Here you will see the feddbacks of real people who buy the products and services of St. Cloud State University (College) in the area close to Minnesota.
Nowadays the firm receives a score of 3.6 stars out of 5 and the score has been based on 132 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is positive, and it is based on a high number of scores, so we can conclude that the evaluation is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This College is classified in the category of University.
This univeraity deserves a zero in my book for the price you pay the education does not match. The transfered credits options are so uncooperative and despicable it is a shame they call themselves a univeraity. On a more pathetic note...The forced diversity liberal credits are taught by a biggoted professor whos name i cant even begin to pronounce or respect. He made everyone in the class feel terrible on multiple occasions. When called out on it he called myself and other students liars in references to comments he made. Unprofessional and corrupt go somewhere else #!!
this look like a good college i need more information about it
I graduated many years ago from there. Now I am in the University of Minnesota. However, I like its library better. The professors there are very professional and nice as well. I saw someone comment it as a "community college". It's definitely NOT a community college. It's the largest among the MN State University system.
Awesome campus
My professors barely spoke english!
A honorable Institution that provides the best for it's students!
Small school but big opportunity for Enginnering major. I was able to work very close with professors and applied what I have learnt from my engineering classes.
Really nice campus, and for those thinking of schooling here, it's very affordable for what it offers.
Your desired career will determine if Saint Cloud State is the right fit for you. They have a great business program and offer some great masters degrees, but for liberal arts and sciences you are better off going to one of the other Minnesota State Schools.
-Housing problems: The dormitories are very noisy and there is little to no enforcement of quiet hours resulting in parties heard regularly at 2am by noise echoing throughout the halls in each dorm. *These problems persist at full power even during finals week. I have seriously not found a quiet place to study on the entire campus in 2 years of attending. Even the library is fairly noisy at times. -Cafeteria problems: They decided to decrease quality further from the previous year. There are often times where the only edible meals are the same burgers, pasta and pizza. The average quality of the food absolutely mimics high school quality. -Overly political problems: the university is fighting so rigorously to erase its dysfunctional past that it seems to overvalue dvisersity and progressive elements. I am studying a STEM field so it seems strange to be required to take 9 credits of diversity when I came here to learn science and already value diversity (but this is just a personal issue) -Activity upside: the gynmasium and workout places are crowded but useful allowing for lots of athletic activites. Many sports games to attend when in season -Resource upside: this university is very big business. Therefore, there are lots of resources that are helpful and reliable (other than the CA's). Some examples are reslife and the campus security.
Nice campus
College is a bad decision, financially
SCSU is becoming a pro-abortion, ultra-feminist, conservative-hating think tank. If you want to be indoctrinated, feel free to enroll. If you want to be truly educated, apply somewhere else!
I have to take classes I don’t need. Most advisors are no help. Students here are given no homecoming and every “break” had assigned homework to go with it. The professors are also no help and are usually very poor educators.
This review is in regards to Heidi Aldes, a staff member of SCSU. During her time as the Interim Director of LGBT Resources, she had a history of harassment and discrimination against some volunteers. She has a long history of racism, transphobia, ableism, and serophobia. She is okay with such people who are above her, but she will slaughter anyone who is below her. There were several people of color who entered the office to express interest in volunteering. She harassed them continually to scare them away. There were also other volunteers who tried to team up with Multicultural Services to do events. She refused every time. She said many times that she had contacted them, but she lied. Heidi also ridiculed an autistic individual who volunteered there. This individual had many years of experience as an activist, but that did not matter to Heidi. She constantly ignored this individual, treated him like he is incompetent, and harassed him to the point of severing all ties with LGBT Resources. Heidi also actively excluded transgender people from certain events. For example, she said that transgender people are not allowed to sit on stage on Guess the Straight Person. She said it was because she did not want to confuse the audience members, but her overall mistreatment of transgender people says otherwise. There was also a volunteer who had built coalitions between an on-campus HIV organization before Heidi was Interim Director. One of the first things she did upon being hired for that position was to sever the ties. One individual whom she perceived as HIV positive was harassed by Heidi. She refused to be anywhere near this individual in fear that she would catch HIV. In addition, anybody who disagrees with Heidi Aldes on anything gets yelled at by her. The belief can be something as simple as red vs. orange. It got to the point to where people were afraid to speak their opinions to her. They also had to pretend to always agree with her. They feared getting screamed at and judged if they did otherwise. This is not how to treat anybody! I write this review because Heidi Aldes has been hired to teach classes on campus. I find it appalling that someone as low as her is still working on campus. I hope that many people read this review and spread the word about her. I also hope people above her read this and take proper action. Firing her would be the best thing to do. This will avoid other students being harassed and facing discrimination from her. If it wasn't for Heidi, I would be rating this school 5 stars.
