her education degree here, our son is a sophomore and now taking our youngest son for a visit to consider enrolling. A young person can grow in his/her faith in a safe, family-like environment!

This school is an was an absolute horror for my son as many of you said the intro was the best part of the deal my son struggled his first year as all college kids do he went to this school with a 3.7 g.p.a coming out of high school they offered him a scholarship and took most of it back when he didn't make his grades instead of offering him help when I tried to contact the financial aide advisor all they said was it happened to her my son had been trying to explore all options I asked why is it that they don't help children to find money as aggressively as they call you when it's owed I believe this is a devil run school who just focus on the financial aspect instead of the future of their graduates I wish my son never made this school an option I wish I would have never allowed him to make this decision I was fooled with the weekly church service but what Christians allow this to happen to their students no wonder the graduation rate is so low I have 2 more kids and CSU will never be an option and I'm going to make sure this is the case for anyone I may know

I attended this college on a scholarship about a year back. It was the worst decision I ever made. The college looks amazing on the outside, and in the buildings that any parents may see, but the dorms are extremely ran down, made of center blocks, the classrooms are filthy, and the students there were pretty bad in my area. There was constant knocking on the doors as “fun” throughout the night, and the college professors claim they will help you, but in the end they refuse to do anything to help. I was highly disappointed in this college. For a Christian college, they really need to focus more on their students. However it seems that all they care about is the money. Yes they offered a scholarship, however if you need help, they don’t help, which in return causes you to have bad grades, and that leads to failing. Which if you fail, you must pay for everything yourself.

It's a beautiful campus with all buildings surrounding the lake, and the students are exceptionally nice. The school has a great Christian foundation, where students can meet other like-minded individuals and grow in their faith together.

I took a visit here a few weeks back, and i must say it is one of the most beautiful campuses i have seen. The environment is warming and welcoming. I am now an incomming student and cant wait to call it home

So Blessed my DD got accepted and attends such a prestigious university. She did start in January 18 and it was not a organized move in with very very little information, with the Grace of God she made it through and did make the Deans List with a 3.79. Who can ask for anything better. I did witness this move in in August 2018 and wow how lucky and Blessed the incoming class was and I pray all future newbies come with the same Welcome. I feel the new President and his wife are going to be a AWESOME change to CSU for the Positive. I am praying for them daily. This is a wonderful college, they have a top notch nursing program, communications, computer, law, Political science and many companies and the government offer the alumni jobs. I feel my DD is safe and is growing not only academically but with her faith. CSU is a home and family for all who walk through their doors. Great school and a big welcome for home schoolers ❤️

I went here for Mfuge (a Christian missions trip) for a week, and it was so fun! The campus is very nice and has good food in the cafeteria. The dorms are nice, but the bathrooms need a little work. They have a good coffee shop on campus also. The hall is nice and big and the pool is nice too. The pond is a nice quiet place to sit at and read your bible or hang with friends.

Awesome school, beautiful campus. Has a Wingate on campus which makes visiting easy.

I am currently halfway through my second semester of my freshman year and honestly believe with every piece of me that going to CSU was the best decision I have made in my life. I'm am so glad that CSU is where God led me to go. The students and staff are very kind and the environment helps you feel safe. GO BUCS!

Truly disappointed. They put on a great face for visits but once you are there you might as well be in cell block 6 lock up. The teacher do not want to do their job and don't fo into depth on tge subject as the should. Id hate to have a nurse, lawyer, or teacher from there. Glad to be transferring. Biggest, most expensive mistake of my life.

6/5 stars. A great school. It has its issues but more than willing to listen to issues. I got a great education and was repeatedly helped with education, career choices, and so much more. I would definitely recommend

This is one of the worst schools in SC. Only 30% of students graduate, and students' average scores are very low. Notice that there is only one review from someone who actually attended. This school may have a nice campus, but it's horrible academically. There are much better schools for less money.

Charlie Wylie

Great atmosphere, great faculty and a great establishment to earn a college degree. I only wish the caf was open to students 24/7, like most other schools.

Maybe you need to know if the campus is pretty enough to propose to (or be proposed to) that special someone whom you're going to meet in college. If so, I've got you covered. Campus is a good size. Not too big where you will have to hike your significant other 10 miles to the proposal spot. And, not too small where you won't have time to walk off the butterflies or she have time to realize something is afoot. The campus is also pretty. If it's Ring-by-Spring, your secret photographer will have a lot to work with. I suggest the front lake as a prime proposal spot. Plenty of places for your photographer and families to hide. Best spot to kneel is probably in front of the lake on the side close to the cafeteria facing toward the school entrance. Softball field is nice on a spring day too. So if you're on the team or are proposing to someone who is, then that may be your spot. You also might need that Home-field advantage. Best of luck! Let me know where you proposed and if she said yes.
