My MCNY journey was an exceptional one. I attended the one year fast track MBA program. It was indeed fast but thorough, complete and interesting. The experiential learning component coupled with the International Travel portions were indeed the highlights of my experience. All of the professors present a community feel as opposed to other environments wherein one would disappear in the abyss. My co-hort was very close, we have maintained contact and continue to be resources and supporters of one another. This was a total college experience and i highly recommend it.

"Malcolm Gladwell stated that going to a big school isn't always the best thing". I have to agree with him, sometimes small private schools offer so much more. I have to say the experience at MCNY, helped to expand my knowledge and skill level.

Dear MCNY, I've written this recommendation of your work to share with other LinkedIn users. Details of the Recommendation: "As a former student and later teacher, MCNY is a great place to study and grow personally and professionally." Dr. Oswald Thomas

How do I even begin to explain the change I experienced not only academically but personally at MCNY? First the staff was so welcoming and genuinely interested in ME!! They were warm and informative to me as a mature learner and put me at ease immediately as to all the young people walking around. I really thought I could not keep up. NOT! Then, the faculty. Yes, they were tough but tough to keep you on your toes and interested. ALL of them were outstanding. They instilled a discipline in me to stay focused, be on time and prepared and do your assignments!! They had a personal interest in my succeeding. (Hey Heidi). They held me to a standard and made ME motivated to finish and finish I did. I got to carry my schools flag at graduation!! I am so blessed to be an MCNY Graduate of 2007 BABY! I recommend to my mature prospects to GO FOR IT! You cant lose.

Dr. Milton A. Walters

"As a proud alumni I strongly recommend MCNY as a first rate institution and one that provides students with the tools to strategically apply cutting edge theory to daily practice. It is this professional practice that I obtained as a student that helped me both to continue my education and to prepare for a successful career. While it is true that there are many colleges to choose from in New York City, I strongly encourage you to enroll at MCNY, you will be glad you did!!!"

MCNY has a great environment for learning that pushes student's to evolve and also encourages/helps them seek internships in their fields to gain experience while pursuing the degree they want. The school also features a diverse staff full of Professors that CURRENTLY hold positions in the field they teach. You can learn how to be ready for the work world post graduation , by developing yourself and your skills, at MCNY.

"MCNY opened the doors to a much brighter future. I recommend MCNY to all people that want to get an education and have limited time due work and privet schedules."

MCNY is an exceptional college with knowledgeable faculty and staff. The school has a unique approach on how it caters to their students educational experience. I benefited from one on one sessions with my CA instructor who took time to understand me and listen to my ideas. He offered guidance and openly shared his experiences with the class. He wanted all of us to succeed but most importantly understood what it means to be a professional. He wanted us to understand that not matter the circumstances to continue learning and researching our fields. He kindly reminded us how we can learn from everyone and to never stop being learners.

Great private school, professors are helpful, offers a great variety of online courses, campus is beautifully designed and decorated, very inviting atmosphere. This picture is the silent room comfortably furnished right next to a very inviting lounge. As a student I very much enjoy studying here. The level of diversity is amazing, and everyone is helpful and kind.

I had an amazing experience at MCNY. The staff of each department is knowledgeable and professional. The professors have experience in the subject they are teaching and they help you reach the highest level of your potential. I would never stop thinking MCNY for allowing me to increasing my capability in writing. The LEC is just amazing. Also I loved the library. MCNY is one of the colleges in the U.S that empower students with a lot of skills and knowledge to face the challenge of tomorrow's economy. I wish they had a campus where students could stay.

MCNY is an exceptational school. The education department allows you to hit the floor running inorder to prepare you for the real world and the classrooms in the New York Board of Education.

MCNY is a fantastic school that truly challenges students. As a graduate of the undergraduate and graduate programs, I can attest to the dedication of the faculty and staff. Every day was a new learning experience. Additionally, I now teach at MCNY part time and I believe the school has only improved in recent years by engaging new students and bringing new programs to the student body.

Metropolitan College of New York is one of the best hidden secrets for higher learning. As a graduate of MCNY with a Bachelors in Business Administration, I learned so much from my professors. They took the time to explain what they wanted from their students. We met afterwards if I didn't understand something and they even took the time to set up tutoring sessions for their students. I would recommend MCNY to anyone who is looking to get their under graduate or graduate degree. The class schedules are set up for busy adults who work and/or run their own businesses and need flexibility to get the education they need to succeed. I started out at the Bronx Campus and moved to the main campus after my fourth purpose. I loved every minute of it. Looking to go back to get my graduate degree. Eula M. Guest Class of 2005

MCNY is a great non-traditional college that teaches you to perform competent human service work. I'll recommend for those already in the field and looking to move up. Great professors, works with your schedule and offers support. The Aluni program - MCNY Alumni greatly assists Alumni of MCNY's many degree programs in staying connected to the community. Through social media, MCNY Alumni maintains a strong network community. I highly recommend working with MCNY Alumni.

My time with this school ended horribly. I was drawn to the school because ithe school advertised itself as a good choice for working adults. So as a single mother, who had a demanding job, I enrolled in the MBA Media Management program. I knew it would be hard work with a Friday, Saturday and Sunday school schedule, however, I pursued it. This program was not flexible enough to allow me to make certain minor changes so that I could balance my home, work and educational life and still finish the program. I was not met with any help to work this out and finish my program as I had one last semester to complete. The absolute worse part was dealing with Dr. Ran. She was absolutely horrible to work with and since she was the holder of all movements in the program turning to her made all other problems worse. Long story short, I ended up quiting the program with one semester lleft, have heart issues due to the stress , together with heart medication (thank God that cleared up) and a horrible taste in my moouth for the school and program. I must say I enjoyed most of my time there but when it came down to it, this is NOT a program for adults with a career and family. If you don't have heavy demands to your life llike a family and a demanding career, go for it. If you do DONT DO IT. There are no other option offered to help you like... to drop a class or two and extend your program by 3-6 months or just change your schedule to fit your life. I now have my MA in another field and got it by a similar program that allowed me to change my schedule if needed.

