The staff was very helpful and supportive of me completing my degree. Without the personal one on one, I may not have completed my degree, I am very thankful for all the support they gave me. The Online classes allowed me to continue to work full time, attend my children's activities and complete my degree.

Let me start by saying I took 2 summer courses and the professors were great!!! But it has gone downhill from there. Trying to get a Chemistry class is a nightmare due to limited professors/classes. I have been trying to get my credits from a previous college transferred since June, this impedes my ability to use the self service option to grab a chemistry class when one becomes available that meets my needs... very frustrating looking at other options

Sencillamente la mejor escuela con muy buenos profesores

This is the worst eperience I have ever had with a school. I toured years ago which one was not even a tour, just information, and now I am being billed and grades reported for classes I have never heard of before. I did not live near the area and the staff was not helpful so I decided not to join. I called to ask about an appeal and the man who called back Joe A. was the rudest man I have ever talked to. He interrupted me at every opportunity and then began to tell me that I signed up with a senior advisor and I need to get a story straight. The man continued to raise his voice and I had to ask him a few times to lower his voice and not speak to me. He continued to shout and speak down to me. I have never had someone treat me this way! I strongly suggest his postion be changed.

Great community college! Rose State doesn't charge an arm and a leg to attend and everyone is very polite and helpful. Majority of the professors working there seem to really care that you do well and honestly treat you like a student and not just another number. The campus is small but beautiful and they always have parking somewhere close. Definitely a college worth going to. I will gladly donate to Rose State in the future.

Don't go to this school if your actually trying to graduate. The computers are out dated and you will see your self waiting 30 mins for the computers to boot. Once they do, you will still find your self waiting 2 minutes in between windows etc for the internet to catch up. I will be glad to be transferring to UCO next year.

Rose State College is a great community college, designed for those who are just getting out of high school, and don't want to spend an arm and leg. I enjoy the campus, and each professor I had was very helpful. They offer tons of great programs to get your life going the way you want. So.. Enroll. A year from now, you'll wish you'd started today.

Adult Learner-- They offer 8 week classes for adults, but not for any program worth attending. They also offer online classes which sounds great, until you get access to the course and see that it is a requirement that you go on campus to test when the class is NOT listed as a hybrid class. Some professors will stick with it being online and allow you to take the course strictly online, some will not and there is no way of knowing until you get access to the course when classes start. Before moving to OKC, I attended Penn State and was under the impression that online meant online. So, if you are a working adult or in the military, this college is NOT friendly to you. Don't expect to be able to take strictly online classes while deployed.

Great environment. Great President. Great Price. Great class sizes. Greater still are the opportunities to get involved; especially through Baptist Collegiate Ministries and the Rose State Leadership program.

The professors here have been amazing to me, but, if you're trying to solve a problem through admissions or financial aid don't waste your time. I have been told to give them my number multiple times stating that they would call me back but no call. All I need was my transcripts updated for financial aid and they kept sending me back and forth between them with no help given. 5 stars for professors and the classes I enjoyed learning. *Update* Financial Aid ended up having to request my transcripts be updated from admissions. Very happy I found the right person to help me, adding a star.

The admin and financial aid workers act like they are paying your tuition directly from their own pockets. They are rude, condascending and disheartening.

I love this college, I did a few years of my undergraduate work here and it was great. The price cannot be beat, it is a great value. I like the smaller home feel campus with smaller class size where you actually get to know your instructors as well as classmates. They have done a good job of adding buildings and classes over the last 20 years and I hope they will keep expanding to meet the needs of the community.

I have enjoyed my courses and professors tremendously. As a non traditional student, I also enjoy the diversity of student demographic. Rose State is an excellent choice for a 2 year degree or as a stepping stone towards your transfer to a 4 year University.

Staff is not helpful

Now I'm a little sweet on this college because I go to it. It is a modest size Community College. It offers a lot of great courses and the classes are not overflowing so you will get more one on one time with the teachers. It's right off I40 and plenty of parking. I wish it had more food places on campus but it is in driving distance to a lot of food places.

