You only get out of it what you put into it. My experiences at Pitt CC were all excellent. I had great professors who always aimed to help students. The extracurricular activities on campus went above and beyond my expectations.

Dead Mic

Racists. The black people are racist against blacks at continuing education. This particular campus is ruled by auxiliary staff(not teachers or professors)

This would be my first year attending Pitt Community College. I had to go to the Goess build a lot. The only bad thing I could say about PCC is the staff inGoess never seem to enjoy their work. Recently , one of the women at the front desk ,I felt, was very rude as I was asking for assistance. I would like to feel respected as I will show you the same.

Mike Shugart

It was harder than ECU and I will give them that. They are an integral education source for Pitt and surrounding counties. My teachers were burnt out and I'm guessing in other majors too, they overbook at first and some people get kicked out of their program for the most inane reasons. Like overselling gym memberships. Know what field you want to study before you waste time and classes. I suggest you get general education out of the way. Then enter your major without the heavy load on top of the full- or part-time job you have.

Excellent school. A lot of great programs to choose from. Key points. TALK TO YOUR ADVISER. It will save you a lot of grief.

IF YOUR THINKING ABOUT GOING TO THIS SCHOOL DONT!!! FROM THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE, TO THE CONTINUING ED BUILDING STAFF IS JUST TERRIBLE, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE!!

Morgan Russell

Poor customer service!!!

I am currently a business major at PCC and the instructors are great. They are always willing to help you with any problems you may have.

When do GED classes started

The teachers, for the majority, do not care about you or your education. They come in teach and leave just to get the paycheck. The “Office” staff in the main building have no desire to help you and ignore anything you submit. I was told my appeal for financial aid was “not reviewed and automatically denied” even after I had office personnel help me do all the steps for accuracy. The cost of books is extremely overpriced. I saved over $400 by buying elsewhere, and that was only for 4 books. Do not waste your time going to a school that teachers and staff don’t care. You will receive grades based on if the teacher likes you rather your accuracy and correctness.

My son is having the hardest time getting into this college. People rarely answer the phone for students trying to get in.

I am a current student at PCC. I will be graduating in the fall! I transferred there last year and it was the best decision I've made. The instructors are amazing, the classes are small, and affordable. I project that PCC will become a university within ten years.

This is a reasonably good school. It has some of the best offerings of any community college in North Carolina. The American Institute of Research and Matrix Knowledge Group developed a "success measure' for community colleges. 'Success' meaning employment and ability to transfer to 4 year college. Pitt CC ranks 263 of 786 community colleges nation-wide and 8 or 32 North Carolina community colleges. That's not bad when you consider where it's located. The top schools are in areas where they can draw much better prepared students.

Teachers are great and helpful, the office staff can be hard to get up with at times.

Emahni Chinn

I attend PCC and I love my classes, but the staff is ridiculously rude and unprofessional. Everytime I call, at anytime between 8am-5pm, no one seems to answer. The people who do answer tends to have a attitude and send you back to where you was at on the call. Other than the staff, Great School..

Dylan Jenkins

Admissions staff are disorganized and not the least bit helpful.

I'm glad this community college is here! Without it I would be paying so much more for my degree. I probably would not have been able to pay for a 4 year college! All the teachers are human, so no one is perfect. I've seen a few things that I think could have been done/handled better, but all in all this is a great place!

Karen Clark

I love this college! The Medical Assistant program is amazing. All the instructors are amazing. They go above and beyond. They genuinely care about all their students.

For the most part the teachers and classes are good, but not great. The real problem I had was with the foreign language department, this is because the teacher does not test you on what she teaches, and then I went to the department chair for help with the teacher, and she told me to get a tutor, so I scheduled a tutor and when I went to the tutor, she was on a walk and I waited for 20 minutes for her but she never came, so I left. Also, trying to talk to counselors is very disorganized and takes to long because there is only 1 counselor at a time, while the others sit in their office.

This an awesome institution to receive or begin your degree. I had the pleasure of learning from the information technology professors and they are phenomenal. I would absolutely recommend this school and that particular concentration to anyone! Go Bulldogs

Terriblly short sighted admissions/counseling/guidance staff that is only there to do their daily routines instead of having the best interests for the students. Never put all of your eggs in the basket of any of the staff their.

