Beautiful campus, great academics, even better staff. I would rate 5 stars but they don't have dorms. If they had community housing or dorms it would for sure get 5 stars. Give this place a visit. It also contains the best trucking school in NC and One of the top 5 programs for Sonography.

Beautiful campus, friendly people but some teachers can be inconsistent in their work, check with your peers about the classes you take with the different teacher options to find the one best suited for you.

This school has the rudest staff in the world. Do not waste your time here. The staff will be reluctant to helping you, and well do it with the worst attitude in the world. This school is a piece of garbage. Sadly I cannot give this school zero stars.

I don’t recommend JCC specially the Cosmetology department! Director of cosmetology Jennifer Wells, is not build for any type of supervisory position. She is unable to handle constructive criticism, walks out of meetings when questioned by students (while students are speaking to her). Very unprofessional. She bends the rules for her favorite students (which happen to be Caucasian by the way). She does not enforce the policies across the board equally for all students. She’s quick to micro manage colored students hours to drop you from the program, but if you’re Caucasian you’re in luck. One particular student barely attended and would always have “medical issues” yet she was allowed to move to every semester with no problems nor repercussions without repeating. The student would always brag “I’m not gonna get dropped” even before staff and Jennifer would have their “meeting” regarding her. Others, get dropped, and have to walk on eggshells. Don’t complain to the dean nor president because it will get swept under the rug. This issue of non equality has caused many students to give up, has affected many of our self esteem, has made us feel unintelligent and the list goes on. Instructors are AMAZING. If it weren’t for them I would have given up, as well as other students. It’s not their fault the department is a scam. They do their job to the best of their ability and honestly they deserve better. It is a revolving door for staff, they’re often resigning. Overall I loved every single one of them, regardless they are passionate about their careers. Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Avery, Mrs. Evans made a huge impact in my life and I will forever be grateful for them.

A bunch of rude people who aren't very helpful. And the staff are very rude and aren't very professional. I've only met about a couple people who are actually nice and willing to help me going to school here. Other than that, it's like pulling teeth to get help with anything.And if you do get help, you'd wish you hadn't, because of horrible attitudes. I understand bad days but this takes it to a whole new level.

I was a student here in 2006 and I'm back again in 2018. I love this school but I hate having to change my password every 90 days and I have to go in registra office to do this. It will not let me do it from home. I'm glad I did my homework from my online class before the system locked me out. The only reason I think I have to go in office to reset my password is because someone at jcc is too lazy to change my name in system. They have everything in my maiden name when I was here in 06. Such an inconvenience

Jcc has the friendliest, and most helpful staff I have ever experienced at a community college! Everyone goes out of their way to make sure you signup for the appropriate classes and answer any and all questions you may have so there's no confusion and you are fully prepared to excel and prepare for a four year college once classes start and you are ready to transfer to your four year college! The admissions process is very fast , easy , and you are informed of all information rather it apply to you or not , so that there's no unexpected surprises when each semester starts ! They treat everyone like a valuable asset and individual, rather than a paycheck or a number! If you don't succeed, it's your own fault because they give you a very solid foundation and provide assistance to all current, future, and alumni students for years to come ! I don't have to play phone tag or go on a manhunt to get in contact with someone or get a call back ! Highly recommend this college to anyone that has an interest in a friendly, affordable, and very organized and professional college experience!

This is the worst place on the face of the planet to learn anything. Being on campus is depressing. Nobody wants to be there at all. Half the students don’t care and the overall experience could not be any worse.

I can honestly say that most staff members are nice and are willing to help, but of course there are some that just look like they hate their jobs. I have been a student for a couple of years now and I have seen a lot. I understand that the financial aid department is under stress, but to neglect a student is uncalled for. I have seen some of the rudest staff members.. but I can say most of the instructors that I had, did care and was willing to help me over and beyond.. they cared more about students success than the pay check.

This school is an amazing place to get an education. I have been going here for a couple of years now and I enjoy every semester. I can't say enough good things about the faculty, and how genuinely helpful that they are to their students. The only thing that I could mention negatively is the parking, it's ridiculous, so give your self plenty of time. I have met so many wonderful people and have really enjoyed my time here.

This place is run by a bunch of hicks and they are completely incompetent. Their streetsafe program is a huge moneygrab, and is incredibly poorly managed. They do not return your calls, and never confirm your class appointment times. In fact, it seems like they are colluding with the DAs office. Your better off just paying the fine and never dealing with these fools!