Details of the Recommendation: "Great school, wonderful people. I would not be where I am today without the purpose centered model of education. MCNY is where theory meets practice and chaos is brought into prospective. Test ride a class and see what you have been missing."

I highly recommend Metropolitan College of New York for its unique style of learning. In our ever changing society MCNY is one of the schools that understands the culture changes when it comes to all the different areas of career paths. To keep up with the fast paced changes its unique style of learning enhances the student’s ability to grow professionally and personally, by combining actual experience in the field and implementation of theory. As opposed to traditional colleges that start with theory and knowledge and later is applied by the students, if they get a job in that field, MCNY sets its standard of services to the communities, organizations and businesses by providing hands on experience as the students are learning about the different theories. The benefits are endless when combining the applied theory to direct experience via internships because it allows students to work full time and also go to school full time the flexibility is great for those working students not to mention the professional networks built and the positive changes that come along with it, in turn making an impact to all the systems within the U.S. Graduates of MCNY become to be outstanding citizens, I can vouch for the integrity of the school and my statement.

MCNY is a college that actually teaches relevancy by instructors with actual experience in their field.

I hold a BA in Human Services from MCNY... The way they set up their curriculum makes the probability of graduating on time very high. If you apply yourself you will leave that institution with a lot of new knowledge & beliefs. It has changed me as a person for the better. When I first began MCNY I did attend orientation & was informed that the students who attended have a higher chance at graduating, I can't say how true that is but I did attend orientation & I did graduate so... I would never forget Micheal Molina who said you will not leave this school the same person you came in as. He was right! I left a human service professional (HSP). I always knew I possessed the compassion, morals & understanding that one needs to become a HSP, but what I left my school with only enhanced my abilities & added much more to it. This school literally changed my life. It helped me look into the person I was. It has helped me in my personal life. While you are attending MCNY it may be hard to appreciate but as I graduated as this new person I have to say my money has been well spent! A lot of money!!!!!!! Lol but my education at MCNY was the best investment I ever made & I mean that from the bottom of my heart!

Coming to MCNY has opened my mind to many things. I now see the potential within me to accomplishing so many goals for my present and future. MCNY, the faculty, the students all benefit from having such a great structure and curriculum that helps all to excel and move forward in life. I could not be happier that I am student at MCNY; I continually learning and preparing myself for life challenges. Coming to MCNY is by far the best "life decision" I've made. In life there is constant change and here at MCNY you receive the greatest support, knowledge, wisdom, and assistance with preparation for those changes.

I really enjoyed my professors because they taught from their real experiences. The MBA field trip overseas was really fun and interesting getting to share the experiences with such a diverse group of graduate students. The college is very veteran friendly and I believe you get out what you put into your work.

Aaron Johnson

My experience at MCNY was a positive one, the assignments are geared towards the field that you are entering. I found that it was easy to work out a schedule for both work and school, The Professors and Instructors have work experience in the subject that they teach and the constructive Action assignments builds your strength and ability to produce independently the teaching method functions somewhat like a ladder, you are learning new subject on each step and it is built upon the step before, this way you can adsorb information at a comfortable pace.

Beware of this school. The only reason I even gave it two stars is be the teachers are FANTASTIC. The teachers actually care and want to see their students prosper. But being a student here for 8 semester I can give my full opinion of what I’ve seen. The administration of this school DOES NOT care about students, more about “ the community “ than the students paying 10,000 a semester for an education. There’s a handful such as dr . Ardovini and ms. Salas that strive for their students. But people whom work for student related services such as mr.molina , David whom “ supervises “ financial aid in the Bronx , could care less about students. Bronx campus is consistently treated like the step child of the institution as they are just getting the resources the Manhattan campus had ( now in my last semester we’re getting this). The schedule is not flexible with no weekends for most of the later purposes especially in human services. They also have a habit I’ve seen of overcharging people’s tuiton ( did not happen to me personally) and several people have had problems with it. They also have switched professor without notice to students. Staff have also made advances at a number of students at the school which made it supremely uncomfortable for many students. Please don’t waste your money on going here.

Richard Diaz

I came here not knowing; ignorant of anything college related. I wasn't necessarily ignorant by choice, but by circumstances. Prior to coming here I had already completed my studies in CASAC training in Brooklyn, so I did have some motivation to continue with my education. I still can not believe the ease with which I became a part of this institution. I am not saying this institution is for everyone. It has its certain fields of specialized studies. This school is well known for its Human Services studies. If you are in need of continuing your education, at your pace, this would be the right place for you. You just need the will to want to achieve, the motivation to make it happen, and the resilience to see it through. P.S. PLEASE...do not put too much on your plate. Do not overwhelm yourself. Take your time. You have the rest of your life to get things right. Take it from me. It is only as difficult as you make it for yourself and that can be very difficult indeed. Good luck.

Very private peaceful, good diverse campus. Friendly staff and good quality education. All in 2floors. What i feel it lacks is a student activities clubs/debate club or sports for students to engage in while attending the school. This is more of the kind of school that you attend just for the education. You might make friends but,the school itself doesn't do much to allow the students to interact outside of the class.

Moe Thanks

Top Tier College expereicne, with a family vibe!