Pitt Community College has not been a good experience for me at all. I received no help from the financial aid office, they told me they could do nothing for me unless I had a parent present even though I am 20 years old and am completely independent from them and they love in a whole other state. Don't even get me started on the "advisor" situation there. I was assigned to a "success navigator" not an advisor and he had no idea what he was doing. His name is Clark Howerton. Being a first generation college student, I needed guidance so I went to him. He offered me 0 help at all. I was then transferred to a "real" advisor during my 3rd semester there. She again offered no help. I had to email her 2 times over the course of a week, so that I was finally able to get a response. Instructors told me that she was not a good advisor... so why is she one? Because of these mistakes through pitt, I am falling behind in my academic schedule. Would not recommend this institution to anyone.

My experience at Pitt Community College was terrible. I would not recommend this college to anyone. I was injured on campus and received no medical care. The instructors we're rude and condensing. One instructor told me he "wanted to break my neck".

KATTZ

As a lifetime learner I loved my experience there. Classes are small enough to be noticed and also make new friends. There are many clubs and activities to participate in also. Great school with great programs or college prep.

Nathan Cummings

When you all are getting the GED classes up and going. I have been wanting to work towards of achieving my GED.

Jack of all trades !

Great welding program

If/When you read the reviews about others saying that PCC staff ignores it's students, PLEASE BELIEVE THEM! They rarely answer the phone, do not return phone calls, and rarely respond to emails either. This is my first (and last) semester here, I had enrolled in the summer online classes and transferred credits from a high school in Pennsylvania, being a working adult. If you are just jumping through the hoops to have a degree under your belt and don't care if you actually learn anything, PCC is a fine place to do that. But if you expect to get the education you are paying for to increase your knowledge base and be better prepared for your future, this school is not the place to go. I feel really bad for the recent high school grads and others from the local school systems who have not had exposure to quality education to be able to tell the difference and recognize that they are being short changed/taken advantage of, and its the students who will suffer from being under-prepared, not the college or the instructors. Students won't know until they actually graduate and enter the work force and learn it after the fact.

When you read the reviews that say staff ignores students believe them. They rarely answer the phones, do not return phone calls, and rarely respond to emails either. It only gets worse once you are enrolled. You are a student ID number and a tuition fee. I wish I was lying when i say my English teacher has not graded any writing assignments this semester until yesterday after I spoke with the dean and lost my temper (3 weeks to end of semester). This was my first (and last) semester here, I had enrolled in online classes and transferred credits from a community college in Tennessee, being a working adult. If you are just jumping through the hoops to have a degree under your belt and don't care if you actually learn anything, its a fine place to do that. if you expect to get the education you are paying for to increase your knowledge base and be better prepared for your future, this is the wrong place. I feel really bad for the recent high school grads and others from the local school systems who have not had exposure to quality education to be able to tell the difference and recognize that they are being short changed/taken advantage of, and its the students who will suffer from being under-prepared, not the college or the instructors. I have had the privilege to teach Social Media Marketing for small business owners over the years and always enjoy the quality of the local business owners that shows up. They have a very active Small Business Center that is actively involved in the local towns and helping small business owners become more profitable. If you are a small business owner make sure to check out what is available free of charge for local owned businesses.

Great school, but certain girls ( Hailey White ) is using the school parking lot toeet married men to sell you treats and it's not candy.im sick of young dumb girls like her and her friend Lee bartender at hooters to sell sex.

Alesha Grimes

I start at pitt tomorrow and I am excited the people there are so nice that I have met so far especially the advisors they have helped me get on track for their nursing program! The only thing that I am disappointed in is that they don't do direct deposit for refunds they only mail them

Kamron Hopkins

Some of the teachers are outstanding, others not so much. The school is a "for-profit" organization. Books prices are over-inflated, councilors aren't knowledgeable about there trade, and the FA Office is terrible about getting things done or even responding to request. Don't let the "good reviews" fool you, this is a poor choice for a school, the staff are only there to collect a paycheck and do minimal work, students are just a number... I advice against attending here unless you have absolutely no other option!

I love the criminal justice staff here at PCC. I really enjoyed my 2 years here, they care for you and make sure you are on track of everything. All the teachers in the CJ program are awesome and really know what they are talking about. Now that I am at NC Wesleyan it has made me miss PCC because it is all very different. This is a good program and school to start the CJ program degree.

Came to cafe to eat my lunch as I do everyday, forgot fork at home. Asked if I could have one, was rudely told that it would be a 0.5 cent charge or I would have to buy something from the cafe because “her boss lady pays for forks”.....so you’re telling me that the school doesn’t set aside funds for the cafeteria? You’re also telling me that because I do not have any money on me I have to eat my lunch with my hands?

Henry P

This is the most inefficient excuse for a college. Every exam I’ve taken to recertify for my job should take about 30 minutes and I end up taking the entire day off. Please give everyone their money back.

Treats their students like trash if there's a fixable problem. Would not recommend