Giving your school a one star review bc Minnesota State Mankato is gonna crush ya in hockey in a few wks. Lets go Mavs! Also, a few of us just stole your Huskie mascot's head and are using it as punch bowl for a whop-Drinking party later this wkd for a going away party for our buddy Chad. Just letting you know, someone can pick it up from a garbage in Kato sometime next wk.
Nice campus!
******** Student 2000 to 2008. B.S. Graduate in Management ******** WARNING: Not recommended for Christians or traditionally minded students. This school’s main focus is to instill progressive/liberal ethics among learners. St. Cloud State University has multiple tricks to slow progression towards graduation including unreasonable GPA standards and liberal arts class requirements in place to affect the student’s future morality. These classes deal with the utopian communist ideology, are highly normative and anti-white. ***** GEOGRAPHY: Students considering SCSU must also recognize that this University sits on the eastern edge of the Great Plains and is always windy during the winter months. ***** CRIME: The city of St. Cloud’s police department generally has a bad attitude towards students and there are a lot of drug users in the area. ***** SOCIAL: If you do intend to party, then this is not a good school, everyone leaves on the weekend so you will likely find yourself driving down to Minneapolis to hang out with your friends at the UofM or just going home. ***** EMPLOYMENT: Students wishing to work a part time job during the school year must recognize that St. Cloud has an unemployment rate of 7.5 – 8% versus a state rate of 5.4%; so jobs are difficult to get in town. ***** POST GRADUATION OPPORTUNITIES: All of the post graduate business opportunities are in the Cities, and SCSU is eighty miles out so business interviews and associated internships are not available while students study! The most important thing about college is that the student gets an internship in their junior and senior year and legitimate internship opportunities are not available at this school. ***** SUMMARY: If you can get accepted to SCSU then you can also get accepted to the University of Minnesota’s General College, which has much better job placement, standard of living and course offerings.
I've been a student in SCSU for 4 years and I love SCSU. Curriculum is well-structured for most majors. Faculty and staff are helpful and approachable. This school is also very friendly to international students. Its tuition is one of the lowest in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend SCSU to anyone, especially international students!
Want a life full of student debt, forcing you to pay for student loans for NOTHING because you can't get a job with your degree? This is the school for you.. when deciding what I was going to major in, a major resource for me was looking at the degree website on SCSU to see what the employment rates are, what types of jobs I could get with my degree .. just to find out the jobs listed on the Community Psychology degree were jobs you can get with a Master's Degree. Why are the jobs on the website under this degree listed when they are all Grad School programs? This school is an absolute joke. I am now paying over $350 PER MONTH, for absolutely NOTHING. I have applied for tons and tons of jobs with my Bachelor's Degree and I cannot get a job. If you want poor communication from the professors here, little to no guidance from the advisors, and staff that have no idea what they are doing, this is the school for you. I am so disappointed with this school and extremely sad that I am now paying for a degree that I can do nothing with.
After switching from UMD to SCSU, I have to say that the education is equal and cheaper. Although I not as scenic as Duluth, if you're looking for a great college education you will receive it from SCSU if you put the work in.
Your pocket book in not more important than Maria Heltne’s future. Release her transcripts.
Low tuition, quality education.
It's a great college if you enjoy your truck being broken into. In the 5 months I've been here I've had 3 break-ins. Just got my 2nd window replaced.

The worst college in the state of Minnesota. The professors hardly speak English, the buildings and desks have been falling apart, there is little to no sense of community, and finding parking is horrible. It is also a bad place for those who are in a wheelchair as the sidewalks are very rough and cracked and the automatic doors are frequently broken.
the staff are greate
St. Cloud state university made my son A Graduate...A Master ...I too salute u with my son.
I'm a recent graduate with a Master's degree. There are several opportunities on campus for students to grow into their craft. I took advantage of many of them, and I'm happy I did. I'm also happy with the choice I made in applying to …
Loved the school . Nice helping faculty and good facilities for gym and sports
Waste of money.
Low tuition and a great ABET accredited engineer program. Plenty of stuff to do on campus besides party but that is an option as well. Nice balanced viewpoints compared to other schools.
I had been there on June 12, 2013 for graduation ceremony.
