I registered and they keep sending me emails that they haven't gotten my transcripts. They spelled my name wrong on the registration, then blamed me for it. I am so unhappy with their admissions office I might go to a different school for the coding classes I want to take. The office was very very very rude and unhelpful when I called to be told someone put a y in my name, when no spelling of my name would ever have a y.

I've been going to this school for over a year now and overall I have enjoyed the experience. The teachers are friendly and from my experience they seem to go out of the way to help their students succeed. My only complaint is the staff can be...well, useless. I usually have trouble with questions being answered, endless issues with the financial department. Teachers are great but the staff needs to be polished over a bit. Their website "MyWnc" is also garbage. Navigation and and functionality is abhorrent and needs to be overhauled.

Distant Future

The experience at WNC has been generally underwhelming. I've signed up for 6 classes in total. A couple of them were ok, but I would usually dropout of the classes midway because of sheer boredom. I'm not aiming for any degree, I just wanted to take some classes for personal enrichment and to make friends with people my age. The classes usually become mostly lectures with not much time to talk to classmates. Then they would give you homework and send you back home. The campus seems vacant all the time with not much people walking around outside. Compare that to UNR where there's alot more hustle and bustle.

Contrary to some of the negative reviews I have read, I have had one of the best experiences in my life attending Western Nevada College. I have never had a substandard class nor an inadequate instructor. In fact, my mentors have gone above and beyond to ensure my continuing success. The counseling department has always been available whenever I needed assistance. The tutoring department and the library, proved to be invaluable resources. I would highly recommend Western Nevada College to anyone pursuing an education. Thank You, William Gilroy

The teachers are nice and so are the staff, but not very responsible. They've lost my paperwork for financial aid and I was forced to pay 1300 out of pocket.
