Exotic Symbyote

Came here hoping to receive a good education after enrolling in a Computer Science bootcamp and learning the basics as well as more expert level concepts. The the majority of the CIS teachers I had over my first semester, had no clue what they were teaching and often relied on searching "google" for correct answers or help. This is a good service when working in companies when you need help with a fix, but as a college professor you should know how to teach your course. Often felt talked down to during class. When trying to test out off a Java Course and relaying all of my previous work/class experience in the subject, I was told it would be a waste of my time and his for that matter to let me try and test out of the class. On a separate note, teachers were often rude and do not respond to email. Had a teacher who didn't put/update grades til the week of finals and refused to update grades when the work was handed in. Campus is very dirty and looks like a horror movie. Awful experience, go to another Community College or go to SNHU. It is a waste of time and money.

I’m very happy to have finished and completed the Exercise Science Program in The school! From the expertise of the professors- the extensive knowledge they have in the industry is beyond expectations and how the cultivated each individuals minds to learn and hone their skills from beginners to young professionals in the industry very much exceeded my expectations. I would do this program again in a heart beat and wouldn’t wanna go anywhere else. Great job !!

Terrible all around. The website constantly crashes, phishing attempts and hacked computers are frequent, the building's lower levels look like something out of a saw movie, instructors will often not hand out assignments until a quarter of the way into the course. Staff is incredibly hostile and rude, especially those in the bursers office, admissions, and front end. and the bald guy who works in the front was so negative and nasty that it blew my mind. I did not come to college and spend thousands of my own money to be treated in this regard and if he were my employee and spoke to me the way he did, i would fire him on the spot. Garbage campus for garbage price, spend the extra 4 grand and go to UNH.

I have been going for 4 weeks now never got school email never met advisor the math courses are all on computer but in a class room don't understand why you even have to go to the class to do the math if it's all online. Teachers don't actually do anything in the room just sit there. No real point to it.

It's electrical, electronics, and robotics programs are top notch for a Community College. Does a good job preparing students to complete the last two years of an engineering program at any university. Or, on the other hand, will provide the necessary knowledge and skills for students to get their license for working in the field or to gain employment at a major corporation, like G.E. or Eversource Energy.

Called administration for info on courses and to set up appt. Woman on phone was rude and did not know the courses discription and was not listening to what I was describing trying to push me off. Then she states the program which a co-worker graduated from 2yrs ago which is how I was refered, was not the program and argued that. Then she hung up on me. Customer service professional my azz. Nothing professional about this woman. Well I have appt and will be talking to her supervisor that day.

The professors in the graphic design program take their job very seriously and are extremely educated and hardworking. The book store lacks good customer service. The library is an awesome place to do homework and recieve excellent guidance from the librarians. Tide Water (the cafeteria food) is a little over price and sometimes the service is stingy but over all not bad. The “pit” is a great place to unwind and relax between classes. I would recommend this college to anyone that wants to get their moneys worth at a friendly and diverse college.

The security is inappropriately aggressive come closing time. The teachers are barely understandable. It's a community college for cheap so you get what you pay for, subpar quality is an understatement.

The program that offers A.S are unique and very good for our technical fields and our students career. I would love to go there if they enrol me in admission

This school is bad. Everything about it is bad. Avoid it at all cost

Take my advice as a student currently finishing as the welding program. Anything you "learn" from this school are only things you teach yourself through the book and fellow students. I've only had one teacher remotely capable of teaching a theory class. The teachers won't take the time to explain something to you personally in a lab setting. They are critical about things you should know not covered in the book or word of mouth. Essentially MCC people tired or incapable of professional in their field of study. College professorsare paid a terrible wage by comparison to other teachers and the education I've received here very easily reflects that. Short version being check other options for your field of study, because this school has a lackluster performance.

School is pretty good, but the downstairs hallways (like room 126 and 129) have an ant infestation year round..

Awesome school. Went for an Exercise Science Degree and now I own a personal training business. Highly Recommended!

Manchester Community College offers a great student life. They encourage the creation of clubs as well as other student lead activities. I would also say that the cafeteria and common areas are very nice. This ends here though. Manchester Community College has a high faculty turn-over rate meaning that those who truly provide great service often are cycled through the college quickly. I often notice that staff that I once leaned on, left for other opportunities. This drives ignorance up. On more than one occasion I've been told that the arrangements for my financial aid have been in order. I've shown up to school to be refused admittance to the class. Their explanation was that my financial aid wasn't in order and the first individual was incorrect. On top of all this, it would seem that the school doesn't take the complaints regarding staff seriously either. On multiple occurrences I have written class surveys out that I never hear about. Once, I even had to go to HR directly. I'm not the only person dissatisfied regarding the curriculum of some of the classes I was taking. My fellow students have made complaints as well. These complaints include but are not limited to... 1. Showing up to class and the instructor being consistently llate (at one point 2 hours late) 2. half an hour breakfast breaks at the beginning of class. 3. 15 minute smoke breaks as frequent as 3 times a class 4. A teacher who cancelled all class assignments because they couldn't determine how to use lab equipment properly in order to teach. This instructor then followed up by cancelling all the homework and the final. They then completely change the syllabus so that the midterm counted as the majority of the classes grading weight. (this happened with the same instructor basically twice. Once even after filing complaints jointly with other students) 5. A three credit course with a 30 percent class failure rate is being taught by a professor who is using their high school curriculum. Each class consisting on 1 test, three lab assignments, a packet full of worksheets, and a partridge in a pear tree. (this is only a three credit class. Many students and staff members agree with me that this is the course load is worth 6 credits) I am willing to say that I took the AP version of this same class and passed it in high school. I will also say that I am disappointed that I couldn't overcome the difficulty of this class. (the only class I have ever failed. I blame myself for not coming to the conclusion before it was too late.) 6. Manchester Community College often only has one instructor that teaches a course. This means that if you ever fail a class and are seeking to take it with another instructor, you may not be able to do so. The student would be able to take the same class at another school but transferring the class wouldn't absolve the "f" earned during the prior class. This means students may be forced to take the class again with the same faculty member risking the possibility of failing again with the same pitfalls encountered before. 7. I have spoken to many classmates who have deep seated feeling of disillusionment. I only hope this college will start viewing their students for what they are - customers.

Going back to school in your 40's was a tough decision but here at Manchester Community College everyone made it so easy. There are online classes for when I can't fit the in-class experience into my busy mom schedule. I will hopefully be graduating in 2017, I am so excited to move on to my next adventure and so ready thanks to Manchester Community College.