Eh
I am an alumni for SCSU; class of 1991. Also a former resident of Shoemaker Hall. I was at the University recently. My daughter and her 2 friends were taking a planned tour. The university has changed a lot over the years and for the better. Love the library! The resident halls have been updated, the common areas was updated. The busing systems has only improved. The sports facility was fantastic. I was a bit envious over the improvements since I had attended (which was nice for the technology age back then ;) ) They continue to make safety a big priority. I secretly hope my daughter chooses SCSU to continue her education at.
Great local College here in St Cloud. Tucked away among local neighborhoods it definitely has a small-town feel. Slight issue with construction on campus roads right now but otherwise the campus and grounds are very well maintained.
The facilities need to be re-done, nothing about the buildings inspire learning. The education building is woefully outdated, they need to trear it down and rebuild it. The cafeteria is C- at best and the food is about the same. Four of the food stations serve the same food everyday. the staff is good though. Those are really my only gripes. The professors are nice and understanding. The diversity rate seems like it's going up. Overall a decent school. Mankato facilities are way better but if you can get over that then this school is a decent option.
seems fine.
Look in the news for the Asian professor who was selling ivory and endangered shark parts internationally. Look for dr nue the Chem professor who slept with every girl willing to spread their legs for a better gpa. Look to ask their only md how to say pneumonia- its pathetic how one takes a medical terminology class then runs into checkovic mispellt purposely out of disrespect. Look in the news for their rape rate in broad daylight- from floor RA's/CA's amongst randoms. Look for their post break home invasion emails, because several home invasions happen every year during every break. Rather than be progressive, they'll wait for the inevitable then shoot the school an email after the fact to make themselves look good reminding people to lock their doors... what a shameful place to get a sub par education. Btw I was biomed 2011-2015
Hello, what about the admission procedure for a PhD in molecular virology
Beautiful building. We moved my friends daughter into her dorm room and I was amazed. It was huge and modern. I didn't take a picture because she's sharing with 3 other girls. I must say she is very happy she chose St Cloud State University.
Attended SCSU from 1985 - 1988 Now that I have been out of school for some time and have experienced "real life" along with other educational institutions I would rank my education as Fair to Good. Academically there were some good instructors and some bad (like any other institution) but did they (and the school as a whole) prepare me for working. No. I don't consider my time at SCSU wasted but I think classes could be better structured and set up more like how work and business in the world is set up. Many Masters programs have the right idea with cohorts and teams. Things may have changed but the education I received was lectures with some very little team work. To be fair to them, the high school that I attended did little to prepare me for University. I managed just find to make the adjustment but It should be said that the educational systems should work more in concert with each other. All of this, ofc, in my humble opinion.
Business advising is horrible, most Professors are terrible. I would definitely choose a different school if I had it all to do over again.
State university that's heavily invested in the diversification of the student population (for better or for worse). Great people work there and the professors are fantastic, especially the STEM career fields. Leadership is very politicized, which is to be expected at a public university but, red tape is a frequent hurdle and things take a long time to get accomplished.
Some many negatives of individuals not really understanding what college is. St. Cloud is great. Atmosphere, culture, location (river is awesome) and other benefits. A lot of reviewers want post grad degrees handed to them. You're not paying Harvard, MIT tuition. Education is about effort you put into it. If you have complaints about faculty, outcomes and expectations, look inside. Please leave food grades out of it. Irrelevant.
Why does the foam in the river water downstream from the damn smell like shampoo? Too Much shower time?
famous University
Nice school to be!
When I request information on your programs, I do NOT want my email spammed with all your garbage emails telling me to check out your school, that also don't tell me a thing about your school.
Awesome school. Often referred to as the Harvard of central MN and rightfully so!
12 "a google user" 5 stars..? Sounds like a homework assignment. This place is trash.
Best school I've ever been to! Amazing! I heard their mascot is a doggy :)
Housing was a loud of bs.
Meh
School just smells like weed and alcohol.
Stellar in every way! Beautiful campus
Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I completely disagree with the comments stating this college is unwelcoming to Christians. I am openly Christian and never faced any judgment. I also think some of the reviewers need to grow up a bit. SCSU is hardly the only college where students drink. I can however agree with some of the professor’s poor language. While this was frustrating at times I found them to be incredibly approachable and willing to straighten out any questions I had during the lectures. Although SCSU is no Ivy League I received a good education here and was not burdened with the student loans many of my friends have. I would recommend this school to my friends and family.