I took 2 classes at this college and only one of my professors was amazing and very helpful. the financial aid office is mean and they don't explain anything to you. I visited the President to talk to him about issues with financial aid and two days after speaking with him I was on financial warning and the lady in financial aid told me it was because I had dropped out of classes in 2009 in a different college in a different state so I had to "make up" the hours I withdrew from. Also my academic advisor lied to me about what classes they had available in order for me to tranfer to Texas A&M University. I had a list from Texas A&M and there was 12 classes on the list, Rose State only had 2 classes and told me if I were to get an AS degree in science from them I could transfer but when I went to Texas A&M the Dean of that section told me they didn't have what I needed so I am having to tranfer to a different city college that offers more classes and that has a student services department for tutoring which Rose State doesn't have unless you are a veteran and they only have tutors for certain classes not for all classes that they have in the catalog. I would not recommend going to Rose State because they do everything they can to deny you in financial aid and the academic advisors tell you what you want to hear so you attend. It was a waste of my financial aid to attend this college.

Terry Long

Eric Geiger

Small town feel which means small class sizes so the teacher actually knows you, by name.

Bailey Carey

Everybody is very rude!!! All of the cashiers and financial aid get attitudes when you call!!!

Madeline L

In short, don’t waste your time here. Dealing with financial aid is NOT worth it. Save yourself (and your gpa) by taking a year off or by going to a different small college in Oklahoma, but seriously one of the worst decisions of my life.

Benjamin Garrett

I went there for my first year, then transfered here to Illinois Central College due to a new job coming up here, and to put myself in a better position in life. I can tell you all this though, Rose State College is well worth it. Everyone is nice, I made greta friends, and the schedules were very flexable. Best college to start higher education, to be honest.

Brennah Lockwood

I attended RSC for 3 years and got my degree in Mass Communications and I have to say that I loved going to school here. The small class sizes and one to one teaching was what I went there for and I always felt like I could talk to any of the professors when I had a question. The cost is the other reason I attended and It was great education for the price I paid.

Campus and facilities are so, so... The instructors aren't too bad. But hey, they are colleges credit hours.

ps_loveKaile

I think this would have been a great beginning experience, if not for the Financial Aid staff. I talked to two different people, and both were equally rude. They talked down to me, and came off as if I were annoying them when I asked a question. Left a sour taste in my mouth after both conversations. Seems like a great campus and environment , but sadly this is the impression I'm left with from just one department. Rose State College would be perfect in meeting my needs for convenience. Hopefully these few individuals' qualities don't reflect the school staff as a whole.

Caleb

The assistance was quick as lightning and accelerated the procedure for signing up.

Ariel Kuhl

I'm a single mom to a disabled boy, their on-line classes offered a very flexible schedule that allows me to better myself. The staff are always helpful and very nice. I'm glad I made the decision to go here.

Great professors!

Amanda Armstrong

My Anatomy professor was a amazing and I made some great friends from that class. However the academic advisors are rude and very unhelpful! I kept emailing and calling to get information about the nursing program with no clear answers to only be told last minute they added Chemistry and Physiology as required courses. Will not come back and not recommend.

Aries

It doesn’t look like college and only one person was nice to me in admonition office, people there neither upset or sleepy! what’s up with that!

Absolutely the worst college in Oklahoma

Wes Farris

Horrid. I went to an actual college that temporarly farmed out some teaching positions to Rose State. The teachers and adminastration during this time were unprofessional and inept. I passed the classes but by the next semester Rose State had lost its accreditation (with UCO at least) and they were kicked off the UCO campus. Furthermore, even though my financial aid paid RSC in full, they filed to garnish my tax refund for tuition payment. I received no notice, no letter or bill was sent just the tax commish letter. The "contact number" they gave was a dummy number to another buisness. I am currently in talks with my legislators office to assess what can be done to stop RSC from doing this to other students. I do not suggest anyone attend this school.
