Good only for specific programs like Physical Therapy and ? and if you are planning to spend 1-2 semesters abroad. Their travel abroad opportunities is their claim to fame, Otherwise, it is a very boring campus, the food is pretty bad, the dorms are dirty for what you what you pay, and the majority of the students are commuters or live off campus so you don; t get the full college experience. As a Communications Major, I would HIGHLY SUGGEST another school. I wasn't prepared for a job as an editor on a magazine and most journalism jobs expect you are at least intermediate at Adobe Suite, using a Mac, able to do film/ photography and write, and chase are stories for $10 an/hr. The nostalgic days of the investigative reporter and my visions of bringing justice to the world like Edward R, Murrow and Hunter Thompson were over long ago, at least at this school, but the BILLS for just 2 years at Arcadia ( I was a transfer student keep on coming and probably will till I die). The Communications department is a joke and 90% is run by adjuncts. I had some good classes but I should have learned how to make a perfect resume, portfolio, and all the computer skills you're expected to know now. It is a beautiful campus although they neglect to say you are bordering a ghetto. Don't let that damn castle lure you in. Small class sizes are nice but you can get that at other schools for a lot less money The worst part is no one has ever heard of this school outside the Philadelphia area, so it is kind of embarrassing considering I am fairly smart and could have went to a better school if I had more money to pay for it. All in all, make Arcadia your back-up school and commute if u can to save a lot of money. You can throw a party in your back yard more exciting than any I ever went to at Arcadia.

This university is very safe and friendly environment. It feels like a home away from home and in the community aspect, you'll always have things to do, people to talk to and places to always find your favorite place to hang out at. Small population but very supportive faculty and students. 10/10

Just completed a multi-state tour of colleges with my daughter. Arcadia was hands-down our favorite. We arrived early and were welcomed inside by a friendly janitor. The Admissions staff was pleasant and our tour-guide, Kiera, was clearly genuine in her enthusiasm for her school. Assistant Swim Coach Stewart Wanser sealed the deal with his great attitude. The facilities are impressive. Arcadia gets my vote!

The administration is a mess. The best part of this school is being able to study at another school for a semester.

I chose to attend Arcadia University in 2009 due to scholarship and study abroad. While I loved my year abroad, my four years at the actual campus were a nightmare. Housing was deplorable; mice, roaches, poorly insulated walls and windows, no security, fire alarms go off weekly, and the apartment building still has original elderly residents who constantly complain and cause issues with the student residents. As mentioned in other reviews the academics at this school are lacking and are not worth the debt you'll go into. The ONLY reason to attend this school is if you have a large college fund and will go abroad every year in order to receive some semblance of a decent education. I wholeheartedly regret attending this university.

I have only visited twice and decided that this school was not for me. There is nothing to do on campus and the people were very very unfriendly. It just seemed very.. unhappy there. The students do not seem excited to be there, making the vibe so low. Also, the study abroad program IS impressive, but that is all the school excels at. I was unimpressed by the professors and the administration. Not terrible, but not for me.

Arcadia Focuses TOO MUCH attention on Study Aboard. They Should Focus On The School Itself. The School Lacks Academically, and they have a POOR REPUTATION. When An Employer Reads Over Your Resume, Studying Board Comes To Mind. My Daughter Chose Not To Attend Arcadia because she value education over everything else. The school needs to get their priorities straight. This school is more like a TRAVELING AGENCY than it is a university. They are #1 in study aboard. WHO CARES? They aren't #1 in anything else. At an ideal school, academics trumps everything else. At Arcadia, your experience in foreign countries will be better than the education you will receive at their school. If you want a good education, I would NOT recommend Arcadia. Also, the school is located on a highway surrounded by fields of weeds. Traffic and privacy are an issue. The area only gets nicer when you head away from campus (toward the shops). AMERICAN UNIVERSITY is a better school. It seems like Arcadia is the KNOCK-OFF version of American.

I attended approximately 5 years ago for 2 semesters. As a transfer student, I wouldn't recommend this school. I had many scholarships and grants, yet I still found the tuition very high-priced. You could go to an Ivy League for less, even!

They say school is diverse,or they are trying to make it that way. That is wonderful, unfortunately their is racism against white people that goes on,and school does nothing about it

Wow. Honestly don't understand how Arcadia is a University people even think twice about coming to. SO many complaints. This school is a complete joke. It's not worth your time. It's not worth your money. Probably one of my worst mistakes. The only good part about it is Preview and Study Abroad. But other than that this is not a campus you want to come to. Visit a few times and actually get an idea of what it's like before coming. You'll be thankful if you do.

Prepped for a year to do well enough on the GRE, gain work experience, and crush my interview to gain admission into their physician assistant program...which I did. Even visited the campus before accepting their offer to get an impression of if it was right for me. Well, it was a classic bait and switch [in quality]. The castle ambiance is luring, but the administration and chairs are a soup-sandwich falling apart. Two professors were fine but the rest couldn't separate out their divorced unhappy lives from their duty to teach. Some had a strange understanding of pathophysiology that makes me chuckle 12 years later now that I know better. Plus, they tracked negative feedback on courses by seeing what time your evaluation populated off and when an unnamed new one populated on...so there was no true anonymity. Luckily my academic advisor went to bat for me when I was threatened with expulsion if I ever gave another negative review. It prepared me but I am sure another university would have done so just as well with kinder and more just intent as well as better organization.

I've heard terrible things about this place and the 5 star reviews don't seem like they are from students, maybe they are written by the administration to make it seem better, also there are a lot of no words 5 stars, very suspicious

I have spent 4 years at this great institution and I plan to stay for a further 3 years in pursuing my DPT degree. Many complain of a lack of activities and in my opinion it's due to the lack of effort many put into finding things to do. I have found it incredibly easy to have fun while enjoying the peacefulness of avoiding inner city sound pollution. If you are pursuing a degree in any biological studies and want close personal interaction with professors, this is the place to be. This university has opened many doors for me and I am grateful. I will be honest in saying that it needs a tune up in some categories, student affairs I'm staring at you, but it succeeds in preparing you for the real world. Finally, if you want to see the world, there is no better place. I have been to London and the Virgin Islands for study abroad and have had many friends that have explored nearly every corner of the world. This is my humble opinion, if you don't agree, then you didn't take advantage of this school. Hail, Arcadia! Hail! We say! I hope this helps.
