If you go here. Look for Dr. Jackie Ricotta. She's a hell of a nice woman. Best teacher I ever had. And you will most definitely learn. (not how to drive though hehe)

Delaware Valley College provides an environment and opportunity for the students to work closely with the professors gaining crucial knowledge. The college allows freshman to experience hands on learning their very first semester. With smaller class sizes the students are able to receive that one on one attention in their lectures and labs. The staff and faculty, continuously go above and beyond to ensure that their students are equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed with their future endeavors. Unlike other colleges/universities, the staff and faculty members are accessible and visible outside of lecture. This creates additional times for students to receive any assistance at all. There is currently being a new Life Science Building being constructed to house classes, labs, meeting rooms, and an auditorium. DelVal is a private college that is highly student focused. When a question or concern arises the President and Cabinet Members find a solution effectively and efficiently. This can only be accomplished as smoothly as it does due to the staff/faculty being so in tune with the students. DelVal is a small college with big opportunities. We are waiting for you to take that first step leading to endless opportunities.

Went to graduation this weekend and I was a bit disappointed that it was outside when it was pouring in a tent. There were so many people and not too many seats that some of us were standing outside. The graduation background wasn't the nicest as all graduates had some podium railing photos and only 1 when receiving their diplomas. We pay $35,000 a year and they couldn't made it inside?

They charge way too much - $8000 plus - for the Alternative Education Cert. Once I graduated there was no internship to prepare me for the harsh realities of urban education, because unless you know someone, those are the only jobs available. Their professors were ok - two were top quality professionals , two were okay, and one was awful - she liked to tell stories rather than prepare us for teaching.

DelVal Alum. Part of PEK Fraternity. Not only was the college full of excellent professors and help prepare me for life outside of college, but the brotherhood that i fell into was the best thing that i could've asked for in my college experience. They were kind hearted guys who did what they could to help around campus and to help local foundations. From the PB&J movement, to cleaning the school up during pride and polish, to running many of the major programs that the school had to offer, to helping at the local soup kitchen in Lansdale for Thanksgiving. This college and fraternity taught me more than i could've ever asked for!!!

Beware of a very rude and unhelpful staff! They do not follow up on their obligations. The teacher and staff turnover leaves an entirely new group of idiots with which to deal. I had to go to a real university to get what they advertised. Their recruiters are looking for new students to screw over.

re: How rude and berating SARAH TOMLINSON, FINANCE DEPARTMENT at Delaware Valley treats clients Unfortunately Delaware Valley has a financial staff member who makes it a nightmare for those who have to deal with the financial aspect of the academic process. Sarah Tomlinson is by far the rudest person in the finance department. Sarah is someone the responsible parties must deal with and in doing so she brings morale down for the population that is responsible for the students financials. Show some love Sarah Tomlinson. You're too mean for your own good. It's not healthy to be so wicked.

This is a beautiful campus and a great school to go to. Lots of hands on learning and smaller classes allows each student to make a connection with their professors. The campus is actually an arboretum and the final trees are beautiful in the autumn. The equine facilities and the small animal labs are great for the students to learn from. A-day is also a great festival to go to for anyone, student, family, or community member.

I love DelVal. From the students to the faculty to the staff, there is a real sense of community here. I am proud to say that I am a current student at DelVal, and will be even happier when I am able to say that I am an alumnus of the college. For those people looking for a great education at a small private college, I would definitely recommend DelVal.
